If you value yourself in any kind of way do not come here. I was in a horrible car accident, both me and my girlfriend were unconscious. She was unconscious a lot longer than I was but we get to the ER and they did run us both through a cat scan (the only good thing this establishment did) and they determined we didn't have internal bleeding or broken bones which is good. But after that they told both of us neither of us had concussions and we're good to leave. They clearly know nothing about head injury at all. A blow to your head that knocks unconscious is literally by definition a concussion. And they had the nerve to tell us we were fine. 2 months later here I am still with crippling migraines from that concussion I don't have apparently. I went to my actual doctor not even 2 days later and confirmed yes I've got a pretty bad concussion. The staff is incredibly rude, they kept asking me for my car insurance while I was sitting there with my head pounding for a car accident that wasn't my fault. They don't care about you or your well being. They just care about that paycheck. If I could have any place ripped off this planet and sent straight to the sun to be incinerated it would be UC west West Chester. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable.

I had a great experience delivering my second child here. Very attentive staff which made me feel relaxed and supported during my long labor. The only negative I had was uncomfortable hospital bed but that's very common of hospitals. On the positive side was the close by restaurants so plenty of good food selection for recovery.

I love uc Westchester. .

Cafeteria food way over-priced. $5.09 for a slice of pizza and a soft drink

I would not recommend this hospital under any circumstances! I had wrist and elbow surgery and upon being discharged a few hours later was given the lowest strength pain medication. I was given enough for 5 days. I called on the seventh day for a refill in the morning and informed Kelly at Dr.Wigton’s office I was out. I called late afternoon and was informed there was no response from the doctor. So, I’m stuck in pain for the rest of the night. This hospital along with too many of its doctors treat people in pain like addicts! The doctors are no longer doctors or physicians, but corporate health employees. Don’t trust them!

THANKS FOR NOTHING!. Cant swallow very well and can't eat. First I was told they could do whatever was needed while there, so I stayed and will incur a huge bill as usual. After talking with the nurse, she stated there was no doctor there to perform an endoscopy or barium pill test to see why I'm having trouble. Long wait after being seen with no one checking on me. Blood test and xray done, no conclusions. Said I've have to go see a specialist some time next week. THANKS FOR NOTHING!

I have came to the hospital 5 times in a year all with bad experiences and being released too early. The staff almost is always rude and judgmental, the doctors don’t spend more than a minute with you. On my most recent visit I did not even get examined by a doctor even though I complained of sever abdominal pain. I was discharged after two hours and given anti nausea medicine and prescribed arthritis cream to put on my stomach (seriously this is no joke). I finally decided to go to another hospital where I got an ultrasound and found out it was my gall bladder.

West Chester Emergency suks my son was in pain an nobody care after 30 minutes the nurse came over after one hour another nurse came with bad attitude an took samples, he still in pain and didn't give to him any medication

As much as anyone can love a hospital experience, I loved mine and highly recommend West Chester Hospital. Every service was courteously, personably and professionally provided from the Emergency Room through the lab testing. Every staff member-receptionists, nurses, doctor, technicians and gift shop clerks-that attended to me was kind, friendly and caring. The facility is clean throughout, well-lit and full of visible, helpful signage. It is also in a great location, just off I-75, close to fast food and nicer restaurants, shops and stores. Parking is ample and free.

The nurses of the maternity ward were absolutely fantastic!!! They showed a level of skill that doesn't come from a school, but rather from experience and an actual need to help. I had no idea that the situation was so serious until after the fact - the nurses used tactics to fix the problem without us even realizing there was a problem, and monitoring progress every step of the way. Thank you so much!!!!

Kyle Mathews

By far the nicest hospital I have ever been to. The staff in the surgical center are amazing and hilarious.

OUR FIRST VISIT TO UC WEST CHESTER WAS NOT THE BEST PROBABLY WILL NOT RETURN DUE TO NOT HAVING RESPECT FOR PATIENT TIME. SURGERY WAS SCHEDULED FOR 10AM WHICH DID NOT START UNTIL 215PM. NOT TO MENTION THEY CALLED IS BACK AND DID NOT HAVE A BED TO GET COMFORTABLE HAD TO SIT IN A CHAIR. NEVER HAD A EXPERIENCE LIKE THIS BEFORE SO AT THIS POINT I WILL KEEP MY SUGERIES SCHEDULED AT BNORTH.

This is my hospital of choice now. I have had to take my wife (who has Alzheimer's Disease) twice for treatment after a fall. Each time our visit length was unbelievably short, and the staff was competent and wonderfully supportive of my wife. When we had waits for test results, they let us walk in the hallways and sing, which calmed my wife considerably. This hospital has heart!

Anne Holbrook

The ED staff that should have cared for me was substandard. A zero star is not possible on this review. The testing personnel were great and completed tasks one after another quickly and then I laid there for hours waiting for a nurse and doctor. I called for a nurse who would be right back. No show until my son arrived. The Dr. rushed into my room out of breath and told me he was sorry. But had good news—no broken bones or internal bleeding from the car accident. I was told I could go home. No one came for signing me out or in sight so we walked out. I was admitted back into the hospital a few days later with a concussion. Left the ED with nothing. No one at nursing station—I had no idea I should not be driving the rental car or what to do. I reported about the hospital ED in a survey afterwards and was encouraged to contact the head of Patient Care by testing personnel during my hospital stay. The results are similar.

Clean and neat place. But emergency staff were too slow. My wife waited for 3 hours to treatment.

Bill Woods

My son's finger tip was severed and the ER staff took great care of him. Not as fast as we wished but reasonable. Attentive and friendly people on a Saturday night. Unfortunately, we needed to go to UC Hospital for surgery, I wish West Chester would have sent us there sooner but they till care of processing and administered antibiotics and morphine.

Shawna Graham

This place is a joke. I thought Middletown Hospital was bad this place takes the cake. They have no clue what they are doing.

chris runnels

Had an accident, broke my leg- ER Dr. missed my knee injury completely. Scheduled for first inpatient surgery, admitted, then billed as outpatient exceeding coverage allowed by insurance. Over $40,000.00 for 2 days in "outpatient" care, not including dr, meds or any other bills, just the hospital room. My broken leg will be over $100,000.00 in total, Hospital care was poor at best. Came out of surgery with no post op meds or instructions. 1 hr in recovery before my family was told I was ok. Complaints to the hospital administration have been a complete waste of time. You would be better off operating on yourself.

