I cannot seem to get a phone call returned from this location when I request a call back from my provider or their team about something other than a typical visit. I hardly ever call requesting to speak to anyone (maybe four times in 2 years) so I don't know why this would be an issue. It's really a toss of the dice whether the front desk staff are going to be polite/professional/helpful and knowledgeable, or abrupt/bordering on rude and discourteous. Wait times to schedule standard visits and blood tests seem to be much shorter. Clearly a newer facility - nice rooms, finishings, bathrooms, etc. Yes, there is a soda and candy machine. Lots of space to sit.

Tried to get counseling set up for my PTSD after being refferred by people and the main VA downtown. The lady in charge of the mental health said she doesn’t help veterans with ptsd only ones mental health issues ? yes you read that right....

Overall much better then the downtown facility, much cleaner and overall the staff is much nicer and seems to act like they actually care.

Wait time is way less then main va down town. Doc listens but seems to be reading a script on what to say. Nice clinic, easy to get to. Parking is available but spaces are tight.

Compared to waiting at the VA Hospital itself, this place has saved a great deal of time and the doctors seem to listen better. Being a veteran and finding good care is not always easy. I feel like the people here do truly care. I have been to a lot of VA facilities and this one has by far treated me the best and respected me the most.

Totally wasting time and gas to this facility. Dr didn't put correct labs in . lab had me waiting forever I had to leave. I informed front desk. I came back to her labs done. No labs in system. Front desk message nursery out in. I was told they didn't know how long. I was on my lunch break and again had to leave without labs done. Maybe I'll have better luck at main VA hospital

Death Due to the VA South Clinic, 2 or almost 3 months Back Log Appts! When my husband was a patient of Doctor Rivera at the South VA Clinic, the receptionist would always tell me in 2016-2017 that she couldn't get my husband in to see Doctor Rivera, until 2 or almost 3 months later. My husband was very sick and every time I would call, the receptionist would tell me the same thing. Well, my husband was hospitalized and died at the VA Hospital for not being treated earlier. I know now, that my husband should have stayed with his previous Doctor, at the main VA Medical Center in OKC because there wasn't hardly any wait, at all.

My father has been trying to get a hold of his primary care doctor and has failed every time, with promises of being called back, that rarely happen. If he does get a call back its at the end of the day and if he happens to miss the call by even just a few seconds and call back, the phones are off until the morning, this has been a couple day process. I am sure i do not know what the issue is, so maybe if i make this public he can get the care he needs, and the answers to his questions. He has been sent to the hospital (emergency )via ambulance four times this month at least being prescribed multiple different medications. Medications he happens to be allergic to, medications that are not supposed to be mixed. Now he has stopped taking the medications due to shaking, stroke range blood pressure, numbness on one side of the body, tingling in the arms, shortness of breathe, tightness in his chest and i'm sure i am missing some other lovely effects. With that being said it is no longer a medical emergency, his blood pressure is climbing but not outrageous and he only wishes to get a hold of his doctor to see if he needs to know what to do about it, seeing that all the other doctors mostly in the emergency rooms tell him to DOUBLE or TRIPLE up on the medication that has made him sick already due to their negligence hes not wanting another trip to the emergency room, so i would appreciate it if you got back with him before it is a medical emergency and you pass the buck once again. ill have to say im a pretty mild mannered person who doesn't like to cause to many ripples, but my father, let alone a veteran not being able to contact his primary care doctor and having a very rude lady answering the phones telling him to call back tomorrow, which is her answer every single time happens to elevate my blood pressure. I do not want to be writing reviews, i do not want to be the guy that's upset, i don't wish to be the guy that threatens to call news 9 , i only want my father to be able to get the answers he needs, but it seems nothing works. I sincerely hope to receive a reply from you, more so i just hope you contact my father and just answer a few questions before something tragic happens. Regards, Nathaniel Willard

The doctor is great. Nurse is great. As for the rest, not so great.
