IF YOU WANT TO LIVE, DONT GO HERE!!! My husband came in to this hospital in excruciating pain in his back. They didn't test his urine the first time so I brought him back. Then they kept us there for hours and he gave them the urine. The nurse then says "go home and we will call u if there is something wrong" I said ok and went home. I waited that night and the next day(yesterday), no call. So, my husband went in to his GP, as they suggested, today and his Dr says KIDNEY FAILURE!!!! I called for his results they couldn't tell me anything, so I went to the hospital to get the results...no results to be found. All bc a patient came back to get help these "people", if you can call them that. Please, if you care about yourself and your family you won't take them here.

I have a torn rotator cuff injury. Basicly wasn't treated and given a medicine that causes dangerous side effects with a medicine my doctor already given me! Calling a lawyer THIS MORNING

Some of these reviews are ridiculous, if your able to walk into that hospital and out of that hospital chances are you survived and should be grateful that you are still able to do so, because lots of actual sick people are not so lucky, everyone that has wrote a complaint about how staff are rude or incompetent, why don't you sit back and think of the 12 hour days these people are dealing with to help you, missing holidays, birthdays, special occasions to help you and your loved ones. You do realize that the emergency room is for true emergencies, like your heart stops beating or your actually not breathing, your child having a temp of 100.3 or a cold, your you think you have an STD and even broken ribs are not an emergency. When when are admitted you want the nurse who has more than just you as a patient, to be at your beck and call ASAP and if she does not get there quick enough to bring you a drink, he/she is the worst nurse ever and the hospital should be closed. Be thankful there are people that are willing to give up so much, just for you just to pick out the most random thing like the parking lot being dark, or your wait time, how about instead of calling them rude or unprofessional why not try and strike up a conversation and see if you can make a difference in their life. Stop being so focused on what people can do better for you try and pay it forward. Thank you McLeod Health Employees you don't realize how great you are and how much you mean to this community.

The lady at the front desk in the Er with the brown an blonde hair was rude an had attitude I understand the job is agervating but I’m a manager at a restaurant an I still have a nice attitude no matter how bad it is bc thts my job

The staff in the emergency room here misplaced my paperwork. sat in the ER for 3 hours without leaving the waiting room for a moment. at midnight I asked when I could expect to be seen. was told my paperwork was marked that I left. I politely said that was fine and asked if I could be seen now. I was told I would have to sign back in and be placed at the bottom of the waiting list. absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. I will gladly ride to the next hospital over for all emergency medical needs.

No one here probably doesnt look at these reviews though i am here to rant. I lived in a very small town near this hospital. I got pregnant in my teen years, and had went to an OB connected to this hospital. It was the most horrible experience in my life. The OB and the hospital. First the OB treated me as an child obviously i was not wanted. I was given attitude, i suffer from anxiety and i will never forget what the OB said to me i couldn't do things sometimes due to crippling anxiety and she went on to say "oh anxiety doesnt make you not want to do things, i am a doctor i should know " her even saying that should had been a red flag. I had no choice though but to keep staying with her. Now i had to be in the hospital to be induced. One of the old nurses with an young one was there the old one kept saying to sleep i told her im fine i can't sleep the old lady went on to say "sorry to say you look like a raccoon" the other laughed. I felt so terrible. They also pushed drugs on me and lied to me saying they wouldn't make me dizzy or anything i wasnt screaming or anything in labor they just wanted me to hurry up and have the baby as they said. I had my daughter, after a few hours later she was purple and they didnt really treat it as anything. She had to be sent to florence, i visted her everyday there. I could only do so much being a single parent and all. Then she was shipped back to this hospital where she needed more care for jaundice. So they wanted me to stay there i couldnt i needed my medicine for anxiety and all, and i even did stay for some nights. She stayed there for five days i didnt want her to stay when i couldnt stay (since i couldnt drive and everything i depended on people) they threaten to take her away. Seriously. In their own words "well we will end up taking her away if you cannot be with her" the staff made me very uncomfortable with their attitudes towards me because i was a young mother i was pushed over a lot by them, thankfully i was just able to bring her home. She's now an healthy 5 year old. And i am now 23 who is married and living an great life i moved away from a Small town and experienced another labor that way far better than my first. This hospital ruined my experience with my daughter and did so much more to me than i even listed. I am glad the labor care is gone from here. I am sure there is stuff i can do to sue this hospital for what happened to my daughter and what they gave and forced on me. This is a very horrible place.

