They don't tell you they will charge you for a doctor visit AND for visiting the facility. Expect your costs to be higher than you think after vising this location. They seek every way to bill you -- despite going for a quick visit because your child has a cold. Definitely not worth coming here. Go to Doctor's Care instead -- they're right down the street.

Wonderful staff from folks at the front desk, the nurses and the doctors. Very quick and easy. I had to take my oldest son here for x-rays and a soft cast. They made him feel very safe & secure. When my youngest son hurt his elbow a couple years later, I took him here again and had the same great experience.

Typical bait and switch MUSC facility. I called ahead, asked what the charges would be to bring my child in for a doctor's visit for a potential ear infection. I was told it would be a $20 copay. Once again, MUSC sends a bill 2 months later for "facilities charges." Despite what they tell you over the phone, they will not bill this like a doctor's visit, it will be about 5 times more expensive.

We took our son here on Sunday and we saw the same Doctor (Mary M Dugan) we had seen a previous Sunday. We were concerned our son had an ear infection. Doctor was very dismissive, said his ears were clear, and refused to answer any questions. (I happen to also be a nurse who knows exactly what should've happened in our visit.) Took my son to our Pediatrician the next day and was diagnosed with a double ear infection and prescribed antibiotics. Our pediatrician said they were very obviously infected. This same exact scenario has happened twice. We will NOT be back.

Absolutely terrible experience. Brought my niece here who granted had been there 2 times already that day and was made to feel like a fool because we were worried and brought her for a third time when her temperature was at 104. After the doctor on duty came out and publicly announced to the waiting room that we had been there 3 times and he didn't need to see her. After feeling completely embarrassed we went down to MUSC ER. We were immediately taken back and treated with the respect I would think a mother with a 9 month old who has a 104 fever should be treated. , Tested for the flu immediately which came back positive, where as this facility didn't think to test her for anything. Being someone that works in a health care setting this was the lowest level of professionalism I have ever experienced. I would stay away from this place.

They charged me $200 for a Strep Throat test (they saw my child for a common cold) -- on top of what my insurance paid. Doctors Care and Health First (across the street) gives Strep tests for free. MUSC just looks for ways to charge you money for no reason. Avoid this business and go to a different doctor that offers reasonable rates. They ruined my Christmas budget, for sure.

Front Desk And Nursing Staff Was AWESOME! They Took Very Care Of My Nephew Jaiden And He Felt Comfortable Throughout The Whole Visit. However, When I Called Back The Next Morning To Get A School Excuse, "Debbie" Was Very Rude And Was Not Helpful. Please Get A More Friendly Staff To Answer The Phones. Other Than That, I LOVE MUSC.

Mt. P after hours has amazing physicians and staff. This place has avoided many ER visits for us when the kids have bad ear infections, ect. and it is after hours so our pediatrician's office is closed.

Our little guy had a high fever and I had to bring him in to after hours care. The staff are wonderful--super kind and caring! The doctor was so sweet and did a great job explaining our issue. The facility is clean and it's easy to park. I would highly recommend bringing your child here.

We are on vacation and my 19 month old seemed to be having severe pain. She was screaming and inconsolable. We called two pediatricians in the area and no one would see her. We were referred here and I am so glad. Every single staff member was exceptional! We were fortunate to be seen by Dr. Redfern. She was thorough, informative and was excellent with my little girl. Although I hope we don't have to return, I would recommend this practice to anyone needing after hours care!

Do not go here. We called ahead of time at 9.50pm. My son was running a temperature of 104.tF. I told them on the phone we were on the way as fast as we could. All they said was as long as your here by 10pm we will see him. No emotion and no concern just mechanical. We arrived at 10 on the dot and they were closing the doors and walking away! They did not care at all even after asking them. They told us point blank "No we will not let you in we are closed".

Parents beware! This facility is a billing scam. They will tell you they are the same charge as your normal pediatrician visit then bill you twice, once for the doctor and again for the facility. Co-Pay was $20 but received a second fill for another $105.00 for their “facility.” Insurance provider (UH) has been fighting them for months and has begun a Fraud, Waste, and Abuse investigation into their billing practice. Avoid the headache and take your kids somewhere else!

Rudest front desk receptionist ever!!!! They refused to see my son in a medical emergency when I called ahead and said we would be there two minutes after they "closed". No emotion, no concern over anything I was explaining, and not willing to wait.
