Jaime McAlarnis

Every person I spoke with or was treated by was awesome. Not one complaint.

Kat Riley

I can’t say enough good things about The Birthplace at Summerlin Hospital. The knowledgeable and caring nursing staff, the comfortable private room, all the tests and screenings that are done. Plus there are extra added touches that were above and beyond my expectations. It was just a positive experience both of the times that I gave birth there.

Avis R

Everyone from the sweet lady and kind man at the ER checking to the nurses and PAs were very caring and attentive. It was a busy morning yet they all attended to everyone as best and as quickly as they could. However, the actual doctor was not as kind, caring or understanding and seemed a bit stressed. Maybe Summerlin Hospital Ned’s to hire more doctors to ease that stress.

Sara Bigley

Every staff member I came in contact with continuously made sure I was okay and felt comfortable. I had a bad experience with anesthesia at another hospital and my anesthesiologist at Summerlin went above and beyond (and probably out of his way!) to make sure it didn’t happen to me again. I’m so grateful that the nurses and surgery staff were so wonderful. Thank you Summerlin hospital!

Cheryl Benedict

Staff was professional and knowledgeable. You are Treated with respect and never rushed when asking questions or concerns.

N Tea

The hospital is very clean and organized. The entire staff was very friendly.

April Wilder

I have two stars because I was impressed by the comfortable beds and sofa area for my mom to stay with me. What I was disappointed in was there lack of “human interactions” with the doctors. I waited all day one day to see the doctor for less then ten minutes, and the second day two different doctors visited me who said they would check on my ultra sound results and NEVER came back to speak to me or give me any clue on what was going to happen next with my care. I felt more clueless on what was going on, and decided this is not the hospital for me. I demanded to leave after one night because they were not giving me answers or care I deserved and I felt like I waisted my time, and now have to pay a bill for care I could of gotten at home.

My experience in Summerlin Hospital was pleasant. The pre op nurse was very nice and made me comfortable as much as possible coz I was nervous and the OR nurse as well very friendly. My recovery was horrible when I woke up I had the worst pain and it was too loud in the nurses station, they were wearing blue scrubs. You expect they should keep their voices low since its recovery but to no avail they really don’t care! I complaint to my nurse about my pain, she said I will feel that all day long! I was devastated coz it really hurt, I just had surgery! She should at least give me pain meds and comfort me. I’m sure my doctor prescribe one for me. I was transferred to a regular room (med/surg) I believed. The staff there was amazing and very helpful. I was comfortable and pain free. They are so friendly and polite. It compensate the one in Recovery that needs improvement. I could have give 5 star but because of horrible experienced I had in Recovery only 3 star. It is a critical period when your recovering from anesthesia the Nurses there should know better!

Hank Wiegel

All the Staff that took care of me were Outstanding. When I had tests done everything was explained in terms that I could understand. I was made to feel cared for and respected.

Roslyn Gil

Every nurse was wonderful, from the nurse who got me ready, the OR nurse , and all the others who I barely remember due to the anesthesia, all were so caring! I really wish I could remember their names because they deserve to be recognized!

Luna Flores

Special thanks to the security guard Simone on the morning of July 4th 2019 0200 and her coworker for having chit chat with me until the cab arrived. As I was panicked that I didn't know where Summerlin Hospital is on a map. Just moved here to Vegas on June 14th 2019. Also my nurse Rodney and the head MD James Mangan. Dr. Mangan helped me previously with a UTI that ended in anaphylaxis from the Macrobid prescribed. Thank you for trusting me and helping me.-Stacey Todd

Horrible hospital had my first child here nurses were kind to me but rude to my significant other ignoring him when he asked questions and made it seem as if the child was not his it made me very angry! He had just as much a part in creating our child as I did! Very very disrespectful! Also made comment about him not being able to name the baby with his last name but in a very rude way! I did not even want to have baby here because I had a family member who worked at summerlin and he would always tell us that there motto is we are not here to make you comfortable just help you! So if you are looking for a hospital that you can enjoy while getting good treatment don’t come here I would suggest centennial hills or Mountain View both give great care and make you comfortable!

Paula de la Cruz

Paige my Rn was awesome, and the US techs were amazing!!

Monica Jenner

Delivered here with my first born. Staff was great and very caring. Special shout out to Rebecca in pediatrics. She went above and beyond and made sure we were very well taken care of. I want to say special thank you to few other staffs as well that made sure we were comfortable and happy.

Yamileth Montes

The experience was amazing from beginning to end. I went to Summerlin Hospital to give birth to my son and had by far the best experience as this is my second child (my first son I had at a different location) I had to be at the hospital at 4am to be induced and the lady at the front desk was extremely bubbly and friendly she paged our nurse Tim who was going to get me all prepped and ready to go. Tim was also very friendly and very kind. He answered all my answers and concerns and took his time. His shift ended at 7am then I got Natasha who was there until I delivered my son and she was also very attentive and kind. Last but not least Dr Tanja Scherm came in with such a calm, professional, caring, kind demeanor. She made sure everybody who was present for the birth knew what was going on. She made the delivery as smooth as possible. Overall the BEST hospital experience I have ever encountered. Highly recommend this hospital along with Dr Tanja Scherm.

Lana McKeague

Courtney in Triage ER dept is awesome! She is warm, caring, professional and makes you feel like everything will be fine and that you’re about to receive the best care possible. I have brought my dad there more than once and she is consistent in the service she gives. Always so respectful! My dad’s overall visit was good but Courtney went above and beyond.

I gave birth here to my 3rd child and it was a terrible experience. First, I had a scheduled induction at 4:00 am. They didn’t even start me on pitocin until 6:30 am. I was in labor for 9.5 hours and towards the end I could really feel the contractions even though I had an epidural and I knew that the baby was descending further down and that I was dilating fast. I was at a 6 and 30 minutes later felt ready to push. I called the nurse in and she argued with me about it for 10 minutes. Didn’t believe me, wouldn’t check me. Finally, after putting up enough of a fuss, she agreed to check me and saw that I was fully dilated and ready to go. This isn’t my first rodeo....then she was too nervous to let me use the restroom, gave me a bedpan and right after I peed she left the room and let me sit in my urine for 20 minutes. They never stayed on top of my pain. I constantly had to remind them to give me Motrin. My son had trouble regulating his blood sugars and the night nurse told me to stop breastfeeding him. Dumbest advice I’ve ever heard. They bathed him without even telling us so, we completely missed his first bath. They were so condescending to me. I’m an experienced mom, I know how to take care of my baby, but they treated me like I didn’t know anything. It was just a terrible experience. My doctor was, of course, amazing. But the nurses were so frustrating! If I have another baby, it won’t be here. Oh and the food was awful also.

