Wife was admitted to the ICU the care she received was amazing the entire staff was awesome. I have been in and out of a few military hospitals and this was the best experience my family has received to date. Thank you to all the ICU staff you guys keep rockin it!!! Love the fact you guys express that you genuinely actually care and don’t treat us like another number. Semper Fi!!!

Nellis has been upgraded to a full MEDICAL CENTER. They have all specialties (Endocrinology, Cardiology).

ER staff have no sense of urgency and the front desk is very rude, but SOME of the nurses and Dr.'s are pretty good...even when every single one of their faces looks as if they could careless about being there!!!

Kyle Steffen

Terrible doctors that's don't listen, instead of talking to a doctor your more than likely going to speak to a nurse practitioner that doesn't have the slightest clue what they are talking about. Be prepared to be here all day. Every unit is understaffed and undertrained. I've personally waiting at 3 or 4 appointments for an hour or more after my actual appointment time. You'll never see your child's ultrasound either, apparently this is the standard practice here. They will lie to you about a marriad of things, from why the doctors are so late to why your husband is not permitted in the ultrasound room. Everyone is rude, and does not show any interest in actually helping you with your problem, they just want you in and out and be done with you. Nellis AFB has a huge problem on their hands and we are powerless to fix it.

The service I've received here is more thank I expected. The staff is very courteous and friendly and on time, EXCEPT the lab and pharmacy! Their wait time is horrible and could be better. However, this is the best hospital that I know. I'm very pleased.

They are great...Saved my life in 2016(P.E.) in both lungs...Thank you guys for everything...

Over Crowded, slow, and rude customer support. The doctors are good but the admin positions are bad, especially in the pharmacy

Why does the picture of the map, not match the streets it says to take .. it's on 4700 N. Las Vegas Blvd. yet the picture shows it on Main and Nellis .. Come on IT guy get it together

Never a problem my wife and 2 boys all use the hospital. Pharmacy is very slow but with all construction can understand.

I was recently brought to the ER here, unable to eat or drink for ~6 days, and terrified I was dying. I was given some pills to swallow and a bottle of oil to drink. I was expressly clear at my inability to keep *anything* down for nearly a week. The doctor assured me I was fine, to take the medicine as prescribed and if it didn't work, come back and he would have me admitted. I went home, vomited up everything I was sent home with, went back to he ER the next afternoon to be called a "drug seeker" to my face, despite never asking for any drugs and told to sit in the waiting room for 10 minutes while they prepared the room for me. Six hours later, I convinced my husband to leave. There had been no one in the waiting room for almost two hours, and I was getting worse. I could feel it. I called my civilian doctor who *lost his mind* that I had been calling, emailing, and coming to the ER desperate for help. He had me admitted to a local hospital almost before I arrived there. The issue was found immediately, dealt with by *actual* medical professionals, and after a week of fluids and nutrients, I was allowed to come home. I wish this was the first such horror story in my decade here. Yes, I called the Patient Advocate. Yes, I filed a complaint. Yes, with names, dates, times, and even a chance recording of the airman calling me a junkie. No. I did not receive a call back. No. Nothing was done about it. At. All.

Been going here for the last 4yrs... pediatrics is Great! Immunization n family care thumbs up, ER is awesome! My son had plenty of asthma attacks n had to be admitted once here... they took care of him so well my son came out with so much great memories rather than him remember the bad memories of being sick.... Pharmacy takes a little longer..unless your being released from the ER but no co-pay... works for me!!!! Great job team! Thank you for all your services to keep my family healthy n safe!

