Dr. Cannon n staff are top knotch. Answered all questions in a way that was understandable. Nurses ,Respiratory and lab coordinated so the patient was able to rest. Family was encouraged to participate in patients recovery process. Food was outstanding. I recommend this hospital for all things heart and lung related.

I'm still here going to have a quadruple bypass soon but so far the staff is great with the exception of one nurse who just doesn't have any bedside manners and very rough with injections(but that's only one of a lot of nurses who are great) , the food is wonderful the staff is friendly and take good care of me.

The emergency room visit was quick and the doctor and staff were very nice and respectful. However, we got a bill from the physician's billing that stated we were past due and they threatened to send us to collections. The problem, however, is that this is the first bill we received and they hadn't even bothered to send it to the secondary insurance, which they had on file, before threatening collections... Then we got a bill from the hospital billing. This bill also stated that we were past due and threatened collections. Again, this was the first bill or statement we had gotten from them. To threaten to ruin someone's credit without even doing the due diligence to notify someone of a balance, or even file with the proper insurance companies is very unprofessional and we will never visit this facility again. Unfortunately, the accounting department managed to undo everything good about this place and I will not recommend it to anyone. Update as of Jan 29th. A patient services representative with the physicians billing stated that they would bill the secondary insurance and that they had the information needed already on file. The claim was still never filed with the secondary insurance. We just received a collections notice from HRRG... I am one of the lucky ones. After the secondary insurance pays, the FSA will but the FSA can't pay until they bill the insurances!! Basically, their poor billing practices are resulting in them not getting paid and my husbands credit getting hurt. Might be time to report them... This might affect us buying a bigger house!!

MRI department room # 109 to be exact!! Lady that sits at the window #1 named Melissa has the worst attitude ever!!! And definitely needs to be disciplined!! It is obviously she's not a morning person or sick of her job!! Elderly people & other people are sick and don't feel good anyway! Patrons definitely don't need no attitude to go with the pain they're already experiencing!!

Very impressed with the this place. Staff was exceptional and took great care of my Dad. The nurses were there in seconds, anytime we needed them. The Food! WOW! It tasted great and was delivered to the room fast. I’d highly recommend this place if you have a choice for yourself or a loved one.

Horrible experience. I was told to go to the ER by a Dr. The ER Dr came in, wouldn't listen to anything we were trying to tell him, didn't even diagnose me right. (He told me I had 1 of 3 things. Didn't tell me which it was. Then the paperwork said actually I had a fourth thing that he hadn't even said.) He then walked out after not checking the other issues the Dr who sent me there wanted me to have looked at. And of course when I called the hospital to complain all I get is, "we feel your care was appropriate". Horrible hospital, terrible staff. (Except the front desk girls. They were nice.) But Dr Reynolds is a terrible terrible Dr and their staff doesn't care anything about patients.

My husband had an angiogram done and the staff (,nurses, administration, doctor and even the cafeteria people were awesome).... The nurse Tara was awesome. She heard my husband and I talking about getting a hotel cause we live in Arkansas and didn't feel he needed to ride that far.. She had us stop and wait a few minutes as we were getting ready to leave. We waited and she made a call to Rose. Next thing we know they are giving us a voucher for a hotel night and already made all the arrangements. It was a lot better hotel than what we could afford. So thanks to everyone at Oklahoma Heart Hospital on South side!!! Special thanks to Nurse Tara and Rose!!!!

I cam here, finally, after putting up with chest pain for several months. I was attended to immediately by an amazing staff of nurses that immediately ruled out a heart attack. Dr. Fitzgerald was my doctor and he was very good at explaining everything he was going to do to me. After a couple more test the heart hospital couldn't find anything wrong, life threatening. My nurse, Heather? I think that was her name kept me calm through this good but to me bad news, since I STILL have no idea what is wrong with me. Not gonna lie, I was a d**k when they told me that everything was fine because trust me I did not feel fine. Once again my angel Heather(please be the correct name) talked me down told me I wasn't alone and recommended doctor Kahn, who I will be calling to do more in depth tests. Through all my BS she had a smile on here face and seemed genuinely concerned for my well being(which is more then i can say for the ERs in Norman, nothing against them at all just for heart related issues, please please please go to a heart doctor). I felt as if i was their only patient and thats goes a long way with me. I know i was frustrated the i left and i hope the nurses and doctor see this so they know just how much they did for me today. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this Hospital and all of the staff. I have to give a big shout-out to the nursing staff on the second floor pod B, I couldn't have asked for better nurses to care for our mother. Being a nurse myself I fully understand the responsibilities and the role of a nurse and I want to thank each and every nurse that cared for our mother as if she were your own. I would highly recommend the Oklahoma Heart Hospital. Once again thank you to the entire staff from the bottom of my heart and God bless.

