This Hospital belongs to the category of Medical Center.
My wife and I had an excellent experience in the Family Center with the birth of our son.
Been using the outpatient rehab services on site and they are very professional down to even the front staff. The only weird complaint is that they "dont take american express at the rehab dept because they dont have the right machines in that office" is the best answer i can get. (and i have asked the office manager about this same answer ) They do take it at the other dr.s offices fyi
Worst hospital in New England!! More expensive than any other hospital in NH and the worst service. The staff is rude and not helpful I wouldn't send my worst enemy there!!! Terrible Hospital!
Not the best choice to visit this hospital. Shift changed and new nurse was difficult. Asked her blood results and she said if they were not good we would have been notified. Asked her when radiologist would be in. She responded no clue. She was disrespectful, non caring and unprofessional. My husband was here for severe headache and monitor kept going off loudly. Asked nicely if it could be fixed. Kept happening so went to nurses station to ask again, if she could fix it, while nurse is sitting there shoving food in her mouth. Staff prior to shift change at 7:00am was good.
I went as an emergency patient. I was operated on a Sunday morning and home the next day. The Doctors and nurses were wonderful to me and my family.
Good hospital.
The staff who receieved us at the ER entrance almost broke my sisters neck and were awful to her the whole time.
My oldest brother is there now and I'm in Stockton, Ca wish I was with him
I had day surgery on my knee, it bled through all of my bandages later on that evening. I went back to the hospital to the ER, they charged my for the copay of $250.I called to explain that it was not my fault that I had to return to the hospital and they opened a case. Today I received a letter from Rosanne Swanson stating that Wendy DeMartino of US Acute Care Solutions found I had NO ACTIVE BLEEDING! Blood was running down my leg through my sock into my sneaker! Such an inaccurate statement! I have pictures and I had a friend with me that can tell the story differently. Totally disenchanted with this hospital.
Extremely kind and considerate staff.
I'll found from my local doctor here in class style that I have cancer. I have had a heart attack of a very young man and was brought the Brigham and women's hospital in Boston which was fantastic. Then was I found out I had cancer I thought it would be easier and closer to go here. I find this hospital to be just fantastic doctors nurses everyone there actually Cares. The nurses in the chemotherapy department are out of this world it's like they've been friends my whole life I would love to see them get the recognition That they deserve. The nurses read this I hope they can figure out who I am.. I love them up there. Now besides cancer I had a heart attack the brain aneurism and many other problems and they had doctors and professionals day of take care of me in all of these areas of still alive today because of them 5 stars is not enough. Thanks to everyone at the hospital, J.G.
By far the worst hospital I've ever been a patient at or watched my loved ones be a patient at. I recently had a bad experience at the ER, just overall issues with the attitudes of the nursing staff and the excrutiating pain a nurse put me through trying to (incorrectly) take out my sutures. She left 4 in my hand that I had to take out myself. Everytime I've been there, either as a patient or with family, I notice the nurses in the hospital do not care about you, ESPECIALLY the ER. 60% of the doctors and PA's in Exeter Health Resources do not care about you (there are some gems, however, who still remember why they're in this field). It's 100% about their paychecks and benefits. They will disrespect you, forget about you, overbook you, make you wait hours with no explanation, and lie to you. I'm also very tired of hearing horror stories from friends and family, you need to take action Exeter Hospital.
Amazing
I have always received excellent care in the ER and hospital both.
Extremely impressed and very thankful for the efficient and compassionate care from the ED to the cath lab to the ICU!
SENIORS BEWARE!!! The Hearing Aid Club at the Comprehensive Otolaryngology department will not allow returns on hearing aid batteries. My father passed away 1 week ago. One week prior to that my mother purchased 6 months of batteries for my Dad. Never opened with an expiration date of 6/2021. Hearing Club says no returns. Captive audience. Buyer beware.
