We chose Mercy Fairfield for my wife’s prenatal care as well as delivery of my daughter. Every nurse, practitioner, and doctor we encountered from the beginning through postnatal care has always been pleasant and professional.

Horrible experiences! We live within 5 minutes of this hospital and I’d rather travel hours to another hospital instead of going here. Been to Mercy Fairfield a handful of times because it was urgent and I required intravenous Benadryl. The hospital is filthy, every doctor/nurse that I’ve come in contact with, acted like they don’t care and that I was bothering them(while having anaphylaxis). I had to stay overnight once, was given a toothbrush where the bristles basically fell apart at the touch, the sheets are always dirty, the assistants were talking about having sex and how they can lift their spouses in the air. One of the doctors grilled me about falling, acted like I made it up, and asked me to show him how I fell. Didn’t believe I fell or that anything was wrong with me. I went to a different hospital and was diagnosed with heart issues that cause blackouts. For everyone that I love and people that I don’t know, I encourage you to NEVER go to this hospital if you can avoid it.

If you want to sit in the waiting room for 5 hours before being seen then this is the place for you! Otherwise.. you will be very disappointed. I understand in hospitals it’s not a first come, first serve type of thing.. I know that it depends on the pain/illness you have. But 4 hours I waited and watched literally everyone that came after me get a room before me. I was told that they had no rooms at the moment.. and the patients in the waiting room had to wait until a room gets free with no specific time given on when I will be seen even after waiting for four hours!!! It was ridiculous!! I saw a number of patients leave after waiting for two hours and not being seen. It’s pretty sad honestly. After waiting for 4 hours my hemo levels was as low as 7.5 and I was told by my doctor that I didn’t need blood transfusion regardless that the average woman hemo levels is supposed to be 12.0-16.0. My doctor sent me out with iron pills and that was it! My doctor did nothing for the fatigue that I am feeling due to the low hemo. I was out of the doctor hair within in 15 mins after waiting for four hours!!! I was livid! Not only did I feel rushed I felt like I was not given the best care as a patient. I’m so disappointed and still in pain as I type. I will be going to another ER room from this day forward. If you have all day to sit in the ER without being seen... then like I said before this place is for you otherwise don’t bother and save yourself time and your love ones and get proper care somewhere else.

These People Are Very Rude An Disrespectful An Highly UnPleasant When It Came To Trying To Help Find My Female Cousin Who Is Now Missing #NoStars

I had my daughter at Mercy Fairfield and everything was great. The room was big and clean. They did not allow us to send our baby to the nursery. They told us that either myself or my husband had to be with our baby at all times, even when they had to run tests. So she never left our sight. That made me happy because my older daughter had spent a couple of hours in the nursery at another hospital and they fed her a bottle of formula when they knew I was breastfeeding exclusively. The doctors were awesome, the nurses were awesome, I have no complaints about the hospital for that trip. 5 stars My daughter who was six months old broke her arm (just a fracture so it was hard to figure out what the problem was by ourselves). We took her to Mercy Fairfield because it's less than a mile from our old house. The doctor tugged on her arm, then acted like I was crazy because she wasn't crying. I finally got through to him that she only cried when you turned it certain ways. They x-rayed it and didn't find anything, so they wrapped it up and sent us home. We knew there was still a problem, so we ended up taking her to a Children's Hospital Urgent Care. They ended up getting the results from the hospital and the radiologist was mad because you could clearly see that there was a fracture (I could even see it, and I'm an engineer, not a medical person.) She ended up getting a cast. Moral of that story: Never take a kid to Mercy Fairfield. 1 star My mom was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer while at Mercy Fairfield. She spent three weeks in the hospital before they figured out what it was. I would give about 3 stars for that trip. My mom had surgery yesterday to have a plastic stent removed from her bile duct and replaced with a metal one so that she can have radiation treatments for her cancer. She went to the ER last night because she was in horrible pain. The doctors and nurses in the ER were so rude to her it was unbelievable. They said there was nothing wrong with her and acted like she was just there for pain medication, like she was some drug addict or something. My mom had just had surgery, she looks so sick because she's been doing chemo, she has no hair and she was in horrible pain. I understand that they couldn't find anything wrong, and I can even understand them being hesitant to give someone who's already on a lot of medication even more pain medicine. But they were just so rude and horrible to her. Heaven forbid it be their mother laying on that bed. Maybe they would try to be more understanding. 1 star for this trip.

This place should be avoided if you value your life. I had surgery in the late afternoon. Placed in my room I immediately proceeded to cough up thick trickles of blood onto my gown in streams. The nurse came in and screamed at me for "not using the spit container* and refused to help me change (just had major surgery) out of my sticky blood soaked gown. I was sick, cold, vulnerable and humiliated. I later discovered that she tucked the call button under my bed. Since I have not been omitted to a hospital in over 30 years I had no idea the mode of communication. From 4 pm until 6 pm not one person checked on me. I banged the wall untill finally a passerby stopped and alerted the nurse. Same nurse, screamed at me for not using the call button *which I did not know existed*. I was so sick and vulnerable, could barely talk from the tube being removed from my throat. ....everything I said came out in a whisper...... I literally felt my life was on the line with this "caregiver" so i told her i would no longer deal with her and wanted to speak to charge nurse. I was ready to crawl out of bed and dial 911 If this did not work. Thank God another nurse assisted me. This was one of the worse experiences of my entire life. Shut this place down. ALSO: at every point of contact the medical assistants ignore the patients and sit and gossip about each other, other patients (HIPPA) violation.... I have never seen such poor/rude/clueless frontline medical care. When I got tired of listening to the receptionist discuss specific *fat* patients....i stared at her thinking maybe she would realize the entire waiting room could hear her. Her response? She put a paper over her mouth like a six year old and kept on gossiping...... just. Disgusting. This place should be shut down stat .

Worst hospital to go to.... I don't like going here... I've been to mercy's "EMERGENCY" at least 5 times and every time I've been I've literally waited 3 hours plus to see a doctor... I understand there are other patients to attend to but theres gotta be enough doctor's to get the patients in the waiting room quicker than every 3 or more hours... even when you get called back to a room and they talk to you for a bit and check your temperature and heart rate you have to wait even longer until someone comes back in to assist you as to why you are there... having to wait on two or three different doctors... the people who are at the front window are "rude"... I seen some people who came before me see a doctor and a hand full of people who came after us see a doctor before us... two out of the 5 visits it was only me and at least one or two other patients waiting to be seen and again it took about 3 hours... when I do get to go into a room I see nurses and doctors standing around having a casual conversation or on their phones... it makes you wonder if there was a really serous emergency how quick would they react to it, 3 plus hours? I've "never" had this experience at Good Samaritan...

Longest wait times for a hospital ER I've ever seen. Always say they are waiting on a room. Sounds like they either need more staff or to build a bigger ER. Came here on a Saturday night and on a Monday night, both times had a wait over 2 hours.

