Dr Sachar is my doctor and he and his team took excellent care of me! I am from Atlantic Beach and I gladly travel the 3 1/2 hr. trip to get the best care in the US! I have had numerous problems with my heart and vascular system and I thank God every day I found Dr. Sachar and he is the reason I am still breathing . His staff and the staff at UNC REX are wonderful. Go for the best when it is serious , I did my research and made the right choice.

Not every friendly at front desk, women could be more friendly especially the one with dark short hair and glasses. Besides that everyone else is great.

UNC/REX Heart & Vascular was absolutely GREAT to My Mother, My Family & Myself. Unfortunately this wasn't the first heart surgery My Mother has had. However, she has healed so much faster from this heart surgery than she has from any other heart surgery she has ever had performed anywhere else. The employees are very kind and helpful. The furniture is extremely comfortable which is very important to anyone staying in a health facility and even more so to those family members staying with them. One more praise: there were electrical outlets literally everywhere, of course they were all along the walls as you would expect. They were almost everywhere else too: by all chairs, seats and tables in every room. Each outlet had to plugs and some of them even had a third for a USB cable, as long as you have a charger you are up and running.

There are certain shifts that actually help the patients my wife called for the nurse for she needed to use the bathroom the shift that has been the worst is the one that is on now which today is August 30 at 1pm she has been waiting for over 20 minutes when I walked to her room there were 6 nurses just sitting at the nurse station this floor #6 of the Heart and Vascular building of Rex the other shift nurses were helpful and very nice but the ones on that shift have been horrible it is a shame that one shift could ruin it for the other shifts

North Carolina Heart and Vascular is a first class heart center. Aesthetically, the building is beautiful. Professionally, the doctors and staff are knowledgeable and friendly. If you have a cardiovascular need, I highly recommend North Carolina Heart and Vascular!

Everyone from checkin, prep, procedure room, recovery and checkout were kind, courteous, positive, spportive, professional and caring. As an addition, were light hearted and kept me in a great frame of mind throughout the entire experience. Could not have been in a better hospital or with a better team.

My dear father in law was transferred here by ambulance from a rural Hospital because his heart condition was so serious. Once here he received excellent care from the doctors nurses CNAs. They even set up after care and dietitians to come to the house to help manage the heart condition. While the family was there with him the nurses took such great care of us as well. They offer free valet parking. If you do decide to park yourself there is a gentleman and a golf cart who will take you to the door every one of your needs are anticipated and taking care of before you even realize you need it it was nice. The whole situation was scary and stressful but being here in this beautiful facility really helped bring a spirit of peace to us and the care was incredible I would recommend this place to anyone.

The doctors, nurses , PT and CNA have been wonderful to my mom.The cafeteria personal and house keeping have all been great. They enjoyed my mom even thou she was ready to get out they have made all our stay wonderful. Keep up the good work.

I work at Rex so I'm biased in my opinion, but I think NC H&V is one of the best hospitals in the state. The staff is usually friendly which hasn't been my experience at other well known hospitals in the triangle area. The quality care us great and the technology is state of the art.

From the moment I walked through the doors for my procedures I was greeted and handled with caring and compassion. The nursing staff and all the caregivers are wonderful. I have been there for several procedures during this past year and have been treated with consistent caring and professional care. Thank you to all who work so hard to be the best!
