My brother was there recently and he is severely handicapped and they did not want to deal with him at all. Nurses were rude (except for 3 who where very kind and understanding) the doctor would not answer our questions and come to find out that my brother caught mersa from doctors hospital. If you have any other options please do not go to this hospital. After this experience, I wouldn’t even take my dog to Doctors West.

Every time I come to doctors it is a good experience. The nurses and staff are very friendly and professional. I'm actually I'm the hospital at this moment and even at almost 5 am the staff is still happy and and friendly. Er could be a little faster.

I love the hospital I have had two heart attacks and they saved my life. The last time putting a Stent in , I ended up with a wonderful Cardiologist from Doctors Hospital. I have had my mammogram there and have been very pleased with the staff each time that I have been there. I commend you all thank you for everything you have done for me.

i am 12 weeks pregnant and have had 1 appointment with mount carmel west i can't make it all the way to mount carmels new location so i called to see if i could make an appointment with there women's clinic. The answer i got was sorry we dont take patients in the middle of their care. So now i dont have a doctor im 12 weeks pregnant have had no blood drawn or tests done and on top of that im 6 months post c-section and had severe preeclampsia with my first. What do i do now?

Moved from Florida during hurricane Irma. Had to switch pain MGMT doctor and wouldn't even give me enough pain meds for 4 days. Instead, gave me meds to keep me knocked out, bedridden. I am single parent and can't go through withdrawl and take care of my son. I didnt overdose and was trust worthy with my bottle showing dates. Doctor gave me a b.s. story. Would never go back. Dont care about people.

2 weeks ago today I gave birth to my son while I was 20 weeks. I got into the ER really fast but tht was because I had him in my car. The nurses were OK but none of them knew how to draw blood. I still have big brusies all over my arms and hands from them trying multiple times to draw blood. Because of them the very first view of my baby that I had was him in a bucket on my lap. They treated him as if he was trash instead of my son. My experience got a lot better once I was transferred to the maternity wing. I was able to hold him for the entire time I was there, they even took his footprints and gave me a blanket with a hat and booties for him. The ER is horrible. But I had a good experience after I got moved. They also told me that he would be picked up and taken to the funeral home the next day. He didn't get released until almost a week later.

Everybody on staff was amazing. I had a large laceration to my leg and they were very nice to me, making it as pleasant as possible for how much pain I was in. I would go here for anything and any problem. I'm very grateful for the way they handled everything and treated me.

I don't like Doctors West because they killed my husband they talked him into dying cuz I didn't want to deal with him anymore they told him dr. Jesse told him that there was nothing else that they could do for him and the next day I went in there and he was dead so yeah Doctors West he left he left 6 kids behind and a wife every time my husband ask for something that nurse and the head nurse was really rude with my husband they would like snug their nose or make a sound or not even want to get it for him because he was you know sick with COPD and he wanted stuff for pain and we got COPD the I don't like Doctors West never will never did

Crooks. Been investigated by Federal Govt. fr falsifying information to medi cal and Medicare. Claim they zero out balance on accounts and meanwhile giving information to credit information agencies otherwise. Unscrupulous!!! Barred me from attending my own mother's funeral. Placed false medical information on records for retaliation. Illegally held me against my will and I was a resident of another state so hopefully I would lose resident status. Day I finally was released they were being audited due to the illegal activity. Corrupt and disgusting. Nasty piece of work like the majority of Ohio. Shocking to how bad Ohio has become.

It's proudly the WORST hospital I've ever seen. "How come you treat patients by age, race or the health condition???" If I have insurance covering my check up, I should be helped on time and fairly. Basically my cousin was going in and out from 'doctor west' for 8 straight days!!! because THEY DON'T HAVE A ROOM FOR HIM!!! Moreover, you gotta wait at least 2 to 3 hours to get checked by the doctor for 1min and half!! Wait, did I mentioned the ((nurses always chat around and laugh on the hall ways, while patients are screaming and struggling from the pain.)) The reception nurse said by word: "WE HELP THE ELDER PEOPLE THE ONES WHO LOOK REALLY SICK!!! YOUR COUSIN IS 19 YEARS OLD AND HE DOESN'T LOOK SICK TO ME." If you was not sick would you go back to the hospital 8 times??? Honestly, I won't give them even a half star and I won't go back there ever in my life. Btw I just walked out and took my cousin to a private hospital were he can get treated better.

