I have had a good experience here each time I have gone. The nurses are generally helpful and friendly, we have gotten the service we needed each time. My wife delivered our daughter here almost 5 years ago and we had no complaints whatsoever, everything went great. We did have some hiccups with billing, but my review is solely for the hospital itself, not for the outside company they have do their billing. We had a recent visit where we received difficult news and Dr. Perkinson was extremely helpful, compassionate, and kind. He took the time to address our questions and even gave my wife a hug. The nurses were all kind and thoughtful as well, especially after we received the news. Based on our experience, I would recommend the hospital, especially Dr. Perkinson.

Warning: Jennifer Slovanick is more concerned with threatening the patients then patient care. Well that is after she finds out you have insurance. She stated to us about 4-5 times "you have really good insurance". And proceeded to threaten and coerce us into medical treatment when the official end result was no treatment needed. And now we have medical bills at both HGH and in Reno! Thanks Jennifer Slovanick...you are untrustworthy and unethical.

I went in to the walk in clinic. Told the doctor and nurse I had an allergy to penicillin.. go to pick up my prescription and they prescribed me penicillin. It’s been over a week now with multiple calls back into the clinic and no answer neither have I heard anything back

I probably wouldn't give any stars, but I'll give three because they are there and the people there were nice although for an abscess they said they couldn't cut it and offered to transport me to Reno I thought they were insane I drive a truck so I drove to Reno myself all I can say is what is so hard about cutting an abscess to let it drain will never go back again. And turned out when I got to Reno and park the truck I realized the thing broke open on my way there So within an hour or so I was just fine I just find it strange that a full-service Hospital like they are cannot do such a simple thing it's not like I went in without insurance plus they wanted to do a bunch of testing like blood work and ultrasound which is fine if they were going to fix the problem.

Update on former Doctor Li - going to prison. Next? New docs. Not always impressed with some of the women nurses, sometimes very down, rude and negative. Why? HGH lots of money and this and that, but gotta wonder on how they get all this money for...for what?

I have been hospitalized several times here in Humboldt General Hospital and they have been very good to me! Yes all large hospitals have issues, but they are approving their services!

worst hospital ever. billing you insane amounts for a 2 minute consultation, and there is always "additional billing". The building itself isn't bad, looks nice. Overall if I could give it negative stars I would.

This is the worst hospital you could visit. It is not even a good triage to send you to a good hospital. The deliberately wrong diagnosis are numerous. The number of people that have died from the health care that this hospital doles out is out of hand! Save yourself and your loved ones the agony of suffering a deliberate misdiagnosis. Go directly to Reno!!!

HORRIBLE CARE!!! Went in with a 1.19 inch kidney stone and blood in my urine .They gave me fluids and sent me home. Dr. Dana Marks was awful. They care nothing about patient care. I would rather die then to ever go back there. Wonder where they get all this money to remodel the hospital. Instead of wasting the money on making it look newer, maybe they should hire better doctors and nurses.

I've lived in Winnemucca for 15 years. Used the hospital many times. The improvements in the past 2 years are remarkable. Both the staff in the walk in clinic and the ER have improved immensely. They are caring and knowledgeable. I have heard they are improving their billing department. This is the one area that still needs attention so I hope so.

A mortuary is a more suitable place for medical care. They are overpriced, they will charge you for things insurance already paid, they will refuse service to medicaid patients. They will harrass you for payment on things that have been paid. Terrible bedside manner, the doctors are horrendous. Id recommend taking chances with a witch doctor before trusting your life with these people. I could go into detail about my baby that died in their hands, and the horrible things one doctor said to my father who was dying of cancer, but i wont.

Completely unprofessional I'm surprised they don't have dozens of people dying daily at this Hospital. The nurses are not friendly unprofessional and very very rude. I have no experience with the doctors but I can assume if the front help is this way to help in the back is even worse. If I were you I would save the trouble and go straight to Reno if you could afford the trip this place is like signing your own death certificate.

Husband and Son went for CDL Physicals paid in full then the bills saying they owed 72.00 $ more finally I went to billing to find out what it was since there's no reason to worry she even wrote paid in on my copy too bad I couldn't help my son they sent him to collections then my husband was sent to collections anyway I want compensation and a apology or have this HOSPITAL to be underinvestigion by the state and licensing board

I honestly don't care for HGH. They are rude and don't show much respect for their patients. Doctors just push you through as quick as possible and act like they hate answering your questions. Would rather go elsewhere.

Had a good experience. Took my wife in for breathing problems while passing through on a road trip and they helped her right away. Staff was friendly and professional. By the time we left, my wife's breathing was 1000% better and she managed to get some restful sleep. 10/10 would have an asthma attack here again.

My pregnant wife and I recently moved to Winnemucca because I got a job. Before moving, we made an appointment with one of two OB's. My wife was 33 weeks at that time. That appointment was cancelled and rescheduled a week later. A few days later, the second appointment was cancelled and we were asked to reschedule a week and a half later so we called the second OB and made an appointment immediately. Before going to the appointment we decided to go to Reno for our maternity care and it is a good thing because we called to cancel our appointment at HGH and they didn't have us down for an appointment! So I would recommend going to Reno/Elko for maternity care or at least for the birth. We were told not to have a baby at HGH unless you were okay with a C-section. These same people told us that all the other care at HGH is good, just not the birthing center. I look forward to finding out!

Very unprofessional billing practices. When you check in and ask to pay in full, make sure you get the person to stamp your bill "paid in full." They might charge you more later, provide you with an "itemized bill" that really just renames the one charge, reject your appeal (and tell you by phone, but have no letter telling you why), tell you there is no supervisor to speak to when you call, and then send you to collections. Oh, and this additional "new patient fee" only applies to one new patient and not the other. At least, that has been my unfortunate experience.

Their billing sucks. They loose your information that you paid your bill then turn you into collections. Go to Reno even if your dying. Better care no damage to your credit score.