If I could not give a star I would, my husband and I went there for possible active labor and right away I was ushered away from my husband and he and I was both told that we couldn't be together until a full assessment was completed on me. When my husband questioned the hospitals policy stating no other hospital had that type policy, the nurse called security without provocation and I decided to leave "ama" because my husband was not allowed back with me, and the security guard refused to let us leave by blocking the elevator doors so they could not close after a few minutes of arguing with the security guard and the nurse they finally let us leave down the elevator, there were 2 other visitors who were on the floor and was clearly upset with how they were being treated and that was the only way I knew what way my husband went because the nurse herself was trying to keep me from leaving, a few days later at my follow up appointment the doctor condemnded their actions saying families would never be seperated. I called the patient advocate at west Chester hospital and told her about what happened and she said it was never their policy to separate families at anytime and she was not sure why the nurse said and did what she did she was poorly misinformed about the policies and she promised to look into it and call me back this was 4 days ago I never got a call back and I tried to call her back and I got her voicemail and never heard back from her again, my question is what if I would've delivered that night and my husband missed the birth due to that arrogant nurse.

Brenda Herzner

For the last five years I have had to utilize West Chester Hospital for so many reasons from the ER to the diagnoses of a serious health issue. The staff no matter which department or building is so friendly, approachable, and make you feel at ease. Keep doing what you're doing West Chester Hospital!

Jim Stinnett

My wife delivered our baby boy Conor here on 8-21-18. I just wanted to say what an awesome job the whole staff on the 3rd floor have done. We’ve had so many great doctors and nurses. Special shout out to Angela who was our night time nurse on the post partum wing after he was born. She went above and beyond and really helped my wife and I out a ton.

Julie Rose

The nurse practitioner wanted to hook my husband up to an IV to give Tylenol for a possible brain injury. Refused to do the MRI he really needed...all this after a four hour wait! Oh and the room two doors down from us had bed bugs!

Beverly Richards

Thank you so much for taking such great care of Mom !!

Nikki P

I delivered my second child at UC West Chester. I would recommend this hospital for labor and delivery. Dr.Hamel and a group of amazing nurses made my experience wonderful while delivering my son. My recovery was much easier this time around due to the amazing and compassionate staff. Thank you to all the nurses and staff, especially nurse Beth and nurse Melissa! Thank you UC West Chester!

This place is a robbery. Do not go here for your health needs. I had a basic consultation and a urine sample done. No one could tell me how much it would cost. Not billing, not the front desk, not even the doctor himself. If you need financial assistance they only give you a week to file for it - problem is you won't know how much it is until a month later. These idiots charged me nearly $3000 for this. Go literally anywhere else for your health needs. These people only exist to rip you off.

Donnie Myers

Great hospital

Matt Hodnick

7 year wait and convoluted process to get in the door.

I have the Greatest praise for all of the medical staff, particularly the hematology/oncology staff. I have been receiving Chemo Therapy since Nov of 2013 for Pancreatic Cancer. I have a major issue with the communication equpiment. I have called numerous times either to verify scheduling or to contact someone to tell the nurses I would be late due to traffic as I come from Taylor Mill,Ky. to West Chester, Ohio. Nobody answers, it's always the answering system. I called about 20 minutes ago (12/09/2016 about 1:15 PM) I was on hold for 36 minutes. one time, I needed to speak to a nurse or doctor amout a medical concern. when it did say "To speak with the doctor, press 1.". when I pressed 1, it hung up on me. I have done this many times so did my sister every time we got disconnected. We are told to call if we are going to be late but nobody answers. This promlem needs to be adressed and at least have someone live to answer the calls and or direct messages. or at least leave a message to leave messages when someone calls.

Steve Thomas

I've had 4 surgeries here and stents put in during a heart attack. They provide the best care I've ever had, and great care for those in the waiting. I've give 10 stars if I could.

Char young

I went to a walk in clinic yesterday thinking I had strep. Told me they only do walk ins if I don't have insurance. So I paid out of pocket and dr said I had mono and somewhat belittled me for my self diagnosis.. Woke up today feeling worse than ever so went to UC West Chester emergency room. Everyone was so nice to me even though you wouldn't really consider it an emergency (it was strep) Keith did my Iv with zero pain. They had me feeling well enough to go to work same day even though I felt like I was dying when I walked in . I am forever grateful for their kindness and attention plus it only took a bit over an hour to work their magic. I never had a better experience going to see a doctor, they are THE BEST at what they do. I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews, I really don't believe it. I love you guys for fixing me! So glad I went. Worked all day and feeling pretty good.

Amber Davidson

I would not give any stars if I had the choice. Horrible hospital to work for. Patient neglect like you wouldn't believe, especially on the 4th floor. I resigned and had asked for my CPR certification card, and have gotten no response from the clinical coordinator. Avoid this hospital!!!!

David Onuoha

Very nice hospital

I was in the ER and given anti-nausea medication to stop vomiting. They released me when I stabilized, at 2:30 AM. The ER staff told me (three people were in the room) that there was no overnight pharmacy, that I had to wait until morning for more anti-nausea meds. I needed them by 3 AM. I got much sicker and was checked in two days later for four days. I asked for an adjustment to that first bill. The customer service lady said that there were overnight pharmacies, that the ER staff was wrong IF they actually told me that there was not one, that I should have gone home and looked online myself for one. I didn't think it was fair to pay my deductable for two visits since I wouldn't have had to go back if they had taken care of me the first time. But they were unwilling to make a small adjustment of $200-300 even though the total bills were over $16,000.

My son was admitted Friday. Today is Tuesday and still no housekeeping. Currently awaiting biopsy and with his immune system already highly questionable you would think it would be priority. I have politely asked the nurses twice why they havent been in the room and i did hear a nurse on the phone yesterday telling them to come. All that was done was the overflowing trash cans were emptied. No clean sheets, no wiping of anything down, no mopping NOTHING. The nursing staff is great but I have serious issues with housekeeping here ICU step down unit..........very disappointed. I wish i could download the pictures on here. Guess i need to ask an administrator how they would feel if it was their son?

I went with my wife and kids on Feb. 22nd around 9:00 pm to this location because they were involved in an accident and the receptionist closed the door on my face watching me arrive with them in the ambulance the receptionist made me walk to the other side of the hospital to be able to enter the facility. The receptionist was rude also the nurses were very rude they don’t know what is customer service and never showed any care for their patients. I asked the nurses twice to come to the room to adjust the bed. After waiting and waiting no one came I had to figure it out my self. I will not visit this location again they need to improve a lot. I have to say Doctor Francisco Fernandez and the radiology person were very professional and showed care for everyone wish they could show everyone how to treat people. Alex G. Thanks.

Nicole Drury

I have been in and out of many hospitals for my health issues. Every hospital I have been to was always the same. Mean nurses who didnt care about you, and these hospitals were so gross and dirty. Every doctor I've been to gave me a miss diagnoses and couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. I had Dr. Hunter and she figured out within a visit exactly what was going on. I got answers and the staff was super happy and friendly. All the way from the front desk women, doctors, and nurses walking down the hall, nurses that had to take care of me, my own doctor, to the anesthesiologist. And more I could go on and on about how impressed and blessed I am that I went to this hospital. And on top of this amazing staff they have, that place was absolutly hands down the most welcoming and sanitary hospital i have been too! I was recommended to check this hospital out threw a friend, and I will be recommending this location also to everyone I know thats having health issues. Wish I could give them 10 stars, they absolutely deserve it!!!!!