I was in a serious car wreck at dinnertime (both cars totaled) a couple of weeks ago (Nov. 8, 2016). I had bruises on my legs & ribs, and a gash in my head with blood everywhere on me -- I was scared to death. The ambulance EMT's were wonderful... and the staff at Mercy ER was amazing when I arrived. I had CT scans and ended up with 7 staples in my head (which sounded horrible), but the process was relatively pain-free and they gently talked me thru everything.... both nurses & the doctor (Dr. Finnerty). Since it was after midnight by the time I was checking out, the nurse even called a taxi for me so I could get home without waking my friends. Lovely & professional people.

My mom came feeling dizzy/light headed serverly they ran a few test and sent her right back to the waiting room for hours... Terrible hospitality... Dirty facility.. Would never return again

I was admitted to the hospital 8/4/16 with blood clots in my lungs. I was treated immediately in the ER and the intervention most probably saved my life. I am thankful to all of the people in the ER and on 3A for their professional care in the face of a life threatening situation.

Horrible care every time I have been here!

Randy Meenach

Worst place ever . 2 people in waiting room one being us. Waited 3.5 hours completely ridiculous. I understand that some come by 911 but 3.5 hours and still not in the back....someone needs to be looking into this place

If I could have sued I would have! There was definitely neglect but told it is too hard to prove on paper. Let me begin my story. On February 9th 2017 I had an appointment in the clinic. DR. NARENDRAN saw me. She was shot tempered, rude, and nasty with me. I was 23 weeks along. She grilled me about my first ultra sound then proceeded to accuse me of going to a termination facility to get it. I told her it wasn't and she arrogantly argued with me. She said she knew the place and it was a termination facility. I abhor abortion so I made damn sure that wasn't the case. Then she was hateful to me about my weight. I'm fully aware I'm not thin. She chastised me like a child and told me "I want you to gain 0 lbs. Until you deliver. " while making a 0 with her fingers. I left the office and sat in my car and cried at the way I was treated. Later that evening I had pressure in my abdomen followed by some light pink discharge. This obviously sacred me. I went driving to mercy fairfield and went in through the er with my concern. They told me walk on up to the L&D unit. Yes, someone who is concerned about preterm labor the told to go ahead and walk alone to the L&D UNIT. nice. When I got up there I was met with a bunch of faces looking at me like I was an idiot. I explained what was going on and was begrudgingly escorted back to an exam room. Then I was told repeatedly that I shouldn't just show up, I need to call first because they can probably tell me to stay home. Also told more than one time if my water disn't break and I wasn't gushing blood that I was probably fine... when Dr. Bonar saw me she basically did a UA and a vaginal exam and sent me packing. Told me there was sugar in my urine and to get the glucose testing done asap.... never mind the fact I didn't have sugar 12 hours earlier... I feel like that was a red flag that got ignored. The next day I called back on the phone as they requested because I had increasing back pain. I was blown off. Again. Told to drink gatorade and put my feet up. This didn't do much. I did as I was told... they're doctors after all and my water didn't break and I wasn't gushing blood. Surely they know what they're doing. Saturday comes. By mid morning I'm in excruciating pain feeling like I'm having contractions 2 to 4 minutest apart. I drove myself to mercy, expecting to go in. I did as I was told before AGAIN and called. It was Dr. NARENDRAN... I explained to her everything that happened from Thursday to that point and told her I was in pain 10/10 and feeling like I was having contractions every 2 to 4 minutes. Her response? "I don't have any pain pills I can give you for that! Go sit in a hot bath and relax and if you still feel bad on Tuesday call the office for an appointment. At that point I took myself to UC hospital. I was admitted within 15 minutes of getting there in full active labor dilated 2 or 3 cm.... my baby was born, lived for 12 hours and died. I place the blame squarely on the shoulders of this office. DO NOT trust these yahoos. They don't care at all and are poor excuses for medical professionals. Rude nasty and incompetent. Now for the patient advocates. They advocate for no one but mercy. When I went through all this the only thing that came of it was a "hey we're sorry you're unhappy, we'll knock off the charges for one of your appointments." Not a, "let's look at our practices." Not "let's see what we can do so this doesn't happen again." Nothing. I was also informed that they don't document triage calls. This tells me they don't even look at your medical record or chart. How is that best practice? I wouldn't go to this hospital for a bandaid! I was 100% neglected. Of course when they "spoke to the doctor" none of the the last call I made could be recalled. Of course it couldn't. Doesn't matter because I remember it all. I will scream this from the top of the mountains if I have to. My daughter deserved better than that. Obviously we weren't worth 15 minutes of their time.

Been here multiple times in the last month they always take forever and never know what’s wrong with me and they keep making my symptoms worse telling me I have this and that but the pain never goes away

Every time I deal with this group there are always billing problems that end up taking me hours to resolve. Their website is a joke and their billing department only works until 4:30 so you have to take time off work to correct their incompetence.

Working with the physical therapists (and you MUST work at recovey), I am seeing improvements in my condition on a weekly basis.

I brought a family member to mercy 2 times both times they had us waiting for hours to be seen and it wasn't even busy it was 2 in the morning and they lied when I ask when could we be seen they said soon as a room is check out when I seen for a fact two people walk out that was there before us it not like we didn't have health insurance this will be the last time I come here

If I could give no stars I would....Came to the ER night shift staff act as if you're bothering them for being sick. Then had to literally urinate in a Styrofoam cup because all the staff were in dealing with one ."difficult patient". If that wasn't bad enough the doctor came in at 6:00 am to discharge but no nurse came until 7:30 and by the way the light was on the entire time to go to the bathroom. The nurses that were at the desk scattered when I walked up to the desk. After about 45 minutes of light being on someone came over the PA and asked if they could help us then stated someone would be there soon. I knew it was a mistake coming here but it was the closet hospital at the time. Never again!!!

Wow :-( said I have bronchitis. Ok but got no fluids or blood work done. Asked if had tetanus shot in 5 years I said no and they don't attempt to give one.suppose to do an ecg and didn't. It's called mercy for a reason. The only mercy you get is by the lord himself. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because I made it home alive.

Went there for my right leg for bad hamstring last January this rude old dude that works there got mad at me for having bad hamstrings telling me "You need to go on a f**king diet and exercise daily..your too fat" I was so steamed I was almost about to make a scene and just about stormed out of there...I honestly believe the staff and doctors there have no heart nor care for anyone that needs seeking help on what they need to do in life. My suggestion for anyone that has suffered from the hospital's horrible staff or new to the area avoid Mercy Health at all costs regardless of distance.

Jeff King

Went to the emergency room with chest pain and numbness in arms and legs and feeling faint. And I left in the same condition. No one discussed any results of anything. The Dr literally asked me what I wanted er to do. I said uhh find out what's wrong. My blood pressure was very high and it even stated it on my discharge paper how high it was. They didn't care whatsoever. Would not recommend this facility.

Andy Scarth

Thank God for this hospital. It has saved my grandpa's life countless times, great staff. However I dont ever want to be here. I'm here now with my grandpa and I want to never have to be here.

Great people, helpful and the gift shop has good items.

My mother went to the ER in horrible neck pain at 11:00pm just to be left in the lobby for 2 hours and 20 minute exactly before she even she the doctor. When the doctor saw her, they kept her back there another hour and 40 minutes before they gave her medication and released her. Also, she has insurance and still had to pay her copayment upon departure. They were completely unprofessional and had ZERO ergency to help anyone.

