In order of events, the person who answers the phone confirmed that the preop checklist services we were looking for were available. Upon arrival, we were told they were not able to accomodate this, and were told to go to Urgent care up the street. The medical issues of my family member was more than this urgent care could handle (he presented with incredibly high BP, and an abnormal EKG, so they directed my family member back to ER. Returned to Dignity Health, and Nursing staff member , Tracey, and her EMT friend who kept his name tag hidden refused to see my family member, nor triage him, despite the urgent care sending back. They would not see him until the urgent care called them and confirmed they sent him back. Then they did so begrudgingly. The doctor here was excellent, as was her trainee, but even this could not make up for the nurse and EMT trainee. The nurse and EMT trainee were rude, unprofessional, including HIPPA regulations as they asked my family member for identifying information from a computer set up in the hallway, while my family was in the bed in the patient room. Anyone in the hallway could have heard this information. Then, maybe to head off the complaint they knew would be coming from me, the nurse made a false allegation to her EMT friend that my family member threw a bandage at her, and the EMT came in aggressively accusing my family member of doing this...to a middle aged man who was having heart and BP issues. Quality healthcare is desperately needed in this area of town, and we were hoping for the same quality of care received at St. Rose Dominican/Dignity Health in Henderson on St. Rose Parkway. It's NOT the case here at the Blue Diamond location, with the exception of the doctor. I hope they'll replace the staff that's making this location bad.

Do not go here! It is a SCAM and the people at the front desk will lie straight to your face. Husband had a terrible flu went there and specifically asked if they took our insurance and they said YES. Just got the bill we were not covered and just got a bill for $8,000 right before the holidays. Merry Christmas

I will never be come back here. Please read the reviews before coming in. I am pregnant and was looking to get relief from an issue that I was having. The nurse was really condecending and told me if I ever need anything in the future to not come there because they can't deliver babies. She said to keep on driving even if it's for a hang nail. Which I understand, but being that it was Easter Sunday, my doctors was closed and my delivery hospital is about 25 min away from my house. I thought they could help me so that's why I went. She then apologized saying she wasn't trying to come off rude. The issue that I was having is normal during pregnancy and is usually caused by imbalanced ph levels. I know that they don't have an obgyn there, I was informed of that after they brought me to a room. The doctor that I had was Gregory Truax. He came in to do an examination and said that I most likely had herpes to talk to my obgyn. This is not something you wanna hear while being pregnant. He did not seem confident and gave off the response like he was unsure and was just guessing. He also said I have a UTI. I get regular pap smears and I knew for a fact it wasn't anything of what he was speaking of. He wrote me out a prescription for what he "thought" was herpes and anti biotics for a uti. I went to a real hospital and it wasn't herpes or a uti. It was normal pregnancy stuff that happens towards the end. Dealing with someone whom is pregnant, I feel it would have been more professional to just say hey, I can't help you this isn't my field than severely misdiagnose me and prescribe me with stuff that I didn't even need. I am not the type to review things like this horribly but when it comes to someone's health, it's important. We trust in doctors to help us the best that they can, not push us out with a BS diagnosis because they "don't know". And please dignity health, don't respond to this review with your copy and pasted response. I truly do not want to speak with anyone there about this experience.

Mister Rums

Dr. Taylor was awesome as well as the staff. You can tell she loves what she does and she is genuinely concern on helping you feel better. Best experience in an ER by far!

I have no complaints. I took my daughter here on a Saturday night and the service was excellent. The front receptionist was very nice. The clinical staff was efficient and very courteous. The doctor was very careful not to miss a thing. The facility is clean. I’d not hesitate to go there for medical care.