Just need a simple outpatient xray, and registration took over an hour. The ladies working the desks were either new, or not very competent. Have been sitting in an empty waiting room for 20 minutes just hoping that the tech even knows I am here. This is no way to run a healthcare provider. The thought of potentially coming back here for surgery terrifies me.

PIANO ARTIST

My husband went to the eremency room with chest pains, and the lack of treatment was mind blowing. The nurse, pa, and Dr let him sit for 4 hours in pain, until he had a heart attack in the er. The nurse Eddy lied to us, lied on reports, refused to get the Dr for us. IF YOU HAVE CHEST PAINS GO TO CHRIST HOSPITAL...IF YOU WANT MEDICAL ATTENTION!!!!!! Patient Relations was useless.

Bill Rocklin

Excellent, friendly handling of family waiting for loved ones in surgery.

David Denning II

We can’t express into words how grateful we are for the maternity team at West Chester UC. Incredible group of people from top to bottom. We were extremely well cared for, our baby was treated like royalty, we never for one second had any concerns that weren’t met. Special shout out to Tiffany, who really was like a second mom to us while we were there. Kim was incredible throughout the deliver. Dr. Hall is an incredible woman and did fantastic as well. I’ll put it plainly: if you’re having a child, don’t overthink it. Go to this hospital. Incredible job guys, eternal gratitude.

Annette Layer

The nurses were amazing. They helped us quickly and we were able to figure out the problem right away.

Kelly Rice

My inpatient stay was wonderful, from the ER Department, to the wonderful Nurses and Aides! Although, after having a very large bill from my hospital stay and outpatient testing over the last year, I do not care for the "Billing Dept" at all. I make payments for my outpatient procedures every month, and continue to receive calls from the Billing Dept. regarding my "past due account". As a person dealing with cancer, I do not need additional stress. I do not think constant calls regarding my "past due account" when I am making large payments to pay off the bill is very professional at all.

Marjorie Jones

My grandaughter, alexxis deaton, gave birth on April 6th to a little 5lb 2 oz baby boy last week. I can't thank all of the staff enough for the wonderful care she received. We just absolutely loved everyone there. You are all amazing!!! Hope we can come and visit soon. Please pass this on to the 3rd floor staff. They deserve the recognition. Thanks again. Margie jones

Kathy Phipps

The hospital is great but if you're seeing a doctor in the Physicians wing they will charge you extra for seeing them. I've been a patient for years in the Cincinnati area and more recent with the West Chester area. Not all of my Doctors have done this but new doctors I've seen now charge an extra $70 for being under the hospital umbrella. Normally, I pay a $30 Co-pay for a specialist and $15 for a primary. Not anymore! They even have a Midtown location in Pleasant Ridge and still charge you the X-tra $70 bucks! They bill it under "emergency visit" or Hospital room charge.

Carrie Hutchins

Everyone that works in their cancer department and treatment centers have been wonderful.

Ben Williams

I think them giving you an appointment time is their idea of a joke. Receptionist just told two of us "you're next". Forty minutes after appointment and counting. Wonder if the bill will be late ?? Now in exam room and nurse ask me why I'm there? Maybe I'm here to get the results of the tests that the Dr ordered ????

Sam Gibbs

Treated like we were stupid when we went in for what looked and felt like a blood clot. We’re told it could be from shared needles (on an STNA, don’t you think they would do drug testing??) ignored all of our concern and questions about the clot/rash. Was asked what the injury felt like and even though it was described as an INTERNAL irritation/pain, we were sent out with a topical cream and cleared for work the next day. Frustrated and and more confused than before, we went to our family doctor. We were told it DEFINITELY appears to be a clot and to NOT go into work or participate in any strenuous activity. Good thing at least family doctors know what their doing, since our doctor here had no clue.

Blaec Walker

Long waits, rude doctors, rude incompetent nurses.

Xiaoheng Pan

this place is very expensive. had an endoscopy, a morning procedure that took 3 hrs to complete from start to finish. my hospital bill ALONE add up to more then $5K, I dont even know how much my physician bill is... probably another $3k. They charge me 900 dollars just for the usage of the recovery room? How is a normal person EVER be able to afford something as ridiculous as this? a simple endoscopy procedure from an average hospital is suppose to cost around 3k~

Laisha Garloch

We are from out of town. And this hospital was absolutely wonderful. The nurse practitioners as well as a pediatric Doctor Who saw my son was amazing. Everything was great!! Until their was a "code" that came in as we were leaving... the NP told me it would be 5min and I waited exactly 35 min before I asked someone what was going on.. politely I asked could you please tell me what is going on the nurse practitioner told me it would be five minutea. The nurse said we have a code and I said OK I don't know what that means.. and then she said well it's been here for 35 minutes too and it's going to be awhile! VERY RUDE!! The NP was Jenn, and she was extremely rude to me because I asked what was going on and trying to make sure everything was ok...I'm forging a complaint! Thanks to JENN this hospital gets a 1star. Way to go Jenn.

Eric Bailey

Twice now came would rather go to atrium in middle town where I almost lost my arm cause they don't do there job right Miami valley saved it tho this place is home

I'm still currently laying in my hospital bed and wanted to write a review that reflected my thoughts in the moment. Yesterday my husband and I welcomed our first baby into this world. Being a first time mom is very overwhelming and somewhat scary. I was nervous about everything imaginable! The moment I stepped foot on the 3rd floor, my worries vanished. Every single nurse, doctor and staff member I encountered was welcoming, listened to my concerns and treated me as a person, rather than just another patient having a baby. I felt like I had a support team that encouraged me every step of the way. Thanks to their expertise and level of care, I feel content going home tomorrow with our little one. I would like to extend my sincerest thanks to the maternity crew at UC West Chester Hospital .You are all angels and I can't thank you enough for everything you have done for me and my family.

Kenton Stouffer

I want to sincerely thank the ER staff from last evening, i had severe pain, grieving from the loss of a loved one, and was physically and emotionally spent. The ER DR, and staff treated me with the best support and dignity that I have ever witnessed in my life, God Bless you, and Thank you, , You folks set an example for the Profession keep up the excellent work your compassion and concern exceed all others, God Bless each and everyone of you, Sincerely, Kenton Stouffer ,

ER wait is forever... even if you are dying out of pain. Very slow staff

Ryan Campbell

Best hospital I've ever been to. Amazing stay. Awesome total hip replacement.

Amy Morgan

For me, the true test of customer service is not when everything goes according to plan, but when it doesn't. I went in for a procedure that required agonizing 'prep' on the previous day (50+, you know what I'm talking about.) When I arrived, they did not have me on the schedule. I nearly cried. They quickly found a way to fit me in, and the overall experience was as good as something like that can be. The facility was very clean, modern and organized. All of the staff were courteous, professional and caring. All of my experiences with UC Health at the West Chester facilities have been excellent. I don't dread going to the doctor anymore!