Marilyn Epps

A warm and genuine caring staff.

Jim G

Positive experience. Everyone was positive, helpful and exceptionally courteous. What a great staff.

warren cross

I had a great visit,if being in hospitial was nice. The ONLY problem i had was a very unplesant person at check in.She was surllery and didnt care about me as a patient,I didnt get her name but she was a african american female.Other than that everyone was fantastic and cared for me. Kudos to nurse Kelsey on floor five, now thare is one fine nurse.Thank you and i hope this helps.

Jason Salmonson

The staff was courteous and responsive. My wait time was virtually zero and I was very happy with the care I received.

Gary Ross

Very clinical and mechanical experience. Treated like an object on an assembly line. I feel my time and money were wasted.

Lois Hale

Jon DePolo and Dr Jesser were both professional, took care of my eye quickly. Very friendly staff

Ryan Larson

First of all, we had our first effort baby recently and she had to be admitted into NICU. This is a very scary experience for first time parents. The nurses and the doctors have made the experience tolerable .. which is the best you can hope for. They’ve guided us through new parent lessons one step at a time while constantly ensuring we are envolved and in the know. What a staff to constantly be at our beck and call and making sure we had comforts. They were good souls, not just people there to do a job. The care my girlfriend received was top-notch as well. They listened to her when she was in pain and made sure to bring the pain down, they also were there to keep her at bay when she felt like doing too much too fast. AMAZING!

Lucy Lovely

Great hospital. Very efficient with time and staff were amazing. Francisco gave me my medication yesterday and he was of great assistance as well as the doc and everyone else that helped. Thank you!

Desiree Montoya

The staff was super nice and attentive. I got there around 8am and checked in super fast. I was taking back to my pre OP room within 15 mins and my nurse was super nice and experienced and explained everything to me. While I was waiting to go back to my surgery they are always checking on me and making sure I was ok. My doctor preforming the surgery lisa Roberts is amazing I love her. She is very smart and reassuring and I trust her completely my nurse in surgery Rick was also very nice and reassuring. I was out of surgery within 1.5 hours and into recovery. The staff in recovery were also attentive and very nice. I had a good experience all around and would go back again if I needed more work done.

Jasmine Esquivel

I had the best experience in labor and delivery, the nurses were so kind, helpful, and professional. I felt so comfortable the nurses went above and beyond for me. One nurse I will never forget is berndanette she made me feel so important at the hardest time during my labor. She never gave up on me. She had the most patience a person can have. I can not thank her enough she gave me tips on how to push during labor and it definitely helped me I only had to push 3 times!!! I was so glad she was right next to me during my labor thank you. Dr. Kirsten Rojas never fails to do the best she can do, she delivered my first baby and now my second and I wouldn't want anyone else!!! She is amazing, and cares so much. thank you summerlin hospital for all your great nurses and doctors.

Summerlin Hospital is clean, it's expensive, the staff is kind, the waits are long. These are all qualities I'd expect from the most average of hospitals. My biggest problem with his hospital is lack of choice to patients. Every other metric is average, but without choice what do those things matter? We didn't get to pick our treatments, the conditions weren't thoroughly explained, and we didn't even get to pick a pharmacy. In fact, we had to wait an hour after discharge to leave because they sent the medicine to their pharmacy without asking and refused to give us the script to take to our own. The CNA was by far the most helpful person in the whole place. Everytime I asked a nurse something they literally said they didn't know - but I would ask a young CNA at 3am the same question and she attempted to answer to the best of her knowledge and was at least somewhat helpful. I would have lost my mind without the CNAs communicating with me. Maybe I'm a weirdo, but to me the most important factor in medical care is transparency and choice. Summerlin Hospital lacks both. I always planned on having kids here when I get pregnant and I can tell you from this experience I would never leave my care in the hands of these people again.

michael petitta

My wife is a patient here now. The staff is very nice, but the service and care is very very slow. Something could happen to her and they would never know it until it was too late. She had some issues in front of the nurse last night, but no one takes things serious. I come back this morning and she is worse. They should be on top of things and getting these tests done ASAP not waiting for hours. I bet if a family member of someone form the hospital staff was in here everything would be done now not later, and they would get 1st class care. This is ridiculous.

Vanessa Lopez

Excellent care!!!! Had my second baby here and the nurses, doctors, managers were so great to us. They made my experience one of the best and I will definitely go back for my other deliveries. Post party Rooms are a little small but that was not too big of a deal. Food was delicious as well!

Jose Reynaldo Reyes Amador

The doctors and nurses are caring. They helped us with our baby boy. My baby was born on his 26th week of pregnancy at surprisingly low weight of 1lb 15.75oz and they took care of him. Now my baby is at 10 lbs 4oz, healthy and beautiful. I am really grateful to Summerlin Hospital staff.

Ron Anderson

Sadly I don’t have much nice to say regarding the process at this hospital. My wife had a procedure on Saturday and was told to enter through the Main entrance which was our first indication this might not be the best experience as when we asked the person at the information desk, she referred us to the ER check in. Hmm thankfully it was not busy there and a nice lady pointed us in the right direction which was on 5he other side of the hospital. Okay we are there and checked the in by 10. They took my wife back about 1030 for a procedure which lasts about 15 minutes. So by 1220 I am getting concerned, the reception window was closed, I heard voices discussing lunch behind the window, when I picked up the phone to call as sign indicated, I heard the phone ring and the voices go quiet, it rang five times no one answered, I knocked on the window and no one came to the window. At this point it is nearly 1 and I am really concerned and there was not a sole to ask. Zero communication and no status board. Turns out they were just running way behind and failed to communicate as my wife did not go into the operating room till 1230. For as much as the procedures costs you would hope the hospital personnel would be more professional and compassionate however this was not the case. If you can go elsewhere, do yourself a favor and do so.

Robin Courtis

I came into the ER with severe pain due to bone cancer. The doctors & nurses were all very attentive & were able to get my pain under control so I was able to go home & return to work as well

Robert Caruso

Not an entirely pleasant experience. Understaffed . Nurses were performing duties that receptionists or aides could have done. This takes highly skilled personnel from their primary function and gives the patient the impression that they are a burden.

