As new pet parents, we feel good knowing that even when our pup feels sick on a holiday (as was the case) VSEC will be there for us.

No one likes to have to go to an emergency vet, but this establishment is a good one. The quality of the care is high and the doctor spent plenty of time with my dog and explained exactly what was going on. I left very satisfied with the visit. The cost is a little high, but you get what you pay for.

Had to take my elderly dog there for a serious issue last night. While our news wasn’t good, the experience helped make a terrible situation better. The receptionist was so nice, the nurse truly caring and Dr. Dzienisiewski went above and beyond. We never felt rushed, she took her time and explained everything so thoroughly that it softened the blow. I want to thank them for being so caring. I would recommend them to anyone who needs an emergency vet, I wish they could be the main one. The prices were also reasonable for an after hours emergency practice.

One of the biggest mistakes we ever made. Took our beautiful cat here. He was limping a bit. Was told a simple surgery fixes it. Spent thousands, was told everything went fine. After a couple of weeks, cats starts to struggle some more. We took him back to VSEC Conshohoken and they tell us now it could be cancer, viral illness or something else. They wanted us to spend a few more thousands and no guarantee of saving him either. The poor thing's heart just gave out. So the cat goes from slightly limping to dying in a few weeks, and all we are told is to pay a bit more to have him put down. I still blame myself everyday for trying this place based on the reviews I read. My beautiful cat that our family raised from the day he was born is gone and nothing is going to change that.

This was our first visit at VSEC, Conshohocken from the minute we walked in it was one POSITIVE experience after another. The staff were very friendly and compassionate. We were very anxious and unsure about how this visit was going to go. Having bad experiences at other veterinarian hospitals. They put us at ease and answered any and all questions that we had. The doctor that we met was Dr. Salas. She was very caring, informative and compassionate. At such a stressful time Dr. Salas and staff put us at ease. You can definitely see that they're there for the well being of ALL animals and not just about taking your money. If you want EXCELLENT care from truly compassionate, caring and competent staff and doctors then VSEC, CONSHOHOCKEN is definitely the place you want to take your loving pet and family member.

Really caring friendly staff, brought my senior dog in twice this past year and they were helpful in keeping me within my budget by explaining *less expensive * options, even referring me out to different centers to help with cost, and they have a nifty pet medication donation that really helped us out. I had to bring my very sick dog to VSEC in Conshohocken on a Sunday. He had never been to their practice; it was the closest ER. To make a very long and emotional story short, within the hour of me leaving him in the ICU in an oxygen bed, they called to tell me he had passed away but they were able to bring him back on a ventilator so I could come say goodbye. Not only was every single staff member who was there that day so supportive and understanding, the Vet herself took the time to call the internal medicine specialist who had seen my dog 2 days prior to discuss him and decide how best to treat him. They did their absolute best under the circumstances. They were so gentle in explaining my options with his body and didn't rush me out. The Tech, on her own without me asking, had a paw print made for me to keep with his picture. I didn't even think to ask for such a thing. To top off this amazing practice, I received a sympathy card 2 days later from the Vet and the Vet Tech who cared for him while he was there. Of note, I did notify his regular Vet practice and I still have not received anything (he had gone their for his entire 12 1/2 years of life). If I get another pet, VSEC will be my new practice for him/her. I cannot thank them enough for the maybe 2 hours of their time caring for my dog and for caring for me.

I had such a great experience here! I took my cat to VSEC yesterday 5/20/18 in the early afternoon due to some alarming symptoms. Dorothy was a big help! She greeted me right away and said she'd be taking care of me. After a couple minutes of waiting (which is normal because it's an emergency room) no less than five to ten minutes, Dorothy called us up to the desk and got all of our paperwork squared away. After waiting another no less than 10 minutes (mind you there are a couple other animals there), Dorothy took Freddy to get examined. We waited probably 15-20 minutes, when we then went to the room in the back to talk to the vet. The vet, Melissa Java, was VERY calm and professional. She explained everything very thoroughly and gave us a couple minutes to discuss what option we wanted to choose for my cat. After we decided, it took about 10 minutes for them to help my cat and send us on our way! I highly recommend coming here. It was so clean and sterile and the staff was friendly and very knowledgeable.

I would also like to highly recommend Dr. Johanna Murray. She is a brilliant and kind doctor. She put my family and I at ease, explaining carefully our pets condition.

This office refused to see my daughter's sick dog because she was late paying her bill. Even though her bill was paid in full they still refused to see her dog at 1:30am. I even offered to pay for the office visit and they still refused to see the dog. How hateful is that? I thought if you were a veterenarian you were lovers of animals but it seems not so at least for this place. There are a lot of good reviews written about this place, but this one really tells the story of how heartless this place is!

We took our dog here for an emergency visit when we noticed she was acting strangely and our regular vet couldn't fit her in. Our dog was diagnosed quickly, and we agreed on a treatment plan. The visit was extremely affordable in comparison to the other emergency vet in the area, whom we've had several bad experiences with in the past. This was our first time at VSEC, but it will certainly be our go-to vet in the future! Our dog was seen within 15 minutes of arriving, and the office is very clean and quiet.