First time here they treated myself and my fiancee horrible.Drove a wedge between us.Was eventually told by security to leave my fiancee and was not allowed back to see her due to "arguing".Worse service I've ever recieved from an ER

I've been here a few times. Good experiences so far. Thorough and helpful staff.

The staff was friendly and professional but the wait times are horrible over 3 hours before I was called to a room...That is too long to wait to see a doctor...

Good I'm happy with it and all the people who left bad reviews have bad additudes and shouldn't be allowed to post reviews mercy isn't at all bad and if u say it is I want proof

I got excellent treatment!

My mother in law was admitted for sepsis, from a urine infection. A central line was placed, she obtained a clot in this same area, she also sat for greater than 24 hours with a large mucous plug in her lung, before they would do anything about it. This delay in treatment caused her sats to drop, and an increase heart rate that was sustained until the mucous plug was removed. Her Coumadin had not been given to her for quiet some time. (due to the clot in the right upper extremity) She was a patient there for almost a month. The night before discharge she was very confused and anxious. I told the nurse this and once again, nothing was done. One might believe that she could have had a pulmonary embolism, as she died the next morning. Once I found her slipping out of her recliner, with stool all over her. I called for help, and it took quite some time before someone came to help. The nurse commented that she was at lunch. There are many other unfortunate acts at this hospital that I believe strongly led to her untimely death.

Charlie Schierloh

This is the absolute worst hospital to go to. DONT COME HERE.

Fun Time

Good hospital but low on service for you.

Brenda Krekeler

The hospital is always clean and well maintained. The staff at the main entrance is very friendly. The valet service is fast and helpful. Registration is also friendly and tries to process information quickly. Regarding nurses and doctors, they are top-notch professionals. If there is a problem, it is addressed immediately. Quality health care, quality hospital.

I went for an appointment with Tiffany Hall and she was very nice and quick, had me in and out. The rest of the staff I came into contact with on the other hand were unfriendly and very unwelcoming.

Sherry Blevins

My mom was in the Intensive Care Unit for almost 2 weeks and you couldn't have asked for better care for her or us! The nurses always went above and beyond what they had to do and were very compassionate.

My husband was in and out of this hospital for over a month June 2017 and he got filthy and no one would help clean him..my daughter and I just got warm cloths and tried ourselves but he needed to be bathed or have a shower but no one would do it..he was unshaven and finally he was released for a weekend and I had to put him in the tub and wash him at home he was so filthy...he was having problems breathing so I could not shave him..he ended up back in the hospital before we could get him shaved and finally my daughter and I brought his razor and shaved him ourselves...I was working so I wasn't there all the time but his room was like grand central station I told the nurses to only let family in finally ~ but no one paid any attention and all kinds of people were coming in and my husband was on heavy drugs saying all kinds of things. Our family did not want this...plus his boss visited with a grandchild that had strep throat and my husband had cancer...then he went to ICU and it was the same damn thing..visitors all kinds..no one asked us if we wanted visitors..they just let them in. I told Dr's and nurses to call and let me know what was going on but no one would..then one of the Dr's acted like he was pissed I wasn't there for him to talk with me...really they come around at 6:00 am in the morning and I had to work plus even if I were not working I would not be at the hospital at 6:00 am for the most part. I am concerned about security in this hospital the way people come and go. My husband was admitted to ICU and I came down to the hospital at 2:00 am and was let in emergency and told to just go upstairs to see him..I did not sign in and no one knew who I was..this seems pretty loose to me plus letting just anyone come see my husband when I wasn't there and not asking the family as sick as he was..it was pretty awful. I was not impressed...plus one of the Dr's came in to discuss test results and my daughter and I were there but she didn't ask who we were or if she should discuss the results with just my husband and I instead she just blurted out well you have some cancer that metastasized making my daughter cry and my husband...it was a mess..thank you for the drama that could have been avoided..take a little more time Dr...ask some questions and have some compassion and no hospital should be grand central station. Overall I would not want anybody I cared about in this hospital for more than a day.

I went here and they gave me the wrong antibiotic and took it for a week and I got worse

My father came here to get what would be a out patient surgery and ended up with a tracheotomy because they damaged his throat intubated him and was a code blue.five days it took to get doctors to remove breathing tube out now he has a tracheotomy in his throat. I would not bring my dog here. The nurses are great and I feel their pain . This is no bull if you know anyone that needs a hospital be wise and go to Cincinnati . They maybe worse than fort Hamilton and that is saying something

Jayson Creech

Took my 3 yr old son due to splitting his eye open took awhile to be seen in the emergency room but once seen had a great nurse who was wonderfully polite, patient, and caring with our son considering he was in a lot of pain and beginning to panic.

My name is Benjamin Wilson i have had nothing but the most professional, kind and upmost care at mercy. Just to name a few the 4th tower,ir,ultrasound, and same day surgery are top notch best attitudes and care would recomend anyone for treatment.most know me by face some by name as i also do. They all have had a positive role in keeping me alive and my mortality rate

worst hospital ever came here with my son at 1am he slammed his finger in the door no one was in waiting room so we figured maybe we would be in and out but no they took us back in the room and that's where we sat took them 3 and a half hours to come give him stitch's but yet 5 nurses all sitting at the desk the whole time and when you ask they just say it takes that long to read a x-ray I will never return to this hospital it is terrible even if no ones in there

Emily E Timko

Cane in at 330 pm yesterday with chest pain and shortness of breath. Didn't go back til almost 5pm. Doctor and nurse didn't communicate with me at all. I understand they take people back with emergency first, but wouldn't chest pain and shortness of breath come first?

I took my wife to the emergency room here on Sunday night and was HIGHLY disappointed. We had been referred there by the Urgent Care we initially went to for dehydration. I signed her in and we sat in the waiting room. About 10 minutes later we were called back and thought she was going to get some help, but no. The only thing they did was weigh her and take her bp, then it was back out to the waiting room where we sat for 5 HOURS! After about 3 hours I asked for an update and was told that they were waiting for a bed to open. My wife was literally doubled over in pain, shaking and had no color at all in her face and there she had to suffer for 5 hours. Nice EMERGENCY room. I would not take anyone here. There is a reason that people call it the hospital where people go to die. Sad.

C. Lumbus

Worse emergency room experience I have ever had. I left in tears feeling as if I was not worthy of service.

Abdoulaye Aw

Took my sister to ER emergency and stay 3 hour before getting room. Ask Staff what going but they tell not enough room which doesn't make sense. Will never go back to their emergency.

