Local google reviewer here: DON’T COME HERE.
I came in with symptoms relating to what could be a hernia combined with back pain. I was brought in the back and told to sit and wait.
(Sitting obviously being one of the most painful tasks at the time) The chairs are definitely far from comfortable. Moved about 3-4 times and then given xrays as they assumed I had a herniated disk.
After the xrays I was told to go back into the ER waiting room and sit again. After waiting 20 minutes a woman approached me and asked for my insurance.
Then explained my visit would be $100. After payment I was pulled into the back and spoke with a doctor who explained their hypothesis is that I pulled a muscle in my back. I began to explain that I respectfully disagreed, explaining my symptoms were more from my abdominal area than my back.
After a few minutes of talking he cracked down and explained that the hospital actually doesn’t have the options available to properly diagnose my symptoms. Adding that I must go through a primary care physician for treatment. I was frustrated that I actually had to push for the truth to come out.
I was called a few days later by the hospital to schedule an appointment with a doctor covered by my insurance within the area. They called the office with no avail and told me they would contact me back once the doctor contacted them.
A week later, I receive a call from the hospital, asking if I would like to go through the process again. Confused, I agreed, as I’m going on 3 weeks without proper treatment. They called the exact same doctors office and spoke with a gentlemen only to find out the doctor recommended by the hospital is no longer covered by my insurance. I asked what my next option was or if they recommended another doctor and they said the rest is up to me.
In retrospect, I paid $100 for an X-ray of my back, and wasted over a weeks time seeking medical attention.
THANKS MOUNTAIN VIEW FOR THE HYPOTHESIS AND WASTE OF TIME
