Showed up with my brother, waiting for blood work, for every long time. Could've had blood work done at local HP, and saved very very long wait. Sure someone could have suggested that we go to Ohio Health My Gilead, Mansfield or Marion where you walk in get the blood work done in a few minutes instead. Other people passed us up but an hour for different reasons. Maybe next time I'll go to another Ohio Health center!

I would like to thank Riverside hospital for the wonderful care we received with the birth of our first child. From the moment we walked in the doors to when we left, everyone involved was helpful, knowledgeable, and caring. As new parents we had many questions and were comforted by the staff. In a world where it seems customer service is declining and happiness in the workplace is less common, it was great to see everyone we encountered was happy and helpful. Having a lactation consultant stop by each day was a major help. We also appreciated the three meals daily provided in the room for the mother and father. This allowed us to focus more on our baby. We feel very blessed to have a healthy baby and great experience considering this life event is scary and exciting.

Rude incompetent staff, excessively long wait times because you ask to be checked and the nurse leaves the room for 20 to 30 min then comes back and argues just to leave the room again. They do this until you finally leave. How does this hospital make money this way? Never going back. Was set to deliver my daughter there but changed my mind. I’m having a c section so unless there is an unforeseen emergency I’ll go to u of m in Michigan. Family had their kids there and it’s amazing there. Besides, with all the stories I heard about the twins, I’d be afraid my daughter could have the same fate God forbid things don’t go smoothly. Oh and love the cut and paste response from the owner! They should change a word here or there so we don’t notice how insignificant we are!

Tried calling to find a family member, operator was rude. The er nurse who finally answered had no sensitivity or patience. Telling me that the information I was giving her was “no help to HER at all” you know I don’t usually do reviews of any kind. But wow this place sucks. I get that you’re working a lot. But people are dealing with loss and worrying about their family members. Have some respect and common decency.

Nursing care best I've experienced. Every time the nurse evaluated me she asked detailed questions and responded to my answers. Not just "how are you, do you have pain?", like most hospitals. The patient support assistants were very attentive. Each time someone came to me I thought they were the best caregiver then the next one came and if possible were better still. Definitely contributed to my healing.

Riverside is the best hospital I've ever been to! I've personally had two surgeries here, and received the best of care each time. My grandma has also had two stays here, including one surgery, and the care was top-notch then also. From check-in to discharge, I was taken care of. During my most recent surgery, my nurses Chris, Jessica, and Cassay were beyond kind and helpful. Recovering from surgery shouldn't be fun, but I felt so cared for and cared about that yup, I had fun! My nurses stayed on top of my pain management, and I'm so thankful. I had a laparoscopy, so moving around should've been very painful but they kept my pain to very low levels, allowing me to be mobile later in the evening after my surgery. Shoutout as well to all of the PAs who also took care of me. I'm not local to Columbus, but wish that I could transport Riverside to my city so that it could be my local hospital when needed. They really are that good!

Received a phone call from one of this hospital’s social workers with questions about our adult daughter. We were told that she was hallucinating and we gave the social worker some background information. Unfortunately, our daughter received NO HELP from this hospital because she wasn’t suicidal so she was discharged. I don’t know why mental illnesses are not treated unless you threaten to kill yourself or someone else. Apparently it was considered “ok” to walk around hallucinating. Very disappointed in lack of treatment my daughter received at this “medical” facility.

You don't deserve to even be affiliated with a Christian faith to let premature babies die without making any attempt to care for them. This is not Christian. Modern science has shown babies smaller than 23 weeks have a chance at life. You should be ashamed of yourselves and I hope you take full responsibility for this. If you have any dignity whatsoever.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with any hospital was treated like I was a pill junkie which makes no sense considering I was there for an upper respiratory infection. And just to make things more clear my wife had just been seen less than an hour before me and she has antibiotics but yet even though we have all the same symptoms I was told that it's viral and they can only give me over the counter meds. Used to think that it was a good hospital now it's just a waste of time cause I am going to have to go to another er to be treated properly.

I gave birth to my son here November 1st of last year. This is the nicest hospital I have ever seen. All of the doctors, nurses, and nurse aides were very attentive and friendly. The facilities were very clean. And the cafeteria is really impressive with all of the different food options. When the time comes I hope to give birth to my second child here!

This Hospital, Doctors and staff are heartless towards premature babies instead of attempting to save the lives of premature babies they leave them gasping for air, sometimes for hours until the baby suffocates. These are babies sometimes born at 22 weeks and yes there is old information that states the baby will not survive but some of these premature babies are maintaining their own body temperature, kicking their legs and moving their arms all while crying...at this time the doctors and nurses should be following the oath they took when they first started practicing medicine and do no harm by helping these babies. After all if the baby still passes away they can tell the parents with all honesty that they did all they could. I will never have any children in the Riverside Methodist Hospital OBGYN department...in fact I will NEVER go to this hospital, if they will treat innocent babies this way how can I be sure they would save me in a life or death situation.

Still birth is defined as a baby 20-28 weeks gestation that dies in the womb or during birth. When a baby lives for 45 minutes or 2.5 hrs outside the womb it is NOT still birth!!! Get with current science. I was taught in nursing school age of viability was 21 weeks, 6 YEARS AGO. If a baby can CRY it is strong enough to be put on a ventilator. Its little heart probably gave out trying to work to stay alive. Those babies fought to be alive. You clearly hear a staff member tell the mother that someone is coming to help her babies. No one ever showed!!! These babies didn't have to die. You played God.

Every employee I ran across, and I mean EVERY employee, took pride in their work. Being there over several days, I never ran into anyone that seemed like they were just at work to get a check. I felt obligated to shake the hand of everyone that provided care for my loved one -- from the head doctor to the PSA working to advance their career. It was an amazing experience during a difficult time. Upon leaving, I even lost my wallet in the parking lot, but security located and locked it up until I was able to recover it from them. Riverside is a special place, and I guarantee you will be in the best hands in the country, regardless of the condition.

This is a very pathetic hospital. The staff is very rude. They bill incorrectly and are not ready to change the procedure code even if asked by insurance. They are not ready to accept their mistake. They told us our insurance is in network for them and got all the pre-certification tests done for genetic testing we wanted to do for our to-be born baby and the day before the test they said that our insurance is out of network for them. The test was time bound i.e. can be done only till 15 weeks of pregnancy and they informed us so late that we could never do the test. When they submitted the bill for genetic counselling it was pain to resolve it. Their customer care team is very very rude and wont talk properly. Horrible. My suggestion never visit any of ohio health hospitals.

Alex

Waiting in emergency room over 3 hrs, checking in was fast and then was told to wait in waiting area, no one has any idea when they I can see the doctor. I wish they have some good sofa beds so 11 people waiting right now (2am) could sleep comfortably.

Elizabeth McSpadden

I have never had an experience with this hospital but I just saw the video of a new mother plea for help for her premature babies while she for hours she watched them die. Medical staff stood by and refused to help for fear of tarnishing their success rate. The hospital classified it as stillbirth despite audible crying and visible breathing. Even if interventions weren’t successful the parents could have had peace of mind that everything possible was down to save them. I am so sorry for that family that they chose this disgusting excuse for a hospital and hope that the appropriate parties are punished. I hope they receive criminal charges as well. I hope to be a mother someday and I pray that I have a medical team that actually do their job.

So many people gave 1 star for the baby incident but they never actually been in. This hospital is the best in Ohio and everyone is willing to help.

Ellen Libby

I've had really great experiences with this hospital so far. The nurses and doctors I've worked with (with only one exception) have been friendly and professional and treated me with care. The 1 star reviews really dont seem fair to me. 1. The twins who died were extremely premature and we do not have information on how much they weighed so back off. 2. All emergency rooms have long waits. If you want urgent care for the flu, go to Urgent Care. 3. If a doctor is asking why you're there and telling you there is nothing they can do, there is nothing they can do. It's not a fault of the hospital that you're delusional about what can be done for you.

