These are events which happen in the last 12-18 months. My son has to take medication every day in order to stay alive. He was admitted to Washington County Hospital and later discharged. About 7 days later he had to be readmitted because my son had been taken off one of the medications needed to keep him alive. My sons medical records went with my son both times he was admitted to the hospital. The records showed my sons medical history and the medications he need when he was admitted to the hospital both times. Even though his records spelled it out in plan English the emergency room doctor almost killed my son. I didn't sue because I know people make mistakes.

I went to a primary care physician at their clinic in Creswell. On top of his bill, which at $168, is reasonable, the gigged me for nearly $500 for 2 tests and a short visit with a PA. I know they have serious shortfalls because the vast majority of their patients are on Medicade which doesn't pay squat, but don't force those of us with real insurance to make up the difference. I like the doctor, but that will be my last visit unless they straighten this out. Ridiculous.

Plymouth hospital have some of the geatest doctors and nurses. They are v ery professional with caring attitudes for their patients and family .

. staff was great and told us what was going on all the time when my mother got admitted with pneumonia last week. She did real well and left doing better. Looked like new people since coming awhile back and they were all real helpful.

This hospital reopened, be forewarned however you should still drive to another hospital. They provide no care and charge enormous amounts for minimal care. The check-in used to be in an old janitor closet. THIS HOSPITAL IS CLOSED!! To anyone that may read this during a trip to the OBX or coming to the area for the local boat races as a spectator or participant or even someone whose children participate in local sports BEWARE. If you suffer a significant medical event your options for care are 30-45 minutes away, and those options are a poor excuse for a hospital. The closest hospital with acceptable care is in Greenville over an hour away. The hospital in Williamston that is the next closest to Plymouth only has one doctor on duty. If there ever was a need for a mass trauma like a 2 vehicle accident your options are limited and the delayed response and lack of doctors in the area will most likely cause your demise. I am a resident of the area, I have never seen such inept, backwards thinking people in my life. Washington County hospital has been involved in fraudulent billing practices, even if they were open you would not want to go there.