This place is horrible! Went in three times over 8 week period since I was in pain and it's the closest place. I had the same symptoms each time, clear fluid dripping from one nostril, body pain especially in my neck and back, and headaches. I was seen by two different doctors and none of them got it right even after I told them what an ENT that I had been seeing suspected. The first time I was literally given the diagnoses of a runny nose (rhinorrhea), probably due to allergies even though I told them this was not allergies and I had none of the usual allergy symptoms and absolutely no nasal congestion. I was told to take nasal decongestant and allergy pills and that's it. The second time was with the same doctor. I told them then that I was miserable and that my ENT believed it could be spinal fluid leaking from a hole in the dura of my brain and was ordering some xrays. They took me for a CT scan and came back with chronic sinusitis. I was also told the body pain could be from that or I could have just picked up a bug.I'm not sure how it was chronic then since according to them I didn't have it two weeks before when I was in to them! I was given an antibiotic and something for the body pain, and sent home again. Third and worst visit another two weeks after that. I had an MRI that didn't find anything remarkable ordered by my ENT but he was still going to refer me to a neurologist because something wasn't right. I went back to ER for the pain that was just unbearable. I had a different doctor in the ER this time but I'd have gladly taken the first one back even as ineffectual as she was. This one was rude and extremely condescending. He told me without a head injury I couldn't have a cerebrospinal leak. I asked them to check the fluid coming from my nose and he told me they couldn't just look at it and say "Yep. That's spinal fluid." He told me that I needed a new ENT if mine wasn't going to do anything and "no offense to Dr. Bauer (my ENT) but we're all wrong sometimes" I left there with a referral to another ENT and a prescription for another nasal spray. I never filled the nasal spray since I told them on ALL 3 VISITS that I had absolutely no head congestion since this had started. I did however go see the ENT that he recommended for a second opinion. That ENT also said cerebrospinal fluid leak!! I did finally get my call from a neurosurgeon on a Friday morning. Set up an appointment with him for Monday morning and by the following Friday I had surgery to have my brain patched because I had cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea or CSF Rhinorrhea. He wanted the surgery as soon as possible since the leaking was getting worse and worse over time and there was a chance I could get meningitis. He also said the MRI (that Mercy Hospital said had showed nothing remarkable) had two different suspicious spots that could be the sight of my leak. He also collected fluid to have tested to see if it was CSF. A part of my brain was pushed through the hole that was as big as a thumbnail I'm told. They had to push it back in an patch the hole was tissue from inside my nasal cavity and glue. I am doing well after my surgery but no thanks to Mercy Hospital. They really dropped the ball on this one!! They do not take the time to listen or do what they are supposed to. They are about nothing anymore but trying to get as many people out the door as they possibly can. I was spoken down to by someone who presumed to know my body better than I did myself and made to feel that I was going crazy because they supposedly knew more than me. The only way I would ever return to this hospital is if I'm out cold and an ambulance takes me there without me knowing and I will NEVER, EVER recommend it to anyone. I'd rather take the extra time to go somewhere else even is it's a life threatening situation since being there with their terrible doctors could be just as life threatening!!!!!

Denise Inlow

This is based solely on their check in process. Two hours waiting so far with bp at stroke level and girl at desk says ..well..your stats are normal and its gonna be at least three hours! Is 190/163 normal folks?

Vincent Greene

I have been waiting here for at least four hours and others have waited longer and I have been told that there are no rooms and that there is only one doctor they need to hire more staff.....and also taking people back before you when you clearly have been here first and they keep taking them before you. Six people went back before me and my grandmother and I am not happy about this something needs to be done before you all get sued for poor service!!!!!

Like stated below you at least have to give them a 1 to write the review This place is deplorable to say the least they hide behind the faith facade Nurse Loretta on the 5th floor of tower 5 is the rudest as they come They are not color friendly whatsoever My father had to go unfortunately deal with these people and I kid you not I’m sure the good reviews are of friends and family We live 5 minutes away and we will never come to this place again I will travel hours if I have to but I will not step foot in here again I’m so upset. anyone who comes to the ER is obviously there for concerning matters and to have to be treated like 2nd class Citizens is despicable. My father went today’s with out food cuz they are so busy that’s what they kept saying we’re just so busy They did not have enough beds so they put us in the maternity ward Then we ended up on the other side of the hospital I just can’t wait to put this behind us and move on but I’d warm you find another place do not come here And maybe someone from Mercy should look at these reviews and address them.

My cousin was born there and she and my aunt had a really great service.

The staff was professional and highly efficient. They attended to every need of the patient and showed plenty of empathy. A problem for the non patent only. The vending machines and ATM machines are too far apart, plus the ATMs dispense multiples of 20 and then you have to search for change. Ugh, bring your own snacks if you're staying you support someone over night.

Honestly the worst experience at a hospital ever. I came in on Saturday morning after having sever neck shoulder and back pain for three days and not being able to move or do my job. I laid in the bed about an hour before someone got to me. Then the first doctor barely tapped on my shoulder and was said " okay I don't think it's meningitis" and walked out. Then a nurse came in took my urine sample and gave me some medicine. About an hour later a different doctor came in and told me to stretch more and use a heating pad then left. About 15 mins. later a nurse came in with discharge papers and asked if I was feeling better. I said " No I feel exactly the same" and I asked her about result from my urine test and she said " Well there was blood in your urine so it's either your period or your kidneys but we will have to wait and see" I am absolutely appalled that I sat in there for about two hours and paid $250 copay for them to tell me I had neck pain, which was my "official" diagnosis. They said we they wouldn't do any scans or testing unless it got worse. So since they didn't give me any results at the ER I am now trying to log into My Chart online to see the results from the urine sample and I can not set up my account because it is not accepting my social. I called the number on the sheet ant they verified that the hospital mis typed my social and to call them. I called them and they sent me back to the my chart number... I called the hospital back and she transferred me to someone where a guy answered. I said hello and explained that I was transferred and he said in a nasty tone "who sent you here??" I said I don't know then was transferred again and explained to that woman what was going on and was told that she couldn't help me and the people who could wouldn't be in until Monday. She said a nurse might be able to access something so she transferred me to a nurse. I explained to that nurse what was going on and he said he didn't know how to do that and transferred me to someone else. By that time I finally realized that literally no on in this entire hospital has any kind of concern for others and hung up. I am in serious pain still and have been since Thursday and it's now Sunday. My job is a very physical job and one that I don't get paid unless I'm there and haven't been able to work since Thursday. These doctors and nurses have completely disregarded any of those facts and neglected to do their job thoroughly and hopefully I don't end up getting worse because of something they just didn't have time or care to test for. I can honestly say that I am disgusted by everyone there and am baffled that they get paid as much as they do by how little knowledge and concern they show for others.

This review is based solely on registration. I have been in the same situation 3 times waiting to register for procedures. My 85 year old mother had to sit for 45 minutes per visit. Doesn't matter if we get here early can still be late for appointment waiting for clerical to check us in. On the other hand Drs and nurses are wonderful! Jami Heil and Dr. Elkhart have been professional caring and godsent. Going back to Anderson Mercy where they don't make us sit forever just waiting to check in.

Justin Powell

Got me in and out fairly quickly. Staff was very friendly!

I went there for severe pain in my side. After being seen I was sent home. I left and within a couple hours I was called and told to come back. When I returned I was charged another $100 copay. Recently I scheduled an outpatient test and received a preregistration call, at the end of the call I was told that my cost would be $518. I explained that I had called my insurance company and they told me it would be like $50. The person assured me that my cost would be $518. So I went ahead and paid the $518. When I got the statement from my insurance company it showed that I owed $0. I called and they're going to refund my money. It's lucky that I had the $518 or I would have cancelled my test. I could understand a $50 or $100 mistake but $500?