I can't say enough good words about this facility and its staff as in the business office personnel, the people who work the ER, the doctors, the nurses!!!, the food service staff, the excellent food provided and delivered to the room by them, the chaplains, and last but in no way the least, the janitorial service staff members who excelled at not only keeping the rooms spotless but always had a kind word to say despite their busy routine at Oklahoma Heart Hospital South. All of these people have proven to me that both compassionate and competent care can be had at a stressful time when a loved one is so very, very ill. The dedicated excellent doctors and nurses saved my husband's life two years past now and have provided nothing but excellent care for him ever since then during his other subsequent hospital stays and appointments. The emotional support for my family has been a steady source of comfort, as well. Thank you to all @ Oklahoma Heart Hospital South!

The worst billing procedures I've EVER seen with a hospital and doctors!!!! Informed my doctor about the double billing and charges for which I never received service and was told to check with the billing office as the doctor had nothing to do with billing. Should've known something was wrong when the dr said that because what are you charging me for if you have nothing to do with billing? I checked with the billing office and was told the bills would be corrected but instead of correcting anything the bills were sent to a collection agency! Come to find out the claims were never even filed by the doctor or hospital! Trying to get all of this cleared up has become a total nightmare! What a crock and for service that was well below standard at best. This place is all about making $$$$ for services they did not conduct. I have since found a great cardiologist and will never go back to this facility!!!! Bedside manner of nurses and doctors are horrible too! I'd give zero stars if that were possible for the treatment and care I've received.

You don't really want to reccomend a heart hospital but if you need the finest doctor . support staff, hospital and meal services-there is no better place to go in Oklahoma. Everyone is pleasant and happy ALL THE TIME. You can tell from the free parking attendant to administration they LOVE their jobs.

Disaster. After 5 months, still hadn't submitted paperwork to process insurance claim. You are truly a number and a $ here. First appointment walked into a room that felt more like a feeding lot. Barely any space to sit down. Overbooked the appointment 4 fold. Somehow I needed 4 separate tests that they scheduled for 4 different days. Not everyone can take off that much time from work. Cancelled all of my following appointments. Then kept getting calls that I had missed new appointments...because they continued to re-schedule me with no notification.

My sister was brought in 3 times & sent home severly dehydrated & unable to hold anything down,pain & sweats,sudden severe weight loss.She is now in another facility being treated for mrsa,& kidney failure etc. I will never return to this facility again!

I had back surgery and had to stay two days and a night. Can I just say that the nurses and the technicians accomplished assisting my needs, they were all very accommodating and generous, and benevolent. I wish I could remember their names, but I must say that the night crew was my favorite. I know when I have my future back surgeries I will try my best to book it here. Of course I can not leave out the food either. I must say that the hospital is very kind to give a complimentary tray to my guest, which happened to be my husband, and a picky eater at that. We both LOVED your food! It was almost shocking that this was a heart hospital. We even spent the extra $5 for the extra tray of food for him before we left. Even the food workers were great and hilarious. I can not say enough about my stay. I hope this shines some light on those fantastic workers at the Oklahoma Heart hospital please don't change, because it made my stay and recovery that much better!

Wife went in to the ER for breathing issues. The doctor never even came into the room to see her. The nurses were more worried about getting off work then treating my wife. Instead the just say she has anxiety and discharged her which she doesn’t have. Now we are at another ER cause she still has breathing issues. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone they are lazy and incompetent of doing the job they are getting paid to do and just push people out the door.

