If you care about you or your families health dont go here. They are engaging in calculated fraud against the midwest. They recommend what makes them the most money not what makes you healthy. They will shift the blame to you when asked why you had to see 4 different doctors to be given the most basic diagnosis. This isnt medicine its malicious fraud. I wouldnt trust my pet animals here after what they did to me and those closest to me.

The Urgent Care Walkin at Sanford's new Hospital is a disgrace. I've been there twice in the past 5 months and both times, after waiting over an hour after checking then finally going to the front desk and asking how much longer i would have to wait, I was told "Probably another hour to an hour and a half." The galling part is the people at the check desk could care less--their attitude is "All the E.R. rooms are full soif you want to leave you have to sign out." I walked out both times and went to my regular doctor the next morning. For a hospital to spend $500 million in building this facility and then to offer this horrendous level of service is outrageous. in their E.R. is a disgrace. I'll never return

Brought my 2 year old in with high fever dry cough vomiting and cold clammy hands and feet AND breathing problems... they’re solution sit us in a room for an hour and half walk in give Motrin, that it’s PROBABLY viral and discharge! No real physical, no blood work, no tests ran! And I should mention her temp was 104 Called Essentia and was told to bring her in and they’ll run tests TO SEE if it’s viral or bacterial! Thank God my insurance allows me to choose any ER

They told us to come here after my son’s accident and once we were here we waited 7 hrs in er waiting for surgery, which did not end up doing. Instead they opted to clean his wounds without putting him under like they were suppose to have done. My son was in terrible pain and it was the worst bedside manner I have ever seen! I wouldn’t recommend bringing your dog here! Ridiculous

My rating is on one individual nurse. I came in for a heart procedure and was assigned to a fantastic lady named Brittany. No idea what her last name is. She was the epitome of a caring, kind, and very helpful nurse. She was personable and we often talked for the two days I was in there. The hospital does have its share of flaws, it was recently opened. But, if you are as lucky as i was to be blessed by Brittany, you will understand what im talking about. Thank you Brittany whoeveryouare!

My father came into the ER from a medication overdose, they spent more time trying to get his information than getting him to a room and treated for. He was barely conscious and totally lost with everything so he could not respond and give the check in lady his information, and when I tried giving her the information, she still couldn’t find him in the system. After that struggle, we finally got into a room where he was hooked up and needles got stuck into him, the nurse was very rude and borderline yelled at my dad trying to command him on what to do and how to act. My dad could not control himself and flinched/moved at the pain but instead of the nurse acting calmly and trying to calm him down, she kept yelling at him and threatened to call security (since he was also swinging his arm around due to the pain) Once he got hooked up, nobody really told us anything, if he was dying, if he would be okay or not, if they needed to do anything out or flush his stomach out. Nothing. Speaking of which, they never even did flush out his stomach or get rid of the toxins in his body. All they did was monitor his heart. Eventually they decided to take him to the other Sanford on Broadway, I’m not sure why they did, I wasn’t around for that part. But once I met up with him at the second hospital, they had him once again, hooked up to monitors, no info on what’s going on or if he’s stable or not. (which he wasn’t by any means) We received no information or updates. No water or food was given to him since first being admitted, and at this point, 7 hours had gone by. It wasn’t until my mother demanded they treat him better and give him at-least water or wash his mouth since it had been very dry from the medication. As well as putting in an IV that would feed him, that’s when they started doing things and actually made an effort, but it didn’t last long until he was left again with nobody but a nurse who had to monitor him through-out the night, and to that male nurse, thank you, you were the only kind and reassuring person through-out this whole experience, I wish I could thank you personally. All the other nurses had thick accents and barely spoke or understood english, so that wasn't very helpful.) After a night of staying at the hospital and no updates or anything done to him, he eventually started remembering things and was in a stable mindset and started getting fed later in the day. But throughout all of that, nobody ever gave us clear updates or information on what was going on, nobody treated it like an emergency that it was. I could’ve lost my dad in this situation. I don’t know why they didn’t take things as seriously as I did. So thanks sanford, for absolutely nothing.

I just received a bill in the mail from Sanford. I called to inquire about since they said it was being sent to collections. I found that they sent the first billing statements to an address I hadn't lived at in over 20 years then one shows up today.... No explanation offered as to how that happened since we hadn't ever gone to Sanford when I lived at the old address.No apology either just pay your bill.We've had multiple billing issues with them and bottom line is returning to Essentia even though its a cross town drive.

Family came in with adult and pediatric trauma. From the first minute we received exceptional patient focused nursing, multidisciplinary treatment including instant access to subspecialty physicians and a injury/age specific care team. Though each facility has its ups and downs, I am very grateful to have access to the trauma and specialty services available so close to home.

This is the second time I’ve been here and have waited almost 4 hours to be seen this is outrageous honestly, I try to avoid hospitals but when I have to come I do. I’ve sat in here and people who came after me have gotten a room before me I honestly feel discriminated worst hospital ever. Plus when I actually saw the doctor he didn’t even look at me and couldn’t tell me what’s wrong even when I had a pre existing condition.