The Absolute WORST HOSPITAL IN AMERICA! The Doctors seem to have received their licenses from Walmart. The staff are so unprofessional it's ridiculous. After living in NC for the last 10 yrs and receiving care at Duke Hospital for the last 3 yrs, I told my family I would NEVER EVER be seen by ANYONE at Mercy Fairfield. I wish My Mother would move to NC with me but she refused. Hospital staff must have a serious history of theives working for them. As well as their cleaning practices are HORRIBLE. This hospital has had a "Dr. Kavorkian" type history of being a place to go and die instead of treatment and NOW I PERFECTLY SEE WHY! If I could score a negative star I would. My Mom was there for 3 weeks. Out of all her time there (1st ICU then a week in a regular room) I stayed 16 days with her overnight because she was fearful of the mistreatment.(switched out with siblings for breaks) Anybody that gives this place 5 stars is mind boggling to me.

Sara Grueninger

I just wanted to say that the Nurses and Doctors in the OBGYN Birthing Center were absolutely amazing! While I had a stay for 2 days I only had to put my call Light on once. The nurses are prompt and show empathy and concern and the Doctors took my issues seriously with concern and empathy as I have had many turn me away. An issues they didn’t have to address but did and hopefully will be able to finally take care of myself! This floor should be very proud even down to the dietary! Good job Mercy!

Kathleen Dickerson

Very professional staff and doctors. Everyone in every job level is kind, is friendly and is here to serve.I am very happy with my stay here. I am facing further surgery, and I know I will be in great hands.

Went in excited thinking that my wife's water had broken and we were finally going to get to meet our daughter. Doctor called my pregnant wife a liar when she informed her that she had been to this hospital for an ultrasound simply because they could not find it in the system. Sure enough, she found it, but not before she continued to judge and act like a child towards my wife getting to the point that she actually made her cry, telling her how terrible she is at making sure the child is okay (once again a fault on their end for not having HER records on file). Fortunately for her, we live close by and I ran home to walk the dog when this happened so I wasn't there to inform Dr. Bonar that she might want to consider a different profession. Oh, and the reason for this attitude? She said, "This is what you get for coming in on a holiday weekend." Yeah. Stay away if you can. We'll be having our daughter somewhere else where people that call themselves professionals act like adults.

Haley Lovin

Got a call 10 minutes before the office closed. Got transferred between 5 rude people and left on hold for 20 minutes after being told to call back on a number that didn’t even exist for pre admission testing. What an absolute waste of my time.

Joseph Monile

My Wife and I have been to Mercy Fairfield a number of times over the past 15 years to the ER and admitted for surgeries. In all cases we have had the best care ever. I was surprised at the bad reviews.

mike staggs

My mom's oxygen levels have dropped and I told the nurse that mom has a history of PE and I wanted her tested last week. Dr. Staggs said there was no need because the stroke she had on October 27th was causing drop in oxygen. Then yesterday Dr. Staggs ordered a scan with contrast, but mom didn't cooperate with them. I didn't know this happened until today. I talked to mom and got her to agree to scan. But now Dr. Staggs said he wouldn't order another scan. So, mom is being discharged on Friday to a skilled nursing facility without a diagnosis of why she has to be on 4 liters of oxygen. I've ask social worker to ask Dr. Staggs to order a VQ scan instead of catscan with IV contrast but he hasn't responded yet! I fearful that Dr. Staggs has sealed my mom's fate! Hopefully someone will intervene at Mercy and save my mom's life.

In April 2015, I had an unanticipated ambulance ride to Mercy for abdominal pain. I arrived and was promptly attended to and given a CT Scan within the hour. Revealed a ruptured small intestine which required immediate surgery. By now it was late in the evening. I met the nurses and surgeon who were professional and helped my panic (I have never been to a hospital or surgery before). My surgery started at midnight. I spent five days in recovery. The nursing staff was excellent, particularly the middle of the night nurse who was gentle, kind, and understanding. I felt vulnerable and fragile yet never alone. The private room was also so nice. My favorite feature was the television station with slow moving pictures of nature. It is how I got through the first painful night. Genius idea to have that for patients in recovery. My friends visited and had comfortable places to sit. I felt cared for in every way. Clean facility, good lighting, comfortable beds, kind staff, quality surgeon.

Giving Mercy 5 stars! New in town and my grandson was experiencing stomach pain, vomiting, and running a fever...Googled the nearest hospital...Mercy popped up...After dropping my daughter and grandson off, I decided to run to the gas station and fill-up...Made my way back to Mercy...Pulled up reviews to see what people had to say about Mercy and the care they've received...I sat in my car for about 25 minutes reading the reviews. Needless to say, I was horrified! At that point, I decided it would be in the best interest of my grandson to just leave the hospital and take him somewhere else...I got out my car, to enter the hospital to relay my thoughts to my daughter, to my surprise, she was walking towards me (with my grandson)...Not only had he been registered, he'd already been seen by the Doc(diagnosed w/a virus), and ready to go home! Wait time zero! Care...Topnotch...Grandson walked out with a smile on his face(and telling me about a popsicle he'd eaten :) ). Mercy gets 5 stars from me!

The Er is horrible here. I have been having issues for months and they just treat me like a POS and make me feel like I should just suck it up and hope it goes away. Apparently two month periods are normal. I wish I could give it zero stars.

I had been to 2 other hospitals, with no good results! See I'm epileptic and was having break through seizures, I'd had 5 seizures in a 3 day time period. Thee other 2 hospitals, just gave me a bolus of seizure meds and sent me on my way. Mercy Fairfield kept me for 2 1/2 days and ran every test possible, thank you Mercy Fairfield hospital

I'm lisa gray Williams.. I was admitted on July 9th.. until July 13th I have chronos and had a very bad flair up.. but this place the staff Trasporter from the beginning to end had so much compassion support love it made my stay amazing if I was to ever be hospitalized ever again it would be Mercy Fairfield..The DOCTORS DR MADONNA DR GO... Only gave 1 star because they wouldn’t let me post if I didn’t. Worst facility I have ever been to. Seen by PA which I have no problem with however attending never followed up. Here for hours just to be transferred because that can’t care for a 15 year old. Asked PA if we were ready to go he said “your still here I thought you left” not world class care at all. All bathrooms were filthy rooms no better. No patient care. Most ridiculous place I have ever been. DO NOT GO HERE. YOUR BETTER OFF DIAGNOSING YOURSELF

I Came In Here With A Pain Scale Of 8 And I'm Still Waiting For Testing . Admitted And In My Room By 9a, They Ordered My Ultrasounds At 1130a And I'm Still Waiting For Blood And Urine Results . The Nurse That Came In Was Completely Disinterested About How I Feel And Was More Worried About Getting To Lunch If I Was Going To Be Treated Like This I Would Have Drove To Cincinnati. Never Again!