Only go to this place if you want to fork out thousands of dollars not only for your hospital stay but also for your doctor and any services they provide. Get ready for all the bill to be mailed to you. Back in May I went to this Hospital because I was having trouble breathing. When I got there, they noticed my blood pressure was really high and started treatment. Everything they did, they did not tell you about the charges or anything just did blood work, xrays of the lungs, an EKG, breathing treatments, and shot me up with meds. I was only there for 2 hours. When I left, they made me pay $350 for my Co Payment and this was a Hospital that was in my Network for Insurance. I was shocked, I had not been to the Hospital for 3 years and back then it was only $50. I knew I had new insurance so I knew I had to suck it up. Now almost 3 months later I am getting all these bills for the stay at the hospital. The Hospital is charging over $11k for my 2 hour stay and that is only for staying at the hospital. I then got a bill for the Xray, and a $2k one for the Doctor. I am now waiting to see if they will bill me for all the other stuff they did while I was there. When you call to talk about all these bills that you are getting, their response is "well you signed a paper that said you understood the fees". Like Yes, I signed some papers while they were checking me in.... I would sign anything just to make sure I am still alive the next day, anyone would. I came in distress and needed help. Now I am paying for it. Maybe next time I will just not go to the hospital and just pass way in bed. It will be cheaper than this place.

First time there and they were very thorough. Felt very comfortable. Got in quick and got test results in a timely manner. Very impressed

I wouldn't recommend this place. I went in because I was having severe abdomen pain, come to find out I was passing a kidney stone. There was a male nurse that had failed 4 different times in attaining my blood. Finally a blonde female nurse came and got it done (although she was rough). I also got a CT scan. I am now receiving the medical bills, I was charged $17k for 5 blood testing kits (4 of which I shouldn't have to pay for since the nurse messed up) and a CT scan. That's insane....

Very nice doctor, nurse and hospital

I went here after going to a quick care for a uti the week before the antibiotics I was given didn’t work.. I was really nauseas and having back pain I asked if I could have an iv with antibiotics since I need something strong doctor said no. They tested my pee and gave me new antibiotics said they would culture my pee and make sure I was given the correct antibiotics.. that was on wed by Monday I’m still feeling same symptoms so I call back to check on the results I was told they never sent out for any test.. complete waist of my time I’m still in pain can’t get into my doctor for another week I will never go back here and do not recommend this Er.

If youre absolutely dying then yes, this is the place to go. Went in for them to look into a injury, 3 people saw me but they didnt do anything and just referred me to UMC. The bill here was more than at UMC with insurance, and at UMC i had a bed, ekg, 3 tests and an x-ray. I was at UMC for 8 hours recieved all that treatment, was here maybe 2 hours with almost no treatment and they billed me more than UMC did. Edit: they charged me $3.8k for basically a referral.

Alan Keen

Horrible ER. The only positive part is short wait time because no one else is dumb enough to come there and a friendly receptionist. After that you get to deal with moron doctors that don't care about anything but racking up a bill and will send you on your way without solving any problems.

Yesenia Amezola

Do not come to this hospital go else where. Worst hospital! Worst service ever!!

TAMI Hieroglyphs4Real

they were wonderful. they ran thorough tests but the, 1st doctor ,came in and said how my use of tramadol means I have been using narcotics.they were selling it over the counter in Oregon..then he went on to say things about mescalin....I do not do drugs, smoke (cigarettes)or drink. his name tag said Pready....

Angela Salerno

Worst hospital I've ever been to. They did absolutely nothing for my pain and showed zero compassion. I'll never be back!

Jessie Jones

These guys are great! Fast, thorough, and professional.

Amber Fuller

No wait time. Didn't have time to sit and finish my registration paperwork before they called us back. Physician was quick to see us. Very friendly and attentive staff. Everyone was great. Clean facility. Highly recommend if a visit is necessary.

Sypherr Vegas

I was seen immediately and the staff was compassionate and fast to get me out of pain. Dr Jones and his nursing staff were amazing and I can’t thank them enough

I went into this office yesterday, I had a non stop cough and fever. I’m pregnant and couldn’t get an appointment with my OB so THEY told me to go to ER. I told the receptionist and this lady told me “keep in mind we’re an emergency room” so of course I felt bad! I asked if I should go to urgent care and she said that was my decision but she wanted me to remember that this was EMERGENCY. Rude for absolutely no reason.

