Started in the ER and ended up in the OB, and then to NICU-- BEST staff I have ever met at a medical facility EVER! It was the best experience, everyone was so caring, empathetic, friendly, treated us like family, and were all so happy to be there to help with anything I needed. Highly recommended!

Amazing staff, clean, comfortable, food wasn't "horrible hospital food" either, actually was pretty good, Esmeralda was a very sweet and professional housekeeper. Great doctors and nurses.

Dr. Scott Smith is so dim witted he is a liability to this hospital. He is unfocused, angry, forgetful and extremely sloppy. Thank God we have other options for medical care.

Crystal Blodgett

The bad staff totally out numbered the good ones.

I had to have an emergency appendectomy. Now I had been to 3 hospitals in my home state. None of them caught this issue. They instantly knew what was wrong and threw me into surgery. Quickly. At 3am. If I could give this place 10 I would easily.

First time @ Kearney Regional and excellent care from Doctor and staff. Top notch care from every staff member. I was absolutely impressed on how well everyone treated me on my stay. Thank You to everyone that helped take care of me, you warmed my heart with your excellent care and made it feel more like family. And the little blonde CNA that wheeled me over to the clinic....you made my day and was so funny! Your cute as a button and will go far for your future!!

Traveling cross country my youngest child fell out of the car fracturing his collar bone. The doctor would not give any straight answers without referring to 2-3 other doctors. The problem is not the fact the doctor was being cautious, it was the fact there was nobody on staff or on call that could help in a timely matter So what could have been a 1hr trip, assessment and sling took several hours. And when the doctor came on the language barrier was so extreme at times I had to ask 3-4 to repeat his statement. A hospital provides a service much like anything else a consumer needs, instead of new shoes it's medical needs. If a hospital cannot provide the consumer(patient) service in a timely manner what's the point of going back to that one? I'm thankful I do not live here or had a more serious issue with one of my children at this hospital. On a positive note the Nurses, aides, and clerks were great, apologetic and very professional

Husband was scheduled to be here at 11:30 for operation. It's now 12:30 and still waiting. Have talked to front lady and she is extremely rude. What's the point in making appointments if we have to wait another hour plus. If a mechanic did this you would leave. Why is it ok for medical field to be rude with long waits? Other than long wait and rude receptionist, ok experience.

In the past few days I have seen several of the doctors at Kearney regional hospital. I found the doctors, nurses, and general staff to be friendly and professional, with one glaring exception Dr. Azzam . My experience with Dr. Azzam was brief, but far too long. I found him to be rude bordering on combative and unprofessional in every way. If they schedule you with Azzam I would strongly recommend you tell them you would like to see someone, anyone else.

My wife and I had our child here, and are now in treating him for a virus. From maternity ward to ICU, the staff and facility is top notch. Very personable and informative with EXCELLENT bedside manner. I wish I could give more than just 5 stars!

Recently, my son was admitted to KRMC with RSV. From the moment we walked in, we were treated with kindness and respect. The ICU nurses, doctors and RT staff were wonderful!

Although the reasons for being there were unpleasant, the physicians, heart team, and entire staff were simply outstanding! Words can not express the quality of care, the professionalism and friendliness we encountered, plus the facilities are easy to find as well as navigate through. Very glad to have it as an option!

I waited for more than 2 hours, even though I was early for my appointment. Every time I call with a simple question, they tell me I need to come in for another consult with Dr. Caos, even though they know I live over 100 miles away. Dr. Caos treated my wife as if she was not even in the room when she asked a question. Their staff act and speak as if they were just plucked off of a street corner. They don't know anything about the medical profession. I asked for a dose increase because my colitis was flaring up, and Dr. Caos said I was at the max dose. I am not at the max dose. How do I know? I CAN DO MATH, BUT MY DOCTOR CANNOT! If you are looking for medical treatment by competent professionals who care about their patients, DO NOT GO HERE!

Dr.Azzam didn't bother to update family on patients outcome from heart procedure after it was complete. Family was very tired after getting up at 3 AM to drive to Kearney from Denver. Procedure ended at 8 PM and tired waiting family was told Dr. Azzam AKA Dr. No show would be in shortly to address them about their loved one. At 9 PM the family was then informed the Dr. Left the hospital that he would call the family on a cell phone but Dr. Azzam never called. Very un professional to leave a worried family hanging like that.