This is the most horrible hospital I've ever been to I've been in ICU for 10 days got transferred to the step-down unit light late last night I have been ignored medicine has not been given to me Ivy has not been changed or anything from the past I hear they are very unprofessional unsympathetic with anybody and I am sick of it I want to be transferred into telling me it's too late no it's not do not bring your family members to the hospital it's terrible

My husband is currently at this god forsaken place, was transfered there Wednesday with an infection in his foot, he laid there until Saturday before a doctor came in and saw him and ordered an MRI, (WE HAVE INSURANCE SO THEY ARE BLEEDING US) was suppose to go to surgery on Sunday, but that was cancelled...no one had any information as to why, had not had the sheets on his bed changed the entire time until i threw a fit ...same sheets with infection and all....the place is dirty, they have very poor communication,. and they do not take care of their patients....I just hope that we get him out of there alive....DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL !!!

First i need to start with, my mother woke me one night, she was incredibly ill. Worse then i have ever seen her. I rushed her to Doctors West, which i lived close to at the time. When I arrived they immediately rushed her into the ER and swarmed her, there were more people helping her at 11pm at night then i knew where at that hospital. Nurses, Doctors, LPN's, techs, EVERYONE. It was an all hands type of thing. Everyone was AMAZING, they took care of my mother like she was a member of their own family. They treated us with respect, and every person, every single one, asked us if we needed anything, if we had questions about what was going on. At one of the scariest times of my life they were there. My mother was transferred to Riverside where she passed away peacefully a few days later. Now you may read this and say one star??? This guy is crazy.... Well i wanted to provide some backstory before i explained about what happened to me. After the way they treated my mother i didn't even hesitate, or have a second thought about going to Doctors West when i was in the worst pain i have ever been in in my entire life thus far. All i could think was, I am going to Doctors West and these people will help me everything will be fine. It started with neck pain, then it progressed to legs, back, shoulders, worst pain of my life. Now i have been seeing my doctor for several months at this time about these pains, and was told if they get worse go to the ER. Well i am a man, unless the blood is leaking through the crazy glue and duct tape i don't go to the hospital. Well i went. When i tried to walk the pain was so bad that my vision went black and i think i passed out. Well my wife and stepson carried me to the car, and off we went. When we arrived at the hospital everything proceeded as expected, I was rushed into the back where I was met by a team of angels sent straight from heaven, the nurses at Doctors West are hands down the most amazing, dedicated, caring, and if i do say so myself beautiful women god has ever graced this world with. I could go on for days about how absolutely amazing the nurses there are. Then the doctor came in, and i thought all my problems were over. I was wrong, i was so wrong. I talked with the doctor, well OK lets be honest, at this point i was like a 5 year old with a skinned knee, there were tears, and there was probably some snot, all pretenses of being a man were long forgotten. I was down right weeping from the pain, the nurses were in a panic, although quietly and professionally, my BP at this point was 210 over 161. Well he looked at me, touched a few places and ordered a shot of pain Meds and muscle relaxers. Nurses came in and administered the Meds. About 10 minutes after receiving the Meds the pain went through the roof, i curled into the fetal position grabbed a hold of my wife for dear life and wept like a baby, someone just ran over my kitten wept, tears, snot, begging for death, making deals with god, the devil, the light fixtures, anything to make the pain stop. At this point my BP was 240 over 164, the nurse went to get the doctor. Well the living incarnation of evil came back into my room, and to everyone's complete and utter amazement, he handed me my discharged papers, he then looked at me and my wife and said, "Get a massage, your condition isn't life threatening". Well at those words my tiny, sweet, loving wife went full on mama bear. Well i was wrapped around her waist, weeping, snotting, drooling, begging for death, I just kept telling her, "if he wants us gone then take me home", OK it was more like "just take me home". I did not deliver some epic movie worthy speech, I simply whimpered, and begged her to take me home where i could die screaming with those who loved me. (Character Limit reached, review will continue, if they let me post more. Its all true to this point)

