F these clowns!!! They wasted 210$ and still couldn't manage to get the sliver out of my dogs paw. He is worse off as a direct result of this wanna be vet!!! They were shown the exact location of entry and decided to cut it open in a completely different location... They wanted to charge me to do it all over again!! Pissed off customer!! Do not go here!!!

I lived in Fernley for 3 years I was going to another vet here and I was not happy all, My mother and sister take their dogs to Moffitt animal clinic and I LOVE the friendly staff the vet Mr.Moffitt him self is a great man he explained everything in detail and made sure that we understood everything before we left his off. It's a great place I will continue to keep going there!!!

If I could give 0 stars I would. The voicemail says to call a cell phone number for an emergency. The voicemail on the cell phone says they answer after 7:30am. I waited until 7:30 and called the number a million times. No answer. So at 8 I finally left for the emergency vet in Reno. My dog didn’t even make it to USA parkway! If this jerk’s voicemail didn’t say he’d answer we wouldn’t have waited and my dog might be alive today. Change your voicemail you liar!!!!!! I don’t know how you sleep at night. I will never ever take any of my other pets to this vet.

New to the area after moving up from Smith Valley. My wife and I were 'gifted' a rescue animal & were waiting to bring him in to get neutered & checked out since Moffitt didn't have time yet. We took our new dog to the river with our 2 others & after running through some brush he started yelping wildly & uncontrollably while shaking his head - something was wrong with his ear and we couldn't figure it out. My new dog was yelping and screaming constantly for 30 minutes as we were driving back into town & tried to bring him to the vet only to find out Moffitt was too busy to care. We tried explaining that he was in serious pain & they only told us to try to wait for a day or two for the next appointment. Obviously not interested in trying to help a poor rescue dog that was in serious pain. The vet in Fallon made time & removed a foxtail from my dog's ear within 45 minutes for a very reasonable price. I'll use the Fallon vet from now on. I'll never go to Moffitt ever, even if they paid me to bring my animal here.

This is our vet of choice here in Fernley. Unfortunately I think they have become a little overwhelmed with volume of clients. We've had our share of bad and good experiences and for this I'll only give a 3 star review at this time. I have to say our last visit was because our fur baby was very sick. And they did an amazing job on taking care of him.

I have some very tragic news everyone. For those of you that knew my beautiful lil Shadow dawg, I'm very sad to say that he will be leaving us to a much better place on Sunday. We found out today that he has a tumor growing entirely around his intestines. I cant sit and watch him suffer and I cant put him or myself through the emotional turmoil of multiple surgeries that might not even work. The thing that hurts the most is knowing that there was a chance I could've done something about it sooner had I known how severe his problems were. We had known that he was having diarrhea and puking a lot so I had hoped it was just part of a toy that he ate. I took him to Moffit here in fernley.

I took my precious fur baby because of sudden weight loss, no interest in food or water, sleeping non stop and slow movements...took blood panels, urine sample and told me he was healthy...next day took him back because of no change, didn’t do any more testing just gave him fluids for slight dehydration...charged me $410 for those two days and told me he has no answers as to why my dog was in the shape he was in...I took him to a different local Vet the next day, did a blood panel and she told me she’s pretty sure he has Addison’s Disease...took more panels and shipped it out for testing to confirm...sure enough my baby has this disease and is in the critical stage...they quickly started the meds for this disease and is hopeful for a turn around within 48 hours...TWO visits to Moffitt, no answers and sent me home with my dying dog! ONE visit to Animal Care and she knew what was wrong...now if my dog was diagnosed Monday which it is now Friday he would not have been in the critical stage of Addison’s Disease...not even had the decency to see how my dog is doing, not even having the heart enough to call me back with numerous voice mails with my concerns that he wasn’t getting better...AND refusal of faxing his blood panel to the other Vet!!!! Please do not take your babies to this Vet, if you love them I highly suggest Animal Care....

Moffitt Animal Clinic takes very good care of the non human portion of my family and takes the time to make sure the humans understand and are comfortable with the treatment(s) given. The people - front office staff, vet techs, veterinarians, etc. - are all professional, friendly, knowledgeable and caring. On the rare occasion one of my fur children has needed to be seen right away due to worrisome symptoms, they found a way to fit us in - no matter how busy they were - and gave the same great service, time and care of a scheduled appointment. I am very pleased with Moffitt Animal Clinic and feel my fur babies are in good hands.

We took our pug in to get his nails done. They charged us the amount for a "difficult" animal. They had my fur baby in and out. There really wasn't any difficulty at all. We feel that we were overcharged and won't be returning. I'm very disappointed that they did that to us as we are on a limited budget.