Very unprofessional doctor (used loosely) Rice. After nurse whispered to him the time frame I waited before coming in, he repeated it loudly with sarcasm, so that everyone else could hear. I waited in exam room 8 for over 30 minutes while rice stood at the rotunda gossiping with another staff member and playing on his phone. I had clear vision of him due to room 8 having a direct site line to the rotunda. I was recommended to visit this location by a Co worker who praised them repeatedly, however, I would take my chances with drug dealers on any corner before ever returning to this unprofessional, egotistical poor excuse of a hospital.

This place is amazing. I brought my mother in law to the ER. She was admitted. The care the nurses and Doctors have shown her has been of the greatest professionalism. The appearance of the nurses is very professional and modest. And the food....OMG, it’s outstanding!!! I have been to several hospitals. And this is my favorite by far.

This is by far Oklahoma's primary heart hospital! Best parts? Their nursing staff! Mallory, Dien, Jennifer... best by far...Randy,Courtney, Riley, Meagan, Kamber, everyone from G pod. THESE people more than represent what care and service mean! I never proposed a situation that they were not able to answer or provide. This is a peaceful place and easy to get the healing rest needed.Thanks for taking care of me!

Took my 66 yr old grandmother (by ambulance) here on Sunday Sept 9th for chest pain and heart attack symptoms. She had had heart attacks before so we were highly concerned. They brought her in, weren't very attentive. When asked, the nurse Gave me vague answers and rushed back out. The doctor diagnosed tachycardia and discharged her. Her stay was less than 2 hours. Monday, Sept 10th my grandmother had a heart attack and possibly a stroke. She's at another (better) hospital and is stable. But it really bothers me that this HEART HOSPITAL didn't think to keep her for observation, warn us this was a possibility. Nothing. Just rushed us out. (tachycardia is known for causing heart attacks ESPECIALLY with people who have had them before, but I had to find that out from the other not "heart" specific hospital)

I ended up here at the ER at 2:30 am with significant heart issues. They staff from beginning to end and doctor were perfect and the facility is amazing. Very impressed and satisfied with the ER. Also when I needed records of that for my doctor they were in my hand in minutes by a nice lady. Great place and great people.

I was sent from my home town doctor for an echocardiogram and with in a few hours I was admitted and they ran test for 4 days. The hospital staff was very courteous, knowledgeable and impeccable with their thoroughness. Very pleAsed! I go back the 24th for my aorta valve replacement surgery, I feel confident with my care team! Best in the country!.

Women in ER were rude. Im aware its a heart hospital, but it was the closest er to where i was and i was worried i was experiencing preeclampsia. And they told me i coulda went to walgreens to get my blood pressure checked and advised next time i go to another hospital that has an obgyn. At the end of the day you're an hospital with an ER.

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE NORTH HEART HOSPITAL, NOT SOUTH! My stay was for 3 weeks in OHH. I'd always heard good things and have even had my mom and dad both in this hospital (North OHH) with no complaints. This place has gone down hill BIG TIME! Rooms were dirty. I had to ask to have my floors, bathroom and mobile eating tray on rollers to be sanitized. Wet and dirty bath towels left laying on bathroom floors for days. Trash was emptied on daily basis, that's about it!! So noisey in one room I was in (sending lab/blood work via vaccum tubes in the walls and ceiling---extremely loud thuds, banging and clanging) I asked to be moved to a different room. Nurses and staff were so loud in halls and nurses stations, had to keep the door closed. The majority of nurses were good, but a select few should've been fired years ago for rudeness and lack of bedside compassion and manner. Dr.Bodenhamer was the most crude, rude, sarcastic, narcissistic jerk of a Dr. I've ever encountered in my life!!!!! So rude to me the staff was apologizing for his words and actions. He needs to be turned in to the state medical board. I also heard him in rooms next to me talking to other patients like they were "below him", so it wasn't just myself who was treated with lack of bedside manner and patient respect. I will say his PA was excellent to deal with and also apologized for his rudeness...said that's just his personality?!? He also installed a mitral valve implant during surgery that I was NEVER told about. I never knew about it until I received an implant ID medical card in the mail (after being home) stating the serial and model number of said implant i had no knowledge had even been used to repair my heart valve. I was just told my heart valve was repaired, no details. The other doctors I had while there were excellent and I have no complaints of them or services rendered. IF this hospital is still owned and operated by the doctors who work there? They need to have some serious business meetings and get this hospital and staff back up to the high quality it used to be. Very disappointed and won't be going back unless I HAVE no other choice!!!!