Life is pain

My first time here, The nurses and the doctors are great they show that they care about you. To me they deserve more than five stars!

Ivy Tran

I gave birth at Summerlin Hospital for my first baby--had a long labor. All the nurses, CNAs, charge nurses, laundry staff, and other staff are very nice and super supportive. I love the fact that charge nurse came at each shift to introduce themselves and asked if I need anything. Nurses here have good knowledge of lactation. They also have certified lactation nurse on the floor. I had wonderful experience here.

Diane Bell

They were very efficient and thoughtful to update me on my husband during and after surgery. I was able to watch his progress on the board in the waiting room. They made him very comfortable afterward.

Dennis Murphy

First rate experience, from the nursing staff to the OR personnel, and to the star of the show, Dr. Bonometti, who did a fabulous job on my heart. Thank you all!

Lesley Stuart

While no hospital stay is pleasant the staff in the ER as well as the 4th Floor West were wonderful. Pleasant, courteous, understanding. Everything you would expect from nursing and CNA staff. Dr's Kumar and Tran were wonderful. The whole experience was stressfree

Charles Freeman

Kind of slow, but when the staff actually got to you they were very nice and pleasant.

Hjordy Wagner

Once we went to our room on 6th floor, the staff and doctors were terrific. One of our nurses, Arlene, we had for two day shifts. She went above and beyond for my husband. We are grateful to the lead doctor for organizing other specialist and taking time with us. We won’t go anywhere else after this experience.

Barb Blankenship

The ER was phenomenal and they took care of my husband right away. When he was admitted, Dr. Larry Copeland, consultants and nursing staff were attentive and thorough with his work-up and care. Many thanks!

artemese smith

Nurse jackie and nurse carol we so help for to me in south wing of labor and delivery they mad my stay wondeful thank you guys

Mike Brandt

Excellent care. Wonderul people

Heidi Hauck

Adequate service. Much room for improvement. PACU needs to improve their level of care. My bag was empty and I was not on an IV pump machine, so I could have gotten air in my line. Thank God I am a nurse and I was able to handle the issue. Most of the nurses were great except for one, she worked in post-partum and was younger and she made a lot of promises, but did not keep them. She failed to remove my urine catheter and just passed the job onto the next shift. Compared to our first experience at Summerlin Hospital, this was just adequate. Our first experience was amazing. Maybe the difference was that the first time I was induced and this was just a scheduled c-section.

Misty Suarez

Absolutely ridiculous treatment and care.. I went to this hospital seeking treatment. I have been and am STILL sick. My doctor is out of state. I don't know what to do.. I have never felt so mistreated. I have worked on the other end and saved lives myself. What happened to patient care?? I am a woman in serious distress and I dont know what to do. I had the er doc and nurse yelling at me. On top of that I am a victim of domestic abuse!! I have ptsd, anxiety and depression. You have no idea how I walked outta that place feeling!!!! Shame on your entire staff. I AM SICK AND SCARED FOR MY HEALTH!!!!!!!!!!!!! I DO NOT WANT A THING BUT TO FEEL LIKE MYSELF AGAIN!!!!!!!!

Natalie Smith

I had a wonderful experience at Summerlin delivering my baby girl! Everyone was so nice and helpful. I really can't say enough good things. All the nurses helped me be comfortable and there was always someone around to answer any questions I had or just help me however I needed. I am thrilled that they took such good care of me and my daughter and so thankful!

Lovely Glinton

Everyone was wonderful except for my discharge nurse. She was all over there place and left me to figure things out alone

Dianne Wolf

The administrative and nursing staff were great.

Art Rubin

Excellent attention to my medical problem. Full staff dealing with my problems were extremely professional and caring. Thanks for once again for your quick and efficient service.

MRS. Krystal E. Navarrette

The hospital personal. where kind, sweet and caring. very attentive

ashley bagley

This was my second birth at this hospital, my first birth experience was really bad there and was really nervous to go back. But this time around my experience was great. Besides having to wait to get a room for after my son was born due to they had a overfill of babies being born. I was stationed in the anti partum unit instead of the post partum, just because that's where they had a room for me. I have to say that could of been the difference in my experience because the nurses I had through out my 48 hours where amazing! Every single one of them was so friendly, made sure I was well taken care of and even played with my 2 year old every time he was there to visit. My doctor that did my spinal was one of the best doctors I had ever met. He was great did everything perfect walked me through all the steps and sat by my side the whole time. I'm very happy that I choose to give this hospital another chance. The one thing that does need to change is the fact that the nurses make you feel so low if you dont breastfeed. As well they need to get a new photography company because the one they use even know their nice people, their prices are way over extreme. We just had a new baby we arent wanting to spend in the hundreds just to get a couple hospital photos.

carmel collins

Everyone at summerlin hospital was very nice I appreciate everyone that took care of me. Thank u again

Healing Hands

I love this hospital! I live closer to Mountain View and Centennial, yet I drive all the way to this hospital. The staff is fast and they care about you. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone. Especially those with children. As a mother I want my child to be seen fast! I have been in and out after a little over an hour!

Mil Kred

I had my thyroid surgery for the first time at Summerlin Hospital and I have to stay for 1 night. My room nurse was very slow in responding their patient’s need. Imagine I have to wait 15 -30 minutes for my room nurse. I was in pain because I couldn’t urinate because of the side effect of the general anesthesia and when I walk I get nauseated. when I call the nurse(button) because I want to go to the toilet, I have to wait 15 minutes for her to come. My bladder that time was very full and it was super hurt and I am crying for pain.I told her to give me a straight Cath or Foley bag cath. She called her fellow nurse and take her another 15 minutes and not just that she has to scan my bladder plus call the doctor at 12mid because of that catheter. I can’t believe them. They are nurses, they should know intake and output of the patient especially before and after surgery. I was not happy of the service at summerlin hospital.

Enrique Reyes

Visit Hospital at April /5/2019 very nice , clean - I was there to take care my wife while she have surgery , staff nice respect professional of communicated, they are very good to take care the patients

Pat Fautt

I was very pleased with the care I received by the Endoscopy staff at Summerlin Hospital. Everyone was very respectful and professional.

