My Uncle was a US Navy veteran. He was at the Manchester VA medical center in Hospice. While he was there someone stole his cell phone and charged up a $300 phone bill to El Salvador.

J Wright

The highlight of my first visit was the excellent service by the staff. Bravo Zulu and thank you!

Bernie Courtemanche

Despite the complaints of many, there are also points of praise and thankfulness.i, myself am quite thankful for these doctors and nurses doing their best to aid thousands of veterans coming through their doors.

Bernard Hammond

Because it's the only care I have. So I have to go here. With the level of care today, I wasn't very happy.

Richard Matthiesen

Depends on the doctor and the day.

I am a combat veteran, that being said shouldnt matter a veteran is a veteran all the same. I have been trying to make an appointment with them for over a year now. I never recieved a call back after multiple tries. Went into the Urgent Care to get seen as well as a physical. They told me I had to do that through my PC ... well how can I if they will never see me. I left and went to another Urgent care that is taking care of me. Dont go here you less you absolutely have to. Horrible attitudes and could care less if your taken care of.

Scott Young

I went to this medical center for years. Always had good care. Used PT/OT, Urology, Primary Care, Mental Health. I always received care and I was always treated with respect.

I've gone to several different VA facilities over the years. The staff and doctors at this facility are phenomenal. They listen. I feel their real concern to help whenever I keep an appointment or even come by without one. I recommend any veteran in the area utilize this facility.

I would like to let you know that as a Veteran, I have received in my opinion, some of the finest care at the Manchester VA. I have had two major procedures and they were scheduled in a very timely manner and performed in the same. I keep seeing all this negative feed back about this issue and have a very hard time understanding it. All the Vets there are treated with great respect. I hope more of my type of experiences can get more attention to offset the negative.

By far the most professional and accommodating VA I've had the pleasure of being provided care by. From housekeeping to doctors, everyone has been always positive and helpful. I'm blessed to have access to the care they offer here.

Jerry O

Despite some negative press I've always found care and staff absolutely wonderful. Glad as a vet I have access to medical care here.

I went to Urgent care at 8am for help about a rash all over abdomen and was told to wait around for my primary doctor first when he is out of a meeting at 9am and see if I can see him, if not come back. I was taking two new medications and wondering if it was a reaction to one. I left wondering what type of urgent care is this. The woman at the desk was not interested in helping, now I hope this was not the normal practice here.

I went to the VA hospital in Manchester today and tried to go to the walk-in mental health clinic. I spoke with a female social worker wearing combat boots and a dress Who told me there were no doctors working in the walk in clinic. And then she told me that I would need to schedule an appointment to see a doctor in the walk in clinic. I then explained to her what a walk-in clinic was and that walk in clinic doctors don’t have scheduled appointments. I can’t explain how frustrated I am with this pretend hospital. I have a Purple Heart, I deserve to be treated professionally not belittled because I am prescribed medication. Because that’s what this employee did, she was condescending and treated me like a criminal who did wrong. NH residents don’t care about the veterans from their own state. If they did we wouldn’t be one of the only states without it’s own VA hospital. If you didn’t know NH VA center in Manchester can’t even legally call itself a VA hospital. It’s called lyryryrytua VA out patient facility. Shame on the residents of NH. Any veterans reading this take my advice, don’t go into the manch VA facility without a recording device so you have proof of what was said and done. Then you can share it with the patient advocate or download it and share it with the world.

Most of the staff are very pleasant and accommodating. Be sure you know or can receive comprehensive information regarding your condition or complaints. Out of new Number 5 for superior knowledge and bedside manners, I rate the Manchester VA. a 4 out of 5.

They are seriously the WORST when it comes to care for a younger veteran. Sure they'll take tests, give you meds that do nothing and do the bare minimum, BUT if and when something is seriously wrong with someone all they do is try to convince them theyre perfectly fine when they're not, AND they'll also send you to the va in boston to have them tell you the exact same thing. What do they do? Turn them right back to manchester. It's such a wonderful circle of life! You basically have to be in a wheelchair to get any kind of actual treatment. My body feels like its 60 yrs old and im not even half that age. All they care about is saving money for the government. You're welcome for putting my body through all kinds of serious hell. Thanks for nothing!!!!

