REVIEWS OF McLeod Seacoast Hospital & ER IN South Carolina

Doctors/Nurses did help my wife out when her fever was high and rightly determined what was wrong. She felt better the next day. My biggest issue was the wait time once we were in the back. In the waiting room it was 75 minutes which wasn't too bad. Once in the back, we were there for 2 1/2 hours. They didn't seem over crowded either. They gave my wife fluids, but never checked in us again until almost an hour later and 30 minutes after the IV was done despite 2 calls to the nurses station and the nurse at the desk wasn't mean or anything, but just didn't seem to care. Doctor and nurses who attended my wife were very nice. Just feel it was a little too long of a wait than it should have been.

While most staff and nurses were generally cordial all around, they lacked basic communication skills regarding explaining the procedures, what to expect, what comes next, etc...instead the give you commands...sit, lie down, sit up, move your head this way or that, stand up, go out to the waiting room. There, you are kept waiting and waiting and wondering...Just because we are 60 years or older, doesn't mean we have lost our intelligence... I think veterinarian hospitals treat pets better than this hospital treats seniors. Oh, BTW, all this may be because the medical staff including radiology and lab techs are no more than 30ish. No one there feels the need to relate to us dumb seniors... Ah...The billing staff loves you..they took all the time in the world explaining the bill. Very patiently...very precise and very thorough...hmm...

I checked in with terrible back pain at 12:45pm. Told them I thought it was uti after complaining to the front desk 2x abut the pain I was in I was told that other people had come in with more serious problems. Well, I understand the concept of triage but in order for that to work you have to see every patient and take vitals right away. I saw no one until 3:10pm and they asked me again what my problem was. She than handed me a ruin specimen jar and told me it would take the good part of an hour to run the test. I was angry and said if someone had taken my vitals 2 hrs ago that test would be done by now. So here I sit for another hour waiting on the urinalysis still in pain!! I’ll never come back here again. Novant here I come

The staff is very kind and always treats their patients with excellent care in mind. You can't find one doctor, nurse, or even custodian who isn't happy to see you. It makes for such a wonderful experience in a place you often don't hope to be. They also have smiling valet parking attendants there to greet you at the front door. They are so nice and they wouldn't accept any gratuity. McLeod has went out of their way to make sure our experience is completely hassle free. I love it! 5 Stars!

I have lived here for 10 years. I have used the Cardiac Rehab 3 times. They are wonderful people. I have also used the ER a couple of times with excellent care. I would highly recommend them over Grand Strand Med Ctr.

Denise Nielsen

This place is awful! My elderly mother fell hitting her head and nose on a brick wall and was bleeding very badly. Her neighbor took her to McLeod and they didn’t even do an X-ray!! Now she’s having neck pain. The medical facilities down here are a joke.

Thr medical care difference from NC to SC is huge. I have been in SC (Horry county) almost 4 years, worst medical care imaginable. Drs not reading blood test results, labs low and no mention of it. I recommend you always request copies of your blood work. They are keeping us sick as repeat customers. Dr in the ER said my labs looked good and turns out my Potassium, Calcium, White Blood Cells were all low and Inflammation high and no one cares. Get your medical care somewhere else not in HORRY COUNTY SC.

Outstanding hospital! Staff from the front door, to pre-op, to surgery/recovery are all great! Orthopedic floor staff are the best! Knee replaced on Wednesday and home before the weekend. PT group is also the best! Back dancing in 3 weeks! Couldn't possibly hope for more! THANKS TO ALL THE TEAM!

Dwayne Graham

Since McLeod has taken over Seacoast and Loris, the care has taken a big hit. You never get them paid, bills from 2 years ago suddenly appear. Drive the extra 10 minutes and go to Grand Strand.

Irene Luden

Very caring and loving staff. Nothing appeared to be too much for their job is to be certain the patient is content. I truly loved their dedication and attitude. Many thanks!