This emergency place is worst ever waiting 2 hour for first call and the doctor and nurse are rude I was seen for leg allergies and I had lots pain both my leg can't even able to stand they just make me sleep for 4 hour doing nothing discharged me no helpful they suppose to help walk me out the door but they just leave me alone they don't care anything besides making money.

Nurses are terrible at coming to help someone in a timely manner. Not very friendly. Other reviews are spot on, they don't care about cleaning the rooms at all. I'm very dissatisfied.

NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY!!! my 3 kids and I were kicked out because they didn't want us to stay the night with their father. Nurse was cold, rude and singled me out due to our being broke status. My husband and I and our children are a family and their father who is still there on the 5th floor has never been away from them. My kids are devastated and I not only left crying but am still crying and upset and we live over an hour away one way and they pretty much told me not to come back since they will provide a taxi if he ever gets out.

Went here to get an endoscopy. I was told I could have it 1/2/19never got it and was told early morning 1/3/19, it’s now almost 2 pm 1/3 and no one has come checked on me, my iv bag is empty and machine has been beeping for a half hour, presses the nurse button multiple times and no one has come. Multiple doctors that I don’t even know what they do or why they are checking my breathing and heart keeps coming in. Maybe at 9 different doctors now. Saw the surgeon once and haven’t seen him again. Signed papers for surgery at 8 am this morning and still waiting. Asked for an estimate time, and they said they didn’t know and said the doctor isn’t even here! Wouldn’t recommend this place. Very very slow and can hardly understand the nurses and doctors. They have heavy accents and one didn’t even speak English. Update: finally got the surgery at 5 pm 1/3. Told me I could eat food and never changed my diet to regular and had to go through different people to do that, room service was rude. Asked for food and they kept saying I wasn’t allowed. Kept calling back to see if it was changed and they’d interrupt me multiple time. Took me 5 mins to even say what I wanted cuz they kept interrupting me.

Came in 3or 4 patients in ER.Sat here 3 hrs just to get blood drawn.So if come here for ermergency think about going someone else. One star is to much.over three hours we will be leaving .Fargo better hope nothing happens while driving him to another hospital .

Billing issues! Horrible! If your insurance doesn't cover 100% of your bill you better be able to pay off the full balance asap! I was making weekly payments on time every week and I was a few weeks from paying it off and they sent me to collections. My family will be going to Essentia from here on out. They at least work with you if you can't afford to pay your bill in full.

(SR. CITIZEN REVIEW) Very nice facility. I was impressed with valet parking. Even though it was a nice parking lot, having valet was a nice touch. Lots of handrails and of course a new building is always great!

I've been sitting here 2 hours with a 2 year old with possible appendicitis! She's having episodes of blood curdling screams, 102 temp, and intense shaking. We saw a nurse over an hour ago, but still waiting to get called back to the Dr. I could've kept her home at this rate, waited for walk in to open and gotten seen quicker than this. I'm to a point of where I'm about to freak out and tell someone we need to go back now due to her intense pain waves!

The ER was so slow on 8/1/17 that people were walking out after two hours without seeing a provider. We waited roughly two hours before seeing a doctor. The ER doctor was great once we saw him but the wait time was equivalent to a walk in clinic.

Do not go here for emergency care I went in for possible heart issue and blood pressure had sored they never took me back until almost 2 hours after I had been there the dr was not professional never hardly talked to my wife or I. I also had 3 intances where I had a seizure type situation and they did nothing about and showed no concern to my wife or I I did not get realeased until 3 am almost 6 hours later which is ridiculous I was asked at my primary dr appointment why they never ran an eco or did more and then they I asked to have it reviewed no one calls to ask my opinion or questions they state "it was reviewed and we deem charges appropriate" nice investigation what a joke I would rather die at home then go back there!!!!!!!! wish I could give negative stars

First experience at this hospital. Mom had back surgery, we brought two of her grandkids to see her because we are a very close family. Grandkids are 2 and 4 years old, staff was rude and annoyed. Should have a play area for kids or something. However, a few staff were exceptional and very kind, also interactive. One even helped my nephew wash his hands. :) But most were rude and stared...

Billing department is the worst of all. Snotty attitudes from many of the hospital personnel. I attempted calling to sort out a bill, was placed on a 15 minute hold, and told they would not wait a couple minutes for me to find my authorization. After the lady on the other line finished with her condescending speech on why she couldn’t wait for me, I had found and provided the authorization. Do not recommend. I’ve had far less issues with Essentia Health. Hospital appeared clean and quiet, so it gets two stars.

Medical Billing is useless. I had a bill submitted incorrectly to my insurance, had my nurse correct the referral and was sent another bill. I called Sanford again and the nurse called down to the medical biller who stated that she would resubmit the corrected claim. The account is now in collections. I called again and was told that medical billers do not talk to patients. So once again I am calling the nurse. I was lied to by the medical biller because the claim was not submitted to my insurance. I'm not sure why their medical billers no not do their jobs correctly and why they are not held accountable.