I went on a tour of the Platte Valley and Kearney regional facility. This place has all the bells and whistles. Probably the nicest hospital I’ve ever seen. The doctors and nurses are committed to serving the mission of the hospital. Overall this place is ran well and the programs and decisions are crafted by the Kearney community.

I'm going to add to this review later as I still have a family member in KRMC and want to give a review after our total experience there but so far everything really has been great. Staff is excellent, very friendly. Med profs are knowledgeable and great at keeping us informed...we have been in 3 different "wards" and this has applied across the board. The "cafeteria or cafe" is small but serves great specials as well as salads...I also had the sushi (pictured)...they have 2 coolers like in a convenience store of food and 2 of drinks as well as fountain drinks (buy 1 then get all day free refills) and they are very good at keeping watch on dates and things stocked as well as variety...so even though they aren't that big we were always happy to eat there. More to come later.

Dr. Benevides at this hospital is a complete joke. He was such a jerk to my wife that he made her cry, and basically did nothing to help her. She has been in a lot of pain for several months now because of a back injury, and basically he told her to suck it up and deal with it. He is lucky I was at work today and couldn't be at this appointment with my wife. I will never go back to him for anything, and I will make it my business to let everyone I know how terrible this doctor. This is also not the first time I have heard negative things about this doctor. Almost everyone I have talked to who has had experience with Benevides has had negative things to say about him. It is almost as if he wants to humiliate his female patients. If I could give 0 star review I would just because of him. I would be embarrassed to have someone like him representing your hospital. We will now be going out of town to get treatment. WHAT A JOKE!

I am sitting here in an emergency room with my 18 month old with Pneumonia for the 7th time in less then 3 mnths. And everytime we have came they have treated us so well and has made us feel extremely comfortable! They never have made me feel like a paranoid mother. Always understood my concern. The higher her fever goes, the closer she is to another seizure. And staff at this hospital makes gives us a sense of peace because they care! THANK YOU ALL!

Dana Daleness

Every time I come here the nurses and doctors are extremely kind and helpful, much better than other hospitals in the area.

The hospital is great. Really like the care everyone gave my husband getting him ready for surgery. I got a phone call letting me know everything was going well and that he was getting close to done. My daughter and I talked to the dr. Which was good. Once he got to the room the staff in the 400 wing was great and on top of things. No complaints at all. Until the shift changed. Than it was a disaster. No one had a clue. Didn't know how to put a neck brace on nor to get the oxygen tube out of the way of the brace. He was told he had to go out and walk and we kept asking. They kept being put off on later. Than we asked about super and finally after 7 they brought him something. For someone who had major neck surgery they gave him a chicken breast. Had to eat when swallowing is a bit tough. Bussed several different times had to go to desk first time because no response. Glad he wasn't having any major issues. Than other times it took forever. They just did not do what they were suppose to do. When I left for the night at 8 I looked at the nurses station and what did I see but 3 girls sitting there on their personal phones. Not cool in my book. If they want the degree and make that better money than in my book they need to work for it. I'm don't like paying for something that I don't get the care my husband deserves when just getting out of surgery.

Slow. I waited 1.5 hours just to get my blood drawn. Extremely disappointed.

Maternity Center Review: Complications arose leading to a C-section after pushing in an unmedicated birth. Staff was AMAZING!! I felt like they treated my husband, self and baby extraordinarily well and went above and beyond to make us comfortable. They were incredibly supportive and I would highly recommend having your child at this hospital. Pros - Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. - Separate entrance for maternity. - Facilities are clean and new. - Rooms are private and large. - Rooms are fairly quiet considering there are crying babies nearby. - Lactation consultant is also a Certified Car Seat Installation Tech. - Lactation consultant is very helpful and educational though ALL nurses also help with feeding. - Massage therapist gives a wonderful back and shoulder massage in your room. - Nurses will take your baby for a bit so you can sleep or get a break. - Food is good and arrives in about 30 minutes. - Snacks available. - You can labor in their large bath tubs. - Large bathrooms with nice shower heads and water heats quickly. - They provide most baby essentials. Cons - Room recliner and couch aren't the most comfortable according to spouse. - Toilet paper was hard to get out of dispenser. *Can't comment on bills because I haven't received ours yet and they vary based on insurance and plan.

I went to Kearney Regional for the first time today. I had to take a stress test. All of the staff members I encountered were very friendly! They explained what the test was about and made sure that I was comfortable before, during, and after the test. Overall, it was a very good experience!