It would be nice if we could rate such places less than one star. Today was my first experience with Sea Coast ER and certainly my last. Hours later, still I wonder if this afternoon was real, or a nightmare. You see, I was instructed to go to SCMC by my PMC, check in and ask specificity for a nurse who’d agreed to draw some blood for testing and flush my “Smart Port” implanted at MUSC in Charleston on Oct, 2. Though my PCM was to take over care and follow up after implant, nothing since has gone as planned, as it requires specific needles and trained staff, and the one PA they have with the necessary training had been in the hospital herself. This overdue flushing, pain, heighten risk of infection for someone with Addison’s...add into my even more serious medical conditions and the fact that I’ve had recent chest pain around the port, and vast edema in my extremities - a trip to the ER was on the horizon. They were also going to check my blood levels (especially my diadimer) in case I had a blood clot somewhere, since I’ve recently experienced excessive edema in my extremities. Once my husband and I arrived, we were greeted by a woman who was frankly unhappy just to be there, though we overlooked this and sat down — nievely believing we were waiting for the person we’d been sent there to ask for...who would at any moment call my name and I’d have my port flushed, blood drawn and port cleared once again. We were hopeful that I had no blood clots and that by the time this was done next month, my PCM would have things arranged for this to be done elsewhere so I wouldn’t be going in though an ER and risking my own health. Now this is when the gates of our version of hell seemingly opened. Once being taken into the back, I was berated by both the nurses and the so called doctors; some female did not introduce herself but insinuated she was the physician that could help me. Then the male doctor accuses me misusing the ER, and would not listen that I was instructed to come there by my own PCM. His arrogance was only out weighed by his rudeness. He went as far as to say they as long as he was on duty, which would be for seven more hours, No one, in his ER, would draw my blood or flush my port. Then he threw the plastic bag of text tubes across the room. I have never witnessed such ludicrous behavior from a so called professional in al my life,(and that is almost 60 years). This is so in become and inexcusable behavior for a doctor. With all of this, I can not, in good conscience rate this hospital even one star. There is no justification for the way I was harassed and verbally abused through out this two hour ordeal before I asked my husband to take me out of ER.

Janet Siano

The nursing staff was great, the doctor who took care of my mom was awful. Didn't tell us anything and kept leaving the room and not coming back with instructions. Had to come back a couple hours later to the ER again and had the same Doctor. Kept disappearing. Said he was going to get something for her pain and actually went home! Failed to give her INR reading and failed to give her instructions on whether to take her blood thinner or not.

We were told to arrive at 5 am for outpatient surgery, the hospital was empty because they don’t open the registration or the pre-op until 5:30 am. I was told to wait in the waiting room while they prepped my son for his scheduled surgery, by time they came and got me they said they were ready for surgery, I saw him for less than two minutes. After waiting in another waiting room for two hours, believing my son was in surgery I asked for an update, the gentleman informed me his surgery had not even started yet. My son sat alone for nearly two hours before surgery while I sat alone waiting for an update. When I questioned why they did that they acted like it was normal. I had surgery here before they added on to the hospital and my husband stayed with me until they wheeled me into the operating room, he walked with me down the hall as they wheeled me in. He was in the recovery room before I even woke up. I want to be clear his doctor was amazing and the shiny new wing of the hospital is clean and pretty, but to leave a young boy alone for hours when his mother could have been comforting him is illogical. I will update as we get through more of this very disorganized experience.

After multiple ER visits every year, 6+ a year, it is nice to leave an ER feeling like a person and not just a patient, or patients wife in my case. We drive the extra 20 minutes to go to Mcleod little river OVER surrounding ERs that just tried to treat my wounded veteran as a drug addict and refused him good care. We feel like MCleod Little River staff is professional and quick with their help. Each time we've had to go we haven't had any wait time, mainly it's middle of the night when we arrive, but we feel validated and sure that the staff did what they could to help without thought. They did all they could within legal limitations they have to abide by due to my husband's treatments with his primary doctors.

