I recently had spine surgery here. By far, the best hospital experience I have ever had. Fully staffed with competent, responsive nurses and techs. They did everything to ensure my needs were promptly met. Every single doctor assigned to my care thoroughly explained procedures, results and in a couple of areas, conditions to address with additional medical attention after discharge. I cannot give enough praise to my surgeon, Dr.Andrew Sama! Highly skilled, thorough, cautious and affable. Thorough follow-up care. I am very grateful I chose Dr. Sama and The Hospital for Special Surgery. Their reputation is well deserved. Superior expertise and care on every level.

Words cant describe the amazing help I received here. I was practically immobile when I arrived. Eeryone in this hospital was caring and professional. Dr McLawhorn is so capable that his demeanor alone inspired great confidence. I arrived for my surgery at 1130 am Thursday and was discharged Fri at 1:00 PM. I have had zero pain since 2 hours after surgery and I am walking. I am so hopeful about my future and looking forward to long walks in nature once again and basically getitng my life back! Thank you staff and doctor McLawhorn at HSS!