My experience at Exeter hospital was absolutely awful. The nurse that stitches my fingers stitches it way to tight and when I had to get them taken out she took a scalpel to my fingers without even numbing or anything. Never again with I go there. Some of the receptionist are nice, but most of the team at this hospital has no respect and obviously a lack of experience.
It's a hospital! A good regional one.
Please stay away! They couldn't find my family member when I called twice. Told me maybe try another hospital?? They were laughing on phone when I called and phone rang 10times. The family member had surgery and is a senior yet they told me she must be in maternity ward!! Real classy place here. My family member said ER doctor were a joke two that she had and one got irritated they had to put a gown on . It's your job idiots!! If you don't want be an ER doctor......don't be one
Excellent care for my family. Recommend.
WHen ever I am a patient I `always get the best care possible. RIght not I am on 4 west T he nursing , LNAS and housekeeping are the best. I never want for anything. DR s also are Great.
Do not go to this hospital if you expect to get any treatment especially in the ER. So far my family member has been in their care for over 24 hours but has provided almost zero care.... they will not administer prescribed medications, will go say they will do something and never come back. Hours go by without seeing a doctor. No doctor has called me to speak to me about my family member. If you call, they will sometimes not look for your family member or tell you they aren't there. Don't go here or you might die.
Having had several surgical procedures in other hospitals and my last surgery at MGH I wasn’t sure how Exeter Hospital would compare. It was chosen for it’s fine orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Tom McGovern, who replaced my hip. In short I couldn’t have asked for better care. The staff was outstanding in terms of friendliness and professionalism. I have no reservations recommending Exeter Hospital. -Jim Sullivan.
If you want to be treated awful then go to Exeter hospital. New, expecting mother and they were very rude to me. They will give you wrong information and act as if you wasted their time. Will not be returning back.
Sitting here with a tooth infection thats swelling into my eye in alot of pain. Been here for two hours waiting while people are going in and out.... I will never come back to this place
Professional place with professional medical care.
Horrible experience waiting with my daughter. She was in terrible pain and they made her wait forever in the ER . No one came to talk to us for 1.2 hours. I asked two times if the wait was going to be long and that she was still in pain, no one had an answer for me. Very unhelpful staff. Bad experience . wish I could notate zero stars .
This place is a joke I waited 2 hours for service for my daughter who has a bad infection in her hand and still waiting to get a room the place is slow and they keep taking people in that got there after us would highly recommend you go somewhere else wouldn’t waste my time with them ever again
This review is about their cafe. The staff were friendly, thhe cafe had a decent and traditional variety for breakfast. Their cook offered to make us eggs, any style. They had 2 flavors of oatmeal, I liked the Banana & walnut flavor.
Wonderful care. The whole staff is great!
I went into the hospital Friday 4 a.m. to discover my gallbladder was in serious need of removal. The team in the ER were fabulous the doctors even better Dr Weeds and Dr Wright could not have been more personable and exceedingly professional. I woke up after my surgery in a ward of the most wonderful nurses I have ever had the pleasure of meeting under such stressful conditions. The nurses treated me with such respect and kindness I sent them a bouquet of cookies from Cookies by Design of Exeter. A huge shout out to the doctors and staff of Exeter Hospital. Thank you for my quick recovery. Sincerely, Rhoda Forsyth Rivera
a security gaurd became angry attacked me and sprained my ankle. I was in a fracture boot for 3 months. They never adressed it and refused xray.
My mother was just released from the ICU and PCU units at Exeter Hospital after major surgery. I cannot comment enough on the outstanding care and concern the entire staff in the ICU and PCU units gave to her. They were patient, compassionate, super responsive and incredibly caring. I would recommend this hospital to everyone and will go there myself in the future if I ever need hospitalization. Highly impressed with the entire staff from the intake nurse to the nurses and doctor who administered to my mother.
Facility has wide range of services. The ER wait is often long but the staff is good. If you need special testing it is easy to schedule and my experience is that they are typically running on-time so they dont keep you waiting.