I do not recommend this hospital to anyone. If you do not have another option, please do not enter this hospital. The medical service, both in emergency and in the hospital, is of the third category. I was treated in emergency, I was attended by a practicing doctor and then a doctor who did not show mastery of medicine. They gave me a clear and precise diagnosis. I was prescribed a very old medicine (Naproxen) which burned my face. This was not enough for me and I had an operation on an outpatient kidney stone stone in this hospital. I was discharged the same day and in 2 hours I was back to the hospital with a lot of pain and I could not urinate. They treated me horribly, they tried to forcefully insert a leaf if I had to consider that I had been operated with a "Ureteroscopy". They controlled my pain with "Morphine" but they did not find the cause of the pain. Even though they did not eliminate my emergency, I was discharged with much pain. In my house the problem continued but this time with fever. The next day I went to emergency at "The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center" where they found a serious infection in the operation performed at Doctor Hospital. This infection was not detected at the Doctor Hospital even though I was complaining of pain. Another issue is the billing of medical services. Doctor Hospital will bill my medical plan services that were not given and services not corresponding. They billed over $ 30,000 for 2 emergency visits. Some medical services are subcontracts and are billed by doctors that you never saw and do not know. The hospital looks very good on the outside, keep in mind the reviews of people who warn about bad service and exaggerated costs in the services.

ER staff are friendly and courteous. The door to doctor time was only 5 minutes. The doctor was knowledagble and friendly, as well as prompt with treatment. 4 stars due to long wait time between visits for updates. Place is clean and has security at ER entrance.

I was at the ER on 9/22 with my daughter who had been injured in a car accident. Dr. Evans and Dr. Grenier were awesome treating her severely broken wrist. Nurses Hannah and Tiffany couldn't have been better. As good as they were I think the coolest part of the night was when a security guard, last name Hogan, gave my 1 year old grandson one of his cartons of chocolate milk. He stopped to talk to us and asked if he was allowed to have it. Thanks to all of them.

Did blood work this morning at Dr's West. I told the lab technician she got one chance and no digging if she missed the vein. She took my blood and proceeded to tell me that I should never say that to a Phlebotomist because it might scare a new person. I told her that it she had no empathy or bedside manner. Hello......Patients pay your bills and paycheck. When a patient is treated in this offensive way the person has no business in the healthcare field. They need to understand that there are people who are afraid of needles, or who have been poked and the needle drug through their arms so many times they want to make sure the person who takes their blood is confident and empathetic. I hope I do get a survey from Ohio Health.

The worse experience ever. I went in for blood in my stool and the Dr told me she didn’t know what was wrong with me and for me to see my family physician. The next day I went and was sent to another hospital where they immediately admitted me after doing a rectal exam and taking my blood. I found out I had C-diff, then not to mention they poked me about 5x and couldn’t get blood so they went through my hand. My arms were bruised badly. These people are so uncaring and just want to get you out their face. I went to this hospital twice for two different reasons and both times they couldn’t help me. It took for me to go to another hospital for the proper testing and examination to be done. I will never step foot in that place again

I went to be checked out I'm in my third trimester of pregnancy and I refused to have my cervix checked I went out for sharp pain on left side and sometimes comes on right side the supervising attendant came in and I asked her to draw my labs and take ultra sound she told me there's nothing I can do for you I'm not going to do that. She daid i can see on the monitor something happening every 2-3 minutes but that's all i know. I asked her is there no other way for you to look at the baby and make sure that the baby is ok and she said her checking my cervix tells her if the baby is ok I couldn't do anything but laugh I was completely speechless especially after being told this hospital was so great I'm not originally from here but If I were in labor rather then go there I would deliver anywhere else and I mean anywhere. Worse hospital ever ive never been cared for so poorly in my condition also if your not at least 33 weeks it's no point in going there because they are not equipped to handle your baby's care osu grant or Riverside is where you want to go.Unless you'd like to risk you and your baby's life.