I was taken in an ambulance a few days prior to going to Seacoast to Grand Stand from my doctor's office where I was diagnosed with having focal seizures due to the mixture of Cymabalta and Trazodone that I was prescribed to help with my Fibromyalgia and sleep disorder. I went to Seacoast a few days later because I wasn't feeling well again and the seizures started. I could remember the doctor and some nurses saying it was Serotonin Syndrome. Even my regular physician felt I was dealing with the same thing. However, one nurse treated me like if I was a junky and couldn't even tell the difference between purple marker on my foot and a bruise. I don't use drugs or even drink and never abuse my medications. The nurse kept asking why I had needles marks on my arms which was due to the EMS and Grand Strand having trouble sticking me to run blood tests and ivs. It's always been very hard for medical personal to stick needles into my veins. The nurses at Seacoast stuck me 7 times before they could succeed at it. One needle puncture is now a scar because it was so deep. I have a background of bi-polar disorder, GAD, and PTSD which I informed them. I felt that because of my background and that all the tests came back normal some of the nurses in the ICU mistreated me due to prejudice. I was there a bit over 24 hours and once I started feeling a bit better and the seizures had stopped I signed an AMA to leave because of the mistreatment my mother and I experienced. It's sad that in this day of age people with mental illness are treated so horribly by medical personal who are suppose to be there to help you when sick. Overall, Seacoast has the most incompetent and rudest medical personal I've ever encountered of my life; the nicest person there was the lady who brought me my food. Luckily the Cymbalta is out of my system now because I experienced the rarest and most deadly side affects from that medicine yet some of the Seacoast staff didn't seem to take it seriously.

All I can say about this hospital and staff is they saved my life twice. The care was exceptional, the rooms clean and modern. The staff was wonderful.

Savannah Bethea

Dr. Harvey is the only reason this review deserves any stars. The nurses have NO bedside manner. Specifically Kelly, and the lady working the front desk. My mother had a terrible open wound and if this visit wasn't urgent, we would've gone elsewhere. Once I heard how rough Kelly handled my mother, I was furious. Karma...that's all I have to say.

I've needed two family members here for fairly serious reasons. Everyone was friendly, helpful, takes you seriously and seems to really care. I've been very impressed with the care, thoroughness and cleanliness provided at this hospital ER.

Irene Bridge

The facility itself is very nice. However, the service is something to be desired. My family has used this place on two separate occasions and both times it was a huge disappointment. I know that in a lot of hospitals there are staffing issues, but not the case here. We are never going back…I can guarantee that the nurses at this hospital would never treat their own family the same way they I witnessed them treat those patients. It’s really a shame, because the nurses are responsible for the bad service.

Shannon Doyle

The hospital itself I'd give 5 stars. Super clean and awesome nursing staff. The PA who saw me in the ER thought it was a joke and was in the room with me for 2 minutes. The billing department is a nightmare! The lady had no idea how to even scan my insurance card into the system. I had to show her and she proceeded to put in the insurance wrong. 2 years later I'm still in collections and fighting bc these geniuses cannot read a card!

Joseph Herron

Do not go to this hospital in little river, the staff here are totally incompetent, and don't know what they're doing. From scheduling to the people who draw blood, it's really a shame what goes on here.

Timothy Cleland

If you value your life, or your family’s lives. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL! I am 29 years old and have had multiple open heart surgeries due to an infectious mass that has continued to come back on my heart. The ER doctors are too busy flipping rooms to even talk to the patients for more than a minute. The entire time I wasn’t even treated like a human. I’ve been to many top rated hospitals and universities to be treated for my somewhat rare disease. This hospital did not want to take the time to listen. Again. If you love yourself, or you love your family. Please go to another hospital.

Trevor Muffley

Very clean and new.

Erin O'Brien

The world class doctors and wonderful staff are amazing. A special thank you to Dr. Cunningham and his staff. The level of care was incredible. A big thank you to the nurses on the 2nd floor. This is a 5 star hospital!!!

DJ James

Waited 2 hours while my child was in pain. They said they didn't know when a room would be available. They took my number, and said they would call when they could take her. They still haven't called, so you shouldn't waste your time going there since they can't take anyone.

Luanne Stillings

The ER doctor ignored my ridiculous medical opinion and fixed me. I was very sick, and they took great care of me. Am very grateful.

