I went in for pre OP appointment and they didn't have my orders there. Had to wait an hour and a half for them to straighten things out. I called my doc's office, they said they sent it and talked to someone on the phone and that they did what they were supposed to do. When I get frustrated over the situation, they treat me like I am being rude and disrespectful. So, today I get the phone call from a nurse to tell me what time to arrive for my surgery. She was incredibly rude and disrespectful to me when I told her that the pre op nurse said I could have my labs drawn from my IV instead of the lab. She actually said "let's get to the point! What else were you told". I don't think this is the way patients are supposed to be treated. I think I will stick with Integris after surgery.

Took my 10 month old daughter in with over 102.3 fever and was in the waiting area for 2+ hours. Terrible service.

I gave birth to my premature twins here, and my go to for emergencies for myself and my family. The people are always amazing, helpful, patient and extremely caring. They're always quick to help and get me answers. The nurses, doctors, EMT, everyone make this hopsital the best. I've never had a bad experience. Always friendly and very clean. Extremely appreciative for this hopsital and it's amazing team!

We came here on a Tuesday and had an unexpected c section and everything went amazing! All of the nurses and operating crew were so nice and helpful and explained everything they were doing. We didn't have any problems with anyone. Our babies went to the nicu right after and we got to see them as much as possible and got to feed and hold them when we wanted to. This place is completely wonderful!

Every Aspect of our stay at the Norman Healthplex was 10 star! From the moment you walk in the door your treated as if you are their own family and the it is very important that you are taken care now. we never met one person their that was not willing to go out of their way to help us and took time to explain what was going on and why they would be doing this or that " To the Nurses on the 4th floor You are the very best Nurses I have Ever Met! "Thank You so Much for turning a very scary time in my family's life around we all felt like you had this ! and the Dr.'s are just outstanding! thank you all for taking such Great Care of our mother!

I went here 2 separate times within days for severe chest pains thinking I was having a heart attack. BOTH times I got treated like a kid looking for pills, even after explaining it was chest pressure not pain. Finally after begging them to do test they did, said they were fine and to go home. My problem persisted until I started having problems breathing as well. I went back to the ER and was turned away. The doctors here are stupid and they just want the rich people of Brookhaven to pay their bills. DO NOT GO HERE. By the way I went to a chiropractor, Dr child’s, who said I had a rib out of place and fixed my problem INSTANTLY. hey healthplex, thanks for nothing.

Not impressed at all. Nurses and doctors are too vague. Won't give much information and wastes your time. Communication between doctor and patient's parent needs improvement. I'll never come back to this place. They wasted my time and treated me terribly.

My mother was there from 9-20-18 to 9-24-18 and as rough as the event was on her the staff was absolutly hands down the BEST in any hospital we have EVER dealt with. They were so so good to my mom. After our visit to the emergency room I can truly say that Dr. Porter and Dr. Rice both genuinely cared about what we were facing. They both took time to answer all of our questions and acknowledge both my husband and I’s concerns. They showed sincere care and respect for us both. We were incredibly grateful for the positive experience at Norman Regional. They exceeded our hopes and expectations.

Lakeside woman's hospital has nothing on this ER! I went in for an embarrassing out of control female reproductive issue. I was treated by all women staff. They went out of their way to help my nerves and discomfort. I was so relieved to have empathic and understanding attendees.

The building is very confusing and the Nurses are understaffed. Mostly I do not care for the building at all. Cafeteria is pretty good and has a nice view of a man made pond and a couple of pairs of Canadian geese who call it home. During the day there's a nice coffee shop and a gift shop that are open.

Delivered both babies here with great services. Everytime I had to come in to OB triage the nurses were great! I love the educational classes offered with a provided tour of the facility. Very clean and the cafeteria food was really good surprisingly! I had to come to the ER for when I had my miscarriage and for the stomach flu during my pregnancy to receive fluids. The ER staff were empathetic and supportive. In addition to my countless of experiences with OB triage, labor and delivery, surgery with D&C...I’ve had to use their lab for bloodwork and tests, their staff is very nice!

This hospital is a joke. The staff are incredibly rude. Never once saw a doctor. The wait time is very long with no answers. I WOULD NOT recommend anyone to go to this hospital.

Had my best friend Steven Marks in Hospiatl ICU for a week Novemer 3 - 7th 2015. The staff was amazing. I'm Steve I.C.E. person. The nurses explained evetything clearly. If I was neededing a little more explanation or had questions, they would stay and talk to me more about Steve's test and condition. They made me feel comfortable. The nursrs made me laugh and smile. Other hospitals I've been to in OKC are not that friendly. Plus the food is the best tasting ever compaired to other hospitals. I highly recommend Normwn Rgional to anyone looking for best doctors and staff. God bless everyone who works here: Staff, Nurses and Doctors.