I had my tubes tied 6 years ago at a different Hospital. Found out a week or two ago that I was pregnant. Came to the emergency room at Doctors West and they got to the bottom of what was going on faster than my OBGYN wood. Thank goodness because it was a tubal pregnancy and they got me in for surgery super super fast. I've never had a problem with this Hospital and would always Trust them with me or my kids

Took my father in law to the hospital because it was the best thing to do. Came back the next day and said they have not feed him or anything. I tried talking to a nurse and they took ever to get back to me. Said I will wait to get a doctor, it's been more than 2 hours and they haven't brought food or seen the doctor. I told them how much longer and said he will call the doctor and see how long. This is crazy.

Service was very poor treated my mom like she was nothing she had a fever of 105 bad body aches, vomiting and her tremors were really bad the nurses talked with a rude tone to their voice spoke on thier personal opinions about my mother rather than thier professional stand point. Said my mom had a viral infection and gave her no antibiotics for it. The doctor not the nurse but the doctor walked out of the room while I was in the middle of a conversation with her I then went to the desk to get her and she was out thier talking about my mom with staff members then when I was trien to ask her a question she peeked he head around the corner and said I’ll be back in the room In a minute didn’t let me ask anything she didn’t even know what I wanted she just brushed me off the supervisor did nothing but defend the doctor she even showed her attitude right in front of him idk what her problem was that day but in a professional line of buisness like hers she should know how to treat people and how scary a hospital can be for people with really bad conditions the doctors name was Lori and I feel bad for who ever gets her on one of her bad days one of the guy nurses even walked into the room with just me in it and didn’t even acknowledge me he was in thier for 8 minutes typing as if I didn’t even exist even my 8 year old son knows his manners well enough to know you say hi when ever you enter a room of people the nurse with the blonde hair was very unconcerning about anything the whole experience was just really poor in all my years I’ve never been treated so poorly by staff at that hospital the century of 2000 has really changed peoples up bringing and out look on things I guess it’s Sadening for me because that’s the only hospital I ever go to but no one in my family will ever go back and that’s for sure no one wanted to go somewhere in pain and sick to be treated as if they were nothing

Went there on January 15 2018 with my son who is 9 months old and I was told they aren’t a pediatric hospital and next time go to children’s. Angela the nurse then proceeded to question us and when we would answer she didn’t believe us she basically called us liars. When we went to leave we was told we would have the same wait at children’s I didn’t care at that point I want the best care for my son. Plus if it wasn’t an emergency I wouldn’t have taken him in the first place. To start our trip as soon as we checked in the nurse at the front desk tried to tell us he might have a milk allergy... like no he has always drank a milk based formula and we haven’t change anything..

To: Doctor's Hospital Staff, specially Dr. Massullo and the WONDERFUL staff on 5th floor English is not my first language, please keep that in mind when reading this review. There are no words to describe our experience during the six days my elderly mom was hospitalized. Thank you does not seem enough. 1- Doctor Massulo and assistant doctors: thank you for coming to check on my mom every day. You were always pleasant, and never gave her the impression of being in a hurry. 2- Nurses on 5th floor: You were the BEST. You always came in the room with a happy disposition, you were always gentle, careful with mom, and ALL (every single one of you) had a little time to listen to one of her little stories. 3- Assistant nurses, kitchen crew, cleaning ladies: your have a hard job, but every time you came in mom's room, you were happy, efficient,... thank you for keeping my mom so comfortable, and keeping her room so clean. Went for a mammogram. I have an excellent insurance plan, but they still require your credit card to charge prior to the procedure to cover an unknown amount. I asked what the charge would be, but no-one could tell me. They gave me a price hotline number to call, I did, but they couldn't tell me without a cpt code. The imaging room didn't have the cpt code, the doctors office (same hosp) didn't have the cpt code, no-one could give me the cpt code. Ended up missing my appt because no-one could tell me the cost of what they wanted to charge to my card. CRAZY! The hospital manager called me back at 4 pm with the cost, I had contacted her at 11 am. All I wanted was a ballpark figure. It was a vicious circle of phone calls and frustration. There are better places to go. I'm making an appt with Women's Wellness and Imaging today.