All of my health care is on Nellis, I love having a full service hospital and I'll go here for ALL health care needs. My son had surgery in August by Urology, he was professional, had an excellent bedside manner, understood my concerns as a mom and did a great job! My annual visit went flawlessly and she was great too. I love being assigned to a base with a full service hospital on it. 1. ER: I've been here a few times of the course of this year, I've always had GREAT service, been seen quickly, discharged quickly. Followed up with routinely. 2. Out Patient Surgery: My son had a urology surgery here, his doctor was fantastic, he booked all of our follow up visits, called several times to check in on him. TOP NOTCH bedside manner. 3. Family Practice: My PCM is fantastic, she listens to my issue, thinks outside the box, for once in my career and marriage I do not feel like a last 4! 4. Lab: Friendly, polite and quick with what they do. 5. Pharmacy: Polite, helpful, quick and easy! 6. Pediatrics: FANTASTIC, excellent bed side manner as well. I don't have to be seen on base since we live just outside of the time limit, but we CHOOSE to be seen on base because of their excellent level of bedside manner and care. It will ONLY get better as the VA part moves to their own facility.

This has been one of the worst experiences at any hospital I've ever had as a retired 21 year Transgender Veteran. I have been told they're not allowed to cover me because I'm trans which is a complete lie. I tried to go up the chain of command and was completely ignored all the way up to the Commanding Officer. Their patient advocate representative is only an E-5. How much do you think they actually care about their veterans. If you're trans I can answer that. Zero... They literally care nothing about you and will do nothing to allow you to access the healthcare you earned the rest of your life by contract through Service to your Country. It is completely pitiful and completely allowed because our president says trans people aren't human. I issue a challenge to the Commanding Officer to reply and let me know his thoughts for the First Time... And to the Trans Veterans currently serving there... I am proud to call you my Brothers, Sisters, and They/Them. I love you all for your sacrifices you make to this Nation while it tells you your existence is a question. CO! Make sure to treat them better than the ones who have come before them.

We have had fantastic treatment and a lot of help and support when my husband was critically injured last year. He was treated in town for the traumatic injuries, ICU and for the initial surgery, tests and extended hospital stay. Internal Medicine took over after that and we couldn't have done it without them. They picked right up where the hospital care ended. They read his file, followed up with his surgeon and got us through the roughest months of our lives. I cannot express what that means in words. Thank you, all of you for your work, help, copious amounts of paperwork you filled out for us and assistance for finding out where to get everything done. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Worst hospital ever don't give birth here!!!!!! When I was still pregnant they mocked my pains, laughed my epidural my spinal and whatever else they used did not work .As soon as I give birth they treated me like garbage. Rooms are so small and cramped it's like you're in a closet NO JOKE!!!! Room you give birth is great but when they transfer you it is so cramped small. The TV was right behind my head. They got frustrated with me because I wasn't producing enough milk and I requested formula When I was released my mom carried my daughter, my bags , and diaper bag. while I carried my backpack and walked from my room all the way to the parking lot because they didn't want to give me a wheelchair or let my mom pick me up at the entrance. Keep in mind this was Four days after November 11. I had to stay in extra night because my daughter was born at 1:58 AM on Veterans Day. it was raining it was cold and I got sick right away. I'll end it at that because I hate them

Tifftravelstheworld

Thorough doctors and service personnel. Volunteers fast and friendly

Really nice facility. This is the government and, therefore, wait times are a bit long at times. The staff is friendly and relatively easy to work with.

Patricia McCarthy

I've been to this hospital many times, including having had surgery. Every time I have been here it's always been decent. I just got home from taking my brother there. My brother asked the nurse when he would be called back after three hours had passed. They told him four people were in front of him. He had been vomiting since 8:30am this morning and it was now 6:00pm, and he was still vomiting. He waited and waited. They told him when he checked in to not drink anything anymore because they needed to run tests, so he didn't. Four people, five people, ten people passed along with two more hours before my mother went up and asked when he would be able to go up because he was really thirsty and wanted to drink water. She knows that he isn't the person in the most need of help, but after waiting five hours to get seen by a doctor while people have come after him and left it was time to get seen. The nurse said with an attitude that there was a water fountain around the corner, and to go drink it. My mother reminded her that she was told not to allow him to drink anything. One of the doctors overheard my mother asking all these questions and snapped at her saying she needed to go back and sit down. My mother said she wanted answers. The doctor said, "I'm respectfully asking you to go sit down." My mother tried to tell him what was going on because obviously he didn't know what he was talking about. As a patient and mother of the patient, she had the right to know what was going on with her son. The doctor ended up calling the police who escorted her out. My mother told the police what happened and they were great. They talked to the nurse, who said my brother would be next. Another hour passed and he still hadn't been called with five other people going in before him again. My mother went up to the police and said to them that if she goes up to the nurse again they'll think she is yelling at them when she isn't (she has a big voice naturally). The police said they would go talk to them again (they were very nice) and within five minutes he was called back and was out within the hour. We arrived there are 3:00pm and didn't get called back to see a doctor until 10:00pm. People were in and out throughout the entire time. That was the WORST hospital visit I have ever had with this place. The E.R. doctors are some of the worst people you'll ever have to deal with. They don't care about their patients at all. To tell a mother that her son isn't a priority is one of the worst things you can say to a parent.