Brianna Eargle

They are so rude. And rather laugh in a group then tend to me smh worse service ever may 2 2017 @ 12:18

Great nurses mostly great doctors super clean and fast but the most incompetent billing department I have ever experienced

Moments Photography

I had a allergic reaction to shellfish. They fast and efficient in taking care of me. Very nice staff.

Barbara Grogan

Was there with my husband. He had a kidney stone which blocked his kidney and he became septic. There was not a lot of pain with this stone. Different than the previous ones. When we got to the ER, my husband was upstairs in a room within 1 1/2 hours. Had already had 2 CAT scans, a chest X-ray and an EKG all within that time. It was amazing. Everyone there was great. They saved my husbands life. I’m forever grateful!

Sandra McCloud

The emergency team and surgical staff are quite amazing. I was extremely impressed with their attentive behavior, the quality of care, the cleanliness of the entire facility, and staff communication to the families. Your volunteers were the sweetest folks. Most of the nursing staff was very helpful as well.

Beau NESTOR

I had to go to the Emergency Room today at McLeod Seacoast Hospital in Little River. Waiting time was 3 minutes to be admitted to a cubicle, and the required surgical procedure was completed in around an hour. Everyone concentrated on my needs, minimizing paperwork and providing a totally supportive environment. Pain went from a 'blacking-out 10' to a 'background hum of 1' in minutes. I am Australian. I have lived in Europe and Asia and now a 10 year US resident. I have needed to use Emergency Medical facilities too often! I have not received, nor could I imagine a better quality of care anywhere in the world. Totally recommended, because all of the 10 people that we saw in the process, (Admin, Nursing, Intern, Doctor, CMAs etc.. were dedicated professionals that were fun and approachable. The team was a well oiled machine that knew exactly when to kick into high gear and when to relax and relate. Congratulations McLeod Seacoast ER - you scored my highest rating. Surgery follow up: next day. Had to wait almost a minute; procedure was as explained. My doctor is also the medical director but still took time out from his rounds to dress my wound and make sure I was comfortable with the care plan. Total time on the premises: 12 minutes. I am rarely driven to review anything, but when there is so much pressure on the medical profession, it's time to give good press to the right people. McLeod Seacoast ER, Little River. Thenks to Dr. Timothy Carr

It took longer for my wife to be release than it did for her to be checked in and treated.

Kim Cooke

It is a very clean and nice facility. The problem is when you are scheduled for a appointment and you're told to show up a half hour early only to find out the person doing your ultrasound doesn't even come to work until 15 minutes after your scheduled appointment. Now it's an hour later and still haven't been seen. If I came for my appointment 15 to 30 minutes late I'm sure that tech would not be real happy.

The staff are very professional an waste no time addressing your illness

January 29 2019 my husband had a vascular procedure on right leg performed by Dr Benjamin Cunningham. Very competent and knowledgable great personality and overall a great doctors. Can't say enougn about nurses and staff. Would highly recommend Seacoast. Correction Dr Christopher Cunningham not Benjamin

totally unprofessional.

Waited in our ER room for 50 minutes with a screaming baby before the NP came in to see us. No one checked on us in that 50 minutes to see if we were ok, needed anything, or if the patient (the baby) was ok. When we stepped out to make sure they didn’t forget about us, they answered aggressively “we are a little busy and will be with you when we can.” From what I saw they were not busy, just didn’t t have the proper amount of staff. Unacceptable to run an ER that way! They finally came in, ran a test, and said they would call us with results so we didn’t have to wait. And surprise, they never called. When I called 4 hours later, the staff I talked to was extremely rude and seemed frustrated that I even called. It is sad that a hospital is ran that way and seems to be acceptable.

Tom Perrone

I am actually Tom Perrone's daughter. He was taken to Seacoast after a stroke. The people we dealt with in the 6 days he was there, were some of the nicest, most professional I have ever had dealings with; on all three shifts. It was our pleasure to have them take care of Dad. Being retired military, I have been to hospitals all over the US & abroad. Never have we had a place where everyone from the Dr. to the staff that came in and cleaned his room each day, were the sweetest, most congenial group we have ever had the pleasure of being taken care of by. Thank-you from the bottom of our hearts, The Perrone children, Teri, Tammy, Trish, Tracey & Tommy, and Mom!