jacqueline ho

When I search for urgent care this was the closest to my house and when I called I asked is this urgent care and they said yes. I asked to make sure if they took my insurance which is United healthcare and she said yes just make sure you walk in the emergency door on the right side. I said my eyes are really red and they hurt very bad I live down the street she said we take all insurance just make sure we walk in the emergency door no problem The whole time She didn’t say anything about this not being urgent care or asking me to pay my co pay which I thought was different usually I pay first before but this place is new so I don’t think anything. Also my eyes were extremely red and I was in so much pain. I came here to get relief and who thinks they would lie about being a urgent care and knowing my co pay for hospital is this high for eye drops non life threatening and she didn’t have the heart to acknowledge. Can’t believe this is st rose !!! My mom stayed at st rose in Henderson years ago and never ever went through what I did. This lady should not work here. She is a liar. everyone was very nice the doctor was fantastic as I checked out she said I owe Six fifty I said six dollars and fifty cents that's cheap She said no. Then I said I don’t get it sixty five dollars? she said no $650 I said I gave you my insurance card my co-pay is usually $30 she said no your co-pay for emergency hospital is $650 I said I asked you if you took my insurance she hands me paperwork with my name wrong address. She takes it back and goes to the back room. Meanwhile I'm shaking take my insurance card out and look for phone number and call to speak to someone about this. As I'm speaking to them the lady at the other desk yells this is emergency!!!! Not urgent care. Next thing you mow the agent I was on the phone with hangs up. I said you didn't have to scream I was on the phone when my insurance and the clerk that checked me in said this was urgent care and you weren't here to witness. Why are you treating me like this. You don't need to speak to me like this. They said well you need to pay something. I had $40.00. They took that payment. I asked for a receipt showing that I owe $650.00 for my eye exam for eye drop antibiotics. She didn't give it to me. She knew she said urgent care. I can't believe people do this. She knew how much my co pay would be. I could of went to urgent care and paid my co pay of $30 an HONEST place. Not a LIE.

Kevin Mikrut

What a joke for staff. The admissions girls were great. The Dr. and the rest of the crew were a bunch of idiots. The guy nurse was a real joke!! The doctors attitude was absolutely incredible. I would not by any stretch of the means go here. Go to a real hospital!!!! The professionalism sucks and so does the whole place. We were there for my suicidal teenage son and the heavyset blond nurse basically belittled him and us and made us feel like this was our fault. We felt even worse during a very traumatic situation because of the way the staff behaved. The admissions ladies were amazing and compassionate but soon as you go behind the doors EVERYONE was amazingly difficult and cold. The best part of the 6 hour ordeal was when staff member Brad called the Police on me for no good reason. We started to get agitated when no one was helping, answering any questions, and being cold to us. He and I had 2 choice words together and I even later apologized to him only to be greeted by the police. Imagine a traumatic time like this only for the police to be called in you when your son is suicidal. It was unthinkable. After talking to the police the consensus was “WOW” did their staff really call the police. We are going to speak to an attorney today about last night. All I can stay is PLEASE stay away!!!!

No wait times in reception area, short wait time in actual room. Very fast and efficient. Nice doctors and staff . Thank you.

They deserve negative five stars, and that doesn’t even begin to cover how abhorrent these people are. My Mom came into the hospital in unbearable pain that made almost all movement impossible and begged for a CAT scan. They diagnosed her with rheumatoid arthritis, without doing a CAT scan, gave her a shot, and sent her home. She had terminal metastatic stage IV lung cancer. She died in May. They wouldn’t even give her more of the shot, which was the only thing that relieved her pain. She died in pain without ever receiving any treatment for her cancer.

Miggie Rojas

This hospital is a nightmare. Do not recommend it. There is no compassion. They are emotionally disconnected as if they are robots. Please do your research. They have a high death rate. they pay off lawyers so they don't take them to court.

Keith Guinn

Wow. Phenomenal staff. I came here for some bad abdominal pain (which ended up being appendicitis) and the staff was awesome with my care until my transfer to St. Martin Forgive me, I don't remember the nurses names, but they were phenomenal (two of them were blonde, I believe) And Dr. Resnik was the bomb.

Heidi White

Small, brand new hospital, big on care and courtesy. Best hospital in Las Vegas, centrally located on Blue Diamond Rd and S. Decatur Blvd.