My 9 and a half year old boxer mix was having issues with his paw and it got to a point where I couldn't wait for an appointment at my veterinarian so at 2:30 in the morning I decided to stop by VSEC to get some help for him. the place was empty when I arrived. I was greeted by a young lady at the desk who gathered the normal information and then had a triage nurse come out to explain what was going to happen. Apparently their policy is not to let pet owners into the the examination room and I really really do NOT like that policy at all. A scared or injured pet definitely needs as much comfort as possible from its owner. So they left me no choice and I agreed to let them take him back to the room while I waited in the lobby. Maybe 10 minutes later they came back and told me that they were unable to examine him because he growled at them and they wanted my permission and help to put a muzzle on him which I was totally against. The only other options were to sedate him or just take him to my veterinarian whenever i could get an appointment so we decided to go with the sedation AND they allowed me to sit in the exam room with him to ease his anxiety Although I really did not want to sedate my dog it was the only option I had at the time to get him treated. The staff was great. They were very friendly, knowledgeable and patient with me and my dog. The doctor explained everything very thoroughly and gave me instructions to go home and treat him myself before seeing my vet again. The doctor even followed up the next day with a phone call and told me I could reach her if I had any more questions. They also emailed an extremely detailed report of what the symptoms, diagnosis and treatment were. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone who needs emergency care for their pet

Unbelievably caring staff. We came in as an emergency and we left with a dog that we thought we would have to put down. They did everything in their power to keep our little love alive. They even let us come in to visit with her at 9pm. It meant so much to us because we thought we were going to lose her. Clean, modern and they were willing to help us get our paperwork to the insurance company. We are lucky to have this place in our area. I tell everyone I know about this place.

VSEC Conshohocken is phenomenal. We had to take our dog there for emergency surgery. Everyone was professional, friendly, and I know my dog is getting the very best care with them. Dr. Jeffrey Christ is absolutely amazing. He spent the time with us in the exam room before the surgery, answering all of our questions, was extremely thorough and did not make us feel rushed. He made us feel totally comfortable and is a very genuine caring doctor. He understands the connection we have with our pets and made this whole process much easier. He called with any updates as soon as they arose. The office space is new, clean, and they’ve created a really nice atmosphere. After the surgery Dr. Christ and the staff were always available to answer any questions we had. He made this very tough time manageable. We also got an itemized detailed list that about that night's visit. I am so happy that we found Dr. Christ and VSEC!

My 12 year old chihuahua has been a senior dog in age for about 2 years but he's just now starting to act the part. He's developed terrible arthritis and joint dislocation in his legs and is now having neck/shoulder issues and a slight heart murmur. He's had a few scares before and I had VSEC on my list of places to take him but we always end up taking him to his normal vet during business hours and they're able to get him back to normal but when I asked, they highly recommended VSEC for future emergencies. Well a few days ago we had another dislocation scare in the middle of the night (around 11:00pm) and VSEC immediately came to mind. Hopped in the car, took the 25 min drive and I'm so happy we did! Great experience from start to finish! I was very happy with my experience and I'd most certainly come back. Let me just say , having been to another reputable (but ridiculously expensive) vet in Center City Philadelphia, VSEC was much more affordable (and welcoming) than what I imagined. I expected to pay a hefty price but only ended up spending less than half of what I thought! Off to a great start! I expected it to be crowded but they were pretty empty ( I wonder how it is crowded) and the woman at the front desk was SO SWEET, patient and helpful. They had him checked in and in the back running diagnostics within 5-10 mins of arrival.At the 30 mins mark they put him in a room and allowed me to go back and be with him. At the 45 mins mark- the doctor came in to go over the findings and all the possible routes of treatment. Dr. Nelson was great! He was very thorough in explaining what could be wrong and all the possible steps we could take and made sure I was comfortable with everything we discussed. By the 1 hour mark another dog had come in that was significantly worse off so Dr. Nelson was behind in getting my discharge papers in order. The receptionist gave me the option of receiving my papers later on by email so I could leave at a decent time. Check out was smooth and easy. They sent us home with all the necessary meds and instructions and my recap papers were sent to be my 1:30AM as well as a copy sent to his primary vet! TOTAL TIME SPENT: 1HR 15MINS

When one of our three dogs tore his ACL two months ago, we received so many referalls to different doctors and didn't know where to turn. We chose VSEC Conshohocken mostly for proximity to our home, assuming this wouldn't be the last emergency or need for specialists with our aging pack, and we trulycould not be happier with the decision. Mikey had his last check up this morning after his TPLO surgery 8 weeks ago, and we left feeling confident that we have a tried and true safe place to turn for guidance and help in the future. Dr. Salas did a beautiful job on his knee and he healed completely by the book thanks to her good work. We're so grateful to the whole team there for making this such a seamless process!

Wow, just wow. After a alarming fall of my Boston terrier and debating what to do, we heading to this facility around 22:00 on a weekday. They were quite accommodating and personable. Unfortunately, I didn't catch the name of the receptionist however she was a pleasure to talk to and laugh with. Dr. C. Dzienisiewski provided excellent care, explaination and patience ( with pet and it's owner). Having to make the decision to put down a beloved pet is awful. I knew the time had come and my mother and I came here in the after hours knowing that my 17 year old cat was suffering. From the receptionist to the doctor to the technician, everyone was amazing. They had a special room where we could sit on a couch and hold and cuddle my kitty to the end. They made an imprint of his paw and gave me some small momentos. Anything that would make the situation less painful was done. The doctor consulted with us so that I felt certain that I was making the right choice and the process was explained fully and clearly. I would recommend them to anyone who finds themselves in a pet end of life situation. I feel certain that they would be equally attentive and kind under any other type of pet healthcare need.