I came here about a week ago the lady at the front desk was the most rude person I have ever met in a hospital. I wouldn't trust these people with a dead body. The lady was so rude to the ems that brought me that they asked if I wanted to go somewhere else. Shortly After staying I knew I made the wrong decision. The lady said "so she's here for a pregnancy test" when I left the hospital I was told I had colitis!!! An infection in my bowels, and I was belittled because of my symptoms. She came right by my room and talked about me with the other nurses and doctors I repeatedly asked for a number to file a formal complaint but no one ever gave me one. No one stopped the laughter either. I will NEVER visit this place again, not even to see a patient!! Please avoid if you need care

On 25th December, I have admitted my daughter to ER for sever headache and bleeding with stool, my daughter was in car accident a month ago and was admitted to ER by ambulance, the doctor give her pain relief medicine and had an X-ray, we did follow with her famy Dr. Who also give her pain relief medicine based on ER diagnosis. After a month of the car accident and finished her medicine, she complained from sever headache, vomiting, eyes darken and bleeding in stool from past three days. Mr. GLEEN was the nurse in for the room my daughter was admitted, we shared all the story, then asked for the medicine she took in last month prescribed by this ER, I told him, we don't remember the name but you can find all the information in your system, then he checked in the system and found it. I request the Dr. If they do MRI or CT for her that will help diagnosis and the result will share with her family doctor. Dr. GLENN was suppose to do so but a new Nurse admitted to the room and asked about the case, when I explained her the I and my daughter was involved in a car accident and I had CT by this emergency, the diogene for me comes PTSD and I afraid that my daughter not have the same which will be diagnosed by CT or MRI. so I request you to do either one of them. The new Nurs (was female) talked to Gleen silent mode in front of us and left the room, after that Mr. GLEEN changed his mind and told as, "this patient has migraine and she need to take pain relief medicine even for year (s). She doesn't need MRI or CT because MRI cost $5000 which is a lot of investment and it's not effective finding diagnosis of soft injuries like sever headache. Than he said I will talk to my supervisor either we give her medicine or discharge you. After a while he came and brought IV and ampools which had a side effect on my daughter, she got upset and uncomfortable for a while, as my daughter got relief from pain and than the discharge us. After that a Dr. Came who identified him self as supervisor and talked to us very prfishonaly an shown his sympathy and asked that did you do any CT or MRI for this symptoms? We said No and share the case information, he said that after taking today's medication we may have CT or MRI for her. As a conclusion, I want point out that: 1- is the live of my daughter is worth or MRI fee? 2- if something happens wrong with my gaughtor in near future caused by not caring to my gaughtor on time, I will definitely ask for justice. We are just waiting... Please pardon me if there is any mistake in spelling because English is not my native language. Best Regard

I thank God for this hospital and all the staff they saved my daughter's life! I am forever grateful.

This hospital needs to fire all doctors who are willing to let babies die on their watch. This is unacceptable. Riverside Methodist Hospital, your name is disgraced and you will now forever be known to let children die. This is not okay.

Hari Subedi

Very nice Drs and Nurse

loucif trahi

Obgyn service is just terrible they never respect their timing we get there for appointments and we’re always waiting more than 40 minutes for the scheduled time and when we go to check they said we’re behind????!!!!

Mary

My daughter recently had surgery there. This hospital is the best hospital that I have ever been in. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The hospital itself is beautiful, clean and safe. I am from Cleveland area and Riverside puts our hospitals and doctors to shame!! Thank you Riverside staff for listening and treating my daughter with dignity and respect!! We truly loved the staff.

shelley powell

I was saved by the Best neurosurgeon ❤️❤️❤️ Love my post op medical team

SpinningSage

This hospital and staff allowed for children born prematurely but within thier time window, to die without any help. The doctor broke his oath and babies' lives were lost because they did not offer any aid. Despicable!

After experiencing years of hospital visits with my mother I can say that Riverside Hospital is above and beyond. Every single person we have encountered has been friendly, pleasant and helpful.

The ER is poorly managed and filthy. In 6 hours my 89 year old father was not offered any food or water after we asked multiple times. Nor was he hooked up to an IV. The cafeteria is filthy as well and when asked for gluten free options the staff didn’t have any idea where to direct me. In a hospital, where many people have food restrictions. You have some of the best doctors around but your ER, cleaning crew and cafeteria need help.

Tiffany Quebedo

I came here for an emergency situation. My nurses on the 9th floor were exceptional!!!!!! I would call them, and they were there pronto. Surgeons were excellent as well.

Beautiful hospital, very big and spacious, all staff treat you with respect and care and I cant complain love thi place (:

While this hospital is clean & modern looking there are some staff that lacks compassion got patients & family. My daughter was transferred from another ER to here. They called for a bed & it took 4 hours for RMH to find. Upon admission everyone was extremely nice & accommodating. The next morning Dr. Patrick (sub)Parr came into the room & basicly down played a newly diagnosed illness for a teenaged girl. Though he took some time seemly listening to our concerns he never truly heard us & has his mind already made up as to what he was going to do. There was nothing that we could do nor say to him to make him think or feel any different. He even through up the cost of being at this hospital. When I advised him that my daughters life was more than any amount if many & to let me handle my finances & commercial insurance company he then switched his gears back to why my daughter needed to be discharged. All of her nurses were good with the exception of Sarah on the Orange area 5th floor. Sarah is lazy & is there just for a pay check. She advised my daughter to do things that directly went against what a nurse educator & specialist had just advised. She was more determined to stand at the nurses station & talk with other nurses. The social worker on the floor seemed irritated that I wanted to make sure that they had the correct insurance info on file because the nurse educator referred to our insurance by a different name. Housekeeping swept the floor but debris remained on the floor. She then mopped with something that had a strong smell of crushed up aspirin. (Very unpleasant medicine smell) The overall experience has me second guessing if my daughter should ever return to this hospital for any care. It just seemed a mixed bag of staff that made for mixed care in a nice looking hospital.

My mom was in this hospital three times. January 22-28, 2019 January 30-February 5, 2019 March 4-16, 2019 Members of the 6 Yellow Team: Amy T., Berta, Alaina (my mom's favorite), Kate, Evan, Stephanie, Kristin, Elizabeth, James, Malcolm, Paris, Jennifer, Margie, Lori, Ashley O., there was another young man with a more ethnic name (I'm not trying to be a jerk; I just failed to write his name down regretfully) but he wore glasses, had a mustache and had the kindest voice, Jerricka (Transport), Brooklyn (Transport), Chuck (Transport) Marquatta (phlebotomist), Angel (Cleaning Services), Tony (Physical Therapy), and Marjorie (Food Services) ARE ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE AND IRREPLACEABLE!! Being in a hospital is awful. But three times was beyond words for her. They took such good care of her and they cared. They were human. They talked to her, made her laugh, made her feel safe and were very considerate of her. I know James has been rated as outstanding in her book because he covered her up when a doctor walked in. She was out of it a lot of the time, but she distinctly remembers that. But they also made my sister and I feel just as important. My sister works there but in a different dept that isn't with patients, but she loved every one on that team as well. We love our mother so so much and honestly, so did they. Nurses and PSA's are the foundation of that hospital. The glue that keeps the hospital, the patients, and their families together. Then you throw in all the others who clean, take blood, transport patients all over the hospital, do physical therapy etc. and you have one amazing place to go when you or your loved ones don't feel well. I honestly hope I never see any of them again in that type of setting. But if I do have to go back as a patient's daughter or a patient myself, I hope I'm in the care of every one of these guys!! Thank you so much for taking care of my mom! ***UPDATE*** March 29-April 5, 2019 ER: Vinnie, Brooke, Maley(?) (ER transport) 2 Orange: Michelle, Deseree, Julie, Shea (phlebotomist) Kendra, Emma, Mariama (phlebotomist, Maureen (social worker), Cheyenne (phlebotomist), Amanda, Allison (social worker), Andrea, Hilda, Abraham, Marcia (Nurse Manager), Kileen, Dr. Antonchak (rheumatology) MedOne Hospitalists: Dr. Devore, Dr. Meyer, and Dr. Osbuwein Unfortunately, my mom was admitted again to Riverside. Different floor but the same fabulous treatment as the prior visit. 2nd Floor/Orange once again made her feel very comfortable and showed me she was in great hands when I couldn't be there as I had to return to work and my sister was recovering from surgery. Every single time I called the Nurse's station no matter the hour, someone picked up and was very accommodating. My poor little mom did not want to be there again, which is understandable; but her stay was made as smooth as possible where she was surrounded by friendly professionals. They treated my mom like I'm sure they would treat one of their loved ones. You can never go wrong with that line of thinking. One of her favorites this time was Hilda. She adored her! Hilda made my mom smile and laugh! That is so appreciated it's beyond words. Dr. Antonchak came into the room and stayed for at least 35 minutes talking TO my mom; not just me about her. He joked, he observed, and explained very well all that he was thinking and thinking about doing and why. The Phlebotomists got their job done on the first try each time. That is very important because my mom has horizontal veins that collapse. She knows her veins and shared it and they listened. There was a young man who did the same thing, but I forgot to get his name. Perhaps the charts can give you that information. I certainly hope so. I was freezing and he gave me a blanket. Above and beyond from everyone involved and it will not be forgotten!!