Susan Smith

The staff at West Chester Hospital are people with compassion! Cannot say enough about the wonderful care they have given my son! The rooms are beautiful- it feels like you are in a 5 Star hotel. Thank you for the dedication you give to excellence.

John Wagers

Took a $200 deductible from me after loosing a finger in a work injury, Had two Drs collect for walking into a room to introduce themselves.Got sent to UC Cincinnati to be told they didn’t have time to deal with my finger loss,That guy leaves the room and a intern took care of my amputated finger.

This review is for the ER. This is the second time in 18 months I've gone to this ER for the same issue (my family physician sent me there each time). The first time was a typical 5-hour experience, but they helped me by performing a simple procedure. This time, it was an 8+ hour nightmare. It was 2:00 on a weekday, but the ER was crowded. The wheelchairs were all taken (first clue), but my husband helped me to the check-in. I heard the desk guy begging a nurse for rooms for 2 patients with chest pain--one had open heart surgery, the other was on nitro at home. The nurse said 'there are no rooms yet.' We should have gone elsewhere, but I was very sick, weak and in a lot of pain. We sat (there's no place to lie down or recline). It was freezing, the chairs were dirty, the support in them breaking down, one of only two bathrooms was out of order, someone was vomiting into a bag, kids were crying, and some people were wearing masks. After 20 mins I was called back, they took my vitals, said nothing to eat or drink, and sent me back out! An hour later they called me back, took blood and sent me back out again! After 3 hours, my husband approached the desk, told them that everyone who had arrived before us had been taken back plus several others who arrived after us. The desk guy said they 'take people back based upon urgency.' My husband pointed out someone who arrived an hour after us and had gone outside 4 times to smoke and stand around laughing, had already been taken back. The guy said we'd 'have to wait our turn.' Husband calmly said 'But we've been here over 3 hours and my wife is really in pain--when is it our turn?' The guy raised his voice and said, "SIR, DO YOU WANT ME TO CALL SECURITY?" (!) My mild-mannered husband responded, 'All I'm saying is you seem to be taking ambulatory patients through one door and wheelchair patients through another. My wife is really sick--maybe you could put her on the wheelchair list, since she can barely walk' and he walked away. It was very upsetting. About 20 minutes later they took me back. The nurse was nice enough and tried to make me comfortable on the gurney, then set an IV. When Dr. David Thompson finally arrived he seemed aloof and uncaring. He briefly checked me out and didn't seem to listen to what I told him about this being a repeat issue and what they'd done before that helped. He insisted on a CT scan with contrast, again, despite my telling him I'd had one the first time, which was normal. I was too weak to argue. An hour later they took me for the scan. It took 2 hours to get the results--negative. The nurse said they'd need a urine sample--really? I hadn't had any fluids for 8 hours and was already dehydrated because of my illness! He was stunned to see they hadn't hooked any fluids up to my IV, despite telling them I was dehydrated. I managed a very small sample. More waiting. The doctor came back and said he wasn't going to do the procedure they had done before (which had helped immediately), but instead send me home with a prescription med that would get the same result EVENTUALLY. I told him I couldn't keep anything down, but to no avail. I think it was too inconvenient to do the procedure--much easier to send me packing with a prescription. So 8 1/2 hours of hell, then 3 more days waiting for the prescription to work (took that long to keep enough medication down). I followed up with my doctor who seemed stunned that I was not prescribed an antibiotic for the infection that showed up in the blood test & CT scan, and that they hadn't addressed the dehydration that the urine test indicated. I got a $6,000 bill for the ER, the useless CT scan, and the physician's bill. As I was taken to a room, my husband had asked the woman why the place was so packed. She said it was always that way lately--they were supposed to build an entire new wing for the ER, but it never happened. She thought is was because of money. I don't know if that's accurate, but I know we will never go to UC West Chester ER again!

This is the most pathetic excuse for a hospital I've ever witnessed. Nurses are rude and have no bed side manners. You can hear them treating an OD patient respect and courtesy along with understanding. But you get ordered by a doctor to go there right away. They lie and say they couldn't get ahold of said doctor, they called a doctor I have never seen or heard of. He has no clue what my history is with ulcers being bad and excruciating. They left me crying in a room for 4 hours and did nothing, came in talked to me like a dog and off they sent me. You should all be ashamed of yourselves. Twice already they claimed nothing was wrong and I was there for drugs, yet I had two major surgies after from a doctor that actually cared and listened. I suffered for 3 years and these morons pegged me as a frequent for pain meds, guess what. My bladder uterus and intestines was riddled with endometriosis. What a joke of a hospital, with disrespectful staff.

Heaven Needham

My Grandmother, Kathy Hall, was dying and as they tried to set up the Dialysis machine the nurses were laughing and one said "I'm having so much fun!" My Grandmother died about an hour later.

Tricia Hackworth

I went to the ER on 4th of July weekend. I had some issues that had been bothering me all week and I finally tapped out and couldn't take it anymore. I was I. The waiting room for maybe 15-30 minutes. I was taken right back to talk to the nurses and seen a Dr within an hour maybe two. Had X ray and imaging done and the surgeon called within a couple of hours. I did have to wait a long time before getting admitted after that. I heard the staff saying that was the busiest night they can remember there. They kept me comfortable while I was waiting. The surgeon even came in and talked to me at 3 am as soon as she could to give me some info on what was going to happen. Every single person there was so kind and helpful. If I ever need emergency treatment again for myself or anyone in my family I will not hesitate to go back.

Trisha Arcuragi

They are horrible can for a infection on my arm gave me a tetanus shot and sent me on my way but wait the dr also didnt put in an order for the tetanus. Dr. Fermann is a joke

Janice Mitchell

They are way better than the UC downtown

Demigod TV

Worse hospital to go to. My IV was put in wrong, I was in extreme pain, yet they didn’t do a single thing. The staff is inconsiderate, the care is way below average, I would rather go to a meth head in an alley way than to go to this hospital. AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS.

Branden Wallen

Went to the north building suite 1800 for an MRI appointment, the staff was very friendly there and was very tentative to my needs.the receptionist Angie was the nicest staff I've ever met at a hospital, thank you!

The absolute best place for my son and his extensive issues. The staff is kind and caring, RN's are top notch and are always on top of things , the physicians are wonderful and even transport is amazing. We would not go anywhere else. Truly a top notch facility!

Jeanna Marie

Love this hospital. From Mercy to Ft Hamilton to Bethesda.. all my hospital experiences are usually pretty horrid. West Chester however always make an unpleasant time better. They get me back super fast and their staff is super friendly. Haven't even been treated for anything yet and they're already making me feel better. Thank you guys for everything.

Montina Silas

Very good experience at this place. Nice friendly staff. I had two surgeries here and was pleased with both of them.

Eugene Lloyd

Clean place nice facilities.

