We have been in the emergency area for over an hour, and still not entered for treatment/diagnostic. Only took vital signs about 45 minutes ago. I understand they are full, but still not excuse for slow service.

Rasheeda Harrington

It doesn't even deserve the star Google makes you give them!!! I'm so freaking upset right now and what I really want to write I will not BUT... This place should be SHUT DOWN until it can run properly and people are being taken care of and trained properly....this is ridiculous. And that is the bottom line.

Spent a night at Scotland Memorial due to a broken leg which required surgery by Dr. Rush. I received excellent care by all the nursing staff. I couldn't have asked for better care. Thanks Scotland Memorial for a full recovery!!

Kat Tharrington

The Nurses on the 2nd Floor are Awesome ... The Dr. JAQULIENE THOMPSON SHE NEEDS TO BE RELOCATED SHE MAKES THIS HOSPITAL LOOK TERRIBLE. .

Over the years I have noticed a tremendous improvement with the quality of care in the ER and critical care unit. I have heard multiple accounts from friends and family members who have experienced top-notch care. This hospital is not huge, so of course there will be a wait...but you can tell the doctors and medical professionals here are working very hard to improve patient quality of care! I would recommend this hospital to anyone!

My 90 year old mother has had the most wonderful experience with Scotland Health Care. All the staff, even housekeeping, treated her with respect and dignity. The doctors and nurses could not have been better, even if we had been at Duke!! All I have is praise for a group of professional people who do give excellent care!

Could not have been treated better. On time, explained procedure, performed the scans, and after some explanation of same I was out of there.

I travel the country for work and this is the worst hospital I've ever been to. Only up side is the nurse was very friendly. Would give it zero stars if I could.

TJ Wright

This is the worst hospital i have ever seen. They need to be shut down if they can't do any better than this...

This hospital is nasty the bathroom even my nurse she didn't even use gloves when she put my IV in and layed my needle right on the table with nothing up under it and put the needle right in my arm without cleaning the area with alcohol Smh only in Scotland county I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there

It is not the perfect hospital, but over the years it has been very good to my family and to me. I have had two surgeries, my wife had two babies, both my sons have had surgery, my grandaddy and grandma have been serviced by this hospital and every time I have ever been to the ER , I have been seen quickly. My son was in an aweful accident and we were very pleased with the ER. Are all the employees wonderful all the time, no, but after some of the things I have heard some patients say to these medical staff, give them a break. Learn some patience and some respect when you go there, and you will be treated the same. I am proud of how far our hospital has improved. Keep up the good work.

I was seen in the Emergency department on the evening of 03/22/2016. The PA working in the ED was very rude and disrespectful! His bedside manner literally sucked!!!!! Then upon reading the discharge instructions and what he thought was wrong was partially on a complaint that was never addressed or checked by him as well as being incorrectly diagnosed! I will be speaking with a supervisor in the morning about this man's attitude as well as this diagnosis! Unacceptable behavior towards a patient. Other than this, the rest of the staff was awesome!

This the most awful place to come to to get help

So i went to the er 2 months ago with severe stomach pains and they took blood and urine and sent me home with tremedol and told me it was hormones i needed a obgyn to perscribe me a birth control method to regulate my hormones. After a month i was getting sharper pains and i was swollen like a watermelon and my abdomen was so sensitive and hurting so bad it was breath taking. Once again they ran the same blood and urine test and told me again it was hormones and i had gained weight rapidly and this is why i was so tender. Once again i was discharged with tremedol and given the same advice. So I decided i was just tripping and took their word for it and went to see a obgyn 2 days later who told me i was fine and decided i needed nothing for hormones. After 2 weeks i got on my plane to go visit my family out of the country and never made it due to traumatic pain and nausea at jfk airport where i ended up being hospitalized due to my colon and intestines being so damaged from inflamation and bacteria it had litterally infected my kidneys and a perscription of antibiotics was out of the question. My trip was ruined my tickets were non refundable but that was not the end of the world. The end of my world was almost a fact I COULD HAVE DIED! I pray that anyone who is in need of medical attention thinks twice before putting your life in this hospitals hands.

My name is Kimberly Moore I recently visited our childhood friend Marie Boyer Dunham in ICU. I think the staff in the Unit took excellent care of our friend. They showed much concern and compassion. Now that was profession at its best!!!!

Casandra Park

Rude staff at the front desk! Rude nurses who scream at you when you are in labor! Horrible Doctors who have no clue what they are doing!! And staff that steals from patients rooms!! Absolutely Horrible!

Truly, I could not have received more professional, positive, and friendlier care that I received through Scotland Memorial Hospital during my stay in mid-June, 2018 and subsequent care at their wound Center until late August. My own foolish carelessness sent me to the hospital, but every one of their staff was exceptional. I finish 30 treatments in the hyperbaric oxygen chamber on August 28, and even that experience was made much better by all staff from the desk, to the hbo specialist, to the physician: John Neal, IV.

I've heard stories of bad experiences. But, I don't have any to share. I was an inpatient on the 3rd floor for a week in january. And, I couldn't have asked for better doctors, nurses, housekeeping, or dietary staff. I didn't want to be in the hospital, of coarse. But, the staff made it as comfortable as possible. Thank you to all, especially my nurses. Dennis, RN is the most awesome. I will definitely be using Scotland Memorial for any future hospital medical needs.

I went to this hospital several years ago. My Dr treated me and when I asked him what I should do for the pain and he yelled at me that He wasn't going to give me any Lortab. I was 18 years old at the time and didn't even have a clue what Lortab was. I just sat there stunned. When a patient asks a legitimate question yelling at them is not the way to go about treating someone in your care. They are just so rude. Everybody isn't out for narcotics. A lot of people just want to feel better. Treat people like human beings and not like they are all strung out on drugs.

My daughter came in at 12 pm today it is now 4:46 pm. They left her in the room for over 2 hours before anyone even came in the room . They have done absolutely nothing. I asked the nurse can I get some ice and a soda for my daughter. That has been over an hour ago. The nurse told me the PA would be in over an hour ago and I still haven't seen anyone. I used to think scotland was a decent hospital but not anymore. If you need help don't come here to scotland. The Nurses just blow you off. They seriously need to do better. So I was curious about Scotland's rating. The people that gave a few stars weren't in their Emergency room. They were in a room upstairs.

Aaron Lee

Great hospital, friendly staff. Overall good experience!

Waited hours before being seen in the er. Once we got in the back it still took all day before the nurse even came in. This place is awful, it's worth to drive to a different er

My baby had a very good experience. He came in with a high fever. RN Audrey on the 2nd floor was the best. Thanks to all of the staff and Doctor’s for taking care of my grandson.

Save yourself the time and stress and go to another ER unless you are literally about to die. And then get ready to wait to be transferred to a real ER.