I went to the emergency room on the night of 2/27 for severe bleeding. I lost so much blood I passed out several times. There was a male nurse who was leading the triage and basically needs to work on his acting in empathy. The female nurse who gave me the stint for an IV did not screw the tube into the stint correctly so blood and fluid spurted everywhere. She was very short and impatient. When I asked them to remove the stint so I could leave one nurse commented “good” as if I had done something to them and was a burden. So seeing all these bad reviews and the unfortunate story of those babies dying is not unbelievable at all. The staff is horrible and they carry that same attitude with almost everyone. No compassion or empathy. I hope an internal investigation is done and that the ones who did/do wrong are let go.

Kristina Benjamin

After watching the video of every nurse and doctor stand around while two twins died, no one should go to this hospital. The administration said the twin baby matter was CLOSED, guess what? No it’s not. The whole world will not be bullied by you because everyone is going to know what you did and allowed. Making rules about no cameras violates patient rights which is what you’re trying to do now. You answer to the people it’s not the other way around. Everyone has a right to see and question what your medical staff does because you work for us. You’re not a Christian hospital, every worker in that room and on that case murdered those babies!

Cristy Rosa

Horrible! This hospital needs to shut down and be sued! Sickening. So sorry for the few employees who actually have compassion. Disgusting. God Have mercy.

After an auto accident I was continuously having hip, leg and lower back pain. I kept bandaging it with cortisone shots for months until I got to the point I couldn't walk. I went to Riverside ER where I met Dr Hiremath. After them running some tests I was told I had a slipped disc in my back pinching a nerve that was causing my excruciating lower back pain, sciatica, and hip pain. It was the weekend, so i was scheduled for surgery on Monday. I knew nothing about Dr Hiremath because my surgery was at a point of an emergency since I couldn't walk. I can't say enough about how impressed I have been with this doctor, his warm bedside manners, and his appreciated abilities as a great surgeon. He is a Dr that truly cares about his patients. His entire staff have been awesome at my follow up appointments. Dr Hiremath is very thorough with his diagnosis. I wouldn't trust anyone else other than him if I ever need another back surgery. He is top notch! My back surgery was a success. I'm 3 months post op and 110% better than I was when I went to the ER. I would recommend Dr Hiremath and Riverside hospital to anyone considering back surgery. The hospital goes above and beyond other hospital's measures to avoid infections for patients having surgery. Very pleased with my entire experience and highly recommend. Mechelle L

DON'T GO TO RIVERSIDE MATERNITY !!!!BEWARE!!!! ZERO STARZ, IM CALLIN 6 ON YOUR SIDE.

kristabriscoe

Unbelievable, inhumane, monsterous treatment of patients in this hospital. To deny living, breathing humans life-saving assistance is morally wrong and goes against basic human rights. This hospital’s neonatal unit should be shut down and all of its doctors stripped of their credentials. Disgusting.

margaret nadock

This has to be the worst hospital ever!!! Nothing they have told me today has been the truth, no one returns your calla even when they say they will. They tell you whatever you want to hear and then ignore your calls after that! I really hope none of them have to experience having a family member in that hospital and being out of town and not able to get there. Do yourself a favor and go to a real hospital where they actually care!!

Nick Webb

My mom was in for brain cancer and they gave her 6 months to live, which understandable. During a routine biopic they closed off her liver in a way that allowed it to continue to bleed, and turned 1/3 of the liver septic, on top of giving her an ecoli infection. She couldn't continue her radiation treatment becuase she was so weak. Because of the negligence of the surgeons or whomever, my mom lived 6 weeks instead of 6 months. Thanks Riverside!

Barbara Jones

Well I don't know how the stay is but I can say if your African American or Black don't even bother to apply for the STNA position. They will lie to you especially Arron the job recruiter. he have you thinking your getting the job, set a earlier earlier interview so you can be late, and he will send you to another location that you put on your application. Now I spoke to a few people that where Black and they told me he done the same thing to them. If Riverside don't want African Americans or Blacks they should just be honest Mt. Carmel is the same way. These hospital here in Columbus always posting they need help but when you look a certain way they start becoming racist. I'm going to contact channel 10 T.V. on your side so these hospital in Columbus can be investigated just like Starbucks.

From what I just read, the staff of this hospital neglected to care for premature twins and let them DIE. THIS IS NOT HEALTH CARE. TO THE PEOPLE WHO LET these precious BABIES DIE, shame on YOU!!! i will be contributing towards the parents cause. I hope they get a lawyer and sue.

Matthew Layton

Who wants to bet that Riverside Methodist's response to getting raked over the coals in the media due to the Emery and Elliot incident will be to restrict filming on their property rather than working to reform their staff to act like halfway decent human beings? Unfortunately, responsibility and integrity are pretty hard traits to find these days.

Chaiz

They have always treated me right, sometimes make mistakes but thats just being human. The staff/nurses/doctors are very helpful and nice. I have always gotten better after coming here!

Alice Manson

Absolutely the best hospital I've ever been to. They went out of their way to make me feel comfortable, safe, and happy. Theyve answered questions in 2 hours that other hospitals couldn't answer in 36 hours. They're all so wonderful. I'll never go to another hospital again. The emergency has a large variety of magic 8 balls as well.

Melissa Fancelli- Cox

Top notch staff, my daughter gave birth to her 1st child on August 3rd. I was born here... 43 years earlier. The very Best maternity staff anywhere!! Thank you for the attention given to my daughter & especially her sweet baby that was in P.I.C.U for a few days. She was taken care of so lovingly! Bless you all

Be ready to be ripped off. It should be illegal the scam they run called healthcare. A 40 min emergency room visit cost me 12,000.00. Yea. Someone need to be in jail. Crooks.

Ethan Conley

All the doctors and nurses involved should be ashamed of themselves I'm a paramedic and like me you took a oath . You could have tired to help the premature twins instead of sitting there watching the cry while there dying in the mother's arms. Judgement day will come for all those involved and when you meet your maker be prepared to be cast into the fires of HELL. may God have mercy on your souls.

My grandson was recently sent to Riverside for a mental health issue. First time he was there, he was treated for a couple of weeks. Treatment was successful, he was functioning very well. Recently he had another mental health breakdown was sent back to Riverside, attending doctor Ram Chandran Kalyanam decided after 1 week of treatment he was ready to be sent home, in same state he was admitted to the hospital. My grandson had advised Dr. Kalyanam that one of the meds that the doctor had given was causing severe shaking. The good doctor did not listen and sent him with the same meds as he is shaking profusely. Since he has been home I have called the hospital 3 times with no follow up. I am very disappointed in Riverside at this time in their dealing with mental health issues.

Why Not

What kind of monsters are these people? No matter WHAT your POLICY is, no POLICY should come before Human Decency!!! Karma to each and every one of you who turned their backs on that poor mamma and her twins!! Y'all deserve whatever you get!!

Sue Smith

I would never return to this hospital. I am a POA for a friend who was completely misdiagnosed by the ICU doctor on staff. My friend was sent home and ended up in a hospital in Dayton that did find the medical problem and treated her. The nursing staff was very poor as well, very short staffed and inattentive.

Samantha G

I had the unfortunate of visiting the ER. The nurses are extremely unprofessional. I could hear them gossiping about patients. One of the nurses said "she said she did cocaine and I was like OMG". Seriously??? You work in an emergency room and interact with people from all walks of life and you are shocked about drug use. At least the woman was honest with the medical staff. This is just one of the many things I heard while I was there. Nurses are supposed to be professionals that you can talk to and trust with your medical history, but instead they judge and gossip. APPALLING.

Jayne mac

First off the place is beautiful! It's It's also huge... but the staff makes sure you know exactly where you're going and there's always someone eager to help you!