Core Physicians in Epping and Exeter hospital is just a big scam, they bill you for things they say will be covered fully when it's not and don't follow through with their word. My wife and I have had multiple occasions of incidents they flat out lied about. We and whoever we talk to tell them to go to Portsmouth hospital instead. Just look at all the issues they have had as a hospital the past few years and if that doesn't convince you nothing will. Lastly, Tracy from billing is very unpleasant.
I took my daughter who had a lower lumbar sprain. She was in extreme pain and could hardly walk. I had to take her in in a wheel chair. Dr. Bock gave her nothing for the pain. We couldn't even get her out of bed to get her in the wheel chair, so i could take her home. The nurse suggested someone from physical therapy come down to help her and give her tips on her back and Dr. Bock said no to that too. He was completely useless and didn't help my daughter at all. I had to take her in in a wheel chair and in pain and I had to take her out in a wheel chair and in pain.
Best cancer treatment following severAL years of various cancer. Been to hospitals in Boston their Radiologist and Oncologist are from Mass General with state of the art equipment. They offer so much help in wellness nutrition, therapy, nutrition and more and the whole staff is very caring and treat you with more care than I ever recieved. It is the cleanest and most caring place I ever been too obtained top notch treatment and care. George Reardon
A nurse told me i should leave so theres that
I've been going to Exeter Hospital for years, not as a patient but as a helper/assistant to my aging parents. It is the hospital where I am the least squeamish - maybe because I'm not having procedures. But even walking down the hallways at some hospitals I feel like I could get attacked by some awful germ at any corner. The place is comfortable, warm visually and temperature. The foyer is airy and light. The only thing that is bothersome is often the offices, exam rooms, and doorways are so small it is hard to maneuver the wheelchair. Very slow and tough going at times. I'm not rating the doctors because we've seen so many and though they have all been very professional, they are so different.
Pediatric Blood Draw.. Wow, i couldn't have been happier with how this went. Our son is 18 months and needed a blood draw. we got there around 10ish, signed in, and were seen relatively quickly. The two nurses, Linda and Sharron (i believe were there name), were great with us, have lots of experience, calm, positive, happy, and our son enjoyed how they interacted with him. The draw went very well and I couldn't be happier. We got through the ABC's 3 times and it was done! I called all over Exeter and surrounding areas to find a place that performs pediatric blood draws and Exeter Hospital came highly recommended and the other places that i spoke with didn't give me the confidence that they would make this a traumatic experience. I don't care if they were in network or not, the skill and technique that they used was great from a parents perspective. Thank you!
Had a good experience at the Imaging Center..Staff was responsive, Nurses were very polite and informative....The area looks small but clean.
Very very expensive. If you breath inside the hospital, then they will charge you $$$$million of dollar. I believe, they must have a worst inhumanity managements wanted all blood money. They will never ever give you any kind of discounts... Stay away from this hospital, if any of your doctors recommended over there.
As a mother to a newborn child I have had a very bad experience here and the pediatrician next to the hospital! A lot of miss communication threats that was not Necessary I will never be returning to either place I will not be paying for a demanded one time visit ! I do not appreciate threats made when they don’t even understand what the hell is going on in my child and myself and our family’s lives don’t worry we will never be returning here!!!
Awful experience for my 75 year old mother. If you end up with Dr. Andrew Weeks as your Hospialist, run the other way. The Palliative Care team will set up a plan with the family. All sounds good until it’s time to execute the plan. Less than 24 hrs the plan was not followed. Called the team out on their plan, their response was “we can only move forward and learn from our mistakes”. Wow!!! Stay away from Exeter
I was brought into Exeter Hospital by EMT September 20th approximately at midnight, with a medical emergency.I was handled totally in a professional manner from start to finish. (Discharged Friday of that week) Staff was kind, efficient , well trained & I live out of state.
