Terrible experience for my mom 88 years old, waited 9 hours to get admitted to Lovelace Hospital from the Heart Hospitsl of NM ER. No one ever came in to ask if she was hungry thristy, or if she needed to be changed. I had to ask. The sub- contracted Dr was rude, and came in only once, and nurses never asked if we were ok? I had to yell is there a nirs or doctor in, while they were bring trained on their new computer network program. No one should be treated that way, inhuman!!

BE WARNED. This hospital will tell you they are in your network to get your business. What they won’t tell you is their attending doctors are all “sub contractors” who are using an out of state, out of network billing firm. You will receive MASSIVE invoices from these doctors regardless of how much you interacted with them, and your insurance will NOT cover it. I was in their ER for 3 hrs. The nurses are the ones who administered my medications but the attending doctor sent me a bill for his personal services totaling $1,500!!!! $1,500!! I re read the release paperwork. They did state that I would be billed separately by their doctors. I figured a couple $100 maybe. But $1,500?? For a 3 hr visit? Completely unacceptable price gouging. Don’t use this hospital. Go to UNM.

I have been waiting for 3 working days to have a scheduler call me to set up a surgery time. My doctor has tried to get a hold of them, I've tried and nothing. This is so frustrating and unprofessional. I called the scheduler directly but no one could find her. Are you kidding me? I was told I needed a stent placed in my heart within the week, 3 days later still can't get anyone to call me back and schedule a surgery time. I'm angry and frustrated to say the least. There is no excuse for such poor service. Just to be clear, I was told Thursday I need surgery and the scheduler would call either Thursday or Friday morning and schedule. It's after 3pm on Monday and still no word from the scheduler. I am very upset. There is absolutely no excuse for this. What can I expect from the medical staff if this is what is happening with scheduling? This is very negligent on their part. I'm not even supposed to walk around the block but they can't make time to follow my doctors orders and schedule a time for me to go in.

Mom went in for chest pain, she has been waiting 27 hrs for them to do a nuclear test. Nurse won't come in and tell her when it will be or what. Well guess what? you cant have food or WATER before the test. So, make sure to eat and drink before going to the Heart Hospital.

My mom is a high risk heart patient. Took mom in to ER Monday. Not busy, thank goodness. Tests came back good, but wanted a stress test done. Doctor admitted mom. No rooms available, stayed in ER. She had no lunch Monday & no dinner, Tuesday no food or water due to test. Understand. But when asked why she hasn't gone by 1pm Tuesday, was told they have been too busy to call & get set up for test. As of this time family very upset due to her starving, no water & nurse was too busy. They knew she was having test Monday night. By 6 they decided to have mom do stresstest outpatient Wednesday. We have not had any problems before, till this time. Then another problem happened in food court on Tuesday at 12;30. Man in wheelchair order food. He couldn't handle tray by himself. No employee helped. I stepped up & helped man. When paying, attendant was on one side. I took tray to that side, but man had hard time wheeling to that side. Attendant couldn't reach over & get money from man. She was very inconsiderate to help. I wanted to address her, but didn't want man in wheelchair to see. Very upset that no employee offered to help him.

We had a wonderful experience here. Check in was simple, the place is very clean, the staff was very friendly. Came here for a second opinion after my father was told he needed his leg amputated. Dr. Henao was wonderful. He is so talented and with his expertise my dad did not have his leg amputated and was able to regain circulation to his lower extremities. I know this save my Dad's life he would not have live long after a leg amputation.

My 30 year old son was brought via ambulance because of chest pain. One of the staff members yelled at the EMS because they were full and she hadn't called ahead. Hearing this did not help my son. Staff seemed as if they were forcing themselves to be nice, that included both physicians that spoke with my son and got upset because they couldn't understand him and because he was tired. One even told him "why are you tired you are in the hospital." I guess if your in the hospital you shouldn't complain!!!!

I DIED ALONE because of the antiquated visitation policy of NM Heart. At 6pm, my 2 daughters and granddaughter were saying goodbye when a rude nurse asked if crowd control was needed to the nurse in my room. They were told visiting hours were over. That was the last time they saw me because after that I DIED ALONE. The VA and Presbyterian ICU let a family member stay with their loved one in the ICU, but not NM Heart. They don't deserve one star, rather a black flag.