Steve Christmas

Your name is "Dignity" health, yet you do not disclose that Doctors working in the hospital will bill separately, and NOT take the insurance you told me would cover our visit? When I asked if you accepted BOTH of our insurances and you tell me yes, you do, I expect a little more transparency and less fraudulent non-disclosure. Such practices should preclude you from operating under the name "Dignity" until you learn to treat your patients with such. At $690 for 5 minutes of a doctors time, Dr. Stacie Ranniger rate is $8,280/Hour. That's amazing considering the level of disrespect from all service staff who only kept pushing more for unnecessary billable services instead of fixing the obvious problem. No, I don't need an MRI to tell me my shoulder is dislocated, it's fairly obvious to me that is the issue. Can a doctor charging $8,280.00/ hour not ascertain that without an MRI?! Can you please just have someone re-locate it? As for the hospital's billing, separate from the non-disclosure that the Dr. does NOT accept the insurance you told me would cover our visit, you didn't even send a bill to our secondary insurance. DO YOUR JOB. Stop taking advantage of people in emergency situations, and for christ's sake, treat your patients with at least a little dignity. Never again. You are the Spirit Airlines of healthcare and we drive as far as need be to find proper health care when needed. Be forewarned, avoid at all (non-disclosed) costs.

Robin Pin

DO NOT go to the BLUE DIAMOND FACILITY!! They WILL rip you off! They are horrible and do not provide any healthcare service. You will be much better off going to real hospital - go to Sienna HOSPITAL!!

Troy Bayliss

I would give 0 stars if possible. We waited for 3 hours in the waiting room with two other couples. The receptionist was rude to everyone who asked how long it might be before we got to see the Dr. Eventually we all got up and left when we called the ER at southern hills hospital and they said the wait time was 8 minutes. We went there and saw the Dr. almost immediately. What a waste of time.

mike zaetz

Came in with infection which turned out to be cellulitis was brought back immediately and seen they started antibiotics and addmitted me and im still here now and have been treated with nothing but amazing care by the entire staff very pleased and wouldn't go to any other hospital...

Please be careful going here their charging an outrages amount even with insurance. $4,500 for a 20 min visit for an antibiotic.

I came in with oral pain and swollen left oral cavity. My blood pressure when taken by the triage tech was elevated due to the pain. I have no history of hypertension. The front desk and nurse who triaged me were great and sounds sincerely caring. However, the doctor ( Charles Bibby) who came to see me was arrogant and seems lazy. Unprofessional in terms of bedside manner. He was also wearing an adidas slides. He looked at my mouth and where the swelling was, and told me that I have an infection, which I suspect I have due to the symptoms I was experiencing. He stated “we will give you antibiotics and some pain pills”. He basically just saw me for 1 minute. He told me “you will be going home soon”, which I expect anyways, with the condition presented. No further assessment was done nor asked about the severity of the pain. Poor quality of care. It may not be a life threatening situation but the pain was severe that being treated like it was nothing is not helpful or even appropriate. The place was far from busy. Just so disappointing, knowing I will be charged so much for a poor service rendered during this visit. Visited 5/29/19 at 3:47 am seen by the doctor at around 4:10 am for 1 minute. Waited for more than 30 minutes for the prescribed antibiotic and pain relievers. I don't think prioritization is an issue as there were no patients around. St. Rose needs to change the level of care of this facility to Urgent care more than emergency. This place does not provide the service it claims to serve. Patients perceive their condition the way they feel and seek the care to alleviate their discomfort or pain. To be treated like it was nothing is a disservice to the population they are serving. This is the St. Rose emergency (stand-alone) facility by Blue Diamond and Decatur. Ok. The nurse came in with a prescription with no intentions of initiating the treatment. I came in and sought for care that will help alleviate the pain and somewhat get a diagnosis of the symptoms presented. I asked the nurse what she will do to alleviate the pain. She said I thought you were driving. My BP was 167/90 mmhg. I am not hypertensive and that does not tell you anything? I should have just waited til the dental office opens but I needed pain relief. What happened to compassionate care? This is really sad. I was in so much pain. I asked also for a loading dose of the antibiotic as infection and swelling is the cause of all this pain. What were they thinking? I went to the ER to get a prescription? Is this the care that I sought for? A prescription? I will request a copy of the transcribed care plus the services rendered and compare it to this review which is considered my documentation. I will also review the accuracy of how this will be billed.