Unfortunately, I have to say, that I have visited this emergency room a couple of times now. One of them was for some chest pains which turned out to be absolutely nothing. The other was because I have a very aggressive couch that somehow shattered my toe and some foot bones. Both experiences were very positive, as positive as those kind of experiences go. Good stuff. Very nice and professional. On both occasions, I registered at the front desk and got into a bed rather quickly. I did notice on both occasions though, that there would be long intervals of having to wait to speak with a doctor. Also, in both cases, it was because things had gotten busy after my arrival. Thankfully, my issues were issues that were able to be classified as low priority. In the big picture, that's a good thing. But, when you're a little anxious and don't want to be in the emergency room, you would love nothing more than to be on your way and free up the bed for somebody who really needs it. Would I go back? I honestly sure as in hell hope not. At least not anytime soon. A little pricey, for my taste, but I wouldn't let that keep you from going. I would not likely make it a regular recreational visit kind of place. Let's be honest. You are usually not going just to "do something different" for the evening. But, if you live in this general area, and you need to hit an ER, this would be a fine place to go.

My father suffered a massive stroke on July 6. The Drs , nurses and case managers were the best care he has EVER had.

Mary Jo Hoffman

I would leave a minus 5 if I could. Over 3 HOURS in the ER - STILL in the waiting room.....#WCHOSPITALSUCKS

Kelli Smith

I had the best experience with delivering my son September 6th 2018. Every nurse was amazing, Doctor Buckreus did a amazing job with my C-section. Nurse Beth and Corrie was amazing, I wish I could personally thank them. I recommend highly

Rita Noel

Very satisfied with this hospital. The staff and physicians are all excellent. It's easy to get around in, too. Everything is state of the art. I highly recommend!

Matthew Weaver

Some of the reviews here are kind of hilarious. Our son was delivered and we've had other procedures completed here. All experiences have been average to simply exceptional. I guess if you don't walk in the door expecting brain surgery that day with no appointment, things go well for you at this hospital.

Kevin kevin

I have had a very positive experience with UC West Chester. Everyone you come into contact with is caring and always offers their assistance. Having a 5 day stay can take a toll on you but everyone from the medical staff, nursing, food service, housekeeping and all support staff do a great job in making you as comfortable as possible.

Courtney Carter

TERRIBLE! Receptionist, answering services are of no help. I work for a doctor's office and obtaining medical records is impossible because not only do you get transferred to multiple wrong people they never answer! OH and regardless if you put STAT, you wont see any records for hours, well unless you call and go through loops, and that's if you can reach them. I had to have my doctor that I work for call and put some fire under them just to obtain simple request... absolutely terrible

Terry Terry

Incompetent ER team. Went in with chest pain, concerned about a heart attack, was diagnosed with acid reflux and sent home. Two month later, similar syndromes - finally at a Dr. that knew what he was doing. Gal stones as large as chicken eggs and a gal bladder about to burst. That was what was causing the pain all along. I would not recommend this ER. Their utterly pathetic billing department is another story - you get bills about a year later, multiple bills from the UC DOCTORS and some more from the UC HOSPITAL.... yeah, you will lose oversight and overpay them. Stone age technology and a completely incompetent billing/coding team. Family physicians that report you were treated for a mental illness and so on. STAY AWAY FROM THIS INCOMPETENT ORGANIZATION!!!

Sarah Morris

You will spend more time giving your insurance information than you will being listened to and (mis)diagnosed. I will drive to any other hospital despite being a few miles from this one.

neville hotrod gamer

Very professional I'll come back again

Dominic Dalonzo

I was seen promptly and professiknally. The staff was very nice and the room was warm.

Damien X

Guy with chest pain, sweating, gasping, red, holding bag of heart medication was left sitting in waiting room over a half hour while receptionist played on her phone. He was asking other patients to call 911 and tell them he couldn't breathe. Won't let your support person back with you. Waited over four hours in ER and when asked for complaint form and patient advocate was kicked out by security without treatment or being seen and told not to come back.

Melissa Clark

I just had the 4th personal friend misdiagnosed and sent home from this hospital. They all had something dangerous or life threatening I will NEVER go there or let any of my family members go there.

kendall russell

We checked into the ER at 1pm , and it’s now currently going on 4pm and we have yet to even been seen.

Tony Jones

Went in to thw ER in excruciating pain with a kidney stone back in Dec. which I have a history of. I have been treated at West Chester hospital numerous times. They have done numerous cat scans in the past and confirmed that I was passing a kidney stone and had always treated my pain. I sat back there this time hurting. They come in and gave me Toradol in my IV, which has never done anything for me. I am there, hurting for another hour and I tell them I am still hurting. A nurse comes in to discharge me. And I told her I was still hurting as bad as when I came in. I told her I wanted to see the doctor. He comes in and I tell him they have done nothing to help with my pain. He proceeds to tell me that I didn't have enough blood in my urine to get a narcotic IV pain med. I told him that he should know I have chronic kidney stones. I had been there for several over the past few years that were seen on a cat scan. He refused to do a cat scan because I had one done about 5 months prior with another kidney stone. Which showed up to be a 5mm stone. They released me hurting as bad as I did when I came in. I stopped and got a fifth of Jack Daniels and drank on it to somewhat dull the pain. The next night I start hurting again. I go to Christ Hospital. They give me pain meds and send me back for a cat scan, that showed I was passing a 4mm kidney stone. West Chester hospital has went to the dogs and they want to treat people like junkies when that person is having a legitimate pain problem. I'll never go back to them.

Gary Hanson

Went to a scheduled procedure. Took my daughter. Showed up and discovered it was cancelled by the hospital. It was rescheduled for the next day, cancelled, and then scheduled for a week away. All this with no notification. Because I did not know it was cancelled, we went and was told, "Sorry, there is nothing we can do. Please contact your doctor." We turned around and went home. This hospital is a shaky. The question is, "If they operate with this efficiency at the front end, what is the care like?"

Kimmy D

I suffered a shoulder and neck injury at Westchester hospital from a nurse name Ha' pressuring me to stay on the treadmill after i told her that i am diabetic and that my glucose was low and that i felt light headed, nurse Ha' insisted that i could finish the test that i only had a little more to go so i trusted her word due to her being a medical professional and i ended up passing out and now i suffer with constant pain every day

Keith Taylor

I work for Compass and UC hired them to take care of their cleaning around the hospital. I have worked in healthcare for 14 years, and this has been the best experience I have ever had. The staff here are really nice and respectful.

Jess Jacobs

best around. docs that don't act like your a drug addict when you legit hurt yourself and may need a pain pill or two.