Although the ER experience took a long time, I felt like I was being well taken care of the whole time. Every person I dealt with was friendly, courteous, helpful, and understanding. Dr. Mantooth (if I recall her name correctly) was the most approachable and down-to-earth doctor I've ever met. They diagnosed my appendicitis methodically and thoroughly, and sent me swiftly to Norman Regional Hospital for my surgery. I wish I could've stayed at the HealthPlex, because my experience at Norman Regional was pathetic!

We spent 5 weeks here on 5th floor, after a heart valve replacement and everyone was awesome!!! I can't say enough good things about the nursing staff, both day and night!! The doctors were all fantastic too. The food in the cafeteria is very good also!!

The caller parking was the only highlight of our experience. Ridiculous wait times. The Appointment for anangogram at 9. Checked in first desk at 8:50 Sent to a second check in desk at 9:15. On another floor and sat till 10:15. Sent to a preparation room at 10:15. As of 1 pm we are still waiting to go for the actual procedure. After I went to the desk. A nurse or three all drinking mega drinks and mega over weight informed me they get the patient in and then monitor them. My reply was no one has set foot in his ready room in the past two hours and forty five minutes. So where is the monitoring? He’s not hooked to any machine tracking heart and BP. Their next response was they have to do medical background questions. My reply was that was done before I set foot in this room 2 hours and 45 minutes ago. My final words at the desk were: I hope you have to endure such a wait with your aged parents, and see how you like it and how they endure it and how your answers stack up to the answers you have tossed out to me. 4 minutes later they came to get him for his procedure. After the procedure, One doctor said he could go home 2 hours after procedure. Now another person is telling us 4 more hours for a total of almost 5 plus hours. There were zero complations with the procedure before or after. Nothing wrong with a 5 hour wait. However It appears that time itself in this place means nothing to them at all. I wouldn’t take a dog to this place. Walking around making visual observations. For every 5 hard working dedicated employees I see. I see 5 more that are here only for a paycheck standing around or sitting around. This is just my experience and my opinion. Good luck to you.

Was there with my fiancé all night last night for lower abdomen pain on her right side. They did an ultrasound and pelvic exam and told us they were admitting her and that they’d found the blood flow to her ovaries were cut off and that her ovaries were dying or already dead and that’s why she was having the pain and that surgery may be an option today. The next shift came in and the new OBGYN doc came in and pressed on her stomach and said that she didn’t have a high enough pain reaction for it to be what the previous shift had said and this test was done while she was ON PAINKILLERS. I pleaded with them and told them we’d just end up back in the hospital if they didn’t do anything but saw no results about to have to take her to OU medical now because the pain killers have worn off this is the last of many many issues I’ve had with the norman health plex and norman regional hospital I’ll be going to OU from now on hopefully after today I don’t have to do that either. And I assume the doc thought she just wanted painkillers that’s not the case we even requested to not get morphine because I work in law enforcement and I’ve seen what that stuff will do to you.

Took my girlfriend to the ER there due to an abscess that flared up over night and caused her eyes to swell shut, yesterday. Abscess was on her forehead. The desk person and the nurses were all highly rude. The doctor came in and didn't offer to lance the abscess. Didn't ask her how she was doing. Said it didn't need to be lanced said she would give her antibiotics and left. The swelling is worse today and guess what happened today. Pus started oozing out of the abscess that "didn't need to be lanced because nothing was in it." Avoid this hospital if you can.

Thank you Wesley! This EMT trained assistant at Norman HealthPlex Hospital had the best, best side manner I have ever seen in a health professional. The doctors and nurses were wonderful but he just stood out as being one of the most caring and present person during our experience yesterday. He provided my son with a splint and a positive attitude after he had his scooter accident. Thank you so much!

Took my son there 2 days ago for a broken hand. I wouldn't bring my dog back here. Very unprofessional. Are they all first year med students? The next day I took him to norman regional where they took excellent care of him. Healthplrx gave him a Motrin for a broken hand etc! Avoid at all costs. Maybe the next tornado will mow it down and do us all a favor. They couldn't even put a splint on properly. Zero stars if permitted. Read their responses...lies, all lies

The worst ER experience I've ever had. My friend had chest pain, dizziness, her heart rate was unstable, etc. It took them forever to even look at her. She was there for 6 hours. No one came to see if she needed to use the restroom, I had to complain to staff, which appeared to be doing nothing so she could use the bathroom. I'd sooner drive to Oklahoma City than use them again.

