the people in the office are great. The automated services and the jack a$# that finally answered were terrible. It's recommended that you call ahead. By the time you get through to someone you could be at the musc office. I was instructed that I called the wrong number, the one I received from their Web site. I was redirected to a call center where the jack as$ mentioned above told me that all I had to do was listen to the 5 min long recording and select the right number to connect with someone, which I did. This is how I connected to his line. I was then put on hold for a few minutes, now that fifteen minutes of my time has been wasted, to make a ten minute drive, I was then instructed to go back to the main menu again and press nine. By the way, did I mention that the answering service only had four options. At this point my child was already there and I was calling for no reason aparently. I felt like I was calling a county or government office. One of the worst things to deal with while you have a sick child.

We got there at 645 door was locked they are open till 7, they unlocked the door and seemed upset we came so late, if you want to close at 645 then change your sign. Our son had 103 fever, vomiting and bad cough. After we got checked in the attitude changed and Dr. Bonto was very nice and were there till after 8.

Extremely slow.. went there several times and the same experience. They are understaffed. That's not good for a pediatric afterhours emergency service.

I went in on Wednesday because my 22 month old daughter had a fever of 104.9 and wasn't eating. The nurse came in took her tempature and the fever had went down. Dr. Redfern came in listened to my daughter's chest and said that it sounded like a little pneumonia was in her left lung. She ordered for a xray to be taken. After xray, she stated that she was fine and prescribed her Amoxicillian for a possible ear infection. And sent us on our way. Here it is Sunday (4 days later) and my daughter has full blown pneumonia along with the Flu which Dr. Redfern never tested for. I had a family member pass away from pneumonia in 2009. And when the doctor today told me my daughter had full blown pneumonia on top of the flu I was devastated. Because all I could think about was what if something devastating happened to my daughter . I put my trust in Dr.Redfern as a medical professional to care for my daughter and she absolutely failed.

Wonderful experience here. Took my granddaughter in because we were afraid she had broken her arm. Everyone from the receptionist, to the nurses, x-ray tech, and doctor was great. Very patient, professional and kind - even with a 1 year old who screamed bloody murder when anyone touched her. We were in and out very quickly - cast put on and baby doing way better now. Great medical care by a professional team. MUSC hired well for this facility! Highly recommend it.

The staff and physicians are excellent at this facility and I would give them 5 stars but the way that MUSC bills services received at this facility is ridiculous. I have never been charged so much for such a simple visit. We will not be back for this reason alone.

Had an amazing experience tonight for our first after hours visit. Everyone in the office from registration to the doctor were very pleasant and made us feel at ease. The nurse (I can't remember her name) that brought us back was amazing and so sweet with our 20 month old, even letting her climb into her lap while she talked to us. I highly recommend this practice--hoping we don't have to make another trip anytime soon but glad to know there's a place as amazing as this if we need it.

If you get Dr. Dugan an older lady with blonde hair... LEAVE ! She doesn't listen to you, she interrupts you, and she rushes. She examined my son at least 3 times now and she's the same every time. All the other doctors have been great.

I went with my daughter with severe ear pain the receptionist and the nurse that was very nice even the nurse gave my daughter a dose of Motrin but the doctor was very nice also but I do not like her services I think her name is Dr. Mc Bee something ending in Bee The doctor did not do that much for her the only thing that you prescribed was Motrin and Tylenol my daughter came in with severe ear pain and came out of the clinic with severe ear pain when I went to pick up the prescription that she supposedly sent to the CVS pharmacy off on Ashley phosphate road and Dorchester Road when I went there as soon as I came out of the clinic they told me they did not receive anything so so right now it is 5 AM and my daughter is crying with pain so what can I do because I asked the doctor if she could send her some your drops and the doctors They don’t longer do that for kids so great my daughter has to suffer pain if it was for me I will not even read it

We took our 2 year old son with a high fever last night. The doctor barely looked at him and said his throat looked fine and it was a virus. That night fever got up to 104.3 with Motrin in his system. Took him to his regular pediatrician this morning he has Strep. I am so angry that they didn't even take the time to test him and told me it was nothing to worry about that it was a virus. Please request any test you would like taken there because they sure want take the time to do it.

Worst experience wver. My son had a temp of 105.3 and it was close to closing and they gave me little to no advice on how to treatcmy son. And they kept twlling me there doors locked at 10pm. There more worried about closing than treating patients. Beware.

The checkout ladies were great, however after waiting 50 minutes past my appointment time, they could not say whether I would be seen in the next 30 minutes or not. My daughters appointment was at 9:30 and at 10:10, the doctor was still with the 9:00 appointment. Not acceptable to have patients wait so long past their appointment times. Will find another pediatric GI that is willing to be more courteous with the patients time. I have a job and family to take care of and waiting this morning, I lost a couple of hours at work. Not happy.

2/17/2019(Sunday) we took our son to MUSC after hours here in N.Charleston. He went in with 104 fever, throwing up, diarrhea the 9s. Well, the doctor REFUSED to check him for the flu even though I told her he’d recently been exposed and is now showing flu symptoms. This woman still refused to test him. Said he “doesn’t look like a sick kid.” She checked his ears and mouth and said “The fever must just be from teething, I cant do anything for a virus. I’m not wasting my time and his tears when he’s fine.” We left. FINE!!! We took him to his pediatrician (Monday)and guess what HE HAD THE FLU. Now they’re sending us constantly sending statements to pay a $300 bill when they refused to test our child. I have called customer relations and left multiple voicemails with no calls back. Thank you MARY MARGRET DUGAN, "MD" for not doing everything in your power to give me proper answers on why my one year old little boy was so sick.

I have 3 sons, so I've been to this place a few times. The staff is always courteous and patient. I've only had an extended wait once, but they kept me informed as to the delay and took care of us as quickly as possible.

They currently have 2 females working the front desk and here we are 25 minutes of waiting and still have not been checked in. What's the point of having 2 workers if only 1 is working and 1 is standing over her. We only come to the after hours clinic when it's an emergency. Yet the workers don't feel as though its important.