Bob Drummond

Surgery went well ICU nurses illegally restrained my hands. for no reason..kept changing down time laying flat ..refused to help me urinate easier..then started in on my blood pressure not giving it time to adjust itself...surgeon assistant also...wanted me to take another type injection to control...ended up doing a AMA because they wanted me to stay..i refused..got home took own BP ...was normal....if next time let me take care of things they do not understand...and stop telling me going to have a stroke...when h in fact it will be them overreacting..otherwise feel healthy

Marveleta Rucker

This will be the 7th surgery I've had a Summerlin Surgical Center. I love this place! The staff is so caring and since I've been there so much, it's like hanging out with great friend. There is nothing I need to ask for as they are on it. Having my surgeries at Summerlin Hospital has made my recovery so much better as I'm at ease and comfortable the whole time. Thank you Summerline Hospital for being there for me, I don't know where I would be if it wasn't for all of you.

Michael Dorsey

Excellent and friendly staff, very clean and efficient

Joseph DeLorge

Nursing staff very friendly and helpful. My procedure went well and I was out by noon. The only bad thing was I left my Fitbit by mistake, when I called they said they would look, never heard back so it must of gotten wrapped up in the bedsheets.

Jacobo Eduardo

Need more professional staff, also need more weel chairs, more beds .receptionist, registration desk very poor service.doctors ecelent service lobby, waiting area very poor .thanks

Madinah Ali

Great service and care! Friendly staff!

Cindy Boone

Phoebe was my RN the 1st day and Hieh was my night nurse. Both were excellent. I don't remember the name of my PT gal, but she was wonderful. Jamie, my CNA was awesome too. Hospital took great care of me! The food, however, was not very good at all.

lois brady

Far ahead of Sunrise Hospital and St. Rose de Lima Sienna from front door to exit. The purple socks were a winner and the purple paper gown was very a refreshing change. All the medical staff in out-patient surgery had the best personalities and a lot of kindness. A+ rating.

Nancy Sirkin

Summerlin ER is our go to for my 91 yo mother. The nurses do their best to keep her comfortable and doctors are great at explaining what test results are and next steps. Once admitted, my favorite doctor is Dr. Albring. He actually listens and collaborates with the family. We have been at various hospitals in LV and he is above far one of the best hospital doctors I've met.

Gerald Sander

Brenda Bey

I truly appreciate being treated as a patient with actual health concerns. The staff was attentive and thorough.

Michael Shepheard

This entire ordeal has been fouled up since I walked in the door. No one knows what anyone is doing and does not care. The needs of the patient is not even on the list. I was roughly treated both physically and mentally. I had major back surgery and one of the CNA who did not know what she was doing physically hurt me the day after the operation. My feet and legs were thrown on the bed from a sitting position, enough that I landed on my side across the bed and hit my head on the hand rail on the opposite side. I have never had pain like this before. Too much more to write as I am still dealing with the pain from that, not the operation but from the treatment.

Carmen Egolf

Recently delivery my baby here via c section. While not our initial plan, the intervention had been necessary and performed spectacularly. Recovery and nurse care was top notch. As my husband observed, “service better than a five star resort”. Everyone had been very caring to help me on the path to recovery and transition into motherhood.

Nikkie Cheek

i usually don;t take the time to leave reviews but considering how exceptional my recent stay was I didn't feel right not leaving one. The staff that watches over all the new mommy's and their baby's seriously deserve the world and then some! They made, and continue to make me feel like family and not just another patient. You can find a group of woman who are from the best schools, have the best experience, reputation, credentials, etc but its very unusual to find a group of woman with genuine hearts and amazing personality's to match. I thank you all so much. To the group of woman who are taking care of my daughter in the NIC-U from the bottom of my heart, I am so very thankful for individuals such as yourselves, it is people like you who keep me hopeful and remind me to keep looking at the brighter side of life as my daughter's remains in your hands. It can be tough to stay positive given the circumstances but you all have made it possible for me and that means more to me than you will ever know! Thanks so much to you all Sincerely, Nikkie, Naylani, Nikayla, & Matthew -The Kozell family

There where two instances that made my stay at this hospital horrible. I was admitted for complex partial seizures, during an episode I was in the middle of a seizure and mind you I’m convulsing but I can hear you , see you but not talk . This is already scary as it is there is a charge nurse named Lisa (older blonde lady) with the most horrible bed side manner I have ever encountered, I was in the middle of the seizure and she was yelling in my face telling the other nurse not to give me Ativan to stop the seizure. Yes it wasn’t a grand mal but are you kidding me? She told the nurse 3 times nope I’m not giving it to her see she’s coming out on her own! After this episode I told the other nurse that I did not want Lisa in my room agian. Lisa then stormed into my room put her arm up on the IV stand and confronted me about the situation in a very aggressive manner. I had just had a seizure so I ordered her out of my room. I had to tell her twice to get out because she wouldn’t drop it. This was both unprofessional and unsafe! She should not be allowed to work as a nurse ever !! And yes you may contact me about this ! The other instance was minor really , compared to Lisa , but while admitted I woke up to two young nurses a male and female speaking back and fourth in a different language! I immediately yelled stop speaking in a different language it’s extremely rude . They shuffled out the door. And later the other nurse told me that it had been explained to them not to do that and why it would be alarming and rude. They where obviously saying things they did not want me or others to understand which is sketchy and unprofessional.

Cj Barfield

They helped me when I needed it and they are fast

Dawn boyer

The ER staff quickly reacted to my husbands symptoms... and saved his life! Everyone involved in his care from the ER through admission to a floor and discharge were amazing and kept us calm during a very critical time in our lives. THANK YOU ALL!

Erika McColley

My intake nurse was a sweet angel. I can’t remember her name I remember she’s pregnant and has a daughter. Let me tell you she took really good care of me. I felt like took my persistent headache seriously and I am thankful!! The doctor great! They tried to find the issue causing my headache instead of pumping me with drugs and shipping me out. Thank you for taking care of me!

Wilma Jason

I love this hospital! I live closer to Mountain View and Centennial, yet I drive all the way to this hospital. The staff is fast and they care about you. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone.

Carlo Pritchard

Was in extreme pain and went to Summerlin Hospital ER. Staff was caring and very professional, treated with thought, consideration and understanding quickly and efficiently.