#letsguide This is a great emergency room and hospital. Unfortunately we had to visit the emergency room and I would like to Thank Deborah the nurse that checked us in for her kindness and caring attitude during our stressful time of need.

Tami Bartshe

Went to Dignity Health E.R. 2 weeks ago. Was taken back to a room before I had paperwork filled out. Nurses and techs were extremely nice. Doctor came in soon, listened to my complaints about pain. Treated me with respect and was very polite. I left there feeling 90% better than when I walked in. Highly recommend this E.R. Entire staff was very friendly/professional, and very concerned with my well being.

Bea Palmer

What an amazing medical facility and wonderful carding staff. A great asset to our neighborhood.

Ines Zaptier

My father went in yesterday due to severe stomach pain and vomiting... doctor asked my dad what he wanted to do even though he had been throwing up and not holding food for 5 days. They only gave him some fluids and took an X-ray and discharged him with a nausea diagnosis, today we had to take him to the emergency room again (we took him to another hospital), they found an obstruction in his intestine and he’s going to be held over night after they do a procedure... we lost a whole day going here and he could have died. Update: Dad was in the hospital for a total of 4 days. Doctors said if he came in later he wouldn’t have made it...

Destanie Morris

It really depends on what staff you get when you go. Last night I brought my son in for a shoulder injury. Every employee was absolutely amazing and had the best attitudes. They made my son feel so comfortable. They turned the TV on for him, got him a warm blanket, cracked jokes, taught him things about the medical equipment and procedures. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. But before that, a few months ago, I went to the ER because it was a weekend and what seemed like just a bad cold turned into a very high fever. They put off my illness like no big deal, told me it was an upper respiratory infection and gave me mucinex. 2 days later I was only getting worse. I felt terrible so I went to an urgent care and found out I had strep and needed antibiotics. I could have been feeling better days ago if they would have taken their job seriously. It's a nice clean facility, but the care you receive is hit or miss.

Holly Rickabaugh

Well first of all I wouldn’t even have gave one star ! But you have to . To start from the minute I walked in the girl behind the counter was demanding money and was rude .I am sick with breathing difficulties ,and this is how she treats people !!!!when I got called back and the doctor came in with a mouth full of food and did nothing to help me told me I was fine .....it was horrible .....this is no kind of hospital !!!!!it should be closed down there wasn’t a sole in the place !!!!!I guess it shouldn’t say hospital it should say rude and lazy people work here !!!!!! I won’t go on about my condition cause it’s my business, but just to give a heads up don’t trust this place !!!

Jay Farber

I went here for stomach pain that turned out to be appendicitis. I was given an exam, a CT scan, an IV and then sent off to a real hospital for surgery. On my way out the door I was charged $1200. I thought that would be the end of it, I just received bills totaling well over $4000 in the mail, including one for $2038 for seeing the ER doctor. Unbelievable. If you need care, go elsewhere.

Melissa Pepe

Stopped at the ER at just after 8. Doors open, no one at the desk. Not a soul in sight. Cut my thumb and didn't have time to wait around. Called out a few times before finally leaving. 24 Hour ER should have someone at the desk. It was very weird.

LiTonya Gillan

Wonderful place! My 5 year old had a temp of 104 so I took her here, no wait, they got us right in. Best part is they are an er and take all insurances. On a personal note: My kiddo was super nervous going to the hospital but all the staff, nurses, the dr were so wonderful with her. They made small talk at the beginning to make sure she was comfortable with them before asking her about where she felt bad. She felt so loved by everyone there! By the time we left her fever was down, they had found out she had strep and sent us with a rx and a perfect patient award which totally made her feel even better! Thank you to all the amazing people caring for patients at Dignity Health - Decatur & Blue Diamond. This is now our choice of er's for the kids!

JOMAIRA RAMOS

There were no one in here and for a strep throat they took over an hr to check !

Linda Grace Berry

The worst place ever! They will only five you soda to drink and frozen food for each meal . No soup nothing fresh to eat at all . I don't eat frozen food and would never out soda in my body. They could careless about your over all health . When the EMT took me there , they fixed my bed to make me happy and comfortable they made sure I had everything I needed before they left me which took about 15 minutes it took another half hour for a nurse to come in to see me and hook up my IVs . Very sad place. .Don't ever go there if you care about your health !