On 11/23/2017, I took my foster son to the ER & what a bad decision. They advertise this hospital as having a full up ER. However, apparently if a child jumps off of his bed and hits his head & you're concerned about a concussion, don't go to this hospital. The nurses were somewhat polite but the doctor (Dr Glen) was an outright jackass. He asked me why did I bring the child to a heart hospital & stated he doesn't have a pediatrician on staff. The male nurse came back in & stated it was nothing wrong with bringing him in, just know in the future if it's not heart related, there's not a lot they can do for him. Smh.

Great place to go for ANY type of ER visit. Got in and out within 1 1/2 hours with a kidney stone. That included blood work, CAT scan, IV fluids, pain relief, etc. Staff, including doctor, was professional but relaxed. Hope I never have to go back but if I do need an ER visit THIS is the place I will go.

These fat front desk ladies need to pickup the pace. Have an appointment scheduled for 9:40 Am and don't get called in until 10:20Am. They tell me I need to have a referral sent over that they never mentioned prior to this before they will take me in. Thank Christ the other place was nice and sent it over. When it was sent over it was sitting in the fax machine for God knows how long. Unprofessional and i wouldn't use this place if I wasn't dying and had another choice. Thank you America. Also the two hogs on the front desk mentioned having a clipboard thrown at them before. I totally understand why. You people are useless.

I can't say enough positive things about this hospital. My mother was transferred to Oklahoma Heart Hospital South and they went above and beyond trying to save her. Even though there was little hope, they worked on her all night, not giving up until we realized all efforts had been exhausted. They could see that I was having a hard time agreeing with my family about turning the ventilator off. At that point, the doctors took their time and went over everything with me. I knew she was already gone and that was the reassurance that I needed to be ok in carrying out her wishes. Living without my mom has been the hardest challenge to date. I can say that I don't question our decision and will always remember the effort the doctors and staff put in to trying to save my mother.

Truly NOT impressed!! Found my family member slumped over a chair (stroke) ask the nurse if they could tell me what was wrong, and they said, "I don't know you tell me!!" Walked back in the room and found my family member's medication on the floor. Family member hadn't eaten and guess what, if you're asleep or sedated they don't order you food or see that you've eaten! You have to order it yourself. I said, "so you mean no one has offered them any food in three days?" They said family member wasn't drinking enough, I said, " where is their cup?" After looking around it was sitting on the tray pushed clear across the room - empty!! WOW Dear family member, don't send me here if I get sick - I'd be better off at home!

The hospital is extremely disorganized. Once you start the process of admittance all the way through your heart procedure you quickly realize they are running people through the system as fast as possible, like cattle through a chute. GO GO GO. It is obviously structured around the $! Poor communication between staff as far as patient care and the procedure to be performed. Lack of concern for patience, doctors don't communicate, PA is very weak support. While being juggled through the chaotic maze, 4 different staff stated a different procedure other than what was scheduled.(3 of the 4 were either the RN, anesthetist or surgery nurse) Scary!! They all act like factory workers doing a systematic function with no introduction, explanation or their function in the process. The absolute worst hospital experience I have ever encountered over nearly 60 years.

I must move them down one star not for quality of care issues, but rather for the fact that when I called them tonight, they flat out refused to provide me any information about how crowded the ER was at that particular moment. Obviously, they have every right to do that. But when I have a family member with a "right on the border of debating whether or not we need to make the trip" situation, a bureaucratic policy about not providing basic information about the status of the hospital is the last thing I need. I'm glad the hospital is doing so well that they don't have to care about customer service, but I'll give St Anthony's a try next time we have a choice.

I had a 11 am appointment. .... it going on 2pm.... still not back in the room yet. Fasting since yesterday. Non of my medicine or othwr require daily medicine taken. I taken my second set of meds in about 6 hours ... i guess i am suppose to double up on them.

Sad when you call to make a payment and give the hospital your insurance information that you have coverage on your son and they cannot take the time of day to understand what HIPA really means. HIPA is if they give your information out. Not me giving the hospital information that I already have in my possession. Jennifer T could only tell me to have my son call about the bill. Sad they are quick to want to turn someone to collections but wonder why they will not accept your payment. I do not care what age if your child on your insurance then you should be able to make payments.