I have been a cancer patient for 9 yrs., having started at IU which herded their patients in and out like cattle, I switched to OHC and Mercy Fairfield for my care. In 2014 I came out of remission, was put on the 5th floor which is the cancer floor, where I enjoyed the wonderful treatment of some of the best nurses I have ever met!! In 2017 I once again came out of remission, I had out patient surgery, which was less than perfect. My drain was pulled out while trying to dress me, and I contracted cellulitis. My Dr. admitted me, where I was put on heavy antibiotics, I also had two test ran, which showed my cancer wasn't only back but was terminal, and had spread to my lungs, bones, and liver. This hospital was so full of flu patients, I did not expect much attention, but much to my surprise although I wasn't on tower 5 at the time, but on 4, they treated me with wonderful, compassion, and kindness that I will never forget, especially my nurse on 4 Daniella, which I would love to thank from the bottom of my heart. Tower 5 which is a cancer floor, I can't begin to say enough good things about. I not only felt their compassion, but developed friendships which are still in place from some of my care givers. Hospitals are run by human beings, each with their own personalities, weaknesses and strengths. I was not happy with the out patient visit, but I will not let one bad visit change the fact that in the 4 times I have stayed there for at least 1-2 weeks each time, to say bravo to the nursing staff at this hospital, who has treated me with nothing but heartfelt kindness, and compassion. We pick our Drs. and if we have doubts about their care it is always in our best interest to find another, your Dr. should always go over all your results with you, this is not your nurses job. I ask Mercy to please work on your weakness, but except my sincere thanks for all the strengths you have, for I have thanked God for you more times than you will ever know. May God bless you as you care for the sick. Sincerely, Shirley Mays

Sat in emergency room for over three hours hadn't even been seen the excuse they give is only one doctor on staff every bed full people waiting 5 hrs to be seen. I used to praise them on there service. But now it's like there not even smart enough to call in help when they obviously need it. Never going back.

Rachel Jester

I took my mom to the ER at Fairfield and she was vomiting in the waiting room with a headache so severe like she has never had before. She doesn’t get headaches and her mom had a stroke at her age now. So that was our concern. We waited 4 hours in the waiting room while multiple people coming in after us got called back before us. I was told that there were more urgent matters. Well I work in the medical field and I could tell these people weren’t in distress. One of them was a minor leg injury! She came in 3 hours after us and left while we were still waiting! I will never, ever go back to this hospital ER!

Alexis Quillen

I had my son here in 2014 and had a wonderful experience. I just delivered my second child there this past weekend and my experience was not pleasant. I would rate the actual labor and delivery experience with 4 or 5 stars. The staff was excellent and took wonderful care of me during labor. Once I was moved to the recovery room, our experience went downhill. I was placed in a room that had bed bugs and it almost seemed like they put the blame on us. Once I informed the staff of the problem, we were moved to a labor and delivery room because the recovery rooms were full. The nurses that cared for me were very kind and helpful. Dawna was great and so helpful. She tried to move the discharge process along for me since we didn't feel comfortable staying there any longer. When we were moved to the labor and delivery room, it seemed like we were forgotten about. We were hardly checked on, our trash was not removed, etc. All because of a problem that was not our fault. I did not feel comfortable recovering, I had no sleep at all after delivering my daughter, we had to throw away all of our clothes and belongings that we brought to the hospital, in fear that we'd take bed bugs home with us. Some of the stuff we threw away was just purchased for the baby! Brand new and ruined because we were placed in a room that had not been properly cleaned and kept up. I understand that things happen, but the staff should have known if a room had bugs. The housekeeping staff must have not been doing their job properly. I am very upset with my experience and the belongings we lost due to this incident.

was forced into ambulance and taken here after a small crash against my will and they lied saying i gave consent to go and to have an x-ray done i was 16 at the time im now 17 and they took me without any consent from my mom they didn't look up my record they would not allow me out of the hospital room even though i was fine all it was, was a bump on the knee and now where still getting medical bills which is about 2000$ when there shouldn't be a bill they illegally took me from the crash and treated me without consent from my mom so i would like to add that if this garbage hospital would have pulled up my records they would have seen that only my mom can give consent to have me treated yet the called my dad and refused to tell him what was wrong with me they told him to say yes or no also my parents are divorced so he has no legal right over me and since he gave consent his insurance should be billed not my moms and really a 1200$ bill for the ER id rather die than go to this place again oh wait i had no CHOICE

Amanda Deininger

This emergency room completely let me down. I came in with pain at a 9 on a scale from 1-10, hurrying to the disgusting bathroom down the hall every few minutes when I felt I was going to throw up. I suffered through my illness in the waiting room for 2.5 hours before they even triaged me, and by then my pain was down to a 7. The entire room, which was packed when I arrived, emptied around me, including the people who came 2 hours after me (yes, I understand how an emergency room works). After 3.5 hours waiting and being told time and again that there was only one person in front of me (I watched 10 people go in), then 4 people in front of me (I watched 8 go in), and then two people in front of me (by this point I knew not to believe them), I knew that my emergency wasn't important to them. I was likely the next person in line when I left, but by then I knew they didn't care about what I was going through. If they thought my emergency was not really an emergency, they should have told me to go home instead of taking my money and wasting my time.

MY MOM HAS BEEN HERE MANY TIMES FOR HER CANCER AND KIDNEY FAILURE.. THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST MERCY HOSPITALS... I LOVE ALL THE DOCTORS, NURSING STAFF. EVERYONE IS GREAT. THEY HAVE THE BEST CLEANING CREW AS WELL. THEY KEEP THAT HOSPITAL LOOKING WONDERFUL.DIETARY AS WELL WAS WONDERFUL. NOT TO MENTION THE FOOD CHOICES SHE HAD AND SHE WAS ABLE TO ORDER ANYTIME SHE WANTED, IT WASN'T A SET TIME. MERCY HOSPITAL ARE THE BEST HOSPITALS I HAVE EVER BEEN TO..

They treat you well here but the only reason they did not get five stars is the reception/check in for the surgery center. Not very friendly welcoming you and are more interested in talking to co workers about their evening.

Liana Brock

My daughter goes to the emergency room at Mercy Fairfield because she is literally urinating blood. They run test to check for infection and the Dr. comes in and says that there is a lot of blood but no infection which makes him suspicious of kidney stones. So they do a ct scan and again find nothing.....then NP comes in and says that there is a small infection but they are treating it like its a big infection and send her home with prescriptions for antibiotics and pain killers....that is that. I cannot believe that they are content with doing a few tests and not finding anything and then sending her home without knowing what is going on. This is not the first time this has happened but also been done to my husband and my mother. "Well, we don't know what's wrong so we are just going to send you home" and they get paid huge money for this kind of diagnoses?!?

Andingo YO!

Wonderful place, saved my grandpa's life several times! Great doctors and nurses.

Father in surgery and staff leaves for the day with my mother and I waiting alone not knowing what's going on and no one to ask. Not to mention short staffed in recovery and the staff want to go home and trying to figure out how they can where you can hear them. Unprofessionally

I wish i could give negative stars. I just had to sit in this ER lobby with my wife who is suffering horrible abdominal pain for 3 hours. They finally got her in, but i refuse to go back in for the sake of not getting arrested. Horrible people work there. All they care about is their conversations in the back while people are suffering.

