My puppy fell and I thought she hurt her spine. The staff here took their time to not only care for my puppy but to make sure my kids and I were okay. When the doctor came to talk to me, she was extremely knowledgable and had already got a second opinion from one of the one staff surgeons. They all went above and beyond!!!! Comprehensive emergency care and specialized veterinary medicine facility. Doctors, nurses and staff all seem very caring. Wait-time for walk-ins not too bad. Cost is probably higher than a primary care vet, but in a crisis or weekend/off-hour situation, worth it.

This is was my first time here and I couldn’t have had a better experience. Everyone was so incredibly nice and I finally got the answers with what was wrong with my kitty after going to two different vets. Sadly we had to put her to sleep but the VSEC nurses and Dr. Caroline Maguire truly went above and beyond and gave me as much time as I needed to spend the last hour with my kitty ♥️ Thank you VSEC!

We were sent to vsec by a local vet for emergency surgery on Thursday..they quoted me 5000 dollars to fix her and that she would die without the surgery..I didn't have 5000 dollars but I had hafe and asked if they could work with me...nope they could not they gave me a bill and let us walk out the door. I called around and within one hour of leaving there my baby (dog) was at Newtown Vet and in surgery within 2 hours for a 1300 dollar charge. Newtown Vet called in staff to save my dog. Beware of this place.

So we had an issue where somehow my cat got her tail cut by something unknown. When we discovered it, our regular vet had closed, and I was officially in panic mode. We rushed her to VSEC and they quickly whisked her away. The friendly staff helped calm my nerves. The vet, I wish I remembered her name, finally pulled us in a room, explained the situation and all the possible outcomes. She stitched up the tail and wrapped it perfectly. When we took her to get a rewrapping done at our regular vet, our vet couldnt stop talking about the amazing clean stitch work. I must also give props to any of the staff that had to handle my cat. They listened to my warnings and gave us 2 cones! She is the true definition of overly 'dramatic' when she is at any vet, total sweetheart any other time. Thanks again VSEC! Meowzer is completely healed, full tail intact, thanks to you!!

Cant say anything nice about them. Over priced. They wanted $3500 for pyometra surgery which is a spay with an infection cleanout. Found a wonderful vet that charged 500 out the door meds included. This is a place for rich people with life or death emergencies.

I've waited 1.7 years to get a condolence message from VSEC and it has NEVER happened. My cat Domino was treated there for several months and after spending close to $5k or a little bit more, he passed away :-(. Obviously, I'm still mourning and usually don't provide this type of feedback, but I'm thoroughly disappointed. This was my first time dealing with VSEC and I really wish they had a separate section for cats because they get stressed with the dogs around. They only have a few seats for those cat owners and if it's one or two clients, individuals with dogs will come over and sit in the area...ugh. At the time, the front desk staff were nice and the lobby was usually clean. I felt the treatment Domino received was good even though I wasn't allowed to go back to see him being treated, the doctor warmed up after a couple of months because she seemed a little standoffish at times, when I had an ultrasound done and asked to look at it the doctor who did it looked at me side-eyed as if to say "why do I want to see it" and the staff who took care of Domino (especially Nicole, I think that was her name) was awesome!! However, explain to me how much time and effort does it take to send out a simple sympathy card or make call of condolences? I bet if I missed a payment, they would have been all over me for it. Very disappointed!!! I would have been happy to give a rating of at least 4 stars, but with the amount of money I've spent at this place and not receiving a call or condolence card after 1.7 years, they earned 1 star. I do not recommend this place.

I had to have my 14-yr-old Labrador put down at the end of January. She was in distress and ill and couldn't breathe. They were so fast and efficient. I had called prior to my arrival and they were there waiting when we walked through the door. They obviously cared about her well being and mine. They put her down with dignity. They didn't pressure for payment. They made sure my husband (who couldn't leave work) was able to see her to say goodbye. They were a bright spot in a very awful day for our family.

Love VSEC, relatively inexpensive for an emergency vet. Nothing to do with them but dog owners don't know how to read- several dogs and dog owners sat in seats reserved for cat owners, a lady with a great Dane took up 4 chairs so I had to sit in the other seats surrounded by dogs. Not fair to cat owners- they should probably enforce the seating rules a little more. Overall my experience with VSEC as a whole is pleasant.