I and my nephew had pulled into Doctor West parking lot to talk about medical choices. We were Only talking quietly in our cars. Hospital Security pulled up began interrgating us, then demanded our drivers licenses,took pictures of them and told us IF we came onto the property again we would be charged with "Criminal Trespassing". We were quietly talking. Not making any problems.What a welcome. Can anyone say Starbucks ? Since when is quietly talking about medical choices against the law ? I will NEVER go here for Anything ever again. The supervisor guard was hateful , spiteful, disrespectful from the start of his conservation.Whether it was needed to have medical treatment, their security decided for us. Never go here.

Absolutely awful rude people. Not to mention they are idiots. I threw my back out on Christmas I told them I’m a type 1 diabetic so they give me Prednisone. So then when we m shooting enough insulin to kill a horse and I’m still 550. Then they get rude on the phone and tell me follow up with family doctor. Oh yes because they are open on the holiday. This place sucks it always has. I think I’m going to file a lawsuit this time.

My dad was brought here with A FIB as his primary concern and he was a patient on the 6th floor for a week. Once they got the A FIB under control, he was treated for pneumonia, sepsis, a UTI and some wacky blood sugar levels. My brother and I took turns staying day and night the first 5 days and daily for the last two. My father also has dementia. We were treated with exceptional care by every person from the cleaning ladies to the nurses, doctor, nutrition specialist, therapy specialists and everyone in between. They brought me supplies so I could shower there. They kept his room clean and came whenever we called. Tim was great!

This hospital treated me like a test subject. No one would give me a straight answer. They tried to take blood 5 times before I finally told them no more and the doctor came through once a day for about 2 minutes and could never give me a straight answer either. The nurses were rude and unprofessional. I hope that no one ever goes to this hospital for any reason. My condition actually got worse until I demanded to be transferred or I would have my wife come take me to a hospital that at least cared for their patients, let alone knew what they were doing. THIS HOSPITAL SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN OR REVAMPED WITH THE PROPER PERSONAL AND EQUIPMENT THAT PATIENTS NEED.

They took my husband in the back immediately due to his chest pains. They diagnosed his pneumonia which turned sepsis. The nurses was wonderful on the 6th floor and all his doctors gave him great care. Im not from this state, we travel due to his work and this hospital was amazing. We was very satisfied with his care.

worst place ever. hate it. nurses are incompetent and they have you wait hours in pain. i've been there numerous occasions and all were the same! had to be rushed to the ER when i had a stomach virus and seriously dehydrated and the nurses poked me at least 16 times, had bruises all over me, before they finally had someone from lab come down and fix it. when i was pregnant with my youngest and had a bladder infection i waited in the waiting room for hours in pain and they didn't even look my way. towards the end of my third trimester i developed HELLP syndrome and they told me the pain i was having was just discomfort from the baby. i was dying and didn't know it until one night i couldn't take the pain anymore and went to a different hospital and they rushed me to the ER. please please do not come to this horrible place.

I've been here twice. Once with my roommate when he had pnumonia and a second time with my wife where she was having intense side pain. The thing most notable about this place is the horrible wait. We got into our room at 8:00 pm and its now been over 3 1/2 hours still with no doctor in sight. 3 1/2 hours of pure pain. I can't believe I made the mistake of comming here for horrible service not once but twice.

Terrible hospital: doctors don't speak English, nurses push pills or needles with no idea what they're doing, and getting anything done on time is a lost cause. My loved one has been cycled through there with heart failure that they didn't treat the first time. Missed diagnoses kill people. I'd sooner walk to OSU if it meant I'd get better care.

This hospital has some great staff however is overwhelmed with many that treat the job as a paycheck and doing their job is an inconvenience. Now on hour 3.5, in the ER for a possible blood clot. Seriously.