Jerry Tarbush

Fast ER! They helped me and walked out great! Thank you Seacoast!

Eva Jervis

I found the ED nursing staff to be rude and dismissive.I required a CT scan that was ordered by the MD on duty...he spent less than 3 minutes with me before ordering the CT.He then came to discuss the results with me and he was wrong!I explained to him that what he was telling me couldn't be correct and guess what...it wasn't! He left to look at the scan again and came back to me...never apologized or said he was mistaken...just acted in the manner he had acted all along...arrogant!I was on vacation so was not familiar with the area but would tell anyone to choose another emergency dept if at all possible!!!

Rebecca Beavers

Very upset with this place and how the nurse acted. My son woke up one morning with severe pain in his belly. And we took him there. They told us he was constipated and I told the Dr that he wasn't because he have a bowel movement everyday. My son was in pain and screaming and the one nurse came in and asked him to be quiet that there is other patient in the rooms. After that we took him somewhere else to get a second opinion. Needless to say my 7 year old had a scare tissue that was completely wrapped around his small intestine. It really made me mad knowing how much pain he was in and they had the nerve to tell him to be quiet.

I was down for vacation and ended up cutting my foot on an oyster. Wasn't really bad, just a clean deep cut. Went to the ER. Doctor walks in for about 20 sec and says,"Its not that bad. We'll just clean it up and glue it." and left. Nurse came in, flushed out the cut and left. The nurse came back with medical glue and glued it(took about 5 minutes). I sat in the ER for another 1/2 hr -45 min before saying that I was ready to leave. Nurse came in, wrapped a bandage around my foot and gave me a pill a script for antibiotics. I was sent a bill in the mail for......... wait for it.......... $2,242.95 !!!! Listen people, this Hospital does not give a damn about you or your situation. It is a money mill. I repeatedly told them(which is true) that I have had metal removed from my eyeball and my my eyeball scraped with a needle(due to a rust ring) for less than this. My wife just had a kidney stone, got a CT scan, pain medicine and stay in the ER in Baltimore for less than this. This ER is a joke(and I surely mean it). You want to know what kind of person I am? Read my business reviews (RCS Automotive LLC) in Baltimore and see for yourself. I am an Honest, hardworking father of two and a husband. This ER just took all of my money I had and did so with a smile on their face. Do yourself a favor and sit and wait in a local Urgent Care center for just the same, if not better, treatment that will cost way less.

Janet Walpole

Went in with bad hip pain that sent in someone who obviously was very inexperienced and hardly got any exam at all I hadn’t slept all night said there was nothing they could do not even X-rays since they wouldn’t show anything the absolute worst hospital

S benjamin

Went by ambulance to ER at 11:30 pm for extreme vertigo and intestinal upset. They released me at 4:30 am. They had called an contracted out of town ambulance to take me home. Never told me. Just put me on a Gurne and drove 2 miles to my house. I got a bill for $250.00 from Marlboro County Rescue Squard a month later. Plus my insurance picked up part of the bill. What a scam! I could have called a neighbor for free.

Been going for years to Grand Strand and should have come here ! No sitting on stretchers or wheel chairs in hallways for hours on end, no overflow facilities and a wonderful staff taking individual and timely care of you. As a heart patient with many trips to the ER in the last years you appreciate the human approach and the personal attention - and the ER doctors and nurses are all super professional and nice ! I can highly recommend Seacoast !

Hi was sent to the ER by my physician on Friday night, September 7, 2018 Once inside I notice how clean it was. Was seen quickly and listen to. I was seen by P.A. Susan, nurses; Chip, Matthew, and the radiology department. By the way my wife and I are new to the area. The professionalism along with able to be human and kind to Us was amazing. Never knew a night in the ER could be so pleasant. Thank you Mark Urban

same situation issued with ER Doctor and next building McLeod park office is lack of miscommunication and tell me that i was not follow up or listen as Doctor dont listen to me as all just think they know it all Crap bad doctor and waste my four years family doctor.. just say waste of time.. i move to new other doctor

Excellent care from caring qualified people when visited ER with kidney stones. Prompt attention to pain relief, and if you’ve ever had a kidney stone I don’t need to tell you this is of utmost importance.Highly recommended.