Do NOT go there. A RIP OFF!! I wish i never went there!! My poor kitty was so sick. $ 3000 later they diagonosed her with a tumor and gave her antibiotics for the fever. Yes any other vet would have been cheaper. They told me to remove the tumor is $3000-6000 dollars more. And care credit is only 6 months interest free. After 6 months i got charged a shocking amount of interest over $400 plus $63 a month interest added on the monthly fees on an ongoing basis. How is care credit a helping option? Why are they so expensive? other vet hospitals i found are much better and much more affordable!!!!!!! Afterwards, i called for follow up questions, and they were so rude and they couldnt even find my kitties records. The receptionists are not friendly at all. Go to Horsham Clinic instead!!

Being involved with a rescue group, I have visited VSEC many times. In the last year, they have really gone downhill. There is always a significant wait time. My most recent experience involved an animal who may have had a blockage. After two hours waiting without talking to anyone, I decided to go to CARES by Oxford Valley mall. I highly recommend CARES.

I had both a dog and a cat that was under VSECS Care at separate times. After investing thousands of dollars (because they gave me a good prognosis ) both of my pets died. I tried To give them the benefit of the doubt the first time by going back a second time but boy was I wrong. This place is only concerned with making money and will give you the run around just to make a quick buck instead of being honest so you don’t waste money. I would never recommend this horrible organization to anyone!

They definitely know their stuff. They knew spot on what was wrong with my dog. Unfortunately we had to put our girl down. I am devastated and heartbroken. As we were leaving and I'm hysterically crying, I get slammed with an $877 bill. I have to make payments for something I dont even have. Paying for the service isn't the issue, but you would think or hope they would cut you some sort of break especially since you just had to put you for baby down. I didn't want to discuss a bill as I'm devastated by what just happened. I know of other vets that give you a break after you had to put your pet down. My girl was on borrowed time, not knowing at the time what was wrong with her, I had no choice but to go to the e.r. with her. She was an amazing girl and I will be lost without her by my side and now having an $877 bill. That just makes it worse. All they care about is money. They will hold on to your deceased pet until the bill is paid before they will cremate them. That's morbid!! Hold a grieving persons pet hostage. I have an high bill that I can't just pay down. It's really sad when you are desperate to get help bc something is wrong with your fur baby and it's late at night and nowhere else to go!! They take advantage of that!!!

I do not live close at all anymore but I will happily drive the 2 hours past two other specialty hospitals to go to VSEC. They are that awesome.

I really liked her and her thoughts and recommendations. I highly suggest VSEC over CARES. I had been to cares for my dog and I did not have a simillar experience. VSEC is wonderful in everyway.

After having my 21 year old cat put down after a few months of treatment for kidney disease- I was quite stressed. Then my next in line cat suddenly became very ill. My main veterinary office was fully booked, so I took him to 2 other veterinary offices that weren't much help & overcharged. Plus he was getting worse - not better. That's when I persuaded a friend to drive me to VSEC which is not that close to home. Of course there's a wait as this is in evening in an ER. Received very good treatment & had to bring him back during day for CT scans. They gave the medicines that worked. The visit was higher prices which is just the way it is. People should be happy to have a pet hospital that's open 24,/7.

Made an appointment for our dog to get an ultrasound and review results with them to see if a tumor was operable. He wasn’t allowed to eat or drink anything as prep for the test. Drove an hour to the appointment and they reviewed previous xrays from our regular vet and said he had a tumor. We already knew that from our vet’s review of the X rays. They said they didn’t have room for us for the ultrasound until several hours later and then said they couldn’t fit him in at all and we would need to go through it all again a different day. Charged us $150 for doing nothing. Brutal. We will go elsewhere. You should do the same.

My cat Maui Benson was not her self very swollen abdomen could barely walk wasn't eating or drinking anything. Everyone at Vsec was AMAZING ♥️. I felt. So comfortable. I was so nervous an scared I posted a post on Facebook an they responded to my post on Facebook an sent me a photo of Maui with one of the nurses to reassure me she was okay. That made my day an made me so so happy. I'm so grateful they helped her an tried everything to get to the bottom of what was wrong with Maui. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I highly recommend.

I recently had to put my 18-year-old pup, Chase, to rest and VSEC was recommended to me by a friend. From the moment we walked in, without an appointment, they brought us into a quiet room and handled the entire process with gentleness and compassion. They explained every step to us, gave us as much as time as we wanted with our sweet boy before beginning, and allowed us to be as involved as possible, staying with him until the end. Each person we met, from the desk to the doctor to the woman who brought us his paw prints and locks of his fur, was genuine, loving, and understanding. We had never been there before, but it felt like Chase was being taken care of by family in his final moments. And two days later, we received a card with hand-written messages from those at VSEC who were involved. It's been a dark few days for everyone in our family, but we are so grateful to VSEC for their kind support and the incredible way they guided us through a terrible time. Chase's life was an extraordinary tale from his humble beginning as an Italian street dog to, thanks to VSEC, his comfortable and compassionate end.

