My mom --my love-- was there for one week, after her back surgery recovery. She and I wanted to write our gratitude. I should mention that my mom does not speak English and comes from a different culture. The staff in this rehab were very kind and lovely to my mom, and while she was there, she and I really felt they are all like our family members, very empathetic, very understanding, very considerate, and very conscientious. God bless the staff (managers, doctors, nurses, pts, nutritionist, chef, ... and really everyone) there. My mom wants me to add that she received a lot of respect for her religion (Islam) and the type of food she requested every time, and that the building (and her room) was very clean and neat!

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital; 2 Rehabilitation Way Woburn, MA 01801 the place to go for rehab! This is my second stay at this facility as I have Pulmonary Fibrosis. The entire staff is wonderful: nursing, doctors, pharmacy, dietary, housekeeping, maintenance, case workers, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and respiratory therapy. All upbeat and positive! I apologize if I omitted any disciplines! Excellent Occupational, Physical, and Respiratory Therapy departments. There is a mandatory 3 hours of OT/PT weekdays. And, they make you work! One goes to bed exhausted at night. After admission it is a barrage of interviews and discussions with all of the different teams: Nurses, doctors, pharmacy, dietary, case workers, respiratory, OT, and PT. Once admitted they begin coordinating discharge planning for each induvial. Updates frequently from all the disciplines. HOW WONDERFUL IT IS TO BE A PATIENT AT ENCOMPASS HEALTH REHABILITATION HOSPITAL IN WOBURN, MA!

My Husband was sent here after a major cardiac arrest/seizure. He was not able to feed himself and many times if I wasnt there he wouldn't have eaten. He was stuck in bed with an alarm and his food tray was across the room. Never was properly tended to and ended up with a very bad bed sore.Nurses never (all except for one nurse or assistant ) ever gave him water. I've waited over 8 months to write a review hoping the habits he picked there was just a fluke, unfortunately it was not the issue. Instead of working with him they gave him a towel to occupy his mind. He was never taught how to eat properly,wash,drink or any other occupational or hygiene issue. He was never worked with for over a month on how to speak or write. Within the first week of being their he was being treated for dehydration (if they gave him fluids of any type that wouldn't of happened) he ended up having another seizure that set him back and they put him on so many meds his brain wasnt able to function correctly. Which wasnt a good thing since he was their for TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) with right side brain damage. Kinda seems ridiculous that a brain injury patient was left to fend for himself. Granted the psychical therapist was amazing got him walking but that's honestly it. He left the place in January and sadly was back in the hospital in February for over a month in Boston this time and under went therapy through the hospital and they were confused on what he was taught or better lack of taught from this place. He was so over medicated from that place his brain was so confused to the point he had consecutive seizures and was under observation. It took over a month in the nureo unit to fix the medication issue and restart him on the proper meds,doses!. Pleaseif your loved one is sent to Encompass DON'T HESITATE IF YOU QUESTION ANYTHING, BE STERN! Also demand answers cause they lack that department as well. I asked many questions even flipped out a few times and still nothing was resolved. Here it is almost September and I'm still trying to get him into special therapies for speach, occupational therapy and more to try to fix, recover anything done from this place! Keep in mind my Husband is only 38yrs old. I wish I could give negative stars but unfortunately you can't!

I am so impressed by everything at this facility. The floors are clean enough to eat off of. The staff is diligent and professional and they take pride in what they do. The care my father has been receiving here is exceptional. I am grateful for the staff here!