Douglas Arnold

There awful, rude, incompetent people that lied to us to keep us there longer. They miss diagnosed my mother claiming she had a heart murmur and a U.T.I. There was nothing wrong with her at all. Then when we tried signing her out AMA (against medical advice) they told us insurance wouldn't cover her hospital visit if we did that...so. She stayed 3 more days for no reason. We called our insurance provider to find out they were lying to us. When we signed her out finally they admitted to us nothing was wrong with her. They lied about AMA also.. no apology nothing..stay away from this place.

Anonymous Anonymos

I agree with all the comments about how the doctors/ staff are heartless. I went to the ER and I could sense how careless they were. They show no compassion or empathy torwards you. All they’re focused on is getting you in and getting their job done so it can be over with. I also feel that they do not treat minorities the way they should be treated. No one asks how your doing or how your day was, they don’t care for you or your wellbeing but just want to get their job done.

Erica Madden

Sick individuals!!! SICKENING!! How can you stand back and WATCH two beautiful babies DIE!! They were not stillborn! They were breathing for for at least 45 minutes!!! BREATHING!!! I pray no other Mother's come to your horror hospital! BLACK HOLES FILL WHERE YOUR HEARTS SHOULD BE!!! Shame on you!!! Can't wait for you peoples judgement day, I hope you never again sleep at night without seeing those babies faces!!! POS'S!!!

The Blacklist Reviews

The staff there refused to help two baby boys who were born prematurely and instead put them under a heat lamp and let them die. The first one ( Emery) lived for 45 minutes and The other one (Eliot) lived for 2 and a half hours. Both newborn infants were breathing and crying while the mother (Amanda) begged and pleaded for the staff to save her sons. They did nothing. By the way, the CEO’s name is David Blom.

Best hospital inside I-270

Just read how this hospital let 2 twin babies DIE while their mother pleaded for help and the doctors basically did nothing because the babys were born at 22 weeks 5 days. One lived for over 2 hours crying and breathing and they refused to even attempt to save him. Makes me sick.

As a rule I have no complaints about this hospital. However you have a patient that has had a stroke you call for help because said patient needs to use the restroom and needs assistance and no one comes for 20 minutes. As big as this hospital is are you telling me no one else in this E.R. can give a hand to a stroke patient. Absolutely no excuse for this. My brother should not had to wait 20 minutes for help. Talking about being highly ticked off.

Kristi Cropper

Wow, hands down the best hospital experience in an ER I've ever had! Dr. Brad Gable, nurse practitioner, and nursing staff was incredible! Thank you for the amazing care!

Robin Dutton

Best care around! Absolutely saved my life. Entire staff is wonderful!

Lori Roll

For a supposably top notch hospital, they are very lacking. Three big downfalls, nurses who don’t really care, understand or know how to take care of elderly people especially those with early stage dementia/memory problems! This by no means was all of them some were top notch. Kudo’s to Kyle, Katie, Sam, Jordan and the nurse trainer working on Silver step-down Annette I think - she’s amazing and needs to be training and an older charge nurse blond hair/glasses on 7 - excellent! Kudos to the nurses on 7 orange were also mostly a good group! Most nurses DON’T listen to the family members or poor communication passed on. The food was not good and cold when served most of the time despite no menu’s to speak of. And PT was extremely lacking. My mother did not get out of bed her whole stay there except to stand once or twice. I feel bad because some of the PT’s were excellent WHEN they were able to see her per family members- I never saw any and I spent a lot of time there! I say this is a hospital too big for its britches now. The silver tower is super nice, the rooms are amazing - I’m thinking one of the drug companies paid for most of it with all the drugs that are pushed on elderly patients. Most have never even heard of the Beer’s list or the doctor’s are too frazzled to care and all the patients fit in the same mold! Ridiculous thinking. So much gray everywhere in the world! I feel bad because some of the physician’s, surgeon’s are excellent. I am an old friend of a physician who works with Riverside. Spend some more money on education and training for elderly patients! It could be your loved one someday! Would not recommend!

Timothy Brown

I appreciate everything that was done to take care of my 70 year old mother who is not in good health with multiple issues while she was in the hospital there. The outpatient care and communication between different doctors and lack of follow-up calls and emails, however, has been extremely frustrating especially since my mother is having an extremely tough time keeping up with her medications and appointments and she's two hours away with very limited transportation and I am 7 hours away doing my best to help get her on her feet while also being the head of household and primary source of income for family here (my son is currently 3).

Lorri Cotton

What your facility did, particularly your NICU team, should be investigated and prosecuted as infanticide (RE: The twins you refused to treat). How in the world do you refer to yourself as part of a faith-based healthcare system. If you were faith-based then you would hold the tenet that ALL life is sacred, even that of 22 week gestation preemie twins, which you allowed to die, with no attempt at treatment. I will leave this review every single place I see your name! Lots of friends will as well. DON'T Trust OHIO RIVERSIDE with your newborns. You may not have the option of choosing whether or not your own child gets treatment.

Mainstreet Marvels

I’d give you a rating of -100 if possible after reading about how you let those premie twins die rather than helping them like their mother requested. God won’t forgive those who were involved in this travesty

ryan reves

Absolutely worthless. A complete joke. Lied to my face. Said they would keep me till I could keep food down not even an hour later I was discharged. It's been almost a month since I could eat or drink. Think changing my meds that I can't keep down will help.

Suzanne G

BEWARE! THIS IS A THIRD WORLD HOSPITAL!! My father is elderly and he was brought to Riverside due to severe flu symptoms. The staff and doctors said that my family needed to consider hospice because my father was exhausting hospital resources. A lady from hospice called me and told me that I really needed to consider hospice for my father. This hospital is a disgrace.

Ceaira Teets

A hospital full of murders. I hope you are all sued

Katie Williams

Would definitely recommend! Friendly team explained everything before the procedure, which was quick and easy.

Jamie Gantz

Guys, this hospital is dangerous. Please do not be fooled by the friendliness of the staff and nurses. You need to know what matters to your health is the competency of the doctors. This place is largely operated by mid level physician assistants and nurse practitioners. They are NOT competent at all. These mid level providers constantly work above what they are trained. Do you really trust someone who had 2 years of medical training to take care of you or your loved one? They have NO idea what big pictures are which are critical in the management. Doctors go through 4 years of college, 4 years of medical school and 3-7 years of residency training. The doctors are fully aware of their limit and constantly practice medicine under what they are capable of because doctors know so much that they know what they do not know. In the contrary, the mid level knows so limited amount and constantly doing the same thing however medicine is NOT cookie cutter. All patients are different!!!! The nursing staffs are dangerous as well. DO NOT LISTEN what they offer. THEY KNOW NOTHING but pretend they know everything and offer horrible advice to patients and family. Just because they are friendly and approachable, does not mean they know what they are doing. If you have to go to this hospital, always ask to be seen by an attending physician. This is your right.

James Plummer

We've had the best experiences here than at any other Columbus hospital. Correctly diagnosed my mother where others failed. Consistently better nursing staff.

Jennifer Parsons

Absolutely atrocious! The definition of stillbirth is - the death or loss of a baby BEFORE or DURING the delivery. A miscarriage is defined as a loss of a baby BEFORE the 20th week. This hospital staff let those twin baby boys die! They were alive and BREATHING! One was even crying!!!!!! Doctors take the Hippocratic Oath and Nurses take the Nightingale Pledge. There should be charges filed against all who were involved and most definitely that hospital!

goth witch

Well out of recovery. Said he's on his way to his room. And that was an hour ago..and still not in his room. Also no one can tell me how much longer. Beyond Mad right now.

Callie Wylie

I wish someone could explain why the doctors and nurses decided to play God for those twins. I can't imagine a human could watch them suffer and not care.

Ed Dowd

Friend laid on a gurney for 12 hours in ER yesterday waiting for a room. This is world class service? Where is patient advocate.??

dan robbins

Shut this place down. They stood around and did nothing as twins died. Then tried to lie and say they were still born. Still born babies don't breathe and cry. The mom has a big lawsuit.

Ambra Cooper

I should have stayed in Marion general! This hospital is a joke and so are the doctors. I was treated so well in Marion. As soon as I get here I feel like the doctor and nurse are dry and treat me like my disease is a joke. Should have went to osu. After being sent home without them doing ANYTHING. I am back only because my GI doctor is here. And I have begged them and begged them to just give me the pain medicine that works for me. They're treating me like I am a drug addict. I have never had any know breaks in addiction. And the last time I was In was over a year ago! Im having a horrible Crohn's attack and all they want to tell me is sorry for your luck! I will be requesting legal action for this. I am pretty sure that I am fully entitiled to what works for me WITHOUT having to BEG for it! The doctors refuse here yet at a different hospital have relieved my pain! WORST HOSPITAL EVER!

