This was one of the worst experiences ever. My wife was brought in by ambulance and I depended on them to care for my wife. Tha ambulance made note that my wife's pressure and heart rate were off and violent emesis, but they parked her in the waiting room for 2.5 hrs! Who does that with a patient coming by ambulance? Anyhow,Dr stated wife was extremely dehydrated and requested the nurse put a bag of fluid after ambulance service one was out. She never came. Dr came in,my wife's pressure is 90/36 and a heart rate of 46,she is dizzy and asks for something for it. Dr says bags of fluid instead of medication. The bag of fluid never got there. Dr comes in says, well if you want I can admit,or I can send home-if I admit,it will be too expensive for you! Since when does"medical necessity" have a negotiation price? We have blue cross, bill them! We asked, does she NEED to be in hospital? It's her choice Dr says!!!!!!! That's appalling. My wife is sick, and not the professional here. The nurse comes back in,my wife says I'm still really dizzy, and second bag of fluid did not come yet-she says," Dr. Forgot to order it,sometimes when dr.is in room, does not translate to what's actually ordered." My wife was shocked, they're gonna send her home not able to swallow, and dangerous pressure and heart rate, and shes dizzy! They never gave her the fluid,or the med to help with the dizziness. They discharged her this way,and did not even come get me to help her out when I brought car-sent her out by herself and she fell in nurse hallway-nobody even asked if she was ok,or could help her up!! She got up with help of a chair, and left. I am definitely filing some grievance here. Also,I did not mention that the 2.5 hrs spent in waiting room,we heard, saw and were privy to about 5 other patients medical privacy. I heard their meds, treatment and conditions because they triage and treat IN THE WAITING AREA. This has to be a violation of privacy laws for HIPAA, as I and those other patients were given meds, and treatment in a non private environment, as well as talked to about symptoms and treatment in the area that was crowded with people. Do not go here EVER,if you can!