Ashley Benson

I’ve had a difficult pregnancy journey after the stillbirth of my daughter October 2018. I’ve had multiple trips to the Labor and Delivery Triage and the nurses and doctors have always been so kind and so very informative. Definitely couldn’t do this without them. I can’t wait to deliver my baby here.

Terri Horn

Went to ER . Check in was very fast. Everybody was so kind, happy, and such a professional staff. They made my scary situation, comforting. They were truly awesome, and I would give ten stars, if possible. Thank You, so very much, to ALL the staff.

John Schmidt

The ER nurses and doctor were the best. Qualty care as busy as they were. Kept us informed as to my wife's status and the testing was done quickly with the results posted asap. Our nurse (Rae) was on top of the program. One minor hitch....my wife had to decide to either stay OVN or go home to self cure. I was out of the room when the Dr visited as my wife decided to go home. We were handed a sheet with instructions (appreciated) however once home the instructions were for hospital treatment not for home use.

Dennis Cressler

Nurses are great in the oncology department and Dr Maity is wonderful. I always feel like they care about me and Im not just another patient like some other hospitals can be like. Checking is always easy. Great hospital.

Wanda Scott-Smart

I experience excellent care and treatment during my visit to Summerlin Hospital last week. I did experience excruciating pain after my surgical procedure, but that was my doctor's decision and not the staff. After about 12 hours, and I was feeling better, the staff attended to my every request.

The staff here are all amazing. Everyone is always smiling & willing to do whatever it takes to help you in any way they can. The doctors take the time to listen & help with the issues. The only negative comment is the food menu. This is 2019 & the menu needs serious updating. Things like powered creamer, margarine & much more need to be updated. I am of the belief that the menu needs a complete overhaul. Summerlin Hospital is definitely a 5 star facility. Please address the dietary/menu issues. Thank you for the opportunity to share.

Lynn Blaylock

The nurses were amazing. I’ve never felt such sincerity in my well-being. Everyone did anything and everything to make sure I was taken care of.

Suzanne Desmarais

Josie is an excellent nurse and the surgery staff were very nice.

Faye Arshawsky

Unfortunately we have been there several times this year and I have to say the level of care this time was unacceptable, except the care in emergency was wonderful. While in the room, my husbands plastic urine container stood at the bedside for well over 2 hours, until I asked them to remove it. (I did not want to dispose of it, if they needed to send it to the lab?) We were also waiting to see the Doctor! The nurse paged him or called his office and no one came. Finally after several hours I asked her to call again and tell him we were waiting which she did and finally he came, He did say he was sorry it took so long.. They also called for food at about 1:30 and it came at dinner time, he got 2 trays!!!! It is such a great hospital, if you have to be in one, however this time Summerlin Hospital was not up to their normal good care.

Daniel Galbraith

Great care while I was there.

Had a procedure for my left Knee done yesterday. They have the best staff from the beginning of my journey, from the admitting person (Reggie), to the pre admitting RN (Isi) to my preop nurses (Emerald and Ruby) and to my post of nurses that I don't remember their names because of anesthesia and to all surgical staff RN (Rick) specially Dr. Ong and his Anesthesiologist. Thank you to all the excellence service. Thank you for servicing Las Vegas Community for more than 20 years now.

Let’s start by my iv wasn’t put in the right way the whole night my arm was burning my fingers went numb after 5 minutes , my arm hasn’t stopped hurting since. The nurse or whoever she was at the desk who didn’t want to tell me when I’d get my discharge papers thought shrugging her shoulders was an answer. Really glad these are the kind of people you hire. Won’t ever come jere ever again

Maria Portillo

We received excellent service from everyone, everyone was very kind. We would recommend this hospital to anyone. Thank you Mrs. Maria Portillo

Denise Duplessis

Horrible!! If I have an emergency visit again to hospital it will NOT be Summerlin. Nurse @ intake was professional & quick, but once I was taken to back I sat in a CHAIR for 5 hours. Had to carry my own IV bag to washroom-really what happened to a pole you can role??? At one point I was all alone in the area with 5 chairs & could have died & no one would have noticed!!! When the area became full w/4 other people I could hear all of their information. Privacy?? Doctor was nice, but once again I was there for 6 hours!!! Nurse never came to check on me, nothing!!! Will not returned to this hospital!

Barbara Spotofora

As far as I am concerned, this is the best hospital in Las Vegas. Excellent staff who are all caring and concerned about how YOU feel. Charge nurse came around every day to see if there was anything else he could do. We had a daily assessment of the care I was being given. Everyone, including the kitchen servers, used clothing pick up, etc., or just asking me if I wanted magazines, puzzles, etc. The nurses and their staff really went beyond just care.

Katrina Hancock

Staff was friendly from check in to check out! I'm a nurse an felt like I was in very good hands.

Jennifer Fromhart

I’ve had 3 surgeries at Summerlin Hospital. The latest (7/17) required me to stay over night. My RN’s and CNA’s were great and took great care of me.

Mark Anderson

I had an excellent stay. And they were able to accurately diagnose my problem. They were very kind. Everyone treated me with great respect. And in addition to that they found a surgeon to perform the needed surgery. I would recommend Summerlin Hospital to anyone needing help. Yes, everyone, there was excellent . Thanks again. Sincerely Mark Anderson.

Deborah Martin

Everyone was pleasant and efficient.. the wait time in pre-registration seemed excessive. On surgery day I wasn’t made aware of my time being changed. A little communication would go a long way. Otherwise a positive experience.

Cindy Haga

Everyone was very nice and helpful during my surgery. Everything was explained and they took good care of me.

Pat LeMay

I was seen immediately, an xray was taken and I was released within hours. Everyone was very professional and courteous.

Mindy Claro

I came in with horrific sciatica pain for 2 days straight, and all I wished for was a more bedside manner where I felt they could have related and had been more sympathetic. First dat 9/11/19 was okay seeing that they gave me meds and an x-ray. But I had to ask a passing ped nurse for some warm compress for my back. Day 2 was dying pain (reaches a level 12). I pretty much sat for 2 hours straight before the doctor came to tell me “sadly it hurts, but it will pass” after seeing a CT scan done 1 1/2 hours prior.. I had to sit, stand, cry, and Moab in pain - no offer of warm compress, just more meds.

Diane Spinks

Came in for an emergency appendectomy. Everyone at the hospital, from ER staff, nurses, CNAs and all the doctors, was so kind and caring. It was a very good experience.

C. Wenzel

Everyone was very helpful and made the experience really good for having surgery.