Daughter gave birth to my beautiful granddaughter. The hospital staff were great. The hospital was clean. I didn't get to visit the cafeteria but I was told it is huge. I will be sure to check it out should she deliver again there in the future. And finally the reason I have a 5 star... I was so confident in the staff and how they handled it all. I had no worries of the staff not being there. Thank you to all the nurses for seeing that my baby and the new baby were well cared for. It was tough to see her have so many complications but the staff was right on top of it to be sure that it did not get out of control. Great job! I was able to go back to the hotel each night knowing they were both well cared for.

I recenty had a planned surgery at the Healthplex of Norman specifically in the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. I and my Family who came to visit me during my one night stay could NOT have been more impressed. All the staff; doctors, nurses and receptionists that I dealt With prior to and on the day of my surgery and on our way out treated me and my family dignity, kindness, respect and as if we were the only people to care for. I never had to wait for help and even if the alert button was pushed by accident always a nurse would happily come in and check up with a smile and kinds words. It was quiet, clean and peaceful, with exceptional care. I am from Las Vegas, NV but have lived here for 8 years, and my sis came out to be with me for this surgery, and she was in awe of how exceptional and nice everything is (benefits of small town small city life) she said she had never been in such a nice hospital that was so peaceful and clean. The hospitals in Las Vegas are over crowded and employees overworked. Thankful for Healthplex of Norman! You should be proud or your team:) PS. If you gotta be sick that is the place to ‘be’...

I love this place! I have only been twice for giving birth to my beautiful boys and they were awesome!! I loved my nurse for labor, I loved the area I was in for after labor for 48 hours, the women were so sweet, I felt so taken care of and my boys were well taken care of. I recommend this place to any expecting mothers! And the food was awesome, chocolate cake for every meal (:

Worst ER experience ever. They had a patient return after being in a week before, this time for chest pain and resting pulse (between 100 and 130 for over 10 hours!) Started out ok, hooked up ekg, gave morphine drip, bloodwork, said they didnt know exactly what the problem was and wanted to find out. Then randomly another doctor shows up, accuses the patient of being a drug user (which was not true and bloodwork would prove), and literally kick them out into the waiting room, told them they had to leave, amd would give the patient any treatment, results, diagnosis, or or help of any kind, with resting pulse still above 110!

Horrible billing services. My wife delivered twins babies. They charged one baby as in patient and the other one as out patient without noticing or asking us to sign any paperwork.

DO NOT GO HERE! Second time in 3 months someone in my family was misdiagnosed with "acid reflux". First time infection in intestines found after 2nd trip in 2 days. This time the person needs surgery for something they failed to even mention on his ct scan. His primary saw it on there. I guess it's just easier to say it's acid reflux than to really find out what the problem is. Seems pretty incompetent to me. If I got my job wrong that many times, I wouldn't get paid anymore... I'd be fired. Also, if you leave a bad review expect a generic response and maybe they'll offer to "look into it". I used to work at a hospital. They pay a lot for attorneys and never admit to wrongdoing.

My wife gave birth to both our daughters here. One in 2013 and one this last Monday! We are being discharged today, but I will miss the 5 star service this place renders. The nurses are fantastic along with the pediatrician. We strongly recommend Dr. Jimmerson and The Norman Regional Health Plex!!

I have been to the ER here three times with various family members. Each time we were treated brusquely and without sympathy. They make an effort to run at least five expensive tests that you get billed for later, but never tell you which tests they ran, or the results. The first time they put the IV in wrong and my arm went numb, then wouldn't believe me when I mentioned it. The second time they gave me a shot and nicked a bone, which has been hurting for around a month now. I am just glad that I have moved away from this hospital so no one in my family will have to suffer through their ER "hospitality" again.

Stayed here for a few days after surgery for pain control and had surgery another month later. Got treated HORRIBLY both times. First, My nurses told my doctor that I was faking the pain so I didn’t get any meds. They kept trying to put me on suicide watch JUST because I wanted to go home since the pain wasn’t getting better. When waking up out of a D&C surgery, the nurses WOULD NOT let me go to the bathroom and told me that if I really needed to go then I could go in the bed pan/ bucket. These nurses treated me so rudely that they sent me into a panic attack WHILE STILL waking up from surgery! The visits left me with continual nightmares. Don’t go here if you want any peace of mind.