Yesterday for the first time ever I had an amazing expierence Dr. Daniel G Simpson was absolutley the most amazing doctor. He prayed with me before he did anything and made sure I was comfortable. Despite the reason I was there he made sure I knew eveeything he was doing before he did anything. They definitely need more doctors like him.

Can I give less than one star? I would if possible. I'm new to the area, and there's not much for choices here after they closed bennettsville hospital....but I am so upset with my experience here, that it's unreal. IV never seen such a rude, thoughtless nurse staff. My extreame displeasure completely tainted the birth of my child. The doctors them self's are amazing, they are educated, helpful and recommended.... But they just don't play a big enough role to counter the terrible experience the rest of the staff offer.

Horrible treatment. Dr. Holdridge is the worst doctor ever. He lied about certain details of my diagnosis and I verified this with a better doctor. He has a bad bedside manner and shows no concern for his patients. They started a line in my arm and never even ran the iv the nurse kept saying I don't know why your hurting and I had passed KIDNEY STONES. I also was cursed at by a nurse during another visit. Do not go here make the extra trip to Carolinas or just stay home because these people aren't gonna help you.

Had over a 6 HOUR wait to only have the RN tell us MORE information than the DOCTOR did!! We had to ASK the RN to explain to us what was going on and she said “the doctor didn’t go over that when he came in”, we said no, so she got him to come back in and he acted as if he “could NOT diagnose” without more testing beyond the ER, BUT cultures and bloodwork were done and he said it “may be Bursitis”...... nothing’s changed but the NAME at this place!! Go to CPRMP or Florence ER!

i pre register for outpatient service over the phone and then have to do it again when I get there???? WHY? also, when you call the operator sends you to mcloud in Florence and then that person tells you to call Cheraw. just inefficient. They also cant tell you the price of the procedure ahead of time. Would you buy a house without an estimate??

USELESS AND RUDE!! Went in for an extreme sore throat.checked me over for 5 seconds,did a strep test,and told me I had an ear infection.didnt explain how or why,didnt tell anything.didnt even tell me which ear or how to care for it,wrote me a prescription for antibiotics and shoved me out the door.they refused to let me ask questions, didn't even have me sign the discharge papers,and they refused to give me a note on when I could go back to work,saying"we can't pull you out of work". I didn't want out of work,I wanted to know when I was safe to go back(I work with food).

Every nurse and the doctor I encountered was rude. Bust in your room without knocking or speaking and very unprofessional . This hospital already has a bad name but getting bad staff makes it even worse

Here at their new ER, it was fast getting to the back. The waiting room needs to be cleaned a little better. The ER is updated and the rooms are decent. The bathroom had a foul smell. However the visit was a quicker process.

If I could give zero stars, I would.This is the slowest hospital, staff is rude, takes forever. Lots of staff is sitting around talking and laughing. Weve been waiting for over 3 hrs and still haven't seen a dr.

If I could give it a negative, I would. They have no regard for patients feelings. Their staff is unskilled and unprofessional. Not only did they lose my nephews paperwork, but they had my nephew (a two year old baby )wait and in the hospital for 6 hours and 40 minutes before being discharged.During that time I had to give information again and they used my nephew as a pin cushion. They do not have an adequate pediatric department, and their phlebotomist have no idea what they are doing. The hospital had problems when it was Chesterfield General hospital, but now I wouldn't bring a dead dog there. After waiting all that time and telling them that I didn't want them to continually inaccurately stick my nephew, the diagnosis didn't fit. No, one especially babies should have to go through that. On a scale from 1-10 they get a -20 from me. The don't care and the whole system needs to be revamped!!! It is just appalling how the treat people and then send them for things that they don't need. That is called malpractice as well as Robbery of the insurance companies and the people's money.

All these negative reviews, come on now we gotta do something about that. It's a great hospital. If you have a chief complaint about any of the staff, you should ask for there supervisor's name, contact info and the name of the person you are complaining about.