John Lybarger

Entered the Emergency Department on my knees in the lobby with horrific chest pain. Told the nurse I had had previous heart stents and bypass surgery two years ago. He got me into a room and while the nurses were setting up my IV's the doctor walked by and from the hallway, waved at me and said, I'm Dr. Walls and I will be taking care of you. That was at 6:17 pm and the next time I saw him was 9:15 pm. After excruciating pain and many blood tests, finally the nurse asked me what the doctor had said. I said the doctor has still not come into my room! She shook her head and went and got him. I asked him if I had had a heart attack and he said no, I think it must be something else. With that amount of pain, I was in disbelief but he was the doctor. He said they would keep me overnight and do more tests in the morning and he would call my cardiologist that night. That night they served me meatloaf, mashed potatoes and so on so I am thinking I was fine. The nurse the next morning asked me what my cardiologist said. I said I haven't heard from him but the ER doctor was calling him last night. She said, I'll call him right now! "A staff nurse" on the floor knew I had a heart attack, actually two of them in the ER. Within 15 minutes my cardiologist was in my room with his PA telling me I had had the heart attacks and they had called an ICU Ambulance to immediately transport me to Christ Hospital Cath Lab for an Angiogram. At Christ they wheeled me right into the Cath Lab where they were waiting for me. They placed two more stents in my heart where they found 90% blockage. Bottom line is the ER doctor at West Chester Hospital did not diagnose the heart attack and really could not have cared less that I was there, in severe pain and with a history of heart problems. Absolutely ridiculous!! West Chester Hospital has a huge sign on I-75 claiming they have a "5 Star rating treating Heart Attacks"! Apparently they have rated themselves as 5 Star implies a perfect rating and clearly my experience and opinion rates them 1 Star only because that is as low as is available. I, nor my family will never return there for any care whatsoever. I have never received a survey to comment or rate my care which is not a surprise. I have met with the COO, Chief of Staff and Patient Advocate at West Chester Hospital however they would only defend their high level of care and not discuss the specifics of my case.

Sophie Dowrey

I came here with chest pains and they had me wait for 45 minutes in the waiting room. When in the ER, they gave me fluids and a CT scan to tell me that they had no idea what was wrong. These people truly have no idea what they are doing. Still paying off the countless bills unaware of the actual cause.

Kendra Murphy

While I love my specialist at West Chester Hospital after the care or should I say lack of care that I never received from the West Chester ED I will be finding a new place to receive my healthcare. I came to the ED this evening because I was having a severe asthma attack. I came to check in and explained that I was having an attack, I was asked a couple of questions and then told to wait in the waiting area to be called back. Although I was having trouble breathing I guess that didn't matter. I sat in the waiting area for 25 minutes having an attack before I left without being seen. As I was leaving I did ask the front desk if they had an asthma protocol and her response was, the nurse was doing an EKG and is finishing up. So I guess there was only 1 nurse working at 6pm and nobody was working in respiratory, but hey I haven't worked in a hospital in 10 years so things may have changed. Needless to say I am very disappointed in how I was treated and did expressed my concern to my treating physician. I would not recommend this ED to anyone.

Ana Alvarez

I've done their weight loss program there and loved the professionalism and decided to there for OBGYN and there were extremely nice and professional too, the building was great seems new and clean. Now moving to a dermatologist there also, overall very happy with them.

markiesha smith

Terrible ED team. Doctors and Nurses lack basic customer service skills. The receptionist should be fired!!! After throwing my mom around like a ragdoll. I'm pretty sure he's not even supposed to touch patients let alone handle them roughly.

Arrowhead Reptile Rescue

Asked for a complaint form and for the patient advocate, was kicked out by security and told not to come back without treatment and without being seen.

Robert Ryhal

Great care and staff....

Butch Frazee

I'm a resident at Arlington Point in Middletown I told them if I get sick and call MFD they only go to Atrium I told them I only want to be taken to West Chester . I'm a Retired Jewish Hospital Employee and I know the staff there.

Carrie Farnsworth

Go here if you want a doctor who will judge you blankly and not allow you to provide information about the reason you are there. You have no say in your health and are treated as a fool because you lack a medical degree. You are not a person at UC West Chester. You are a stat on a chart.

tiffany queen

Nurses were nice but took over 2 and half hours to wait on a dr to write a prescription for me that a PA already had told me what was wrong with me and what he was going to do for me Obviously if they're that busy they need to hire someone more doctors.

David Gerard

Can’t say enough great things about the maternity ward here!! Great staff and facilities!! My wife just delivered our first child here and everyone has been phenomenal!!!

Austin Ma

Got hit by a car on my bike and was treated incredibly well. Though the standard hospital late-night waiting for my X-ray results to come back were long, the care and people connection a patient makes there is amazing.

nichole scheer

Great staff and hospital in general. I usually go to Atrium since I live in Middletown. UC WC is much better. They actually tried to fix whats wrong.

Sherry Feltson

I was recently a patient at this location and I would like to extend my sincere appreciation for the staff who took care of me. My Journey started on the morning of 5/23 in the same day surgical unit in which I encountered two wonderful nurses, Kim and Shelly were amazing and they both helped to ease my anxiety before my surgery. Next, I was admitted to the 4th floor and there I encountered a great team as well. Kat, Michelle and Nicole were my nurses and all three went above and beyond to make sure that my needs were taken care of. I also met Jennifer, Sonya, Sabrina and Sabine, all four of these ladies were amazing. I really appreciate everyone and the time that was taken to ensure that I had what I needed while inpatient at your facility!!!! The rooms were very clean and beautiful. I was also impressed with the cleanliness of the surgical center. Thank you so much!!!!

Huy Ngo

Bad expirence, bad nurses!!!!

MsJessica Pressler

I had weight loss surgery at UC West Chester, and my experience was great! I've never been treated so well by almost everyone at a hospital. They were patient with me, and no matter what I needed, they helped me in so many ways. I live closer to Ft. Hamilton, but I willingly drive the extra miles to get better care from UC.

Megan Schmale

Excellent service and bedside manner. No one likes being sick. And this staff did a great job to get me to feeling better.

Theresa Edelman

AVOID AT ALL COST IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE, because they don't. The bright spot was I could've been in and out in 15 min, but decided to wait for a dose of medicine before I left because I was feeling so bad. From parking car to leaving in car, 1 hr. No tests done, no review of meds, nothing.

Lisa Rogers

I am now going to a lot of UC WC doctors and dread ever going to the WC Hospital again though quite awhile ago I went to their ER was beyound extremely ill and yes this made me a bit anxious the ER Dr blew it off quick as I had some chronic illnesses which I NEVER went to ER for he said "we don't treat chromic illnesses" very mean and DC'd me. what I had I would later learn was Renal Cell Kidney cancer. If he would have at least run tests and tried he might have prevented more suffering and it accidently being found with a simple kidney US for my BP I told him my symptoms which indicated an abdominal or kidney US. I am a retired critical care RN I knew I had systematic symptoms I was totally swollen from face down and pain in kidney area and more how does an ER Dr blow that off. I only wrote this because looking for an Urgent Care to avoid that hospital ER or any other.