I HAD A NUCLEAR TEST DONE. STAFF VERY PROFESSIONAL. JEREMY THE NUCLEAR TECH WAS THE BEST. HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL, VERY CARING EXPLAINED STEP BY STEP OF THE WHOLE PROCESS, HOW I WAS GONNA FEEL ETC. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

I'm a retired nurse, so I recognize levels of care. I was absolutely amazed at ALL the staff. Professional and skilled is inadequate praise. Their level of CARING is amazing. I remained with my sister throughout her 36 hour stay, after vascular surgery. There is nothing I could fault. Immaculate environment. Room 231. Every level of staff so helpful and always with a gentle smile. I'll never forget Jennifer.( not only beautiful to look at, but a beautiful, caring heart. ) A real credit to the profession. ......and Marco. These are the 2 who rose past mere excellence, to extraordinary, in their kindness. Gemma I didn't get to spend much time with but she glowed with kindness at every contact. Jennifer hugged us, on discharge, and said how much she'd enjoyed getting to know us. Marco saw to my every comfort, making it easy to spend all those hours at my sister's bedside, and he even walked me to my car at discharge time, so I'd know how to get to the door they'd wheel my sister out of, for me to take her home. I'm not easy to impress, but these people deserve an award. A true credit to the profession.

I had a heart attack at the age of 79. It was diagnosed and had bypass surgery (quintuple) the next day. The surgery was 4 hrs .The treatment and care was outstanding at the Heart Hospital. They had me up and walking the day after surgery. I am still walking (2 1/2 miles daily and am now 82 years old. I could not have had better care. Very professional and caring staff.

My grandmother was admitted by ambulance. When my mother called the hospital the administration told her that my grandmother wasn't there at hospital but she was actually physically there in the emergency department in a bed! Two days later they told my mother that my grandmother was having a procedure and to wait in the surgical waiting room. The doctors cancelled the procedure but never came out to tell my mom and she waited 3 hours in the waiting room. Today they did the procedure and the ICU nurse told my mom to wait for the surgeon in the waiting room and hour and a half later my mom checked with ICU and the surgeon had left the hospital without talking to my mom. Very poor communication. The nurses are awesome and that's why it's a two...the doctors and admin staff are a negative.

The surgeon was excellent, but the support staff didn't take their jobs seriously and made a lot of absent-minded mistakes. The worst thing I saw was a nurse who accidentally bumped a the chest of a patient who just had open heart surgery the previous day. But there were lots of other concerns: Why did the nurse ignore the low oxygen alarm from the oxygen monitor for nearly half an hour? Why was the physician's assistant carrying around her designer handbag from Diesel with her as she treated patients? Why did an ER doctor make a bizarre, non-sequitor joke in which he twice-referred to Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg as ugly? I saw several staff make dumb mistakes and then brush it off with a "Whoopsie-Daisy" attitude. Unfortunately, many of the staff at the Heart Hospital projected a lack of professionalism and undermined my confidence in the institution. I am sorry to say that I do not believe that the staff here can be entrusted with people's lives.

My experience? My husband has been in an ER bed for 24 hours now. No beds in the hospital? Are you kidding me? He's also NOT seen a cardiologist since he checked in 24 hrs. ago! Premier heart hospital. Not even close! We've seen techs, a pharmacist that ran in and threw some papers at him explaining his meds and ran right back out, cleaning staff and the OCCASIONAL nurse. I'm going to take him out of here and put him in a REAL hospital!

ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS!!! HORRENDOUS!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!! WE CAME IN WITH A HEART ATTACK AND THE PERSON AT THE DESK TO REGISTER WAS RUDE, ANNOYED AND TOLD US TO JUST BE SEATED AND WAIT OUR TURN!!! OHMIGOD!!! A HEART HOSPITAL! THERE WERE TWO NURSES ON DUTY, NO DOCTORS. ONE OPENED A DOOR AND BEFORE WE GOT TO THE DOOR SAID SHE HAD TO GO BACK IN FOR SOMETHING AND CLOSED THE DOOR AND DIDN'T COME BACK IN 15 MINUTES!!! HEART ATTACK!!! WE FINALLY WENT TO UNM WHERE WE GOT SEEN IMMEDIATELY. THIS PLACE IS A LAUGHABLE TRAGEDY. LOVELACE SUCKS AGAIN!!! DO NOT GO NEAR THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT TO NOT SURVIVE.