Madawna Osborne

I have never had a bad experience with anyone at Mercy Fairfield. The ER staff saved my life. The details are a long read so I prefer to keep them private. I will say that a non-Mercy Dr gave me a medication that I should have never been on due to underlying medical conditions. On the way home from an appt with this Dr's practice I went into respiratory failure. My husband took me to MFF. They saved my life.

Avoid this place!!! Was quoted $1290 for a procedure. Then was told after my insurance discount and if I prepay would only cost me $593. I gladly prepaid. Procedure was a disaster, didn't have anything on my file, nor any payment on record yet my HSA showed the account was drawn. Sat around waiting for them to figure this out which took about 1 hour. One month later got a bill from the cardiologist (which they told me I would) and paid that promptly. Three months later I get a bill just under $5,000!!!! When I called they told me what I had paid was an estimate and they could do nothing about it! After fighting on the phone, they said the person that sent me the estimate gave me the incorrect information and they would use it as a teaching moment so it doesn't happen in the future. Are you kidding me! After more arguing and explaining I chose them based on the estimate as I could have had the procedure done anywhere, they finally offered me 25% off, still thousands of dollars over the original estimate! Glad what I had done was minor, or they may have amputated my arm if I went in for a kidney transplant. Absolute joke. I wish there was a 0 star option.

Was brought into Fairfield Mercy via the emergency...was treated in an efficient, professional and yet caring manner. Nurse Beth was on top of my symptoms immediately. Sent to get various tests and then whisked into pre-surgery where Beth (nurse) took over and also did amazing job. ICU nurses were awesome...Tamara, Paige, Martha, Sue and Rebecca. Can not say enough good things about your hospital...everyone was encouraging and supportive

Worst hospital ever. They do not listen to you and just do whatever they please. Have never had a good experience here and will be finding a new doctor

My husband was here 4 days. He started in the ER then to surgery then the 4 floor while he recovered. We had the best care on every floor and department we entered. From the surgeons to the nurses down to the cleaning staff and everyone in between, we have no complaints, only praises!

I went in for a infection that was spreading from my ear to my chest I was explaining that I was in excruciating pain and I was having trouble breathing I was put in a pre emergency room for three hours and no one to check on me it was only after I was throwing up they came in to transfer me to the real emergency room where I sat for four hours again after all that they sent me home with antibiotics. I asked about my breathing problem and was told don’t worry about it. This is not the first time they were so bad. Lesson learned only go to this place if you want to die. If I did a job this bad I wouldn’t have a job. I went because they were close. But I will go to another hospital from here on out. If you appreciate your health stay away from this place.

My momma went in for surgery yesterday morning and I was very pleased with all the staff there. They answered any questions I had and was all very nice.

(Translated by Google) I am in the hospital and there are no rooms according to the nurse and I am in emergency with a pain as is this possible and also if I have a strong pain they never find anything important. 20 years ago I was in a car wreck on I-75, chain reaction and my airbag went off into my face. Mercy was brand new at the time and the 4 car wreck overwhelmed them. They X-rayed my neck (it was supposedly OK, but the Xray tech had no clue how carefully someone should be moved with a head injury). They put about 37 stitches in the laceration, 2nd doctor did an excellent job stitching. 1st ER doctor did not diagnose the concussion that took 4-5 months for headaches and weird head pain to stop. He also told me he wasn't worried abut a skull fracture. 20yrs later, I get a CT checking on a chronic sinus condition and my doctor said the CT showed an old skull fracture--orbital blow out was part of the name for it. I get to talk to a knowledgable ENT next month to understand what happened and see if anything needs correction. That airbag was the only thing that's impacted my face with force in the intervening years. They get 2 stars for the stitches and zero stars for not doing a simple skull Xray. I would stay away from Mercy's ER to this day.

The facility in Fairfield is very clean and staff kind , however I had a bad experience with my bill. They over charged me , and took me a lot of time to get my money refunded . That happens twice . I need to be careful every time I goes to the cashier section . I have always check my insurance claims to be sure they did not charge them and me at the same time . I’m thinking to move to another hospital .

Never go to this dump of a hospital. My grandpa is currently at this hospital going on day 5. We still have no answers and when questions are asked the answers we get are let me call the doctor and never hear back. When a doctor does finally stop by and asked if my grandpa was going to get certain tests done the answer is no it’s to dangerous, ok so what are we going to do from here, we are on day five with no improvements he looks at me and says not sure mam and walks out. Getting a nurse to come and switch over IV fluids or turn the machine off because it constantly beeps is slim to non. I asked for a nurse to come in and change him since he was soiled, no one did so my sister and I both healthcare workers gathered the items and changed and cleaned him ourselves. No one deserves care like this and if it was up to me i would have him transferred immediately. I have not one good thing to say about this hospital

B Natural

DON'T GO HERE. They diagnosed me with a pulled muscle in my neck after doing NO TESTING prescribed ibuprofen and sent me on my way. I told the doctor every symptom I had and she ignored it. Thank God I got a second opinion because it turns out I have iiH which needed an emergency lumbar puncture and was on my way to a coma if I didn't get one. Go to this hospital if you're ready to die.

Went in to the Emergency Room on Thanksgiving day due to a severe illness. Dr. Coomes was very polite and explained everything in a way I could understand, seeing as I do not have much medical knowledge. John (RN) was super courteous and easy-going. Made small talk and made it easier to consume the foul-tasting medication I desperately needed. Easily one of the most personable nurses I've ever met. Thank you again for your service and commitment to serving your community.

Nicole Marino

They treated my mother (heart attack) very well, but when I was first offered and THEN refused communion because I stated I was Christian, instead of "Catholic", I felt shunned, hurt, and terribly disappointed. What kind of a spiritual worker/employee of Mercy South refuses to acknowledge your love of GOD in a time of need and also on Good Friday! The spiritual staff at Mercy South should be ashamed for hurting a fellow human being who loves GOD.

Dustin Dixon

Disappointing and costly. Waited for over 4 hrs to get a strept throat test done. It cost me about $1,500 between the hospital and the doctor (whom I saw for literally less than 10 min). Go somewhere else.

I would not even give them the 1 star, but thats the only way i could post a review. In a quick summary regarding the facility and staff. Rude, ignorant, uneducated, filthy, lazy, do not use time efficiently for a hospital, down right amadons.(gaelic) I went twice in a 3 days for a distended stomach. They did no x-rays, nothing for my pain. Just told me i gastro issues...Therefore lack of care = laziness or stupidity. They should know, i have chronic pancreatitis. My third attempt for help for my extreme pain and huge destended stomach, i went to West Chester Medical Center where i was rushed into surgery because i had a volvulous. (my intestines were tied up and about to burst) So, I would never ever go to that hen house again.

In June 2015, I had emergency surgery at Mercy Health - Fairfield Hospital and was extremely satisfied with the excellent service of Dr. Mohamed Dahman, the nurses in the ICU, the nurses on the surgery wing, as well as the housekeeping services. They all provided excellent, attentive care.

Worst hospital I’ve ever been to. Only hospital I’ve ever been to that I had to wait to even get into a room. Been here 3 hours, got a CT scan done on my head and stuck me BACK in the waiting room. I just want my CT scan results so I can leave. I’ll finish the blood work somewhere else.