Khaula Sawah Gmail

Although my 2-star rating will have an effect on the hospital, it does not reflect my experience with the services provided by the hospital or with the nursing staff, many of whom were outstanding. However, my rating is concerning my experience with one of the hospitalists (L.C.). There were two other physicians in his group who provided excellent care. He, however, had an unpleasant attitude such that it made it difficult to approach him and communicate with him. There was no additional value that he added to the services provided. I would not want to have him serve as my doctor or my family’s or loved ones’.

Lois Tindle

Had a great experience. All nurses and pca's were wonderful. I ended up having to have a hip surgery and it went great.!!

Ashley Johnson

I've been here 3 times in 2 years and each time they were amazing. The first time, I had a kidney stone and was in an excruciating amount of pain. I walked in the door and they took one look at me, took me back immediately and eased the pain with medication. They kept me there until I passed the stone. They were so helpful and kind throughout the entire experience. The second time was for a stomach virus that prevented me from keeping anything down, even water. I threw up on the nurse twice while in the room, but she and the doctor stayed with me and kept me calm until it was under control. It wasn't pretty. The last time was for ocular migraines. Again, they were wonderful. This truly is the best best hospital in the area.

Cassandra Bingham

I normally always go to west Chester I'm 25 with half a pancreas as well as part of my liver spleen and colen missing I am having a horrible pancreas pain so I headed to west Chester everything was fine and great until I asked to go smoke the lady tried to grab me not once but twice I told her not to touch me she then said u can't smoke without ur IV out so I said fine I'll take it out so when I went to smoke she discharged me and told them I said I was leaving which I told her multiple times I was coming right back in I don't feel good and just really needed a cig. The officer on scene is doing his own investigation on this as well said she shouldn't have treated me that way and also explained to me u can't even smoke there I wouldn't have even went to smoke if she would have just said that. She caused a huge ordeal and discharged a patience with pancreatitis for no reason without permission from the patient nor any signatures then they told me I could check back in if I wanted to why would I after being treated with such disrespect so I went to another hospital which treated me wonderful and told me there is no smoking on the property at all when I asked to go smoke so guess what I didn't go smoke.

lori merry

The doctors that I have dealt with have been exceptionally great. The staff overall were caring and understanding of this patient needs.

Diver Damien

horribly rude, inconsiderate, uncaring, insensitive, and downright nasty people. I wouldn't trust them with my sick dog. Saw a guy suffering with chest pain, sweating, coughing profusely, gasping for air, holding a bad of heart medication, sitting in the waiting room over a half hour. He asked us to call 911 if he was sitting there any longer and tell them he can't breathe.

John Shoemaker

Came in yesterday morning barely able to walk, scared out of my mind. The care and overall bedside manner from the staff was nothing short of fantastic and very much appreciated. 5 stars isn't enough. Thank you all so much!

barbara bartholomew

My husband has been inpatient several times and they couldn't be more attentive

Nancy Staley

I’ve spent days with a very ill friend on the regular floor, step down unit and ICU. Nitrates are the detriment of this hospital. Harsh, won’t listen, withhold meds that are prescribed, leave the door wide open when showering, nasty to family fighting for the patients rights! Don’t go here, or have a bulldog with you 24/7 to fight. Awful

Shannon Harlow

Rude, Rude, Rude I have had so many experiences with employees there that are so rude. Constantly interrupted on the phone, I got an infection from a tattoo and the front desk lady gave me a mean look and said "thats exactly why you shouldnt get tattoos" I could go on and one

Donald Garrett

My mother got into a accident and upon me getting here to the er i nocticed commotion outside the er. A guy was mad clearly about something to the point where the police had to help him get it together. I was talking to my mother and mad a comment that "i thought West Chester was a good neighborhood." Then a nurse looks at me in a rude way and said you need to go sit down in your room. Maybe because im black in West Chester but i didnt deserve that. Smh glad i live in KY Saint Elizabeth treats me good all the time.

Erica West

The staff was nice, but very disappointed.. went to this hospital twice with the same symptoms and they chalked it up to anxiety, and non cardiac chest pains, when in fact, after seeing my cardiologist, I have a heart condition that I have to take meds for twice a day.

Code Yoda

They assume everyone is painkiller searching. Have a fracture or torn ligament? All they will prescribe is naproxem and tramadol. Says this is the standard treatment when government websites says nsaids and narcotics. They won't properly treat patients anymore because of risk of being fined for to many prescriptions.

Dena Ward

My husband had a 5 hour surgery. In recovery, he was there for an hour an half and seen the nurse twice. He was wide awake after 20 min. Pain block not working, asking for pain medicine, sent him upstairs with an "8" on the pain scale. Finally after he couldn't find her forever, he then asked what's the next step, can I see my wife. She responded that no visitors are aloud. I didn't see him or get a correct update in the waiting area. Finally at his room, 4th floor, the nurses we're non empathetic as to trying to get his pain under control that they failed to do in post op. They didn't page the Dr for orders for IV break thru pain, so I took care of it. They we're consistently late on pain meds to keep the pain under control and rude, besides the night nurse. The nurse was mad she had to put an IV in, then left the needle in his chair he was sitting in. Never bringing ice water unless asked, then ice, but no water. I ended up calling for supplies to brush his teeth and clean him up because that wasn't offered the following day. Upon leaving we asked where the crutches are that PT made him use and to make sure he can use them properly to get into the house. The nurse says there the hospitals not yours. We'll have to order some and I don't know where they come from. I said so everyone shares these crutches. Unsanitary. I asked how to get them, he has been discharged and I want to make sure his scripts are filled ready for his next dose. She sighed and said ugh, why are you being so difficult? This is after I had to put my husband in the wheelchair they just dropped off in his room to get discharged, no one came. I wheeled him out, had him wait in the lobby, case manager grabbed some crutches from the closet. I then brought the car around then put him in the car by myself 7 months pregnant with no assistance. Worse nursing I have ever seen. Especially when the only job was to give pain medicine on time.

We live close and my husband and I will never go to this Emergency Room again. We will take the squad directly past there. It is a joke! Please go somewhere where staff care and will do their job to take care of your loved one and get you an appropriate diagnosis.

Denise Kelly

My husband was taken via EMT's in our township in December 2015 to this hospital contrary to our wishes. I was at work and they insisted taking him here. We had a bad experience several years ago with various departments and did not want to go back. Well, guess what? The bill contained services that were NOT given to him. It has been a four month nightmare. We finally were able to have some of the bill reduced. Please pay attention to what services they are providing and carefully read your bill when you receive it.

Jennifer Ireton

Staff are very rude. Leave sick people laying on floor in emergency room waiting area in obvious distress. Parked in waiting room four hours to be seen and holding, won't let support person in back with me, ask for patient advocate number and get hospital security guards called on you, have to sit here and listen to patients practically dying in waiting room. This has to be the worst hospital in Cincinnati.

