Please read. For starters, I wish I was writing a good and decent review because there are some good people that work at this office. However, Dr. Salas is the rudest woman I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I don’t think the college she attended offered a course in bedside manner, nor does she have any maturity when it comes to delivering unwanted news. She is blatantly disrespectful and has a holy than thou attitude. All of this explains her snobby snarky treatment towards anyone who is “average American” or “blue collar”. Heaven forbid one would disagree with the omnipotent veterinarian... Fact of the matter is, one bad apple spoils the bunch. Animals may be her patients, but she deals with human beings as well, and should treat everyone with decency and respect.

My first visit here wasn’t all bad. I took my dog in for excessive vomiting at around ten at night. First I was not greeted very nicely then informed it wasn’t an emergency but the would admit us. First, I tell them when they are taking her history that she has a slight chicken allergy. So what does the vet give her? Straight up canned chicken. Like really? Next she gave me a lecture of the dangers of feeding raw, which I just ignored. Finally, after almost 3 hours we get an anti nausea shot and discharged. I was told they would email me my discharge paperwork, and if the vomiting persisted to bring her back. Well they never sent the paperwork I had to go back the next day and ask for it. Meanwhile they sent me a survey in my email and I gave them a favorable review. Now I wish I hadn’t. Fast forward to today, which is 2 days later. My dog is vomiting again and now has diarrhea. I call and they say to call my regular vet. (They aren’t open and won’t be back in the office till Monday; it’s Thursday) So I call back and they say to bring her in. I arrive and they say all they can do is admit her and give her the same treatment as before or I can schedule an appointment with a specialist. So I ask when and they respond the soonest is Monday. So finally I ask what their advice is because I’m at a loss and over emotional. The woman stares at me with dead eyes and just asks why I’m not understanding her!!! Like really. You gave me options... but I still would like some advice. She then told me to call around to other vets in the area. Why is an emergency vet so useless and careless!!

Awesome staff and great facility...Top of the line. We went in when our cat was having eye problems...later found out that he had a terminal illness..100% helpful and detail oriented.. It was a rough day for my wife and I but VSEC was caring and helpful...Want to give a shout-out to the receptionist as they were all so kind and hard working

Excellent veterinarians and fair fees. I highly recommend this facility for care of chihuahuas (my dog) and other pets.

I apologize for being late with this but it has been a difficult week with the passing of our dog Roxy. I cannot thank Dr. Schmidt and the entire team at VSEC enough for the way they handled everything for me. Kind caring and professional to say the least Extremely sensitive to every aspect of what lay ahead from a financial to an emotional stand point and every question in between they were there. Thank You! Even after our dogs passing they were there offering sympathy condolences and kind encouraging words. They handled everything for me seamless and smooth and even sent me a card with hand written messages once again going the extra step. again Thank You! Dr. Schmidt and the nurses are great, I would recommend them in a second for any pet needs. Jim McDonald

True professionals through and through. I've taken both my dog and cat to the South Philly and Conshohocken locations and have had positive experiences. Most recently, I had to take my dog in and unfortunately they discovered a large tumor. The doctor was incredibly comforting and reassuring that even if we had a million dollars there wouldn't be much we could do for him. It gave us some peace in making our decision. They let us have as much alone time with our little guy and let us be there during the procedure. Two days afterwards we received a sympathy card and a paw print impression from our dog. Aside from the emotional support, their prices are fair and they offer you as many options as possible. I'd trust them with any of my pets.

The staff is friendly and very informative. I has to take my puppy here when he had seizures, they talked us through everything and kept my little guy calm. He normally hates going to the vet, but was super affectionate with everyone here.