Meghan Aldredge

This hospital is no better than a band aid station. I'm not pleased with the care I received and wouldn't go back even if my life depended on it. I went there for an ankle injury. The nurses that were caring for me never gave me their name, I had to ask where they put me so that my dad could meet me in my room. They came and took x-rays but I never saw them, I had a charge nurse (whos name was never given to me) tell me that i had a fracture and that was it. I spent a total of about 3 hours there and in those 3 hours I was presented with one person after another that was rude and didn't know how to do their job. Communication between staff was poor and there was obviously some type of outside tension amongst professionals. This is only receiving 2 stars for cleanliness of the hospital and the care that I received from the EMTs that took me there.

Linda J Garrett

Very uncomfortable waiting room waiting on the arrival of my granddaughter. There is a nurse in the corner, I assume on her lunch, holding a loud conversation on her cell on speaker phone. It's been going on for at least 15 minutes. VERY RUDE!

The worse experience ever, worse doctor, WORSE hospital! WILL NEVER GO BACK! Took my mother to emergency. Had to tell doctor how to do her job. Found out mother had blood clot in leg. She was in so much pain and her leg was very swollen. They gave her a shot of blood thinners and told us to go home and come back the next day for ultrasound. It took 4 to 5 people to get her in car in 20 degree weather. All she did was scream from the pain, but they forced her in the car anyway. She is almost 80 years old. I consider this elderly abuse and malpractice.

Mercy is a terrible place to take your loved one!! We brought a family member here for head trauma and he was diagnosed with hemorrhage in the brain!!!! Transferred him to UC for treatment and that was incorrect. Only natural causes calcium overgrowth of his skull. Not hemorrhaging!!!! This place is horrific—stay away

I would rather die on the cold, filthy pavement than EVER step foot into this place again. While the nurses are AMAZING beyond words, the doctors are seriously of questionable nature. Dr. Emily M. Simpson whose specialty is infectious disease, is no more than an immature valley girl. She tsked in disgust and stated “I hate feet” and then went on to describe how “grossed out” she was and how nasty my injury was. Who the h*ll does that? Not a professional, that’s for sure. Then there were the doctors in Wound Care. Dr. Dahman is a rude and condescending jerk. He knew nothing about me, didn’t read my chart and came full throttle at me with all sorts of negative statements and accusations. Another wound care doctor told me, “stay off your feet, quit your job.” Like that was a frigging option??? What sort of delusional idiot says that to someone? Only one was ever decent to me and even he ended up sending me to a butcher (“a good friend” he called him) who botched my surgery and as a result, I now have PTSD. Also, the ER doctor that first saw me for the injury that started this all, told me I couldn’t afford wound care, gave me ointment, gauze and sent me home. I would go to Christ, UC or practically ANY other medical facility.

If you are having surgery or a procedure here, you are in terrific hands. Based on the skill and ability of the inpatient staff, I would give Mercy 5 stars. HOWEVER, if you need to come in for outpatient testing, this location deserves a 1 star rating! No matter when I come in for labs or a chest xray, the patient registration department always have a 45+ minute wait. THERE IS NO REASON ON EARTH FOR IT TO EVER TAKE 45 MINUTES OR MORE TO GET REGISTERED TO GET ANYTHING DONE! I have voiced my concerns to the heads of registration and over the course of 6 months, they have done NOTHING to change this situation. Nor do they EVEN care when I tell them that in essence I am being turned away from getting a chest xray that my dr wanted done same day because I don't have an hour and half to sit there. So doctors, nurses, patient care staff are all wonderful! Clerical side of this place is a nightmare. I will go elsewhere for my testing.

The physicians and nurses at this hospital know nothing about chronic fatigue syndrome. I should've stayed home. I sincerely hope they decide to appropriately educate their staff.

Your reviews are abysmal and now it's revealed that your neglect killed Niel Armstrong years ago when replacing his pacemaker

I think these people judge you based on you look like when it comes to if your in pain!! My level was a 10!!! If I needed moltrin, i know where to go!! I not at a hospital because it's fun!!! Then I waited forever. I wouldn't go back if it were the last hospital!!! That's why i got to West Chester !!

This location is not black friendly! From parking people entry desk, and full staff is no black people friendly. When looking at everyone, seeing religion on walls, and experience the walk around and not speak. Was bad! Even going into Cafe area. They won't even make eye contact with you. I never stay where I'm not welcome. I don't even spend my money either.

My daughter delivered a baby at this location and only two nurses made her feel excited and welcome this is my daughter's first child she was very disappointed and it made my heart hurt.- delivery After delivery she was placed in the other side at the hospital on the 4th floor and every nurse as well as the head nurse was not friendly. My daughter felt like they were just doing their job and they were not happy with the job. I personally had a cold feeling from the negative unfriendly staff members from parking my vehicle walking into the hospital now one staff member would even say hello they wouldn't even look at you face-to-face make eye contact or anything. Not black friendly. It was sad to see how beautiful the location was and the appearance of a religion connection and yet no one will speak to you because you were black.

The wait time isn't bad. But they told me to go somewhere else to find out what's wrong with me and gave me pain meds and sent me home without even trying to find the problem. They literally told me they couldn't do any imaging on my back. As if there isn't a single person that can read an mri or an x-ray and know what they are looking at. This is the 2nd time they've done this DO NOT GO HERE!!

My child was born at Mercy Fairlfield on Fathers day. She swallowed a fair amount of light mec fluid and had frequent choking episodes where she turned blue the next couple days as she was working up the fluid in her stomach. My husband and I stayed up to keep an eye on her because the episodes were almost silent, if you weren't standing right on top of her you would never know. So we decided with great hesitance to place her in the nursery the day we were to be discharged in the early am to get a little sleep. I went to get her 2 1/2 hours later to be told by the day shift nurse my daughter had never come to the nursery. I had rounded the corner when I heard her call my name. She was wheeling my daughter out of the nursery apologizing and extremely upset. She explained someone had wheeled my daughter in and pulled a breastfeeding privacy curtain around her....she had been on duty for an hour and a half and had no idea she was in there. She also never received report on my daughter. My daughters diaper was full, poop stuck to her behind and thank god if she did indeed have her choking episode she was able to recover without difficulty. I reported it to the manager who assured me there was no way this could happen but would look into it nonetheless. A few hours later we are approached by the pediatrician on duty who smiles and says "I heard about the little mishap in the nursery earlier. If it makes you feel any better there were plenty of nurses around, if your daughter would have made a noise they would have heard it". No that does not make me feel better, as I explained to multiple nurses, the choking episodes were silent at times. The nurse manager then comes in to explain that she notified several nurses (Keeping the night shift nurses awake a lot longer than they would have liked. As if I care about their sleep at this point) and yes she had been left in there unattended with a curtain around her but if it makes me feel any better there were nurses around and would have heard any noise had she made any. I don't know why I'm told this again. It does not make me feel any better as I continue to inform them her choking episodes are usually silent...which is why my husband and I have stayed awake for 2 days to keep a constant eye and get her suctioned immediately. Never did I receive an apology until I requested to file a grievance. I could go on but just beware...The nursing staff are rude...don't go here!!