Melissa Ritter

On base hospital/clinic. It's big. They do have alot to offer. It's convenient. I've had good experiences with same day appointments for my children, as well as checking in for regular scheduled spots, seems like a good spot. Especially of you're living or working on base.

Debbie Gadouas

I get seen faster here than off base when I need Urgent / quick care services. Doctors and Nurses are top notch.

justin leffler

The Er here is awful. There is zero sense of urgency and terrible bedside manner. Even with 2 total patients it still takes forever and when you finally get seen you are undertreated. Avoid it if you can

Jennifer Jorgensen

The absolute worst care I have ever received. The doctors and staff are not well trained, even fewer trained to handle specialty care. The ER is a joke at best with doctors that couldn't care less if they gave a correct diagnosis regardless of the situation. It's overflow for the other clinics on base that either are understaffed and can't handle last minute appointments or simply want to pass the buck. I have very little faith in the opinions, diagnostics of most of the doctors and staff. That being said, for all the bad, there are a few great docs and NPs that really do care and go the extra mile to make you feel cared for and taken care of. It is these few individuals that kept me from giving up on this place all together.

Lazy and ignorant staff. Basically a frat house for people to hang out. Rude staff. Joke of an ER, no emergency training. We are military community deserve more from our healthcare and should demand it!the only reason why this place has a 4.1 star review bevause they inflate their rating with staff rating the place that they work. Beware of the people working in peds!

The service was subpare because it is federal. They have to give service and it is mandatory. Find a high ranking person and you will get good service. I found a nice person to help me and her busy was trying to hard to boot me out of the door. He was new so it normal for that type of behavior. The older you are, the better you will be treated. If you are a typical 20-30 year old than expect rudeness and a cold shoulder. Kids and older people will get great service. Shame it is for military and not for vets, yet old people get the best service. Not for civilians but it is for air force military families.

Universal health care, it's hit or miss.

Good hospital, clean, friendly, professional staff. Pharmacy has revamped their process and has greatly shortened wait time for medication. This is a military hospital so it caters to military and military families. The nation wide frustration with access does affect this hospital like all others in the U.S. I can however see the efforts to cut these challenges.

The rooms are only divided by a curtain so we could hear everything the doctor was saying to the other patients. We had a 8am appointment but did not get seen until 12pm staff was so unorganized. We got asked what we're we there for at least 10 times, even though they had the chart

I’ve never been to a worse hospital in my life. If you are willing to put your own life at risk, then this is the place to go. I recently had the worst experience of my life there with the birth of my last child and they put me and my child’s life in danger. Thankfully I went to centennial hills hospital right after they had sent me home for the 4th time because I really was in labor and getting very ill. The doctors are dumber than a box of rocks and it blows my mind how they can even practice the way they do! It is a shame. I don’t even believe they are actually real doctors. There has been multiple things they have done to my family that would blow your mind and scare you to never be seen there again. My family will never ever step foot in that hospital again to be seen for a damn thing.

