This hospital has the rudest staff I have ever seen! The security guard was so rude and nasty to the person in front of me. I stood looking at the man at the information booth for a good 5 minutes while he chatted with his co worker And didn't even acknowledge I was there. When he finally decided to to take a moment to see what I needed he didn't even speak. He only looked at me. They make you feel very unwelcome and as you are a bother to them. When you walk in the door you can feel the negativity. I will never allow any of my family go here again.

Terrible excuse of a hospital. The way this hospital is ran is the worst i have ever been treated. Go anywhere else! I was left with a heart matter, that felt like a heart attack, for 45 minutes in the waiting room. After my heart stopped doing what it was doing they took me back and put a monitor on my heart. Nothing. They charged me thousands for a number to a specialist that i cant afford, with zero guesses as to what was wrong

Wonderful! This hospital has first rate staff. First rate trauma care. I had a heart attack in 2014. I went to Grant by choice. Received EXCELLENT care. Recently there for testing. Staff is always accommodating and caring. The hospital cafe is top notch. Doctors actually spend time with you and answer questions. Great place!

I never go to Grant. I WILL NEVER GO AGAIN! I hurt my lower back on Saturday, I tried to stick to my daily routine. Then Thursday it was so bad it was shooting pain down the back & front of my legs, my toes were getting numb, I couldn't sit. All I can do is stand. They sent me from the ER to the clinic for xray (so they said). I got over there - no xray........ They gave me a muscle relaxer shot & a muscle relaxer prescription. The shot didn't help at all!!!!!!! How would they know? They did nothing to check me out!! I feel no better than I did when I walked in there 3 hrs prior! & they call themselves a hospital/medical center!!?? This place is a JOKE!!!! I blame some of it on the pain pill epidemic....... They are so afraid to treat people! I would have gladly peed in a cup so they could see I am not an addict! I think it's ridiculous they will bill my insurance some insane amount for absolutely NOTHING........ I should bill them for wasting 3hrs of my life! So yesterday 5/25 I went to Mt Carmel in Grove City. They gave me a steroid drink a steroid prescription & told me to use an ice pack (Grant told me to use a heating pad). Mt Carmel told me heat would make it worse! & I will tell you if Grant would have treated me as Mt Carmel did I would be on my way to recovery a day sooner! Today I am not 100% however my pain is tolerable & I believe in a few days I will be back to my normal activity (with some small restrictions).

Great hospital. Wonderful staff. My daughter was born here and we are very thankful to Grant Hospital and their staff for making our first child experience special.

The nurses are what make this place. Good service but it sometimes takes a few minutes to be seen. I accompanied my friend here after he was assaulted and he got patched up good. I once came needing just crutches and it took twenty minutes.

Saul Bleaeck

Very efficient emergency room. Helpful and compassionate care.

Worst hospital is Grant. Go to Riverside. No communication, no follow through, doctors don't speak to other doctors or read charts. This is the worst experience anyone can go through.

Instead of helping assisting my girlfriend who had been in a car accident, they all messed around in the commons area and sang songs. At 2 in the morning. It took an hour and a half to get assistance, all just to get cleared to leave. (And this was hours after we had got her results)

Everyone was amazing! We went to another hospital first but the Dr wanted to send my husband home after an accident he had we wiated 2 1/2 hours for the Dr to decide. We decided to drive to Columbus to Grant Hospital (1.5 hrs away)! Let's just say I'm thankful that I did take him. Plastic / Hand surgeon at Grant did amazing!! Everyone did an amazing job of keeping us all calm and knowing what was going on. Thanks for all you did!

Rude nurses dont even know how to find a vein.

During shift change of the nursing staff, my father was neglected from his care and he'd just came out of surgery. I had to hunt someone down to care for him and the person that ultimately did, turned down the flow of flushing so it wouldn't have to be cared for as regularly as needed. I'm livid as i'm watching his flushing go from pink to punch color (more blood). My point is, if there's a system designed to be monitored for efficiency THEN MONITOR IT CORRECTLY!! Quality of care is going to hell and this place is proof.

The worst hospital in Columbus my mom came in a ambulance with really bad stomach pain they checked her in then put her in the lobby to wait for 2 hours ask two nurses how long till my mom get’s a room they looked at me like I was dumb then said I don’t know the hospital was just nasty. She won’t be coming back at all

I'm not sure where people are finding rude staff here? I've been to most of the hospitals in and around Columbus as my parents and myself are getting up in age. This was my first visit here and every person I encountered from the valet to the surgeon were by far the most friendly and accommodating. Rudeness begets rudeness. Thank you to everybody that helped me and my family today!

My friend had a allergic reaction and left her there without water since she was puking. She had to stay in the waiting room and only saw a nurse. And it was disgusting

Awful awful hospital. Only care about not being sued. Staff are horribly inappropriate in the ER especially someone named “dan”. Sexually harassed 3 different women on one shift I observed. Talked about patients and doctors disparagingly. No common sense in this place at all. Absolutely only care about money and not being sued. Stay away if you can.