Lynne Clawson

I, too, am disgusted with the medical care. The office manager will not return my calls; the patient portal does not post lab results; and when I confronted the doctor (Dr. Camarata) about the issues, she became defensive . I advised her I was leaving the practice. With that, she sent me a certified registered letter "kicking me out of her practice" after I had told her I was changing PCP's.

Anthony Zaino

The best care I ever had I wish I could give my four nurses ten stars because I would I had part of my kidney removed due to cancer renal cell carcinoma thank God we caught it early incidental finding on an mri it was a really hard surgery and my nurses were really the best they made me comfortable in a very hard situation my Doc was was the best Dr.Giewjski thank you the best hospital was very clean.

This place has horrible wait time. Been waiting 2 hours and still haven't seen the doctor. I called for a blanket because I was freezing and had to call again 10 min later because they never brought me one. If you are in severe pain I don't recommend going here since they take forever for everything. I will say the dr was really nice and accommodating. Waited way too long though. 4.5 hours 2.5 of those hours I was in pain.

Kayla Ward

The doctor doesn't care for his patients. He is very rude and lack of interest in what is wrong with patients. This is my second time in a row coming and it seems as though no one cares other then and RN that is on duty.

Tracy Williams

I tripped and fell on my hand and face. I checked in after being ignored. I was told that I would be called back but not directed where to sit. After I got back to the er room, I was seen by the doctor for less than a minute. I felt like I was a burden. He was there for 1 minute. He didn’t ask about any other injuries- I had a scrape on the left hand that was pretty good sized. I had a red spot on my chin. He didn’t check those areas or ask about them. The nurse didn’t know what she was doing. I asked about what looked like 3 drops of blood on a chair that was in the room. She commented that it could have been, and she would wipe it up, but we are in an emergency room. Have you heard of Universal Precautions? Have you heard of blood borne pathogens? If I am injured and am bleeding out, I would choose to bleed out over going to this hospital. NO customer service or bed side manner. I was made to feeel stupid for going. On the plus side, I didn’t have any broken bones. I don’t think I would’ve trusted the staff there to properly address any broken bones.

The only way to leave a review was to choose at least one star. To start 7/9/19 was husband was sent to sea coast er. He fainted from being dehydrated. He arrived around 3pm. Had a few xrays & ct scan. His chief complaint was severe left abdominal pain. He had been vomiting for 4 days not even able to keep water down. Hence the fainting. They took blood. He saw a Dr. Marshall Scott Wise, DO. He was there 3 hours with NO ONE giving him at the very least a cup of ice chips. I arrived at 5:45 after my job. With in 20 minutes of me being there the nurse comes in and says it’s time to go. And we looked at her perplexed. Then she asks if the doctor had been in to speak with husband. We said no, she well i will get him. He comes in has no answers for my husbands severe abdominal pain. Tells him to follow up with the GI doc. My husband ask “ why an i have such horrible pain”? The doctor well I’m not sure it could be many things you need to see the GI. I asked the doctor why my husband was not given any kind of fluids clearly he was dehydrated. He looks at me and says “ why do you think that”? Well Dr Wise his urine is dark. To which he had no reply. Worst experience . Oh and the discharge papers say if you have severe abdominal pain, vomiting or nausea come back. Well that’s the whole reason he went. Horrible. Some people should not be in healthcare.

Good luck here.