The staff was wonderful. Everyone - doctors, nurses, techs, even the food service personnel - was incredibly caring. They took very good care of my family member after her heart attack.

This hospital is absolutely terrible! Would not let us stay with patient even though she could pass at any time. My grandma passed away in this hospital alone. ALONE. Nobody should have to die this way, especially if they have the family wanting to be there. And to top it off, after she had passed- some clown comes in to do intake paperwork- she had been there since the afternoon before. AND THEN some woman comes in asking what hospice she is going to be released to- as we're all standing there crying and mourning over our dead family member. This is after 2 HOURS OF HER BEING GONE. The excuse was "we only get a quick update in the morning of who is here, we didn't get told she had passed. " Seriously, these people need to get it together, how can you not know that someone passed away in your unit!? - if you have any other options of hospitals, take it. This place is awful.

Incompetent.......... rude.......... horrible bed side manner.......... there is just to many ways to describe the unreal care that my dad received. I’m disgusted that this is our heart hospital. I’m saddened that we are allowing egotistical ass holes to be drs. They are not gods but boy do they demand to be worshipped. If you have to come here I’m sorry, and I hope you have your affairs in order. You may not leave better then you came in...From what I abserved it wasn’t just my fathers care that was horrible it was everyone else’s too.

Horrible experience for my father and our family the nurse did not know the pills she was giving him she said she was a half hour late she would not give us a list of the pills after we asked for it as soon as he took those pills he was on a rampage kicked all of us out said he felt like he was in jail. Completely different person we have never seen him like that. Next morning a different nurse came in and asked if he was diabetic because there was diabetic medication on his list he is not diabetic so yes they did give him wrong medication the day before. we would see other nurses walking down the hall on their phones and bumping into us. Awful awful people and I feel bad for the patients at this facility. I would give ZERO stars if that was an option

The worst experience I have ever had. I waited 8 hours in ER tethered in the ER on a horrible bed. Tethered to equipment that malfunctioned. No call button. Staff rude and ignored me the whole time. Tech unable to draw blood had to find someone else, this took over 2 hours. 5 and half before I spoke to a Dr. Other medical needs other than my heart were of no concern to them. Repeatedly asked for water, I am diabetic. I needed food and water. 7 hours later received a partial cup of water. I was left for hours unattended which necessitated struggling to untethered myself ask another patient where I might find a bathroom. I observed only 2 nurses 1 tech and 1 Dr on duty all of which spend the majority of time on computer and not tending to patients needs. Tests ordered were never conducted thus after 8 hours nothing was resolved. So this was the worst experience. 1 nurse ( Jerry ) extremely rude!!!!! I felt worse now coming out than when I was in ER. Repercussions of my inhumane way I was treated. Daily medications were not provided.

This place was awful. Surgeon on call was pushy about doing surgery and wouldn't consider other options. Then the ass hole had a hissy fit because his instruments weren't a certain way. Post surgery care was a joke. Food tasted awful and they expect people who didn't have invasive surgery to just sit on their ass while they figure out what regimen of medicine will work. Oh and god forbid if they go beyond the recommended standard of care. I was very disappointed by the staff's oh well attitude and just do what we say and don't ask questions. I would recommend going to presbyterian instead since they are non profit. At loveless, you won't miss the lack of care and that your concerns are irrelevant.

I went there after Dr office called because they were afraid I had a tear or rupture of aorta and left with the staff releasing me with 188 BP which could have ruptured the aorta.... So instead of going to get answers per request of my Dr.......the heart hospital could have killed me by their actions tonight. And top it off security came nose to nose with me threatening to remove me by force. Ok then called the police as I was afraid of not only a heart attack, a ruptured aorta but also a physical altercation with having very cyclical cushings caused by a rarer pituitary tumor. That is how heart hospital treats patients. I would hate to see what they do to mom patients..... UNBELIEVABLE HOUSE OF HORRORS!!!