Poor experience at ER. When I arrived with a terrible pain due to skin abscess the receptionist didn't understand my situation and asked the same I told her very loud (so everybody could hear my situation). The health personnel didn't show the professionalism I expected. - people on their cell phones - not explaining the expected process - din't clean me or gave me material to clean myself after procedure - I had to ask for instructions and what to do next - They subscribed me Norco every 4 hour to 6 hrs and I end up that night in another ER because my blood pressure got unstable (too high and too low), and the doctor told me that he would never prescribe Norco every 4 hours due to my condition. Good lesson learnt. This is not the place to go to ER. (I have to admit that I've being to their lab, maternity clinic and other facilities and work pretty well).

Came in with a 11 year old with a possible broken collar bone. There was one person in the ER waiting room and we still waited over an hour... There was obviously not a sense of urgency, which unfortunately is the way the medical field has gone. We went to ST. Anthony East and was in and out with an X-ray in less than an hour... do not waste your time going to this hospital...

Very frustrated with the same day surgery wing. Surgery was set for 2pm and it now 7:40 and my child still is waiting to get this procedure done. He hasn't ate since 8 am and is as frustrated as i am. I will never recommend this facility to a single soul.

I've been to the Healthplex twice for scans. I could be happier with everyone that I encountered. Everyone was very pleasant and good at their jobs. Really make you feel at ease. Jonathan did my heart scan. He is awesome, so friendly and really knows what he is doing. I'd also like to say that the facility is very clean and I've never had a long wait time. The man at the registration desk is also particularly nice. Yes, I recommend the the Healthplex.

All the nurses I had were great! Had to go back a couple days in a row due to my dr office not being open. Dr Mantooth was the first dr I had in the ER and she was amazing! The other two dr I had after her I was not thrilled with. But the young nurse I had the first time was awesome and super kind and was there the other two times I went back and made it a point to come in and check on me!

Went to healthplex the Saturday before thanksgiving after bicycle accident with severe shoulder pain. Doctor ordered X-ray’s of right Clavicle and shoulder. Doctor came to room and diagnosed a clean bill of health and sent me home with pain meds. On the short trip home I could feel bone rubbing bone. I waited until Monday and called to get second opinion from orthopedic doctor. PA working in office looked at NRHP X-ray and said “ It looks like your Clavicle is broke “. They then re-X-ray’d The shoulder. 5 pins, a plate, and surgery later I’m better. Don’t go here unless your on your last resort.

Speaking as family of a Pt, my brother had emergency surgery to repair a broken leg (on a Sunday), everyone was extremely friendly and caring, from Pre-op to his Dr and after care nurses, Brad and the CNA with a long red ponytail and glasses on 3rd floor were so sweet and had so much patience for him while he struggled to get comfortable! I do wish there had been staff in the directory departments and we are from out of state and it was a little hard to find our way around initially, we almost didn’t get to him before he went back to surgery. Thanks to Brad and his CNA for their good care for my brother!

Had a procedure done by Dr. Ollar-Shoemake September 2015. Every hospital staff I came across in the hospital, from the front desk clerk to the doctor was the most friendliest. Made my first hospital experience easy and comfortable. Also, they have a wonderful finance assistant program, which was a big help.

I had a hysterectomy here back in 2014. Nurses were great. My pain management was great. I kept asking for warm blankets to put over the incision and they provided these anytime I asked. Dr. Hinojosa is an excellent physician. My three days here were as comfortable as they could possibly be in a hospital.

I delivered my baby here. The nurses made the experience so much better and made my life a lot easier. But they have one of the highest rates of c sections because they are impatient and expect you to have your child then and there. It's disgusting the way they do that, if a child is ready to come it will come when it's ready. But you are giving me and many other women a hard time to have natural births because you all don't take the time to let us have the baby when they are supposed to come. Stop being impatient and do your jobs correctly. If you don't want to be patient and do your job right, find a different one.

I have been to the emergency room, as well as had an operation, and brief hospital stay at this hospital. I have also had family that have been here for many reasons and we have all had the same great experience. The nurses and other staff are very friendly, professional, and kind. The facility itself is very modern, clean and comfortable. The food they have in the cafeteria for both patients and visitors is actually pretty good! While no one wants to have to be in the hospital this one is a great one. They treat you like you matter and your feelings and concerns are important to them. We would highly recommend them.

I came here recently and although I've had 2 rough experiences with this hospital, I've 2 good ones back to back. .. .over a few years time but still, 2 good experiences with a hospital after bad experiences hopefully means they are taking pride in their work as caregivers and using more time and patience to assess patients. Just keep up the hardwork, it does not go unnoticed.