In Truth

If you are considering a move to SC and are in need of medical, I strongly suggest reconsideration. This hospital is staffed with incompetence from check-in to the physicians. In order to obtain treatment, patients are forced to sign authorization releasing their medical records to law enforcement and any and all physicians associated with this hospital, directly or indirectly related to the patient's care. SC has their own set of HIPAA laws that they make up as they go along and vary from doctor's offices to hospitals. Emergencies are not tended to by order of urgency, it is first come, first serve and most often mandate payment prior to the procedure or visit even taking place. Lastly, Carmen, in anesthesiology is lacking in empathy and professionalism. Immediately prior to my surgery, Carmen was arguing with another staff member in my presence. Once wheeled into the OR, Carmen threw the mask at me and with aggravation, said, "GO TO SLEEP!" twice, as the first time the mask hit me in the face and bounced off. Unfathomably unprofessional and unethical.

The nurse are amazing and very polite. The nurse don't treat u as a patient but as a person. The doctor on the other hand that I saw was kind of rude and had an attitude I'm giving 3 stars mainly for the nurse and the staff.

Celeste Underwood

I did get back pretty quick but I was taken to a dirty room so they made me switch. I was then taken to another dirty room so I sat in the chair. There was trash on the floor and the sheet was dirty. When I pointed out that the room was dirty she just said oh and picked up the trash on the floor. They never bothered to change anything so they went to every curtain looking for me because they had no idea what room I was in. I came in for pain in my ear and a burning swollen throat. Which she was rather short with me and said I don't understand why ur here because u have allergies?! Ummm no. She did no tests on me which strep has been going around at both my jobs. Complete incompetence here!

Carol Kintigh

Expedient and caring staff. Wonderful experience!

Excellent Hospital the staff is excellent always attentive and helpful. Great place to go in an emergency.

Del Toon

Have had varied services and care during the last few years. The doctors provide spot on on diagnostics and are very organized. Your appointments are almost always on time. The physical therapists are dedicated and very good at getting you back on your feet. They even have therapists and a pool available for therapy which is unusual for this area. Last but not least is that the billing department gets your claims and billing right. This hospital and their staff are a great addition to North Myrtle Beach.

Wendy Watson

Not very happy with the doctor on call. He had a smart mouth and he was very rude. Some the staff was also rude and had smart remarks instead of talking to me they talked down to me. Very disappointed.

Bruce Dravneek

I was on vacation when I suffered a laceration to the face by my eye. I went to the ER to be examined and treated. From the receptionist to the triage nurse, to the nurses inside, I found all to be very professional and skilled in the service they rendered and their caring nature. In a short time I was stitched, counseled and sent on my way. In the future I would not hesitate to drive the distance to be treated here. . Thank you McCloud!

I have been living in N Myrtle Beach for 2 1/2 years. I had to go to the emergency room once. I received excellent care, the doctors and nurses were very kind, pleasant and knew what they were doing. I did not have a long wait and was taken very quickly. I have gotten mammograms there twice and I have to say as uncomfortable as they are, the technician was as gentle as possible and very nice. The hospital is clean and pleasant. They answer your questions and if they don't know the answer they will connect you with someone that does. I would take this hospital way over Grand Strand Medical, I have used both and prefer McLeod.

I came to the ER here because of severe abdominal pain. After my CT Scan we were informed my appendix had to be removed immediately because it was about to rupture. They called their on call surgical and anesthesiology teams and within 30 minutes I was in surgery. They were all so pleasant and accommodating during my stay. I was terrified because I’m ten hours from home but they could not have done a better job. The ER team, surgical team, and the nurses for admitted patient rooms went above and beyond. I’m so thankful for this hospital.

Always have staff that is efficient and knowledgeable. Nursing staff very helpful and friendly. Never had a problem with anyone from reception to rehab to over night care.

On vacation with grand daughter who had an infected body piercing that had swelled up around the end. Urgent Cares would not deal with it so they referred us to an ER. We were near Seacoast. Waiting room was empty upon arrival and seen promptly after triage. Nurse Practitioner and nurse removed the stud, They cleaned her up and sent us back to our vacation with two prescriptions. When we left the waiting room was full. I would recommend this hospital anytime.

Incompetent. Inexperienced. Overall experiences here have been poor.

Worst hospital ever my brother was in the waiting room from 8:15pm to 11:10pm and wasn't seen then when she noticed we was leaving she asked why are we leaving so we come to north strand and he was in the waiting room for 5minutes now in the back