Kasey Hackmeister

Our perinatal specialist told us we would need to proceed with an induction with about 6 hours notice. So, we showed up at midnight as we were told. We were almost turned away, even though the induction was for medical reasons, because somehow the information wasn't communicated well. This was our first introduction to the hospital and staff and already information had been lost in translation. During triage, I did feel that our nurse did a great job and was attentive and friendly. But, during my three hours in triage, I ended up hearing what I assume was another doctor just outside the curtain complaining about me being there and my doctors for how they handled getting me there. I'm sure this doctor was having a bad or stressful night (I'd been told there were quite a few emergency labors coming in that night) but it made me feel unwanted as a patient, which continued through the next couple days. After we were placed in a labor room, we received excellent care from our nurses, both the night and day nurses. One in particular, Erin, was amazing and was there with me at the end of the 28 hours of induced labor when I was screaming in pain. During that 28 hours, I did eventually request an epidural. The anesthesiologist who placed the epidural was great and did an amazing job. He and the nurses helped me stay calm and comfortable. After that, I was supposed to be able to use the button to receive more pain medicine through my epidural. I explained several times to the anesthesiology tech/nurse after the line was placed that the button was not working and I was on a roller coaster of pain. For literally almost a full day, I had to convince her to give me the pain management medicine directly in the port because the button on the wall wasn't working. Eventually my labor became complicated. I had muscles in my back and neck seizing and locking up and because of the roller coaster of pain that I was in from the miscommunications with the epidural, I was quite literally screaming in pain. It took my husband requesting that they communicate with my doctor about proceeding with a C-Section. The option hadn't been offered to us, even though we were in the 28th hour of labor. After the C-section, our baby was brought to us. A lactation nurse came in brusquely and spent maybe 30 seconds at most with me. Apparently it hadn't been communicated to her that I take regular medications for an autoimmune condition, one of the medications being Adderall. She didn't clarify with me when I'd last taken my Adderall, the dosage, or whether I'd consulted with my OB and perinatal specialist about it. Instead, after the 30 seconds and at the first mention of Adderall being part of my usual regimen, she told me to not breast feed and left. She didn't explain what to do with the lactation that I would inevitably experience, who to talk to for more information, what to look for as far as mastitis, or any tips on how to dry up my milk supply. She also didn't consult with a pediatrician or OB about whether or not I really could breast feed and even the most bare minimum follow up on her part would have informed her that I take a small enough, extended release dose to allow for me to breast feed. It took our pediatrician 30 seconds to figure it out which means the lactation nurse we had at the hospital would have only been bothered for a total of 1 minute. Overall, she seemed irritated to even be there with us and because of her lack of effort, our newborn missed out on the important colostrum from the first few days of lactation and I did end up getting a severe case of mastitis requiring antibiotics. The nursing staff we had in the recovery wing was overall great, except the first night. I had just experienced 28 hours of induced labor and a C-section, yet I was consistently forgotten when it came to pain management. I had to remind them of my next dose and request pain management medication 2+ hours past when it was due, putting me right back on a pain roller coaster.

The ICU was excellent. The PCU was lacking services on the last few weekends nighttime nursing staff seemed lazy. Couldn't get help when needed. No staff was at desk area when called in on phone it rang more then 10 minutes then was answered by a respiratory nurse who couldn't find the nurses in charge of my husbands rm. This needs to be addressed to help next patient that gets stuck on the 4th fl pcu unit.

Tony Amato

I was told to go to Summerlin ER by my doctor, and glad I did. I was greeted by the front desk staff promptly and professionally. Afterwards being admitted the nurses were also very professional and pleasant. I was in an out timely and I appreciate the cleanliness of the ER, thank you.

Mark Smith

A overall great experience. The nursing staff was awesome and hospital is very nice. The only issue I had was the communication with the doctor. Was not informative after the procedure.

On Friday, August 2nd I woke up at 10:30 pm in agony, extreme pain, and severe pain enough to keep me on the ground. At 3am I came to this Hospital for help, soon as I walked in I told the emergency admin I couldn’t stand due to the severe pain level I was at which was a 10! They told me to walk around to the back door.... No rushing no fast pace walk just took there sweet time. As I sat in pain the admin asked questions and I told her my right calf and lower back is beyond pain. Long story short I was told by the Doctor they wanted a CT scan despite having my primary requesting an MRI. They the Hospital stated they do not have a MRI machine lol wow really your a Hospital and don’t have one. Then being told they think it’s a Sciatica, they recommended some injections and pain meds which did not work. I then was told to head home, I came in with extreme pain and left in extreme pain. Even the admin said on my way out your still in pain? Really you don’t see the tears dropping from my eyes and the sweat coming off my forehead. I cannot believe they allowed me to leave in this agony! I also found out it can be a bulging disc or worse. All I will say is if I find out more and they refused to help lawsuit! Over charge patients in pain and have them leave in extreme pain! F this Hospital! What’s truly interesting it wasn’t busy in this Hospital l! I should’ve of gone to UMC! I will never come here again!

Sandra Gray

This is the best hospital and so close to where we live. I've been in there three times in the last 2 1/2 years. Not to my liking, but everything they do is first class and so personal. The staff is so friendly and wanting to make you feel comfortable and especially warm. There gowns are not the old fabric but a new disposable gown that can we removed for surgery at the shoulders with Velcro, but the most important feature was the hose that hooked up after surgery when I woke up and felt warmth all over. IT WAS JUST THE BEST FEELING IN THE WORLD. Don't want to go back for anything, but I know they are there, as I age... if I need future hospital care.

joh123gi

My experience was very good , I was very happy and glad the staff were so nice and efficient . I was very comfortable the whole time.

Joe Tompkins

I want to express my feelings on my hospital stay at Summerlin Hospital. Every person I came into contact with was wonderful. Especially two of my day nurses Silvia and Jeri. They were both extremely knowledgeable about my condition. I learned more from them than the doctors. My only complaints about my stay was within the three days I was on my back not one person offered to help me wash up and not once did my bedding get refreshed. My biggest complaint was the food. I realize I was on a cardiac diet but twice I was fed chicken breasts that if had fallen on the floor would have bounced back up to my tray. Dry white rice cold veggies and that's being nice. For breakfast I got a 1/4 in thick piece of turkey sausage and some fried potatoes. Fruit and was given milk that was on my list of allergies. Thank you. Please make sure those two nurses are recognized and also a nurse trainee named Mike.