Friendly efficient staff, very caring. From the Vets to the receptionists they make a special effort to individually examine and treat your pet and work with the pet's owner on a one-to-one basis. During the many visits I never felt hurried or rushed through the process and they have a sufficiently sized staff so that you don't have lengthy wait times to see a Vet. The Vets are I highly trained and experienced and a wide range of medical specialties. Our small dog had a damaged eye with an infection and they did an outstanding job of treating him over the past year. Highly recommend them, especially if your pet needs special attention to address a disease or injury problem.

Im glad i had a place to go at 1 am when my diabetic cat was hyperglycemic. But i don't like how they don't let you back with your pet while it's with the vet. And they couldn't give me insulin to take home on a Sat night or suggest where i could get some on a Sunday. That was the whole reason i came in, to get insulin for my cat and now I'm hoping he'll be ok without it until Monday, and i don't even know where I'm going to get it then.

The wait to actually see the Dr. way to long. Appt for 2 pm, saw vet at 2:45. First had to see the vet tech, he asked questions that if he looked at the file would already have the answers. Unnecessary, annoying and a waste of time. Then had to wait another 15 minutes just to pay for services. They are in need a time management assessment. My time is important. I was not late for the appointment, I showed up on time. I expect the same courtesy and respect that I gave to them.

This place cares more about money than they do about the well-being and best interests of the animals that (essentially) pay their bills. Awful and horrendous service, little to no care towards my kitten and a lack of professionalism that unfortunately caused my kitten to have to be put down 2 days after seeing Kieran Kelly, a doctor at the Levittown location. Thanks for letting my boy sit and suffer for 2 days instead of doing your jobs properly to ensure his well-being!

First of all, Dr. Maguire and Dr. Camp who actually worked with our cat were wonderful, kept us in the loop on his condition and their next steps multiple times per day, we could not have been happier with their level of dedication and care. However, the prices were a bit high for what we expected, and nobody called us on the second day with a cost update like they were supposed to. Dr Camp also helped us by writing a letter that we were able to present when we cancelled our vacation plans to care for our cat after discharge, and the hotel and airline gave us refunds, thank you so much for that! Now when it comes to discharge time is when things get ugly. The guy who was doing the discharge who’s name I don’t recall was absolutely horrible. Not only was he unable to answer any of our questions without going to talk to the doctor (should have just had the doctor come out at this point), but he would answer our question and then start walking away. We had to stop him multiple times because we had more things to ask and he just kept walking away without saying bye or thanks or anything. He provided us with medicine for our cat at home and gave us extra syringes which we appreciated, but when we got home we realized they were all sticky and used, which is disgusting and unacceptable. We really wish that Dr Maguire or Dr Camp were there when Gino was discharged so we could have had a great experience throughout, but this guy basically ruined what was to that point fantastic. We called a few days later to ask some questions about food that was prescribed to our cat and our two favorite people weren’t there, and whoever answered the phone didn’t really seem to want to help. We wish everyone was as awesome as the two ladies that took care of our cat. I don’t know if I will be back here or not

I normally have a very positive experience when it comes to animal hospitals. However, this was not a normal visit nor a very friendly environment. When you're going to a emergency room for pets they usually have designated areas for cats and dogs. This was not the case. They had rows of chairs with no separation between dogs and cats. Although the staff is friendly for the most part, after you signed all the paperwork to to guarantee authorization and payment... BTW just to walk in was $128.00. they took your pet to a nondescript room. You were NOT invited to be with your pet, but left to sit in this drably furnished space. Only after they were done the examination did you even see who was examining your pet. In my situation, my dog has a mass next to her spleen, they decided it was Cancer without a biopsy. The veterinarian gave me two offers, 1) go home and let her die or 2) she needed surgery right now and it might extend her life by 5 months at most. I choose number 3) get a second opinion. This particular veterinarian was not pleased with my decision and our conversation dwindle from that point on. Upon reading the findings from an ultrasound and x-rays there was no mention of cancer. There might be a hint that there is something but they were not about to do a scope and take a biopsy. Needless to say, my dog is very happy and healthy right now and we are going to a real Animal Hospital where they have all the specialist and equipment. I left feeling that they were more interested in opening my dog up and looking around and of course running up a expensive bill.