Megan Lemming

I was trying to figure out why Riverside has such a low rating (as of this writing it has a 2.9), and I discovered there was an onslaught of low ratings in the summer of 2018 due to a single incident regarding newborns. Prior to the summer of 2018, Riverside's rating hovered around the 4.0 mark. The above information is for anyone who is interested in context... I underwent extensive breast cancer treatment at Riverside, and the outstanding care I received from physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals saved my life. I went through 16 rounds of chemo, two mastectomies, and 33 radiation treatments. Needless to say, I was at the hospital almost constantly for 15 months of my life. I will forever be grateful for the competent, thorough, and attentive professionals I encountered at Riverside. I would highly recommend this facility and the Ohio Health network.

Nina Lombardo

C/P this review from the physicians google review section because I want OhioHealth and potential buyers of their insurance to hear this too: I am very upset that I trusted this office to begin with. I have endometriosis and was searching for a provider who understood the years of medical strife and debt I have experienced because of this and other health issues. She was great and we discussed an IUD. I'd tried everything else, even two surgeries, before I came to her so this was an option I hadn't tried. I had never been interested in an IUD because my friends had terrible experiences. After having the IUD put in I experienced a lot of painful symptoms. I let it go on for 3 weeks before going to the ER to find out that the IUD was placed incorrectly and was poking into a muscle (the cause of my pain). Since I had been through so much and was desperate for this to work, I said lets go ahead and take that one out and put a new one in. For this, I was put to sleep like a normal surgery at the hospital. Everything went fine, nothing like the pain I'd had before. My (now) husband thought I was nuts for getting a new one put in. My issue now is that this bill is insanely expensive. I am only able to make payments and recently when I have called in they wouldn't even let me speak to a nurse without payment. I pay and hardly get any answers. Now today I called to schedule an appointment (I need an annual pap as well as wanting to get the IUD taken out since I am married now). I was just told that my bill is in collections and until it is paid IN FULL I am not able to schedule. So payments aren't good enough? My employer only offers insurance through the Marketplace exchange so I pay (a lot) for a HMO plan. Other offices will not accept this because I have a OhioHealth only plan. I wish these hospitals and practices would consider the full scope of the position their patients are in. I deeply regret coming here. I didn't go after them with a lawsuit for my ER visit or the surgery. Yet I am being punished and credit continuing to be ruined. When this bill is paid I will not come back. I guess I will just take out the IUD myself.

Sheila Lutz

Best hospital in the city. I have been in this hospital several times in the past year. Everyone on staff from doctors, nurses, patient care aides to the special technicians, food service people, cleaning staff, PT and OT personnel, chaplain services and even staff in the hall who have nothing to do with you -- all treat patients with great respect and care. Something is being done very right at this hospital. You sure don't feel like a number here; you feel like a person who is respected while in their care.

Brian Saunders

I am a healthcare professional and Maureen on Blue 6 stood out to me as a superb nurse. She took care of my mom during recovery. She left nothing to be desired. Before she left the room, not only did she ask if my mom needed anything, she asked me if I needed anything. She also provided emotional support and reassurance, a crucial ingredient to exceptional patient care that the majority don't possess. I can't say enough good things about her. Anyone would be blessed to have Maureen as their nurse. Thank you Maureen and I hope you receive recognition for your dedication to unrivaled patient care!!!!!

Jessica Williams

This place needs to be shut down, all the nurses and doctors need to be stripped of their licenses and blacklisted from the medical community and then the medical board needs to hire people that aren’t dead from the heart up. Find better doctors with compassion and who actually care about every soul that steps in to this hospital! *beware of all the people giving 5 ⭐️. They work for or have family that work for the hospital. Don’t go to this hospital based on their reviews.

Bethanie Deer

Taken care of efficiently and quickly as well as given lots of care an attention especially for what I went in for. They were very very nice

Melissa Elswick

Orange is now my favorite color, that's the floor I was on. The staff was beyond amazing, and I wish I could express the wonderful personal and professional care the staff showed, they felt more like friends. I'd like give a special thank you to Jordan, my earth angel! The bedside manners of the surgical staff was professional and friendly, made the procedure less scary. For having to be in the hospital, I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Thank you❤

Steven Sneed Jr

Another example of a horrible hospital in Ohio and truly believe one must leave the state in order to get proper care. I was transferred here from Berger due to my kidney stent become dislodged and vomiting blood. The doctors here are refusing to do anything to help me. This includes nothing for pain/nausea and they prescribed me a med they know I'm allegic to. Don't waste your time by coming here.

Brad

Anyone and everyone from my family that needed any serious medical attention has used Riverside. My father passed away 3 years ago and he was life flighted to Riverside. I have both a General practitioner and an iDS there as well. The *only* complaint I have is the Neuro surgeon that was to have operated on my father could not have been more rude. I find this is limited to this person than to the hospital in general though. I really like Riverside as a whole and recommend them even (especially) over OSU

Katharine McAllister

Your staff stood by and allowed 2 twin babies to die, just because they were technically 22 weeks along. You know that "due date"s are just a best guess, right? You know that these babies could've survived if you had done anything to help them? 20 to 35 percent of babies born at 24 weeks of gestation survive. They were barely BARELY under that age. And even then, it is possible the babies were actually a little bit farther along since the "best guess" system of deciding the due date isn't always precise. I realize the nurses were probably just doing their jobs. They had to obey the orders and procedures decided by people above their pay grade. I get that. But someone out there had better be loosing sleep over the loss of these two lives. Those lives could've been saved if you had even tried. The babies were breathing, crying, moving for 45 minutes-2 hours after birth. It's there in the videos, I'm sure you've seen them. And when confronted with these facts, there is absolutely no apology or acknowledgement to be found. You simply say "we consider this matter to be closed". I have absolutely no words for that kind of careful, vile, thoughtless, selfish response. How dare you. No wonder this hospital has a 2 star review. Absolutely unacceptable. The life of those babies were in your hands, and you let them go. So much for saving lives. Thanks for nothing.

Zach Smith

day shift younger nurses seem too busy on their cellphones then wanting to help patients and giving wrong info to the head nurse on duty. my mother needed her IV changed and all the younger nurse did was tell the head nurse the machine was beeping and didn’t even say the IV was low. Then when she needed her meds cause the staff was an hour late with it it took them another 2 hours to get her her pain meds. Night shift is more on top of it and really nice, only reason this gets a 3 star

Marlayna Sierra

I was kicked out of the hospital for sleeping on a couch on the first floor. I was rudely awaken by a female security guard and made to leave with out an explanation or a chance to explain who I was. My wife had been there several days on the 3rd floor where visiting hours end at 830 so I would sleep down stairs along with other people who were not kicked out. I can no longer be with my wife at riverside as I could be arrested for trespassing

Bengala FN

took my blanket from me when I was sleeping, served cold nasty food, horrid stench. The staff is absolutely terrible and rude. Socks got wet and sticky from piss on the ground. Forced to keep door open and couldn’t sleep because staff was having a social right outside my room. Never come to this 3rd world country hospital. Absolutely disgusting.

Charles Grant

I feel that all of the Doctors, Surgeons, Everyone who is involved with your care gives 110% to make sure that you get the best Healthcare.

Naveen Reddy

We delivered our son in the hospital. We didn’t have great experience. They are very conservative in their approach and does give you all the options. After birth my wife didn’t get enough colostrum to feed the baby. Our baby started crying as he didnt have enough milk from mom. When we approached nurse we were told that it was common for babies to cry. They didn’t even tell us the option of formula milk. When I asked for it, we received after one hour of my son crying. Two min after having the milk, my son stopped crying and slept. Two people checked for my wife’s dilation every hour. Supposedly one of the nurses was under training and we were never told that. My wife had to go through more pain than she had to. We wanted to do circumcision but the way doctor scared us about the procedure we ended up not doing it. During labor there was possibly a trainee nurse who was given to us, she didn’t have much experience with labor seemed like learning from my wife’s labor. It my wife additional one hour of labor pain. On the whole very conservative hospital who do not give you all the options and want to do things their way. Post delivery, we were given a very small room. My wife’s bed was by the bathroom door and she had extremely hard time going to bathroom. The room was so small I hardly had place to sleep. We had very bad experience.