I always thought between this hospital, and Riverside, I would be delivering my first child at one of the two because I had always heard such great things about both. Grant is also sentimental to me because both my sister and I were born here. My sister just had her first baby (my first nephew) a few days ago unexpectedly, and now I live 6 hours away from Columbus, so my fiancé and I made the last minute trip back home to meet him, obviously happy and excited. The hospital overall is very clean, they have free valet service, the nurses that had been around were so friendly, and I highly respect the level of safety implemented at the hospital. There is a button to push where you speak to the nurse station, and let them know certain information to get in. When we initially arrived, we were fully prepared to give the name and password to be let in, but as soon as we gave the name, they let us in right away (our family has been there for three days now and will be there a while longer due to the baby). My fiancé and I were there for a few hours with my family chatting and catching up, when my fiancé decided to run down to an ATM on another floor to be able to tip the valet driver. When he came back, he pressed the button and gave the same info as before, and they would not let him in. He gave me a call, and my Mom and I were already by the door so we said we’d just come get him. Another group of people came up to give their info, and they were let in so my fiancé walked in with them and my mom went up to him and started talking to him when a nurse came over right away with a very antagonistic stance/attitude, and told him he could not come in. My mom explained that he was the brother in law, and that he was just in here. My fiancé stated that he had given the info three times and they wouldn’t let him in, so as he was leaving I told him the password to make sure he had it correct. Then the nurse asked, “did you just tell him the password?!” And I told her yes but not to worry because we were just going to leave. I was shocked about how disrespectful she acted towards my fiancé and my mom because the other nurses so far had been so nice. I wasn’t able to say goodbye to my sister or see the baby before I left, which was a bummer since we just have one more day in Columbus. Also, security showed up right after we left. It turned such an exciting and happy weekend into one that was upsetting and frustrating. At the end of the day, I understand the security, especially when you watch the news every day, but I do not appreciate the disrespect towards my loved ones, and apparently other people there noticed it as well, and the level everything was taken to definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. It’s true that when multiple things go right, but one ridiculous/negative thing happens, the negative thing stays with you more than the positive. Eventually we would like to move back but one place I will not go to for anything is Grant unless I absolutely have to.

Depeneds, my mom and dad were in a car accident and sent to the trama center. My mom got a cat scan, and 20 minutes later (not even enough time to read the results) the gave her the papers and said "your fine leave" her back is badly bruised and cut along the spinal cord. My dad however, got stitches along his tattoo and the lined up the tattoo perfectly. They gave us donuts, and even got an extra mattress for my mom to stay. But they only let one person stay, and no one under 18 can stay. I'm 11, very mature, quiet, and do my best to help clean up. They kicked me out at 11:00 bc i was under 18, had to wait, OUTSIDE, for 3 hours before someone could get me

This is the most horrible hospital in Columbus...how did riverside ever merge with them? They think everyone who comes in yhe door is homeless. Shame on themfor having people wait 4 hours to be seen in the Emergency Room. Their staff us terrible...and their securtiy is even worse! Someone should investigate their patient care

Debbie Curtis

Morgan, the nurse on the fifth floor can't be beat. She is knowledgeable, patient, kind, attentive, and knows how to calm a patient's nerves. Mom and I feel blessed to have had her for Mom's care at Grant.

If you are sick and need real care this is the place to go.

My Mom Just Had A Heart Attack And They Will Not Connect Me To A Room This Is The Worst Hospital In Columbus And They Want Your Loved Ones And Friends To Die

Sarah Burgess

I had the worst experience of my life at this hospital yesterday. I'm 12 weeks pregnant and was experiencing severe abdominal pain, the worse pain of my life. I called an ambulance and they forced me to go to Grant. When I got there, everything was super unorganized. 3 different nurses attempted to draw blood, not knowing that it had already been done. Afterwards they sent me to the lobby, where I sat next to a man who had his shirt on backwards and was covered in human feces. For 2 hours I wanted in the lobby while throwing up and bleeding. When I was finally called back it was to a registration room, where they asked me to pay out of pocket before being seen. I left the hospital and went to another hospital, where I was rushed back and had an ultrasound down. I had a tear in my large intestine, and may have died from sepsis had this hospital treated me the way Grant did.

Super rude and unproffesional. Worst hospital i've been to in my life!!!

Sasha Matúš

This is the worst hospital in Columbus. The mere fact that it's called a hospital is a cruel joke. I have a close family friend that was surgeon here and he would joke about how unprofessional this place was after he retired and he agreed the ER was the worst. If you have an emergency or need an ambulance, request another hospital. You don't want to go here unless you want to sit for 9 hours in a tiny little room that's filthy and then be seen for 5 mins and discharged with a referral for primary care. There phlebotomist are the worst. You'll leave there looking like an addict that's done a stint on skidrow. I don't even know how this place hasn't shut down yet. It's that BAD
