Although there are hospitalists and ER doctors at CVMC I'd rate a 1 star, zero if I could, I'm more grateful to the doctors that treated me professionally and seemed to actually care about my overall well being. Not if I was just going to live or not. I've gotten care there numerous times, due to fistulas and abcesses. My last visit was 9/11/19. I went in for a painful abcess. Dr Mclaughlin was the ER doctor that night. He assessed me, asked me questions, told me what was going to happen so that I understood and didn't have to wonder. I had to ask for nothing. What I needed, I got. The nurse was also amazing, I wish I knew his name. He came in frequently and asked if I was OK and if I needed anything. He was very professional and compassionate. I was just treated like I mattered. I had gotten multiple abcesses drained in the ER. The first two times I felt like I was being butchered and tortured. With Dr Mclaughlin I felt no pain. He adequately numbed the area. I wish every ER experience for everyone, could be like that. Instead of it being traumatic and painful when it need not be. I was supposed to be admitted by a doctor I believe his name is Dr Ming. He was arrogant, condescending and rude. I declined and went home. My tolerance for those kinds of doctors after being chronically for years is zero. A couple more shout outs to amazing doctors at CVMC, ER Dr. Tonini and hospitalit's Dr Phan and Dr Thai. I or my mom have gotten excellent care from them.

Best of the best considering the wonky circumstances! Long story short, my daughter had a 30 hr asthma attack! They listened, treated us with respect and made us feel like family..

Terrible experience. Had my gallbladder removed. Came back into the emergency room that same night with complications from surgery. Nurse who attended me was terribly rude!! I was in tears from the pain. I had surgery that same day! Just a few hrs prior and Denied helping me move from the wheelchair to the bed. I tried to do it on my own. Didn't know there were some wires that I was laying on. She started to tuck and pull with no care at all. Then tells me to sit up. Couldn't move on my own I asked for help again!!! She said "nope u can do it alone." Wasn't until my dad walked in and yelled at her saying "hey take it easy what the hell she just had surgery!" Terrible terrible hospital. Never going back there again. !

My elderly mother went in there with pain in her knee and they we're extremely rude and said she was just there to get drugs like she was some kind of junkie. It turns out later she had a major complication with the tendons in her knee that required surgery. I wouldn't wish this place on my worst enemy even if you are bleeding out and dying I would consider telling them to take you elsewhere. The worst hospital experience I have ever had.

Terri S. In the lab... YOU ARE MY HERO! What can I say, we don't give much thought to the duties of a person working in the lab, but the are definately the foundation of health care. Until you see how wrong something can go at a different lab (and I did), but when I came to CVMC, Terri went above and beyond to take care of me! Thank you Terri and thanks to all the under appreciate lab people, you guys are awesome!

I just had a wonderful experience at Carson valley medical center and wanted to share with everybody out there. I had a CT scan and a blood test and I wanted to say it was a pleasant experience. They treat you like a human being. Special thanks to all of these people: Lindsey Lisa Shawn Wendy Jamie Johnson and the CT Tech Lab Just wanted to share my experience laughing , getting along with everybody, and getting comfortable.

After tripping in a parking lot and falling on my face, I visited the CVMC Urgent Care facility in north Minden. They were courteous, fast and very professional. The PA who treated my over-the-eye wound was Sarah Zalaznik. She expertly closed the cut with five stitches, using super-fine sutures (like black monofilament fishing line) to reduce scarring. Well done!

Excellent Service and Staff, had a scare with my pregnancy and all the staff and doctors were excellent. They even called to discuss my care with my OB at home in Los Angeles. Glad we went there.

Had to come in twice, the first time was around 1AM and they were fairly polite, but when I came in at 4 PM they were super rude and treated me like they wanted me gone.

They gave me an appointment card three months ago. The card says October 10th on it (which is today) and I go in and they scheduled me for yesterday so I’ll be late on my birth control. Writing down the correct date on the cards is VERY important and I’d rather not waste my time coming down just to be turned away and told to reschedule over a mistake they made.

I had to go to the hospital the other day. From the moment I walked in the Emergency Room to the moment I was discharged from upstairs I was taken care of and treated wonderfully Everyone was so nice.

I was referred by the VA to the medical center's rehab service for pain in the neck and restrictive movement. Within a day of my first visit with Zoe, I could feel a difference which improved with additional exercises. Zoe's encouragement and optimism about my results helped and I feel much, much better than when I first check in in the second week of December. I cannot make a stronger recommendation and if you go and you like them, they like cheesecake.