The emergency room doctor and staff were great. I shot myself with a nail gun and was close to freaking out. The nurses kept me calm. I accidentally kicked one nurse in the shoulder and she was very kind about the whole thing. Took son here for a head injury this week. The doctor was possibly the kindest and most sincere I've had the good fortune to meet. The admission staff and the triage nurse were very kind and professional. By far the best hospital (emergency room) I've been to. I wish I knew the doctor's name, he looked about 20 but he was exceptional in his bedside manner.

Yikes. Can I give a ZERO stars?? Could not get help in the ER on a Monday early eve! Waitied and hour. Got short help, then was told it would be another 1.5 to 2 hour wait!! My arm was numb, and I watched another man who was basically having a heart attack...but still sat in the waiting room for 2 hours!! ONE employee in the ER waiting room...and he was kind of an ass. With phrases like 'youre just going to have to wait', and 'if we took back all the patients that SAID they had a heart problem, then we would be taking back everyone!'. I HAVE a heart condition...and I'm thinking the man across from me holding his chest and struggling for 2 hours may have had one as well. I finally left and went to Essentia. It was only THEN that Sanford ER was interested. But only to tell me to fill out some forms! Umm...thats a big F.U. to your careless new hospital!

Split and broke my toe today and have been waiting at the er for a hour and a half already. And there have been multiple people who came before me that are still waiting. This is beyond ridiculous. I don't understand why sanford is so slow compared to essentia. Canceling my insurance through sanford and going back to essentia. This is so horrible

Very good staff, very nice facility, but who ever picked out furniture in waiting rooms should be kicked in the nuts! I think the furniture was actually engineered to be completely uncomfortable, and ya, no parking ramp , this place is second only to the fargo airport for the worst walk in the cold frickin wind. Anyways keep up good work.

Waited 2 hours in the emergency room to be seen. I was crying and moaning uncontrollably in pain in the waiting room. Lying on a couch because my back wouldn’t allow me to sit or stand. Waited another 2 hours inside the room. Still no doc, still no meds to stop the pain. Medical team refused to listen to me and insisted that they knew what I needed and decided to run tests over top of what I had already told them. They would not listen to me. They Attempted to “admit me” and I ended up staying in the ER for over 24 hours due to “lack of beds”. Was in excruciating pain and crying, writhing and gasping on a bed while a doctor told me there was nothing he could do for me as my condition wasn’t bad enough to warrant an emergency surgery (I have a herniated disc that’s pinching nerves down my legs) and that he could continue to manage my symptoms. Yet refused any more IV medication because I wasn’t truly “admitted”. The ONLY bright light was my nurse that tried her best to stand up for me to the doctor but her hands were tied with medical red tape. I will forever be grateful for her trying to do the right thing and going up against a doctor that was adamant his way was the only way. I will NEVER endorse this hospital and will advise everyone I know and love to be aware that they have to protect themselves when they are there.

My 77 year old mother fell and broke her hip was in ER over 5 hours waiting for a room Surgery was supposed to be that day made her lay on her back for 30plus hours only time staff check on her was when a family member called them or had to go find them Pain meds were PRN Come on ! A broken HIP! Now what if she would have been ' alone!! OMG HORRIBLE THOUGHT it was torturus enough to watch !

Endoscopy takes days to set up an urgent appointment for an eus/ercp to remove a mass in a common bible duct. The only reason we are using Sanford is because Essentia doesn't do the procedure. Have called and asked about the appointment 2 days in a row, the nurses say they will call you back but don't. They say they are waiting to hear from the doctor. So these doctors go days without answering their nurses, as well as not responding to them? I worry that when we do make the appointment they will some how hurt my family member by negligence.

My wife had Kidney Stones and we wen't to the ER at 6am because there were no urgent care centers open at the time. Having had kidney stones before and received proper painkillers (not $45 baby aspirin) the doctor promptly ignored my wife who clearly described having severe pain and offering the overpriced aspirin alone. After having a cat-scan and blood work done we were sent away as the stones had passed and there was only gravel left. My wife could barely stand but still we received no additional aid beside giving her another warm blanket. Three days later my wife had developed a urinary track infection and was again horribly sick. We discussed how we needed antibiotics and would need a prescription to get them. I went to get her painkillers while she was trying to set up another appointment (at another location) to get the antibiotics we needed when Sanford finally contacted us and informed us that they finally got to looking at the blood work and thought we might need to get antibiotics we had 30 minutes that day left to make it to a pharmacy and get them. I was getting the painkillers at this time and so my wife had to drive herself to the pharmacy to hope to make it in time. Shortly after all of this we received our enormous bill (cat-scans cost an arm and a leg.) Zero stars, would not recommend.

Terrible terrible terrible all I need to say. I was there tonight 3 hours. No one got called back. Nurses flirting with security's guards. Pizza was orded for nurses and all i seen. Go someplace else. There are no good hospitals in Fargo.