Soooo I went to the ER yesterday for symptoms I couldn't manage. Tests were being done but get this... My blood pressure was 155/93. No one even mentioned this to me. NOT ANYONE? Nope. Natta. Nine. Negative. Nobody! Not the triage nurse, not the social worker, not the RN nor THE FREAKING DOCTOR? REALLY?!!!! (Pacing I'm so ticked) REALLY?!!! WHY even call yourself a hospital if your staff can't recognize a simple "WAY TO HIGH" blood pressure , bring it to the patient's attention and have a professional sense of urgency to administer care. This is pathetic on so many levels!!!

Erin Elizabeth

They do not care about the concerns of their patients. I wish I would have checked the reviews but it was after a car accident. They were no help. It took an hour to get an ice

Benable7

Hospital and staff are great but the food is terrible. It's amazing how much food affects your mood when you are stuck in the hospital for days. This hospital is not even trying with the terrible food they serve.

Steven Coey

Great

Steven Stanley

Honestly this is a good hospital to go to when you need it. That being said it is the absolute worst place to work. I never felt so unappreciated. Also they really could careless about your health weird isnt it? I personally was fired because I had bronchitis and told them I couldn't work and they told me if I was unwilling to work Ill be fired. Mind you I am working with people with low immune systems.

Judy Holliday

Couldn't ask for better stuff and the floor was on was excellent. Couldn't ask for any better! Thank you for the excellent Care You gave me!

Mary Arledge

They are very caring..

Jeff Uplinger

On Wednesday June 20,2018 my husband was transported to Riverside Methodist Hospital for a TBI. This staff was amazing! I couldn't of asked for better nurses or PSA's on the SICU! Thank you. A special thanks goes out to Shelley, Alec and Mel. You three ROCK!!!!

Samantha Gannaway

The 4 Silver team was amazing when my dad had a stroke. They worked with him around the clock and were very supportive of my family emotionally when it was time to take him off of the ventilator. I know I could trust a team of nurses and doctors like that again.

Terri Edwards

How could ANYONE stand and listen to a mother cry and beg for help watching her twin babies suffer and DIE while holding them in her arms and do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! This hospital and it's staff are DISGUSTING! Each and everyone of them should be stripped of their medical license!

Viktor Bellfort

this place gets a bad rap when bad things happen but i thought it was fine. for routine er visit and a few stitches it was okay.

Maris a

Just read the worst story about your facility. A story that doesn’t seem practical in the United States. I do not care about a “professional opinion” or some statistic. You had two precious lives to save, and instead your facility chose to stand while a mother pled for your help. No amount of condolence with bring that family comfort. Good Hospitals provide medical care for all patients, especially minor patients when the parents consent to treatment! Unacceptable, and un- American!

Wendy Hubbard

What a disgusting excuse for a hospital. The nurses/doctor/staff that allow a living, breathing, fighting child to gasp for breath until it dies will reap what they sow one day. Those little children screamed for help from the only ones who could have helped them and were disregarded as insignifant enough to take the time or spend the money to help. Absolutely sickening.

Tony

My doctor was quick and straight forward, which is exactly what you want about your medical needs

Gary Brown

They where great, everyone from the nursing aids, he RN staff, right down to the sergical team

Chris Cerni

In er they put in an IV. My wife said it hurt and she felt much discomfort. She was admitted. She told the nurses repeatedly the iv hurt. They did nothing. Then 2 days later they pulled the Iv because it cuased a blood clot. 3 tries later they said there "special team" said they got it in. 3 hours later the nurse comes in to hook up the fluids and medications. It immediately started to burn and hurt. She told the nurse who was still in the room. The nurse just stared and did nothing. I had to tell her to stop the iv pump... then she tells my wife that the iv people have gon home for the night and they will get it started then.... it was shift change 10pm..the nurse said just drink lots of water.. my wife need her lif saving medicine. They finally got her hooked back up about 1am. This is an ongoing issue we have had with ohio health. One of there doctors and midwives injured my wife in birth of our child, Bethany Wyat and dr Grogg.

Grant Hutzel

Very efficiently quick and professional visit. Staff was super nice and calming. Hate to make these types of visits but always feel like I'm in good hands. Thanks to the ER team!

Marian Hemley

Friend had a baby their with very minor complications and she was treated very well by all staff and was kept in the loop for the extra 2 days they were required to stay. Glad to say everyone is happy and healthy and at home resting!

Alana Howard

If I could give zero stars I would. No one listened to my long standing concerns about what were underlying effects of my father's health in general or took any notes when any family OR the patient himself could speak. NO NOTES. My father was admitted to the ICU after a flash pulmonary edema(lungs fill with fluid from rapid blood pressure spike and no where for fluid to go, the patient drowns and then suffers cardiac arrest as a RESULT of the drowning). I cannot even begin to list all the ways in which he was psychologically abused and traumatized by the doctors, or how I was traumatized by the actions/inaction/blatant ignorance of the doctors and nurses at this facility. At one point I screamed at the nurses, all giggling and chit chatting about cookouts the weekend prior, as I paced, scowling, waiting for acknowledgement since I tried to get their help at least fifteen minutes prior. When one of them finally looked up, almost bothered to be taken away from their sophomoric conversations, and asked a pointed 'What? What do you need?' my response was meant to tamp the emotions boiling over but ended up being more like "Well, I need an icepack-ice compress-anything cold...I asked for it 15 minutes ago...someone got up to get it. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET AN ICEPACK?! WHY WOULD HE NEED ONE?! HE SAID IT* WOULD HAPPEN AGAIN AND NOW HE'S PROBABLY DYING BECAUSE NO ONE IS LISTENING TO ME!! NO ONE CARES! NO ONE CARES THAT HE'S DYING!" At this point I was cut off and the girl in the back still took a minute or two to emerge. I was able to make it back in the room as my father started to loose the ability to breathe/speak. I have never felt skin so hot to touch when I tried to even minimally help him cool down. He was gasping and trying to tell the attending nurse 'I told you *gasp* it's happening again *gasp* the same way' Meanwhile I am fanning him as there are pools of sweat and I'm trying to somehow wedge the compress under the base of his neck as the point where your neck and skull meet is WHERE MOST TEMPERATURE REGULATION OCCURS. I thought if I could just ease things in the slightest way his blood pressure would ease as well, but, that is naive, not to mention it was too late. I was told to leave the room - which I felt instinctively compelled against. Then a nurse said she could show me out of the room (this is a giant open room in the ICU) at which point I snapped that I knew how to walk and no thanks. I heard the flat-lining, the defib. paddles, and watched entirely TOO MANY people crowd around him. They killed him by refusing to listen to us, and thankfully know how to operate resuscitation equipment well enough that his fighting spirit wasn't lost to this world just yet. They will not release his full medical records, which is illegal, doctors went against his wishes which is a felony, and they still think they aren't in the wrong. Go to OSU if possible - they saved his life before more than once, my life as a premie born in the 80s, and a TBI survivor in 2010.

Kimberly Lambert

This hospital is horrible. DO NOT GO HERE TO DELIVER A BABY. if your baby is born at 22 weeks they will let it suffer and die. They let a womans twins at 22 weeks and 5 days gestation suffer and die. One lived for 45 min while the staff did NOTHING!! And his twin brother lived for over 2 HOURS. You can here their mother beg and plead for her babies lives while the doctors and nurses just ignore her.. This is appalling and there are more stories like it. I will never bring my family member here bc the doctors decide weather your life is worth saving or not. If they aren't willing to save a child fighting for life what makes you think they will save you.

Nathan Verhey

Let two beautiful babies die while they’ve stood around and watched ! Those babies could of survive!

Grace Bernier

Worst "care" ever. Absolutely appalling.

Jake Banker

Visited a relative who was recovering from surgery. We were very pleased with how are our visit went. The hospital was very nice and the staff was very helpful and friendly.

Alexis Enriquez

DONT EVER GO HERE!!!! Why work in a hospital if you don't try to save every life? Anyone who works there should be ashamed of how evil they are. That's horrible how they decide who gets saved and who doesn't. And for the people who work there, Maybe someone should have let you die at birth. Mom should've threw you in the dumpster when you were born.