Had to take my Yorkie to an Emergency Vet late in the eve. Requested all test results to be sent to Moffitt. They called me in the early am for an appt so the Vet could discuss options. She was suffering and had liver disease. We took her in and had to say goodbye. The staff was very kind and caring.

We rescued a Great Dane puppy a few weeks ago from a couple in Reno. This was her 1st visit with us to a vet. She was very nervous to even walk through the door. They have three vets and are open Saturdays so in an emergency I can get my dog in even if it's not with Dr. Brim. I'm very happy with their practice.

My first visit with Moffitt Animal Clinic was in 2016 shortly after purchasing a Victorian Bulldog for my wife. We wanted a local vet to examine our new addition to our family and the staff was so nice and outgoing that after our first visit we knew this would be our go to vet! My family consist of five fur babies. Three cats and two dogs currently. Over the years when we decided to add a boxer dog to my family our local breeder also used this same local vet. Upon that information it helped influence we were making a great choice in choosing our boxer and Moffitt Animal Clinic has been the only vet our boxer has seen. Recently our Victorian Bulldog needed emergency assistance after noticing she was not acting normal. After a few visits within a few days the results after a few test were that our Bulldog needed surgery to remove a clog. Having a family member in surgery of course is nerve racking for anyone but Moffitt Clinic did a great job staying in contact with updates and really saved her life. My Boxer after a year needed surgery to remove a mole that was possible cancer and they were just as great then when we needed them. I thank all the employees at Moffitt Animal Clinic for all your services as well as my family.

We have 2dogs a (chipmunk on crack) aka chihuahua and jack Russell terrier and the other is a German Shepard. Both of our dogs actually like to go see the veterinarian and all the other people that work there. They are so kind and caring and very gentle with the animals. They have a very clean facility including the dog potty run. They’re prices are very fair. In fact we drive more than 50 miles to utilize they’re services,we would rather drive to Fernley than to utilize our local vet in Yerington. Thank you for the opportunity to tell everyone. My dog was acting like she had a foxtail in her nose. I know this can become serious so I contacted several vets in the area trying to get help. No one would see her for an emergency appointment until I called Dr. Moffitt’s office. They got her in immediately and reassured me that she was going to be fine! Horrible! I took my little sweetheart in, she was expecting, and the staff wasn't very friendly at all. I was a bit shocked by this because while there I explained that we were new to the area and needed a new vet. We left that day, and a few days later our little bundles arrived, I called to make a puppy appointment for our little munchkins, they knew who I was, and I was put on hold for twenty minutes and then hung up on. I called back and was hung up on again. It wasn't a call 'failed', but rather a 'call ended'. I called back about fifteen minutes later. I told them that someone hung up on me, the girl sounded guilty, and nervous, she was indeed the same girl I spoke with, this being the third time. She gave me some information, but was abrupt with no apology. I remembered back to our first appointment and some comments that were made to us about my fur baby and her condition. 'She looks miserable', looking us over critically- it was odd. Nothing remotely caring was said during our visit, to our little girl or to us. Our family has four French Bulldogs, one 16 yr old boxer. Two of our pets are fixed, and one has very extensive health issues, we as a family has spent a lot for their care. Our fur kids travel with us and are never alone- yes we are those pet owners. I don't feel like Moffett wants to care for every pet and welcome customers without judgement. I know they were turning up they're noses because our little one was expecting. I think they need to add another scripture to their wall, "Judge not lest you be judged." Our family has found wonderful care at North Hills Vet clinic in Reno. They love seeing our fur kids, and always treat us with respect and care. Even our little one that has had two surgeries, she still enjoys her visits there. For our family, we will make the drive.

Absolutely the worst vet I have ever been to. My dog gets ear infections a few times a year. The vet here would prescribe medication with refills, then deny the refills when I came in there for more medication. The only reason I gave them one star is because I couldn't give them zero. Spend your hard earned money at the other vet in town... They are MUCH better!

It's rare we have to wait long for the veterinarian. When it did happen it was because another animal came in with a medical emergency.

We love our vet back home but found this visit to an unfamiliar vet and excellent experience for our kitty and us. Concerned about our kitty's health. We are from out of state.Receptionist was very empathetic, conferred with vet who had surgeries scheduled but made time for our pet to come in that very morning. The office is easy to find. Waiting and exam area very clean and pet friendly. Staff friendly and efficent ,very caring, gentle , knowledgeable, reassuring. Dr. Moffitt was so very gentle while examining kitty, he actually laid calmly on exam table purring. Dr. Moffitt gave clear summary on results of his exam. easy to follow treatment recommendations , and symptoms to watch for. No unnecessary testing or expenses. I highly recommend this veterinarian. This clinic loves animals and understands their human companions.