A little dissapointed that they do not accept exotic pets. My daughter's Guinea Pig had a medical emergency and we ended up having to trek 30 minutes out to Mt. Laurel to have her examined. I'm sure they are really good with dogs and cats. Mt. Laurel was fantastic.

I needed to have my dog put down. She was suffering from lymphatic cancer and was having trouble breathing. Everyone here was very kind and compassionate. They gave me the option to bring her home and bury her, which I did. They took a paw print and wheeled her out to the car in a box later. My wife and I each received a pin to remember her. The cost was reasonable, considering it was midnight on A Sunday. Under $200.

We are grateful with the staff at VSEC and how they took care of our pup. They wasted no time on checking her and make sure there was nothing wrong with her. Brought our dog in as a referral from our vet to get a lump removed. Cost estimate was $3-3.5k. We received a call from the doctor once surgery was complete and given an informative status and told we'd receive another call in 4-5 hours to let us know we could take her home. 5 1/2 hours later I began calling and no one would answer the phone. I called 5 times over 30 minutes. I drove up to the hospital and waited to speak to the doctor. He advised that he wanted to keep her overnight so that they could administer better pain medication than we could take home and they'd give us a call the next day. At 9 am I received a call informing me to be at the hospital at 1 pm for discharge. Showed up at 1 pm sharp and waited an hour. I'm hoping the quality of the surgery out performs their lack of customer service. The total came to $3320. Recommend leaving time in your schedule.

Took my 6 month old puppy “Jaz” there for a broken leg. My family veterinarian he recommended VSEC of Langhorne to set the leg. Leg was set & plates & screws where needed. Didn’t think he would ever walk normal again due to how bad the break was. But VSEC repaired the leg and walked us through step by step on his therapy recovery. As of today you can not tell Jaz had surgery on his leg. He runs around and jumps like normal. I recommend VSEC for anything serious that your family veterarian can’t handle

I can’t say enough about this place. They saved my little rescue dog’s life (Max). Dr. Eagleson was excellent and diagnosed the problem which happened to be meningitis. He was jammed packed with appointments but managed to fit me in because my dog was in such bad shape. Two other animal hospitals (I won’t name) misdiagnosed the issue and my dog could have gotten worse and passed away. I highly recommend them. They are pricey but worth every penny because they really get to the heart of the matter.

We took our dog there to have ACL surgery and if anyone has ever had to do this for a pet they know it's not cheap. They took blood work to make sure she was heathly enough for surgery as she is an older dog. They came back with the blood work and said she was heathly and we could proceed with the surgery. About 4 months after the surgery she started to develop seizures. We took her to another vet they also took blood because they feared she had pancreatic cancer. The blood work came back positive and my dog now was given 6 months to live, after we paid a large some for the previous surgery we can no longer afford another lengthy and costly surgery. Now I'm not vet nor a doctor but, I refuse to believe cancer just delovops over night and this vet either was negligent in telling us or just didnt care they only wanted a check in there hand. Moral of the story is this vet does not care about the well being of your pet they only see $$$ when you walk in the door. I will never take another animal here and neither should you. Vsec did get in touch with me about my experience with them and assured me over the phone that the test results came back negative originally and they could have no way of knowing that my dog had pancreatic cancer. I was asked if I was ever given the blood results back after they took them and we were not disclosed that information at the time. We were told by a quote on quote professional that she was heathly. As it turns out that was all another lie by vsec. I received the blood results by email and it clearly showed her glucose level was dangerously low in October when we were still thinking about acl surgery but Jennifer MacLeod the veterinarian we dealt with as well as nina from client services assured us she was perfectly heathly. My opinion stands as is, this place has no intergeritity and is dishonest and illusive with key facts and does not care about the well being of any animal or client they are dealing with. Do yourself a favor and seek other means of treating your pet.

Avoid this place at all costs. Not only was the staff rude, prepare to spend a lot of money. The technician (Erin) we had to deal was very un professional. She was very rude, and was belittling to me and my wife. Based on the way she conducted her self, and conversations we over head it was clear she was under the influence of some kind of substances. It was kind of a mixed bag of feelings, on one hand I hated everything thing they did. NOW let me explain, I rescued a puppy who we named TITUS . He was the cutest little guy ever. When we brought him home he got very sick so I took him to my Veterinarian at Buckingham Animal Hospital, they fixed him up as best they could and he started doing much better, but then suddenly on a Thursday afternoon he started having seizures, I rushed him to VSEC and they did their best to save him but it turned out to be DISTEMPER and the best thing for him was to end his suffering. So in the end I REALLY don't hate them I hated the situation we were in. So to Dr Kelly and the entire staff at VESC THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME, UNDERSTANDING, COMPASSION and the most beautiful and heartfelt sympathy card we have ever received.