Kimberly Frabott

I had surgery this past Thursday and it was supposed to be outpatient but I ended up having to stay the night. Everyone was great to me, the nurses and surgeons. My Grandmother and my mother have been to riverside for extended periods of time and they had good experiences as well. I highly recommend it.

RIVERSIDE ER IS TOTALLY INCAPABLE OF DIAGNOSING A BROKEN ARM. They took xrays and told me it wasn’t broken....twice! I walked around in agony for 10 days before an orthopedic doctor took xrays and told me that my arm was misdiagnosed and I’ve been walking around with a broken arm for the last 10 days. They said it was a “bad bruise” and I should keep moving it around to keep it from getting stiff. Come to find out, that was the complete opposite of what I should’ve been doing. They made life miserable for me. I trusted them. I believed them. The doctors in that ER are contracted out by Mid-Ohio Emergency Services (MOES). I call them and BOBBI WILLIAMS IN RISK MANAGEMENT. THEY WERE DISMISSIVE AND UNSYMPATHETIC. Bobbi Williams is rude and insulting. She actually used the fact that I’m a nurse against me. She said to me, “well you’re a nurse, nurse to nurse, you know nurses make errors”. I went through the roof. Her supervisor, Mary was even worse. They are more committed to their company and policy than they are to the actual patient. THEY DON’T CARE THAT THEY PUT YOU AT RISK. I’m following up with formal complaints to the MEDICAL BOARD, OSHA and THE JOINT COMMISSION!! They preach patient safety and great care. What a joke! Here some things went very very wrong and all they could do was deny any responsibility because they claim they are not responsible for the doctors they bring into THEIR FACILITY on contract. I’m not letting this go because this was the 2nd time they’ve put me at risk. What happened to the first rule of medicine:Do No Harm? Do not think for. Minute that you matter to them. You don’t. Just your money does.

Corrie Bennington

I've had multiple family members go through this facility as inpatient and emergency room patients. I was amazed at how quickly everything was done in the emergency department. The wait was minimal (less than 5 minutes) and the care was even faster! I've also had 2 sisters give birth multiple times here as well and each time they were well taken care of, the staff was lovely, and the building was clean. AND FREE PARKING!

Mr. Anderson

I used to have a 5-star rating for them. They have excellent facilities with modern equipment (except the yellow or blue areas which are dated). My father has been treated for terminal lung cancer here for over six months. Initially, he was misdiagnosed with bronchitis (they didn't even do a chest X-ray) even though he was 73 years old, and had been a 2 pack a day smoker for 62 years. His life could have been saved had they done a competent job & just taken a simple x-ray. At a critical time, he stopped drinking the amount of water the doctor ordered him to. This was on advice I heard him get from Sonia Alcott his "Patient Navigator" who was assigned to him. As a result, he nearly passed away. He completed 8 weeks of chemotherapy and six weeks of daily high radiation treatments. With six months of experience here I can tell you they do not hold incompetent staff accountable. I highly suggest, if you have a loved one getting care here to closely watch every move they make. Make sure you take notes of events and times. WARNING: If you are high infection risk, do not eat here. The kitchen & serving area is disgusting and filthy. Common sanitary practices are not followed.

Shawndel Shade

One incident is to many when it comes to babies being born alive and then purposefully neglecting the value of their lives and letting them die. For those of you who have said their rating was great until one incident, then let me ask you this. If that one incident was your child or grand child and the staff let them suffer and did nothing for 45 minutes until death and then two hours before the other premature baby died would that still be your response? Then producing death certificates that said they were stillborn? Callous, neglectful and purposeful lack of action was taken to insure their eventual deaths. Everyone who stood by and did nothing their deaths are on you and this hospital.

Chanel Nelly

They did I good job I came on a Friday Only thing is the dont fed you I think if your in there for a while they should bring you lunch

Alexis Williams

Went in to be seen because I was having problems at 38 weeks and 6 days they were excellent to me didn’t wait or anything ❤️ Was in at 4 left at 7

Jason Sullivan

I just read online how this dispicable, pathetic excuse for a hospital let innocent twin boys die. Just because they were premature doesnt mean they didnt deserve the right to live. They were born alive and breathing, but this hospital claims they were stillborn. How could thet be stillborn if they were breathing and crying. The nurses (especially in the NICU) need their license to practice burned and they NEVER be around children again, since theyd rather watch babies fighting for their lives die rather that help the innocent little angels fight to live. Dont go to this hospital, ESPECIALLY IF YOUR WITH CHILD.

Ganga Adhikari

Nurses were really helpful, professional ( in some hospital they just hire nurses to show people but not this hospital. Amazing costumer service. I love their attitude towards helping patients problem. Really fast

Quinn Sherman

I was just born here two days ago and they took care of me, my mom and daddy. I came a little earlier than expected and they made sure I was healthy to go home in just two days, no NICU for me! I could be more thankful and happy with my experience.

Todd Ruble

Best place for rough times. Staff is so wonderful and caring. Always take great care with patients and their families. Cafeteria and Tim Hortons are great when you are in a rush. Both offer great food fast and with the same kindness of the support staff.

If you don’t want your babies to die here do not go to this hospital! They refuse to attend to twins who were born at 22 weeks! And you call yourself a Godly hospital? Take the cross down because that’s not Godly! How dare you?!

Brian McLaughlin

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST HOSPITAL IN THE STATE I HAD A SERIOUS INFECTION AND THEY WERE ABLE TO REMOVE IT AND THEY SAVED MY LIFE DEFINITELY I WOULD RECCOMEND.

Tina Mcgraw

Hospital is nice clean and have faith family is in good hands. However went to cafeteria to the subway not only was the lady the rudest person I have had to deal with but also acted like it killed her to make our food she just stuck paper around it and wouldn’t wrap it so we had to literally put them back together to even eat it. We have enough to deal with with family in surgery we don’t need unhappy worker being rude and hateful

Thomas Hockman

Over the years we have had three children delivered at Riverside Methodist and each time was five star service. We highly recommend Riverside.

Too long of a wait

Deceptive billing practices. They sent our bill to collections because someone with the same first/last name had something done there in early 2000s. They never billed our insurance company even after I gave them the information needed to bill out. Every time I attempted to call I was told to hold and then transferred to their collections for a bill I didn't owe them. They were too focused on collecting the money from the early 2000's from a person with the same name. Guess what I didn't live near here in the early 2000's. A nightmare scenario. Just when I thought it was all cleared up they come back and bite me 3 years later with a huge bill, including the one from the early 2000's when I didn't live here. You are all crooks!!!

Nurses in th E.R are very unprofessional. They made me feel like I was inconveniencing them. Wait time is insane! I pushed the nurse button and wait 1:20 minuted later and still no RESPONSE. Not happy with my care at all.

Christie Sifferman

They stood and watched living, breathing, crying baby boys die. If you are pregnant and/or in labor, a roadside delivery would be a better option than this “Methodist” hospital. The staff standing by and letting this happen should be beyond ashamed of themselves.

My mother was treated there for multi fractured sacral, all the pain that she went through with her stay at Riverside was horrible. It took forever to get a nurse into the room, then it took forever to get medication for the pain, she's 89 years old always laying in bed waiting and suffering from severe pain. Would have to sometimes wait up to and over an hour for a nurse to come into the room, a PSA would always say, I will let the nurse know...at the same time my she would be lying in agonizing pain. At one point I called the hospital to get a hold of someone in administrative office to see if they could force someone to come into the room to address and deal with her pain issue at one point. That did nothing. It was another half hour still, before anyone came into the room. So then after one of these episodes was over you think to yourself, did I over react, go over the line the line with anger and maybe I shouldn't have been so over the top. Then it all happens again, multiple times. I thought there is no reason for any of this to be going on. She was discharged with absolutely no pain management which was the whole reason why she was in here for 5 days. Day before she left she was still getting shots of morphine. at that time. I decided this would be her last trip to Riverside Hospital Very horrible experience for the family and especially for my 89 year-old mother.

Disgusting hospital didnt even try to save newborn infant. You have no moral right to refuse service. Stay away from this hospital and let them shut down! And you actually have the audacity call yourselves A Christian institution..

kim bagshaw

Horiffic. Any place that is willing to let a child die without even attempting to save them is barbaric-after reading what happened to that poor woman, I can't imagine that anyone would even consider delivering there.

Sharon Seward

We had a wonderful RN in ICU..... His name was Marco Bailey.... He has got to be the most attentive RN in Riverside....He took great care of Ples in ICU.....