Donna Jackson

My friend had surgery here. The staff was very professional, nurses was nice and the hospital was clean

Brian Mason

What a sad excuse for an ER! I reluctantly went in because I thought I had a heart attack. Everyone was very nice but I was given a quick EKG then sent to the waiting room for 2 hours!!! I finally left and had to leave the wires attached on front desk because the 3 ladies working at desk were standing in the back area chatting so there was no one to tell I was leaving. Hopefully I didn't actually have a heart attack but may never know. I would NEVER willingly go back to this ER or hospital again!!

Linda O'Brien

I would highly recommend Summerlin Hospital!!! I was treated well both before my outpatient surgery as well as afterwards!

Shelly Inman

Hospital, ER, staff- 5 STARS Caring, professional, and thorough. Seriously, the best hospital/ER experience one could ever pray for. Keep up the great work Summerlin!!!

Thomas Chee

The nurses were so wonderful. The staff, specialists, doctors, and nurses saved us, especially during a dangerous, stressful experience when my pregnant girlfriend had complications giving birth to our seven pound daughter and she had to go into emergency surgery. My girlfriend thought she was going to die. She lost a lot of blood. The nurses were insightful, brilliant, well trained, and highly educated, they all took such great care of my girlfriend, while still taking care of my baby girl to make sure that our daughter's blood sugar was healthy. They constantly helped, checked on both mother and daughter all the time, every hour, and made sure that everyone was safe at all times. Exceptional group, fabulous team, we highly recommend the care that new mothers, families, and children receive at The Birth Place at Summerlin Hospital. Summerlin is the best place to give birth in Las Vegas, Southern Nevada.

Sid Joseph

The staff was fine. I was very glad Dr. Bomman put me on the nebulizer. I required an MRI and that took a day and a half and that is not satisfactory. The radiology department has to be the busiest dept in the hospital and it seems everyone waits. The staff said that the hospital only had one machine. I am sure the machine has more than paid for itself. A hospital is supposed to be a place you go for help and understanding. You do not get it from the radiology department. I am not blaming that dept. Where the blame lies is with management. Another machine or something should be done to relieve this problem. I have been at this hospital more than once and it has always been the same. I know that by my complaining it will not do much good, but that's how I feel.

Richard Poirier

What a beautiful facility. The doctors were extremely professional and the nurses were the very best. Thank you all.

Mildred Y Taylor

Admissiom was quick, wait for doctor was reasonable, Dr Sun was friendly and polite and informative. Rest of staff were all also efficient and friendly. My stay was acceptably short.

Evan Corey

This is a great hospital, I was seen quickly with no wait and everyone especially the older lady who gave me great advice and were very reassuring.

Bryan Thompson

The staff treated me like family. The therapist were very good at what they did and encouraged me when I felt depressed about my situation. The food was really good too. I would recommend Summerlin Hospital with no hesitation.

Everything went smoothly from registration to procedure to recovery to going home.

The billing department, the business office, customer service are really rude. They don't know what they are doing. I called multiple times regarding their payment plan. They are rude, hang up on me. They do not want to provide me any information while i am the responsible party, they keep transferring me to different departments. The communication is not clear, their call center is too loud. They sent a huge bill and don't want to work with me. That's simple. I am not a US Citizen, that's not my country. So, Summerlin hospital will not get paid. The USA medical system here is a scam and a shame. If you want to see how medical system works properly go to Canada and Europe.

Dorothy Rojas

In 2014 I was in here for 2 months after being hit by an SUV because umc was trying to kick me out with no where to go. they have given me the best care and explained everything to me if I had questions even when they where busy. While I was there They even did occupational and physical therapy. They even helped me find help so when I got out of the hospital I would have a roof over my head cause I lost my job cause of the accident and made sure I would have someone there to help when I got out. They let my daughter stay with me in til the day I was released. The day I was supposed to be released I wasn't feeling well and got very cold so they did more tests they found 3 blood clots 1 in each leg and 1 in my right lung. They took the extra time to start me on Coumadin about two weeks after they released me. Transported me to my apartment and set everything up for me. I had the best care and the best food.

Jessica Sanchez

I had a great experience when I went. They got me in and out with in an hour and helped me relieve the pain I was in.

billy stringer

Went to the er at 11pm they did ct scan and bloodwork I had a migraine and nausea abdominal pain....they were friendly and alert due to my horrible memory I can't remember the name of the nurses or dr. With the big red hair ...she was nice and informative seing I was in panic mode....she was very nice and had a wonderful experience I drove far far out of my way so I would not have to go to centinnial that's 5 min from my house....they have absolutely horrible reviews I cant believe they walk around like that !

Betty Haggen

Summerlin Hospital nurses in the Endoscopy/Surgery department are so kind and efficient. I was very nervous about having the procedure done but the nurses calmed me down and explained everything I needed to know about what was going to happen. They were so nice and made me feel so at ease. Those nurses were the best that I have seen since my ten years of living here in Henderson. Would I go to Summerlin Hospital again? ABSOLUTELY!

Tasha Roy

I recently had to have a emergency c-section and had to be sent here to have my son from the time we walked in till the time me and my husband left we were treated so well by the staff and all of the nurses and the food services workers to the house keeping staff everyone we came across was so nice to us it made our stay so wonderful it took our mind off what we were going through...

Patti Battani

Excellent service and staff Co-pay seemed extremely high (THT)

Cole Concoby

This is the best, everyone is all soooooo nice here. I am one of the patients there right now and I love it they are so kind.

Larry Rose

Absolutely terrific staff and cardiac testing personnel.

MaryMarino850 Marino

wonderful nurses and staff at this hospital. they took such good care of me in their outpatient surgery center.

Jeff Grill

My keys that were removed from around my neck during X rays were not returned to me and I am upset by this. The level of Cate given was very good.

Jasmine Summers

This was my first visit to this hospital and I really liked my experience. I was told to come in due to preterm labor and was sent to labor and delivery quickly with minimal wait. The nurse staff was very attentive and made sure I had everything I needed. They had the information from my Obgyn and stayed In contact with him the entire time so I didn’t have to constantly repeat why I was here. I had originally planned to go to a different hospital but ended up registering here as I liked it so much. I was discharged the next day with no issue and plan on returning quite soon once the baby arrives.