I am not sure what is going on but the whole system is horrible. Just to make an appointment seems impossible. I called this morning and and been passed though 4 people who I been waiting to answer and who put me on hold for 20 min each. Each of them asked me bunch of questions and finally told me I am not in their system and I never been in their clinic!! That something new for me! Than the receptionist told me they can see only from last year, ok, not my problem! So imagine that I lost 2 hours on the phone trying to make an appointment just to get that answer?! Who would be ok with that?! Finally they give me next available appointment which I have to wait until April 17 (today is March 29) I was talking on the phone with the nurse ( I am bleeding for about a month now) and he tryied to reach people to give me an appointment in 24 hours, but he said he couldn’t reach anyone! So finally he told me go to emergency. But I can’t sit there for so many hours and wait, because I have to work. Called to make appointment again and the receptionist told me I have to see my primary doctor before I see Gynecologist. So God only knows when I will see Gynocologist. Meanwhile I am bleeding every day. I am still functional, that’s why I don’t go to emergency. We all busy and I just can’t afford not go to work and sit an emergency for so many hours. So all what I am trying to say the whole system is disorganized and no help when you really need it. They just pass you from one person to another and still no use. Frustrated!!

Steven Siler

Great Group of Professional MEDICAL PERSONNEL EVER..

kevin knight

Very pushy about C-sections, they don't listen to you if you want to have a VBAC. Wife bore 2 babies here, both times, doctors ignored her desire for natural birth and used scare tactics to have a c-section. However, their new maternity facilities are very nice and accommodating and most the nurses and doctors are good, except one in particular who has a chip on her shoulder very argumentative and overall has a bad attitude whom I should not name here.

The civilian staff- in compatitate. Father almost died 2-3 years ago. If we were not there for a visit, he would have!!!! They were about to check his blood for diabetes when he doesn't have it. But the guy across the halls feet looks like pig legs!!!!! Military staff - most caring and professional staff I've ever worked with in a hospital setting.

No communication rude maybe 1 or 2 nice other than that a complete nightmare you're starving your medications are messed up and they keep adding someone different coming to tell you what they think the problem. You have to watch out for your own life as they proceed to give you medicines that should not be mixed and others that should never be given to you. Good luck with someone listening to you!

they were so disrespectful and tell all their patients that what they came in for is always most "likely stress". I have seen people go in their and hear them say that then they find out that something is wrong and they are still rude to the patients. and they give pain, nausea, throat medicine out like its candy. they really don't care. I have been in a situation where i had to go in and heard them speak terribly about their other patients. its ridiculous!

Thank you for listening and CORRECTING my concerns. The fact that I was listened to was a big change. The last year some part of the departments have been you could say under new management. The doctor I have now is DR. LAWERANCE and his TEAM in Internal medicine are fantastic. They are the example of professionalism. I know I'm in great hands. Know the rest is on me. Working on that... I have been part of the military live for over 33 year. Some of the best hospitals and hospitals that have saved my life have been military. So please if you have a problem speak up, even if you have to many times. Well I am commenting if you happen to be at the hospital at lunch or dinner. Go down stairs to the basement the cafeteria has some of the best food. It is very inexpensive. I am VERY partial to there soup....yummy Thank you for listening.

This place has the worst clinics that I have ever been too, I do not recommend coming to this Hospital or any clinics in this hospital, They are rude, they make dangerous mistakes that can cost you your life. Again go somewhere else and just pay the CO-PAY!!! Would give zero stars if I could

Horrible hospital and pediatrics is a joke. I’ve been in and out the hospital in between doctor visits for my teenager and all I keep getting is “I’m not a specialist in that area” well today was enough! Once again we got a inexperienced doctor who wanted to try a different medication on my kid. I told him my kid isn’t a damn test subject and please refer her to a specialist. I get the notorious response of “we have to follow protocol” ugh not at the cost of my daughters health you don’t. I asked him for a referral and he tells me “I don’t want you to think I’m discriminating against you” etc. I just asked if he was going to do or not otherwise I was going to file a complaint and call my insurance to change Physicians. He put the referral in finally. I don’t understand why I should you have to be rude. Don’t see why they can’t just be doctors. The non military nurse we dealt with was another pain. She was rude from beginning to end with this arrogance.

