New York Presbyterian end is not a good hospital at all I was treated disrepectful, mean and rude the place wasn't clean the put two people in a one person curtain space in the emergency area, they got made to the point of extreme disrespect. A Doctor told me that I was going to die ,because I didn't want to stay in that unsanitary Hospital. Got home and began to feel very ill there was so many germs going on in that place, they told me most of the patients had the flu and they had people packed in their like cattle. The worst experience I ever had in years and this is the top.

Why dint you go to the emergency room near where you live? Wouldn’t you feel more comfortable that way? Why do you come over here if you live 114 street ? I just think you would feel better there because they have your files?? I came in to emergency rooms before over many years and I was never asked these types of questions... My question for the Presbyterian hospital end is: Do you usually treat all your clients on the emergency room while they’re in agonizing pain passing a kidney stones? How would you fell if someone keep asking these same questions over and over again ? I asked to speak with a manager: And right behind me there was a lady that comes to that hospital from the Bronx... this lady heard me and told me well I came here from the Bronx and they shouldn’t ask you these questions... so I kept wondering while in pain why are they doing this? I was working down town when I start passing a kidney stone, my client put me in the cab and told me to go there.... I was actually going to the hospital near my home, but since this was an emergency... if I can find a consul to sort this ridiculous types of events from ever happened again I will. The only thing I can think of is: If you are not white or have the insurance or money, don’t go here because they will try to push you out even before give you any care... Obviously they didn’t look at my files or care to treat me... I came up to the st Luke’s I have two 2 mm stones on the left side and one 3 mm stones on the right side. What a disgusting experience,

I am self-employed and have only needed medical services for maternity care. I went to St. Luke’s Roosevelt for my first pregnancy, when I was uninsured and covered by the state. They make you wait a minimum of 3 hours for every appointment. They treat you like you are less than privately covered patients. Sadly, I lost that baby at 28 weeks by fetal demise. By contrast, when I was pregnant again, I was months away from being covered with private insurance. I was covered by the state until the last 6 weeks of my pregnancy. I decided to go to NY Presbyterian for my maternity needs. The difference was significant in how I was treated. I never had to wait longer than 20 min for my appointment. I was treated the same as a person with private insurance at NY Presbyterian. I knew this because when my insurance kicked in, there was no change in how I was treated. That let me know that the care is about the patient and not their ability to pay. Now I am pregnant with full coverage for this entire pregnancy. Other than the location of my visits, everything is the same. I highly recommend NY Presbyterian for all of your medical needs, no matter what insurance you have. This is the best care anyone can ask for and it is also ranked nationally in 10 different practice areas. Don’t bother looking anywhere!

I spent 6 hours and a half in the ER to have a CT scan (wich took 5 minutes). And more than 8 hours in total for the hole visit (a blood and a urine test, and the CT scan). The Doctor was rude with me when I complained after waiting 5 hours and 45 minutes with no news about when the test will be performed. No one came after the test was finished to check on me or to tell me what to do afterwards. And when I looked for the doctor to talk to her she was rude again: she said she had a very sick patient and left me there while I was talking. Just one nurse was kind to me. I'm thankful to her for that, and that's why I give 2 stars instead of zero. The ER was not crowded when I was there; I even heard other nurses talking about how quiet it was. Not satisfied at all with the service. I arrived here at 4:30 PM. Now it's 12:48 and I'm still here...

I went to the emergency room the day before yesterday because I have chest pain. The doctors there could not find anything wrong, and suggest me to see a specialist and promised they will have someone call me the next day for the schedule. Then yesterday (which is "the next day") at 6:55pm, they finally called me asking a lot of details about my preference of scheduling without actually schedule a doctor! What they asked are: do you prefer an appointment in the morning or in the afternoon? which doctor do you prefer? which location do you prefer? etc. I told them it doesn't matter, as I just want to see a specialist as soon as possible. Then they said it's already after hour, so they will call me the next day again for scheduling an appointment, but it has to be after 5pm. (ridiculous!) Then today, right now already 8:20pm, no one called me! And I still have a chest pain!

Came in with my sugar at 700+ first time ever having diabetic issues ever! Once my sugar was low enough they sat me back down and had me sit in the recovery section of the emergency room without getting me a room for 48 hours.