This place this absolutely horrible! My pregnant wife went in with horrible pains and spotting. They told her said had to wait the normal time as everyone else because shes not 20 weeks. They will not give any answers. HORRIBLE PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I arrived to Doctors West at 4:30am in SEVERE right side back pain by ambulance. I thought I had a kidney stone. I was seen by the ER doctor and nurses within seconds and I was administered pain medication immediately. The doctor ordered a abdominal CT but then overheard me saying I couldn't breathe and also ordered a chest ct. I was taken to CT within 30 minutes and an hour after arriving I found out I had blood clots in both lungs. I was started on the appropriate medications and admitted immediately. I spent 5 days in the cardiac step down unit. Every single one of my nurses and Doctors I saw were fabulous. Doctors saved my life. I have had a few crappy experiences here but in a true emergency this hospital came through.

This hospital is one of the worst hospitals I have EVER been too you suck they need close down cause I went there today because I was having super super serve back pain and they told me oh Hun you might have a spine infection from getting a epidural when you had your daughter 4 months ago? Like really what the hell? You couldn't give me something for my pain? I will never be going back too this hospital ever in my life they can get shut down for all I care!!

Complete rip off. This hospital overbilled me and I will be disputing it. I went to the emergency room, because I was bleeding a lot, but it turned out to be not so serious. I have good insurance too. And they billed me $791. Complete rip off. Also, will be reporting them to the BBB. Not satisfied!!!!

My mother in law was brought to the ER and her nurse Lorene was the sweetest most attentive nurse that I have ever seen. She was in the room 95% of the time making sure my mother in law was comfortable and taken care of.

I was very nervous going to the Dr.'s Hospital on West Broad St. for surgery, due to all the bad reviews I read online. I was treated very well, very friendly staff, and clean place. I don't have one bad thing to say about this hospital.

This hospital is kind of half & half. I love the privacy of going to the e.r & having your own little room with t.v but the wait is crazy & pretty much being treated like your "over reacting" . They take your blood & say everything is fine & send you home. I was in severe pain & couldn't sleep I got misdiagnosed there & was on the wrong meds for 3 days + 3 days it took me to even go. So I had to go back & find out what was really wrong. I also gave birth here & I did NOT like it at all. Nurses were rude. They held my pain meds from me in fear I was gonna puke them back up. I had just delivered a 9lbs baby with 10stitches in me!

Went to ER tonight with back and hip pain ( something I never do ) the nurse took my bp and she said it was very high in fact at stroke level. I sat there for almost two hours and never got called back !!!! I felt like they though I was a drug seeker. I have been offered pain meds by my oncologist for my cancer and have turned them down many time !!!! Dr West needs to understand not everyone walking in their doors are drug addicts. In fact I will take a drug test anytime they feel the need to give me one but all I want is some respect in return !!!!

If I could give less than one star I would. I have been in the waiting room for an hour after being checked in and was told my room would be ready shortly. Since then, at least 10 other patients have been taken back to rooms while I’m sitting here with excruciating back pain that is just getting worse and worse by continuing to sit in their waiting room. The highlight of this trip though is that the security guard had the couth to come over and see if I wanted the tv turned on or anything to make me more comfortable while some robust lady is sitting on her phone blatantly scrolling through her Facebook. Doctors West Hospital is the WORST place for emergency treatment not only in central Ohio but arguably in the entire state.

Went into surgery today with Dr. Patel staff was very professional and very comforting. Wanting to give a huge thank you to the recovery staff especially Ellie Suzy, she was a huge help and showed all of 45 years experience! If I could rate this hospital no stars I would. The first thing I would like to mention is the staff as a whole is highly unprofessional. The staff is rude, discourteous, immature, and careless. This is the worst hospital I have ever been to in my entire life, and the way they treat clients and family is outright disgusting. This is the worst hospital in Columbus, Ohio. My family was literally praying for my sister and the police came in and kicked my family out and said they are not allowed to do that. They would not allow us to see her, and the staff was laughing at her. This place is utterly despicable. All thumbs down. I would rather go to a butcher than go to this hospital. This place is trash steer clear.