Craig Mottayaw

I am sitting here at 2:03 for an 11:45 pre-admission check- in appointment. They were not prepared. This is my Dad’s appointment. He is 85 with CHF. This is ridiculous. I would never recommend Riverside Hospital to anyone.

Heather Martin

I've had all great experiences here except for one. I've been to this hospital several times and gave birth to my son here in 2012. Everyone was so great for me. The one exception was when I was severely sick and my husband brought me in to the emergency room, while there they decided to do a spinal tap and the doctor that was doing my spinal tap was incredibly rude and unprofessional. I was scared and in a tremendous amount of pain and instead of being sympathetic or understanding he proceeded to joke about the old tattoo I had on my back from when I was younger, to his assistant. I remember already being in tears and after that just feeling so much worse. I was in the hospital for a week while severely ai after that, and I will say everyone else was amazing to me and I can't thank them enough for all their help. I had an amazing lady helping me when I needed an MRI, she was so sweet and caring. I will never forget her face or her kindness. All in all with one exception, this hospital and the staff were all great.

Great nurse's

Went in yesterday april 5th 2019 at 39 weeks pregnant told er i was vomiting and thought i seen mucus on my tissue after wiping. I was sent immediately to labor in delivery while walking felt like we were in military me and my fiance as we kept being told to walk in a single file line while i see everyone else walking side by side. Get to labor and delivery triage set in room for 40 mins before a nurse came in. When she came she was the rudest nurse I've ever met first question was "what is the problem?" I told her I had been vomiting all night and thought I seen mucus when I wiped next question "well are you having contractions?" me "No" her response "well why are you here"

Unfortunately I'm back at Riverside Methodist Hospital today with our daughter. I had her here in the ER by noon it wasn't busy at the time. However now it's been a long haul it's now 4:45. We've seen 4 to 5 different nurses and 2 Dr's. Our daughter has the flu and pneumonia

Justin Price

Everyone in labor and delivery are awesome

Heather Welter

I don’t need to be a doctor. I don’t need to be a nurse. I don’t need to understand your technical terms or go to years and years of college to understand that what your hospital and your staff did was probably one of the worst decisions you could make. A mother came to your hospital over a few other choices, trusting that you’d try your damnest to help her twin babies. She ‘played’ by your rules and delivererd her sons up to your ‘standard’ and I watched a video where nurses and doctors stood around while this mother cried for help and had to LITERALLY watch her babies die in her arms. You have a cross on your building but you are not a godly institution. I will slander your name to whoever will hear because I do not believe you care for your patients. YOU DO NOT GET TO DECIDE WHO LIVES OR DIE! Just know that your apologies will not bring her babies back because we all know these comments and threats your hospital is receiving from everyone, is the only reason why you would issue one in the first place. I spit on the person who decided to stand and decide to watch a baby die without even attempting to help.

That Canuckchik

Any health care professional that has taken the oath to DO NO HARM and had a part in the deaths of two preemie boys should be stripped of their licence and NEVER allowed near another child again. DISGUSTING INDIVIDUALS. DISGUSTING POLICY. DISGUSTING "HOSPITAL".

sam

I went to the emergency room here and the staff was so nice. Katie was my nurses name and she was so sweet, there was a brown haired lady that helped with me a lot who was extra kind but i can't recall her name. The lady who took my blood was very nice and upbeat. The guys who did the ct scan were funny people for sure. Made what usually is terrible experience in too something not so bad.

Kevin Swearingen

The nurses are wonderful. Silver 8500 s they made me feel at home and went above and beyond. It makes me happy to see a staff take such pride in there work. They really made a me smile when I was soo sick

Lisa Flaitz

They have taken such good care of my Mother who was brought in with heart issues and put in silver section. The nurses and PSA's have all been very kind and helpful. Special thanks to RN's Allen, Ransford and Taylor for taking extra time to explain everything and making my Mom feel comfortable, you guys are fantastic.

Emily Dimond

Baby murderers! Hope the big wig that made the call to kill the twins enjoy hell. Going against parents wishes, this is the U.S., not the U.K., so why inforce death panel socialized medicine on those that need you most, to save lives??? Heartless.

Melissa Clarke

IM PRAYING FOR COMPENSATION FOR THE DEATH OF MY MOTHER FRANCES BREWER. THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE!!!!!

Tom Howard

Horrible! "Standard Operating Procedure"(SOP). No DR takes Notes!!!! If all of Ohio Health Hospitals. Have the same insane SOP. No one in Central Ohio is safe. Because about 50% of the Hospitals in Central Ohio. Are 'Ohio Health' Hospitals. RIVERSIDE HOSPITAL CAUSED MY DEATH EVENT (Second), VIA, Totally Incompetent Medical staff, And A Horrible 'Standard Operating Procedure' (SOP). NOT EVEN READING THEIR OWN ORDERED TEST(CRITICAL) RESULTS, IMHO ! April 3 2018 ( Dead again 3 to 6 minutes. Same day(Technically.)). By forcibly removing My/the Respirator! Against my Wishes. No means NO! & By Ignoring THEIR OWN Medical Info and Our Medical Info Feedback. SHARE This story on All social media! All News media. You may save lives! Or even Hundreds of Lives. ----------- This was totally against my Wishes. No means NO! Without having a single CLUE. As to. Why I died the first time!(6 to 7 minutes). THIS Second Death Event. ALSO CAUSED. MORE SEVER BRAIN DAMAGE. DR in ER ordered a Heart ECHO. But Prior to removing the respirator. No DR ever Read The Heart ECHO RESULTS!!!! This would have told them. They were probably On the complete wrong path of Diagnosis. And Reinforced The Medical Info We were giving them. This was Time Critical As I was Still in Critical Condition. Then By repeatedly upsetting me. *I needed to be kept calm. Every DR and Nurse. Could see me Visibly Disagree. With every Idea that The DR #2 put Forth. I knew He was on the totally wrong diagnosis path. (About 10-12 DR's and Nurses in the room at the time). DR's Not reading the Time Critical ECHO Test. Before making a very wrong. Disastrous Critical Medical decision. (Only By assumption). That my heart was the root cause. WAS GROSS Criminal NEGLIGENCE(Since my Daughter Had told Him Many times to Check My Teeth.) And He was totally Totally WRONG! Again, They had all the Information they needed. And totally ignored it! ----------- We were giving them all The Crucial and Critical Time sensitive information. They needed. To figure out WHY! Hell My family told them Why it had happened. DR's. totally ignoring it! And By Not making Notes to my Chart. About my Abscesses and Teeth. No other DR reading the chart. Could have ever guessed the real cause.(Which is a very common Cause. And It Turned out to be the Real Root Cause of the first FPE.). "FLASH PULMONARY EDEMA = FPE". ----------- Riverside Hospitals Insane SOP. Interferes with proper medical treatment. The SOP is set up for Billing Efficiency. So That Dr's can See as many patients(Each visit is a $ Billing event) During Rounds As possible! Taking notes. Takes TIME. So it is not done. And Besides that. Some of Their DR's Ego's. Will probably Endanger. You, A Friend(s) or loved ones life or Cause You/Them Dire harm!!!!! Because they do not take notes! At all! As, It is not efficient for billing. They(DR's) Assume things! instead of using Medical Facts they had at hand. Really!!!! Medically. A DR Cannot ASSUME Anything! ----------- I am not misrepresenting Any fact here at all. I just want people to be Safe! ----------- Do not Ever go there(Riverside.) or any Ohio Health Hospital(With the same "Standard Operating Procedures" SOP.). Again! No one Takes a single note!!!!! And they ignore all Vital Information given to them! (Like you could not possibly know. What is wrong with yourself). Yes I am super lucky to be Alive. But I am even Luckier To have gotten out of that Hospital Alive at all. But I am trying to Save people from Gross Medical mistake harm now. ----------- 1. Critical and very Vital Information. Was immediately reported for my Diagnosis And care. To Every DR. Every single Step of the way. The ER DR., ER Nurse. ICU DR.#1 And Dr.#2(DR.#2 Many times**). The information that Was reported and ignored. Was in the end. What really caused the Death Event(FPE) in the first place. (My family Knew this was A/The scenario of events. I was most concerned with. As we had discussed Months earlier. When I had 3 abbesses at once.). THERE IS MUCH MORE TO REVEAL. But there is a word limit! Look up Tom Howard on FB