Jon Davis

The staff has no control of hospital... People go where ever they want, including coming into your room.. had 4 individuals (not staff) come into my room at different times. While I was laying on a table for surgery on a cyst on my tailbone. The doctors were rude and just seemed to busy to worry about my problems.. felt like I was just an inconvenience to them... Even though it is their JOB !

Trisha Guerra

Just took my mom in the er due to extreme hip pain and the whole staff was very accommodating and truly cares about the patient. The best service by any hospital I've ever been to. Thank you for taking such great care of my mom.

Margie Peeno

Surgery went well. Greg is in recovery. Hopefully we will be home before midnight.

Marianne Ashton

I spent nearly a year of my life travelling to not only the hospital but to practically every ancillary building surrounding the hospital for my chemo, radiation, out patient surgery center, emergency room, surgery at the man hospital.. I am so impressed with the efficiency , professionalism and courtesy afforded by ALL the staff. Not only the medical professionals, but EVERYONE from the ladies at the front desk, to the gift shop, to admitting and clerical positons. EVERYONE goes out of their way to be supportive, helpful and efficient. I really can't say enough. Now, since my healthcare coverage was terminated , I am just hoping to find a plan that includes UC Health and West Chester Hospital in a plan I can afford.

Ryan Braughler

I recently (Oct 12-13, 2018) visited this hospital due to what I later found out was severe appendicitis. I was blown away by the immediate kindness I received — I was treated like a person in need, not "just another patient." When I arrived here, my pain level was at a 9/10 (10/10 being the worst pain I could imagine), and within 10 minutes or so of checking in, I was already receiving treatment. Every doctor, nurse, surgeon, etc. that I interacted with at the UC Health West Chester Hospital treated me like family, making sure to thoroughly explain everything related to my condition and treatment to both myself and my father, who was accompanying me. I was checked on by nurses religiously after my surgery (appendectomy) every single hour, and each time they made sure that I was comfortable, that my pain was at a manageable level, and that I had everything I needed/wanted. Overall, my family and I are beyond impressed with the professionalism, kindness, and care that I received during my visit to the UC Health West Chester Hospital. We would absolutely recommend this location to others, and if we ever are in the area again and need to visit a hospital, we will likely choose this one. Thank you to everyone at UC Health West Chester Hospital!

Jae Lynne

I can't say enough positive things about this hospital. First of all, it's my favorite location in Cincinnati - easy to get there by highway or by back roads. It's centered right in the middle of restaurants from fast food, chain, nice sit down restaurants - which is nice if a loved one is there for 2 weeks solid like we experience in our family. All the rooms are private! We've visited friends who were here before, but when my husband was there for 15 days, it was so helpful having the private room with nice chairs and a couch that makes into sort of a bed. Time sort of stops in these situations, so when I found myself heading home late every night, I could easily stop at Target or Kroger to grab a few things, The staff is amazing! Again, you get what you get in these circumstances, but every nurse was friendly and personable, and this is a bit unusual! No offense to nurses, but it comes from the top down when they are over worked and under appreciated. I think they treat their people well. For surgery, the waiting room was very nice. They have a great system of communication and the staff again, is so nice! We were so fortunate because in my husband's situation, we landed perhaps the BEST doctor and surgeon we could have ever hoped for in the Colon/Rectal Division, Dr. Martha Ferguson. She likely saved my husband's life! Before this hospital stay, we had two separate experiences with their ER - most times, you are looking at hours in a waiting room, and you just dread the unknown. They have several private rooms so both times, they immediately took us back to a room with a bed, and all the paperwork and admission stuff was taken care of privately with your sick loved one in a bed instead of hovered over in pain in front of strangers. Parking is free, and if you have the unfortunate experience of needing a hospital, this would always be my first choice!

Destiny Vickers

My mother had went into the emergency room a few days ago, and her nurse was horrible. She didn't want to help her empty her colostomy, after she took a half an hour to bring something for her to empty it with. Then my mom was in pain and asked for some Tylenol and she didn't order her Tylenol and after 3 hours of still not receiving it we just said nevermind. She also had to hook my mom up to fluid and she didn't flush her iv before or after hooking it up. My mother's doctor had came in and told her she was ready to go she just had to be discharged. My mother had gotten there at 6 am and her dr told her she could leave at 12:30 pm. Her nurse wasn't wanting to come into the room , and then she had left when her shift was over. A different nurse finally came in at 4 and discharged her. That nurse was horrible.

Renee Nelson

I walked in to an empty waiting room, they took me back to a room immediately. My vitals were taken within a few minutes. A phlebotomist was in to draw blood right away. Then soon after I was taken for an x-ray. My wait for a CT was a longer wait because they had a medical emergency that came in. Everyone was very friendly, Jennifer did my x-ray, Angela was my nurse, Dr. Kyle Walsh was my doctor, he was very through, everything I mentioned as a concern, he checked. I highly recommend West Chester Hospital. Thank you Dr. Walsh and your care team.

Stephanie Vick

I came to this hospital wit my fiance because he has been experiencing bad chest pains, getting sick etc etc. So we go to check in an the lady got his name wrong plus birthday wrong. But we got into a room super fast. We checked n around 1:45pm, they drew blood. Now it's 415pm an haven't even seen a doctor. They lefted all the samples jus sitting in front of us an said the doctor will be in to collect those well 2 freaking hrs past an no darn doctor!!! One nurse jus came In to let us kno there is a sicker patient then u so that's why it's taking so long..... DONT EVER GO TO THIS HOSPITAL. We r still here....

Pam Spellman

Had emergency surgery for a dislocated shoulder. Excellent care from the emergency room to dismissal.

Vickie Alfred

Came in with the worst flu possible...Was treated like royalty...Love West Chester U C and their wonderful staff of doctors and nurses and technicians.

Tina Dapice

All the doctors and nurses are so very nice and helpful. Very nice hospital. Only hospital me and my husband will go to.

Mike Pateras

Great hospital! I always feel I'm getting good quality care and attention.

Rane Walker

I love my docs, hate the waiting time : (

Marie Smith

My son came in by Squad with possible heart attack/seizure & they left me sitting in the waiting room & him alone. Lady at ER window Told me I had to WAIT til his named popped up and she'd call me up, to go SIT, & just left me waiting & him back there alone.(squad was long gone--& then at least 19mins pasted per my texts to family) When I asked a nurse type person who had come out if she could check they the staff got rude & security told me if I don't stay calm I'd be removed. I didnt even raise my voice! Then the lady in the window just shouted directions toward me & had me go back & find him/his room alone(yep I SURE must've been a threat

My Granddaughter came in at 1130 pm and was in pain and had been throwing up. So at that lets say at 12 they took labs and gave morphine and nausea medicine, also they did take a CAT scan. So it is now 400 am and in that time frame no one came in the room to even check on her. That really bothers me, I went out to ask a question and they said they would check and go see if she was able to have medicine. But to no avail no one came in to check. And to me they weren't overly busy..... Not happy..... I don't like Bethesda North but I think I had better wait time there.