Pauline Hoffman

My Life was literally in Jeopardy the entire time with Dignity Health. Before you think this review is too negative you should know that I’m a Registered Nurse for over fifty years. My treatment at San Martin hospital campus for three days was both horrible and traumatic. In a hospital setting, the response to the call bell for a nurse is critically important. When a request is made a nurse should prioritize and check on the patient immediately. Your IV could have stopped, you might have fallen, must have help to go to the bathroom, etc. In this hospital no one would respond unless you rang the bell in the bathroom, which made them fear that you have fallen. I had to unplug my IV myself to go to the bathroom to ring the bell to get any assistance. I was left with an IV unhooked for thirty minutes which could have caused a life-threatening blood clot. I had a Nasal Gastric tube inserted incorrectly that caused pain and no one would respond to my complaints about the pain I continued to suffer from. Finally, I had to just remove it myself after two days. A nurse also did not set the IV drip rate correctly on a potassium IV, so it burned horribly, I would ring the bell, no response, family member tells the staff, still nothing. After twenty minutes she reduced it to 50% from 100% which demonstrates her incompetence. To top it off when I was discharged the discharge instructions were for another patient. It listed her vital information, all medications, diagnosis, etc. That is a serious violation of a federal regulation (HIPPA). So, to sum it up the entire time from admission to discharge: the level of incompetence, neglect, and indifference from the nurses, techs and doctors was staggering. In fact, the only thing they were good at was listening to request, smiling and reassuring you it would be taken care of and then just forgetting about it.

Mary Jones

I was sent over to the ER on Blue Diamond. I was in in under 10 minutes. I was seen by the RN right away and the doctor only a few minutes later. Professional, compassionate staff. Very competent. If emergency services are needed in the future I will not hesitate to come back. Thank you all for the excellent care you gave me.

Brandi Tezanos

DO NOT EVER GO TO THUS HOSPITAL EVERRRR ITS THE WORST EVERR

jess hawk

Dr Gregory Truax asked me why I was in the ER and why I thought it was an emergency, when I came in for a B/P of 173/106. He lounged in chair in the room, grilling me. Very confrontational, and then condescending, calling me “dear”. My blood pressure went up to 200/212. He didn’t order anything to bring it down for over an hour, until I repeatedly asked for something. This whole situation is after I heard him yelling at a patient next door to me, telling him not to come back to the ER for his headache. And telling him to “Take some Tylenol!”. This guy needs a new job that doesn’t involve patients. Don’t go to this ER if you want to be treated with dignity by a doctor. The rest of the staff was very good, however.

Tom Mosher

Great ER - great nurses, doctors, ER techs - all the staff. Everyone was very helpful and informative.

maryann Butler

My daughter has been to this ER twice in the last 2 weeks. She has just moved to the area and is attempting to get insurance and than can get a family doctor. She is usually not a complainer so if she went to ER she is really sick. They tell her what they think it is but they don't do the necessary study to confirm it. They do an incomplete CT SCAN ( no po contrast) and send her home with no prescriptions for nausea vomiting medicine or a pain medication. They just tell her to follow up with a specialist with no recommendations and to not return to ER. Meanwhile she is still in pain and having nausea. I am an ER nurse and this is totally unacceptable treatment of a patient. I believe she was treated this way because she has no insurance which unethical.

Erika Abad

I went in on late Saturday morning and was seen ahead of schedule. The facilities were clean and new. The intake staff was kind and welcoming. Nurse, doctor and radiologist tended to my needs and made sure I got assistance based on my injury. I was in and out within the hour. It's great to have such great care so close to home!

Diablo Sullins

I would give a negative star but there isn't a option for this. I have gone to this facility twice. The last time I went for a ongoing infection. The techs weighed me and measured my height. A person looked at my foot and told me to see my regular physician. They didnt even rebandage my foot. For this I received a $1,580.00 bill. In my opinion the facility should be shut down. The worst medical treatment I have ever had.

Sanoud Susu

Terrible customer service, I went in for a neck injury they do not refer you to any doctors! 2nd I was told to tell the nurse in the back for a neck brace, he didnt want to give me one after the doctor wrote it up to give me one. The only one worth anything there is the front desk lady that works in the morning!