Everyone is so caring and understanding. I just love this place. I have taken both my dog and cat to this place. Sadly Floyd my German Shepherd died due to blood cancer. They gave us so many options before we decided to put him down. He was in so much pain and it was heartbreaking to watch him suffer. We took our stray cat twice because no one will look at her. First time something bit her and it got infected. We took her on Friday night and had trouble giving her her pills and we needed another one. I called and they called back within 15 minutes. They gave me another pill and told me how to give it to her. I will always go to this place.

These people treat this place like it's a human hospital! Over seven years, we've taken our Chocolate Labs there twice hoping for a specialty miracle to save their lives. THEY DELIVERED! Call day or night to get an update on your pet and they will happily help you without question and without any sense of annoyance. Like a human specialist, you will pay for what you get. I gladly did and will do it again if necessary. Worth every penny. They are reasonable but reasonable is a relative term when compared to their name "speciality". There is the potential it may cost you more than your local vet.

It was one yr ago 9/11/17, that my dog Bear had worse day of his life. Sudden onset of not being able to walk on hind legs. Took him to our Vet and referred to VSEC for emergency surgery. His odds of walking again were low. My sincerest thanks to Dr Eagleson for his skill and compassion, along with every person involved in my Bear’s care. I am happy to report that my Bear is walking and along with post op PT is a success story. Odds were against him, but the excellent neurosurgeon Dr Eagleson and care he received from all staff at VSEC Levittown, along with us, his ‘forever family’ care team, got our Bear to where he is today. So on this 1 year anniversary, I want to say ‘Thank You’ to all at VSEC.

We brought our Rottie in for a consultation with Dr. Eagleson in an attempt to rule out any neurological impairment. We did not have to wait long to get an appointment, nor did we have to wait long once we arrived there. The office staff were very friendly and polite. Dr. Eagleson has a bulletin board filled with thank you cards from other clients, and that made me feel like our boy was in good hands. He was very professional but courteous and kind. He told us he needed to see a "horrible" MRI before he would even THINK about putting a dog through spinal surgery. He spent a lot of time answering our questions and giving us advice. We have seen a lot of improvement in our dog since following his instructions. Although we obviously hope his condition will not progress to the point of needing surgery, at least we know we have found THE man to do it!

My shepherd had some really bad tummy upset. I thought she had a blockage or worse (maybe bloat). The intake process was quick and we saw a nurse who took her in the back to get her vitals. All was done within minutes. Then we met with an awesome doctor who really took the time to listen and understand what happened that day. They gave my Sheila some subcutaneous fluids (she looked like a little camel!) plus some cerenia to calm her nausea and sent us home with a week's worth of metronidazole for her diarrhea. The price was way more reasonable than expected for an emergency room visit. This place is great, but hopefully we won't have to come back again

The staff is nice and they surely know what they are doing but the biggest issue is the wait time, even with an appointment. This is our 3rd time here in the last 2 weeks and no matter how busy or slow we have had to wait at least an hour just to be called. Today we had a 240pm appt just for a bandage change it is now 320 and still waiting. We've sat here and watched people walk in well after us and get called. They need a better system especially for peopke with appointments.

I brought my 6 month old Cavapoo, Biscotti, to VSEC in tears tonight because I thought she had a hernia. She got neutered on Friday (at a different location) and developed a large lump that I was concerned about. The nurse who helped me was very nice, he asked a couple of questions & took Biscotti back to see a doctor. A few minutes later the doctor came out with Biscotti and said she was fine & she even had a surgeon look at her belly. I thanked her and went up to pay and they told me not to worry about it and good luck with her. I know we were only there for a few minutes but they could have charged me any amount. This shows to me that the company has compassion and truly care about the animals & owners who walk through the door. Some of these reviews say this place is in it soley for the money and tonight that was proved otherwise. Thank you VSEC for giving a first time dog owner some peace of mind & not taking advantage! I would definitely reccomend this place.

We had to have our elderly dog put to sleep at VSEC. Everyone we came into contact with was extremely kind. The level of compassion from all staff made an extremely difficult day a little easier. This is a top-notch facility . We have had our cat treated here several times, as well , and we were very pleased with the level of care. UPDATE: We had to have our precious cat, Luigi, put down in February. The level of compassionate care here is second to none. I was absolutely broken, and every single person we encountered was amazing. Luigi was gently cared for and reassured and loved until his last breath. The office sent us a beautiful condolence card and note. This place is truly wonderful. We are so thankful.
