I interviewed at Mercy was offered a position from the nursing manager .... i was given a start date then told to wait for HR to call me for all the other information regarding orientation... i put my. Price in at my job as soon as i spoke with the her Jana on making sure I’m waiting so i can be in class to start.... after speaking with her only to be told almost a week later after putting my notice in at my job she changed her mind.... MOST UNPROFESSIONAL, INCONSIDERATE HR EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!!!!! I will make sure i give a bad reference on the management team and hospital as a whole. Just no regard for a persons livelyhood i see why the reviews are terrible far as staffing !!!!!!!!

My mother stayed here after her heart surgery and absolutely loved it. Was way better that a hospital. The food for her was much better than hospital food. She loved her room and the facility. All the staff that she came in contact with was always professional and treated her with respect. Would highly recommend for anyone needing in hospital rehab.

Not a real stroke rehab, they don't know what they are doing. For real stroke rehab you need better nurses that aren't trying to jam medication down people's mouths when they have difficulty swallowing. There were really only two nurses that had a clue, the rest need to quit nursing. If you have a bad stroke there really aren't many options in Oklahoma since most of the staff only care about how much money they can make and have no real concern for the patient. A real stroke rehab would have minimal stimulation rules and give the patient downtime around therapy. Don't bring your family member here unless they are able to fend for themselves.

The phone etiquette I have encountered several times has just been the best (total sarcasm).

I transferred to Mercy Rehab after almost 2 months in hospitals following a car wreck. I had lost a significant amount of muscle mass before the transfer and was worried about my ability to take care of myself at home. I had a team of therapists helping build my muscle mass and coordination. They did a great job of keeping me motivated and progressing for the 2 weeks I was there. The nursing and physician staff was empathetic and always ready to help. By the time I was discharged, I was ready to move forward. I recommend this facility for rehab without reservation.

My 82-year-old mother had 5 been here for two weeks after a car wreck. The staff here is great and have taken excellent care of her. The facility is nice, her room is large and clean, and she gets physical, occupational and speech therapy six days a week. I highly recommend this center.

They took amazing care of my grandfather when he needed rehabilitation. Every time I came in he had a smile on his face and kept bragging about how amazing they were to him. I couldn’t have asked for anything more than that bright smile on his face when he talked about how he was treated and how they were helping him get back to stable condition

My 75 year old mom checked in on a Thursday in September from Baptist Integris. She had had a bilateral stroke and needed rehab for her RIGHT side. Mom also complained of pain in her LEFT leg. Despite the aphasia, we determined that she had fallen 5 days earlier. Mom's foot was very bruised looking all over. Her ankle and shin showed redness associated with infection. On Friday a podiatrist was called and x rays completed. They were negative. Cellulitis was determined to be the issue and loads of antibiotics were pumped into mom. We were told not to become alarmed as her foot was going to look worse before it got better. Mom screamed off and on the entire weekend. She was given heavy sedatives. Sunday night, despite my better judgement, I had to return to my home state. Before I left, the nursing staff advised me that they thought mom should have an ultrasound and I should request one. I advised the nurse to go ahead and have it done. Tuesday I called our patient rep. I discussed paperwork forms and asked for info on the ultrasound. He advised they would have to get back to me. Wednesday afternoon I got a call. Mom was being rushed to the ER. Her foot had little to no pulse and she was going to lose her leg. Keep in mind this is her LEFT leg, the good one. It was not cellulitis, the dark patches on her foot were dying tissue due to a clot in her leg. She did lose her leg, above the knee. She also lost the ability to rehab her right side since she could not support herself without that leg.

The staff and care my mom received after her stroke was great but physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy was lacking at best. If you need good and intense therapy I DO NOT recommend this facility!

Well my husband had to wait three hours for a wheelchair to be discharged and I told them that we did not need a shower chair from Asbury and they were going to return it and said they did. Now I am being sent to collections by Asbury for a shower chair we never received and i have talked to the Case Manger again Kim and was assured it was taken care of and again today I received notification of collections because it was never taken care of

The Mercy Rehab Hospital is one of the best hospitals. The people that work there were very pleasant and from the time I walked in to the time I walked out, each of the workers had a smile on their face and went out of their way to help. The therapists and nurses who took care of my dad were top notch. They were very patient with him. I can't thank you enough

I was at Mercy Rehab in April of 2015. I had been in a car wreck and was suffering from multiple injuries: a broken clavicle, a broken tibia of the right leg, three broken ribs on my left side, and a crushed left hand. I received excellent care from the nurses, and the physical therapists were the absolute best. I would recommend Mercy Rehab to anyone needing rehabilitative services.

My 94 year old Mother spent 5 days here in November. We tried to get her released as soon as we realized they were messing with her medicine and not discussing it with us. There were no leg compressions put on her until the 3rd day that she was there recovering from a mild stroke that left her with only a weak right leg. She was supposed to be put on an antibiotic but they didn’t see the instructions from the Mercy Hospital doctor. We had to keep pushing them to look until they found it. There is not enough room here to go into all the mess ups. When my daughter tried to get them to release her she was told we couldn’t take her out without them releasing her or the insurance wouldn’t pay. They couldn’t release her until oxygen was ordered. We felt like we had broken her out of jail by the time we finally got her out. There were a few hours at most of any type of physical therapy and mostly just had to lay in the bed for five days. When she came here she was still an energetic active 94 yr old. Her brother lived to be 105! When she left here her condition was so much worse! If we would have only taken her home after her 3 day stay at Mercy Hospital and hadn’t listened to their “Stroke Team” I have no doubt she would still be here enjoying her life with us. She died a few short months after her stay here. The damage from taking her off her heart medicine and Lasix was to much for her heart and we could never get her heart doctor Dr Kenneth Wong of over 20 yrs to respond to our calls. Even a home health nurse tried to call for instructions on her medication. This experience has been one of the most frustrating experiences of my life. It did not have to happen like this. Elderly people get treated horribly because there old and will die soon anyway that’s what I have learned. It’s horrible! Beware if you have an elderly loved one and want them to get better do not bring them here.