My husband went in last night at the Urgent care because he was having a hard time breathing. We just recently bought a house and the previous house owners owned a cat, and the cat was allowed everywhere in the house. My husband is severely allergic to cats. Over the week he has been taking allegra, benadryl, flonase, etc but nothing worked. He is a health nut and in pretty good shape so it is very hard to see him physically struggle. So I finally told him to go to urgent care and maybe they can give them a inhaler or something. I wish I went with him so I could flip out on the nurse and the doctor because they gave him nothing but attitude! My husband said that it seemed like they were so inconvenienced because he went there for nothing. And the nurse was like "You look perfectly fine to me, what do you want me to do?" With a bad attitude and even went to the doctor saying "Well he looks good to me, what else could I do" in a complaining manner. I am sorry that you maybe hate your job but you are getting paid to help and not to complain that you don't know what to do. They could've had a little bit more compassion about the issue but instead they chose to be miserable about it.

Unfortunately the service isn't very good at all. The phones shut down early every day, so making an appointment if you work is a nightmare. Trying to talk to anyone takes a minimum of 20 minutes of hold time and option choices. And the worst part is if your primary care is in the area you cannot just call another that medical center... it all has to go through the Manchester Hospital. When you actually get an appointment it's set out months later and you can expect to sit waiting for a minimum of 1-6 hours for you to be seen. So when you live an hour away and work it's just not an option. It's basically a nursing home for the retired that can afford the time.

Mike Post

The folks at Manchest VA are phenomenal! I was seen in the same day surgery unit. I was seen on time. The whole nursing team were very considerate, helpful, and caring. They answered all my questions thoroughly. The doctor and his team were equally phenomenal! They made sure! Understood exactly what would take place. He read through my health history and answered all mine and my wife's questions. Thank you all for making my experience as pleasant as possible.

Warren Robinson

I get all my care and medications here. I wouldn't have it any other way. I take pride in being a veteran. Having them take care of me, just shows how much you're appreciated for helping to take care of them when I served.

Hunter Hodge

An obese nurse that works the night shift, whose name starts with an R. Last night was refusing to help and assist my father who unfortunately was going through drug withdrawals and trying to seek help and eventually recover himself. He has struggled with addiction from medication prescribed to him and he was in NEED and this nurse did f*** all to help him and understand what he was going through or to treat someone with PTSD. She should never work in a place like this and is extremely unprofesional. She multiple times prompted verbal altercations with my sisters who were there to help my dad who couldn’t WALK! He was cold and in pain and the nurse kept forgetting equipment or tools and having to leave the room and giving attitude when asked for any assistance. I wanted to leave this review to 1) in hopes to get this women removed from this line of work because she 100% not capable 2) hope no one else who has had the balls to serve this great country be treated like this. Lastly I would like to say to anyone that could please reach out to this specific person to tell her to go to Hell one last time for me.

I had Dr. Bernard in June 2017 .He is very egotistical and high strung. I told him something was wrong that I didn't feel well, and that I was tired all the time. He told me that I needed to go on a diet eat the right foods, loose some weight, and quite smoking.. I was at 230 lbs. Long story short it was cancer that he didn't discover until June 2018. I'm now at stage 4 cancer and have 6 to 12 months to live. I later found out that none of this information that I had told him was recorded on his computer, and all he could say to me was I'm very sorry. P.S. Stay away from this Dr. It could mean your life!

This facility discriminates agianst motorcycle riders who have walking disabilities. There are several handicap parking places near the main entrance BUT motorcyclists (even if they have disabiltiy license plates) are required to park in a motorcycle only parking area which is quite a distance from the main entrance. If the handicapped motorcyclist parks in the spaces near the entrance they receive a parking violation. Pure blatant descrimination against handicapped mototrcyclists.