I'm sorry for anyone that has to go to this hospital, especially a visit to the ER. This place is unorganized, unprofessional, and i've bad two pretty rough experiences here. One of the ladies in the lab stuck my vein wrong and got mad at me for not having blood come out quick enough? And in the ER the nurse was a horror story I wish I had her name to warn everyone to avoid her. She wouldn't answer my questions, that I have a right to ask and BE ANSWERED BEFORE PROCEDURES TAKE PLACE, and she made very rude snarky comments and laughed in my face when I voiced a concern that she didn't believe was relevant. The only good thing about this hospital is some of the kind ladies in the lab! Avoid this place if you can.

Tom Kaiser

The staff here are outstanding. Their care, concern, professionalism is beyond reproach. I went in hardly breathing, and left feeling better than I had in weeks. Thank you to all the nurses, doctors, and techs.

ER personal were professional. 4 stars. In the hospital, overnight nurse was mediocre - others 5 stars except the doctor (intern) assigned to me; zero stars. Her lack of compassion was only exceeded by her lack of medical knowledge/skills. The medical clinics - last two PCM's 1 star; management/leadership, zero stars, which is generous.

Karen Rosser

Great care, good doctor's, and support services...i.e lab, x-ray, pharmacy, clinics, emergency room, and cafeteria...etc.

This place is a sorry excuse for what a hospital's standard should be. Have never seen such lack of knowledge and complete unproffesionalism in my life.

Great hospital, just really far if your not close like I am.

Referrals take for ever and hard to get seen without taking almost a month.

sarah johnson

I've been to several different duty stations and being married to the military I've always been a civilian. This place is not perfect but out of the handful I've been to it's not bad at all. The wait for labs or pharmacy can be an annoyance but the doctors are on the same page and are on time for the most part. I drive an hour to get here and it's worth it.

Brent Calvin

Renee Donohue

Had a gyn issue that took 2 months to diagnose after my pain became chronic and the MTF had first right of refusal. Was diagnosed by MTF gyn that I had urology and GI issues and not "female" issues. Turned out a combination of post endometrial ablation syndrome and lower uterine fibroids caused cervical stenosis (my cervix was scarred shut) and my uterus was infected. Since they kept intercepting referrals and could not properly diagnose me it delayed my treatment. The two gyns I saw at the MTF were flippant about my pain and my symptoms.

Unreal lack of care or attention in the ER. I Was 1 of 2 people in for the night, and I was quickly discharged while still massively dehydrated and vomiting. Given a cup of ice to replenish my fluids (seriously?), I could barely walk to the pharmacy to pick up my meds (ibuprofen..). I was literally vomiting into a bag in the hallway and nobody said a word to me. UNREAL.

Worst hospital bedside manner of lt bowman on the 3rd flr of msu as well as. No follow through. They leave you in your room and forget about you. The young people were awful, not caring and didn't care to go the extra 1 step to help you. The tv' s didnt work and the rooms are horrible small.

Been To many military hospitals over 42 years. This one has a great Emergency room. It is small but very efficient and professional staff. Most of the staff were friendly and great senses of humor. There was one nurse that was standoffish but I had no reason why.

Joseph Ricci

One of the worst hospital care units I have used. asked for anything 5 times before waiting an hour to get it, often overlooked as a patient. I got much better care and attention at nlv va hospital

Ashley Curran

It is what it is.

jess hawk

A monument to bureaucratic processes, & systems put in place that the providers don’t use.... but insist that patients must. I’ve wasted valuable time using Relay Health. And their T Con process.... No message or phone back. Multiple trips up here to Nellis, a 45 minute ride. Referrals to off base providers who don’t provide the specialty referred to. Didn’t have these issues in San Antonio. Come on Nellis, get your act together, please!!

Nice faculties. Have a barber shop inside along with a shoppette and a coffee shop upstairs