David Webb [Clark HS]

Great service. Very timely.

Nicole Zenchak

The process to pre-register prior to surgery made the day of surgery go very smoothly. I showed up the day of surgery, had a short wait before going back to get my IV and go into surgery. The nurses were fantastic. I felt comfortable and taken care of. They were friendly and kept me advised during my stay. The process of being discharged was very prompt and their valet system is the best every. We received a text message valet ticket and could request our car from inside the hospital. When I was being wheeled out my husbands car was being pulled up with the air conditioning running. All around a great experience.

Sonora Hertneck

I cannot understand any of the negative reviews on here! Summerlin Hospital pediatric unit took EXCELLENT care of my 1 year old son!! We were just discharged last night after a 5 day stay, and they took the utmost care of him. I knew that he was in really good hands. They also addressed any concerns that I had and made sure he was well enough to go home again. The nurses and doctors were absolutely amazing. Thank you so much!

Barb Hoyt

We brought our daughter to the ER when she sprained her ankle this past Saturday and that was the best ER experience I have ever had. The staff was friendly quick and efficient. They did the xrays right in the room and gave her a cast, scripts and brace and we were out in no time. I expected to be there all nigh . I'm so thankful we were no . I will use this hospital in the future always if ever needed .

Barbara Riemenschneider

My 96 year old mother was a patient there. The 3rd floor nurses Amber, Christine and student Alby took such fantastic care of her. All of the staff I met were great.

Adella Keefer

Thank You Everyone! for being so very friendly & professional.

Paco Gonzalez

Best hospital and medical center in Nevada. Beautiful facilities and excellent care! Thank you.

Shaliza Moore

Fast and professional service, everything was explained in detail. I will always be grateful for the job these men and women do throughout the hospital all the way from clean parking lot courteous Valet attendant, to clean lobby's with minimal wait times. Excellent!

Andi Biecher

Summerlin has the most amazing maternity ward. Labor and delivery and post partum have the most amazing staff I have ever expirenced. They were incredibly attentive and made the whole process very enjoyable. I will have all my future baby's at summerlin. My experience was amazing from the second I walked through the door to triage till the second they discharged us. I would highly recommend having your baby at summerlin!

tyrone cromwell

Very nice clean hospital. Staff very friendly and professional.

Bob Fullmer

The staff was amazing. From the checkin process, the procedure and check out were the best. My nurse was top drawer.

Valerie Oill

I felt sick at home and thought I was having a stroke. I was very weak and I called 911. A Ambulance arrived and checked me out and brought me to the Summerlin HospitalMedical Center. The Paramedics were so wonderful and tried to keep me calm. They were terrific. I was brought to the ER. So many ER nurses, and doctors attended to me. They were so comforting and did all the tests they could while down in the ER. They were there for me . The Dr. Raj Sonani came in and told me what they were going to do until I was transferred upstairs. They wanted me to stay overnight to make sure l was cleared to go home. The nurses upstairs were Helen and CNA Malou. They were with me through the night and checking on me. Did my vitals and gave me medication. The morning nurses were Ranae and CNA Arlyn I had more twsts in the morning and a physical therapist arrived and checked me out. Dr, Raj Sonani came in and said everything was fine. And released me. The care I received was so thorough and the doctors, nurses, CNA's were so professional and caring .All the technicians who did my tests were so kind and explained everything that was going on. I know I had the best care. The food they served me was terrific. This is a Hospital that is very organized and has really great professional. I am so glad I was brought there for my problem. They all did a fantastic job.

Charlie None

The nurses & workers were great & very helpful but the food was not to good & room wasn’t the clean. If I had a choice I take Spring Valley Hospital on Rainbow much cleaner & food was much better.

Bonnie Bloss

Check in personnel are so pleasant and quick. Outpatient surgery center has everything down to a science. Perfectly synchronized! Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Surgery went well and kudos to my Dr. McDermott.

Sonia Houston

Thank you for a wonderful stay!! I have zero complaints, the entire staff was friendly & totally focused on my care. CNA Christian, special kuddos to you!!

Rick Karstedt

The employees at Summerlin Hosp are awesome . The. RN's were very helpful and are always available if you need them ..The patient beds are to small especially for anyone over 6ft. Other then that, no complaints.

Brea

During my time in the hospital, I was treated amazingly well. Both the doctors and nurses were kind, gave me the proper care that was needed, and helped me have a healthy delivery. I highly recommend.

Mike Cintron

Scheduled for surgery this morning, brought down to surgery waiting room where I waited two and a half hours before being told that the surgery was called off because an anaestigiolist could not be found. Hopeing to have the surgery tomorrow (Sunday) but because it's Labor Day weekend I may have to wait until Tuesday. 5 day hospital stay to have a toe amputated

Jay

Just wanted to share my beautiful experience as a new father with the delivery of my girl being done by summerlin hospital. They were wonderful from beginning to end. The nurses were really proactive in all capacities. We would definitely deliver our second child at summerlin once again. Thank you for what you do!

Lawrence Ennis

Entire staff were personable and well informed. Dr Craig Hunter is AMAZING.

Melissa Metais

The surgical staff, nurses and doctors were absolutely amazing. They made me feel super comfortable before and after my surgery. Thank you Summerlin Hospital.

Terry Weber

Was seen fast, with all reguards the hospital emergency staff took great care of me

Amir Egel

My wife and I had our baby here. The staff did not respect our wishes in our birth plan after saying they would. The doctor was late, there was no laborist on call, and my wife was told to “hold it in”. The doctor walked in and, caught the baby and was going to clamp the cord when the Doula and my mother’s wife said “no, wait” and he clamped the cord anyway. My mother in law asked to at least cut the cord, the doctor pushed her aside (90 lbs woman) and continued to cut the cord. The baby was then wiped of the protective layer of vernix even though it was against our approved birth plan. Horrible experience, don’t believe a word they say. Go somewhere else...

Arctic Bosun

Summerlin Hospital along with its sister hospital Henderson Hospital, as well as Mike O'Callaghan Hospital equally rank as the best three hospitals in Las Vegas. All hands at Summerlin Hospital were clinically professional and efficient during my recent Oct 2019 procedure. Two nurses were particularly impressive. "Kim" who processed me in. "Connie" who processed me out. To: Summerlin Hospital executives: Summerlin Hospital employees are the best that can be recruited. You will want to retain them.
