My mom admitted 3 times because of her back pain. First, I had to wait almost 8 hours just for result of x ray, which I had to ask multiple times. The second time was the same, sending her home without any treatment. Third time, finally they MRI and found her tail bone was cracked. They fixed. Nurses were lazy, my mom to call them by pushing the button many times but non of them care to stop by asking what happen. I had to go get them every time. Nurses were passed the baton to each others. The only reason I gave 2 stars is becuase they have Cross in each room.

In a very stressful situation, the staff was very kind and caring, and the food was surprisingly good in the cafeteria.

I went to the er for kidney stones and was admitted me for surgery the next day... Well all my nurses and doctors from the er to the 4th floor were amazing and treated me so good! I don’t think I have ever had such caring nurses and doctors who actually sat down and cared how I felt and didn’t speak over me and listened to what I had to say. I love this hospital and thank you lakeside!

Garrett Kracht

Good hospital, ER could care less though. Never using their ER again.

If I could give it a zero I would!! This whole hospital is a JOKE! I get taken by ambulance to hospital. I get told I have to be hospitalized. I spent the night in the ER!!! No rooms available up stairs! The nurses were rude as hell! The doctor LIED to me about my diagnosis! My insurance didn’t pay them! I go in another time have a CT scan. I have a diagnosis found on FIVE different CT SCANS!!! And two different doctors! I’m in hell pain and my Bp is now high due to the incompetent doctors screwing me around! I call to talk to medical director, my doctor, hell I pulled my medical records to CONFIRM my diagnosis! But, this hospital has yet to get back with me!! Dodging phone calls and having unqualified people transfer you everywhere! I had a hernia in 2011! THEY SENT ME OUT THE DOOR SAID IT WAS GAS! I sent my CT scan over to another hospital! To my ob of all people! She saw it stat! I was sent to a general surgeon! RUN THE HELL AWAY!! Heard nothing but bad things bout this whole hospital! You are just a number here! You are not treated like a human being!!! I’ve rated doctors here! Take a look at my reviews! This is Jo!

Best hospital experience!. Everyone at Lakeside is very knowledgeable and let you know what is going on every step of the way.

We recently delivered our second baby at Lakeside and could not be more pleased with our experience. Our nurses were kind and attentive. Our room was spacious, our bed queen sized! Food was good. LOVE my dr. (Bossert), Discharge was quick, communication was thorough and proactive on the hospital’s part. We HIGHLY suggest this small, calm, quiet hospital for the delivery of any children.

I don't understand what the problem is with the billing department there, but assume they are just horribly mismanaged and disorganized. TWICE now I've had to have them remove me from collections for a bill that I'm not, and never have been, responsible for. This second time around I had to hire an attorney to ensure it won't happen again. None of their departments seem to communicate with each other and they've gone through at least 3 different risk management directors in the past 6 years I've been dealing with this stupid problem, so every time I have an issue I have to explain the entire situation over again. I was recently told their billing software is down so they couldn't even look to see if I owed the bill. If you can't look it up.... why the f@#* am I being put in collections for it? The problem has been fixed (again), but for how long? The only real solace I have is that it's nearing statute of limitations for it to effect my credit even if they mess it up again.

With the exception of the emergency room my experience was beyond amazing!! The staff on the 3rd and 4th floors was by far the best I have ever encountered. The nurses personalities were so upbeat and happy. They were on top of everything so thorough. They answered every single question I had and explained things to me. Not only did my great aunt get excellent care they were always concerned about how I was and if I needed anything. Quite literally the best bed side manner I have ever seen. I am very thankful to them as the helped us through such a difficult time.

I went to the ER today for pain in my lower abdomen and it causing blurry vision, I was impressed with the staff and how fast they worked to make me comfortable. I was in and out in about an hour to an hour and a half I loved the staff and I loved how welcome the staff made me feel I found our I am pregnant to

Gail Olson

Great ER staff, wonderful care and each staff member was attentive, professional, and provided excellent care.

Of course we all dont like to stay in the hospital however this is the best hospital our family has ever been to. Very nice staff & great food & good location. They really treated us right. We were on 2nd floor & I am giving them the full 5 stars that I feel they deserve.

Friendly staff and Very kind Dr. . Keep up your great work!!

jslo592

The quality of care is not my issue. The ER staff was wonderful and attentive to my needs. What I will say, and for those of you who have UMR as an insurance provider, BE PREPARED to fight the billing idiots who bill the physician's portion of your statement. They are the worst billing provider I've ever dealt with, and nearly forced me to collections on their own account. Basically, their "reviewers" found that because my member and their provider EOB didn't indicate UMR was backed by UHC, that I was responsible for almost $500 of charges that actually were written off!! I will NEVER go to a CHI provider again. This was a nightmare that had the patient responsible for something that should never have been an issue.

Went to emergency for collapse lung, there was only one receptionist working, in registration answering phone and register patients. Emergency room is as bad the drive thru at fast food restaurant.

This is my second time in under a year with a child in the NICU ( 2 different children) and all of the staff is super attentive! They have treated both of our children as their own. They are so friendly and informant. Plus they will talk to us just to talk (whitch is so nice to feel normal during a hard time) plus the recent upgrades are amazing. I love the staff and you can tell that they all love their job. Thank you all Lakeside Doctors and nurses A Greatful DAD

I don't even want to give this hospital 1 star. Their billing department is deplorable just like everyone else states. I did NOT want to go to this hospital because of their horrible track record but the ambulance would not give us a choice when my husband had a heart attack. When the bills started coming I sent the hospital two letters stating my husband had been out of work since the heart attack and I could not work as I was caring for him. We stated we would pay them $100 a month and would send more as we could. Since then we have not missed one month. Last month we had the bill down to $315 and they turned us into the creditors! As everyone else states this hospital totally SUCKS! Stay far, far away from them! UPDATE: We moved out of state and believe it or not this horrible excuse for a hospital sent us a new bill for the ENTIRE hospital stay! They already received their money from our insurance company and we completely paid our part as well. We turned them into the Attorney General's office which is the only way to deal with these leaches.

Debra Reddy

I had outpatient surgery today and all of the staff were so nice and caring. They really helped ease my anxieties and put me at ease.

G Hollis

I believe in giving honest reviews. I also believe in fairness. To be fair and honest, stay far away from the ER. Worst experience I've ever had. If you show up at the ER after 6pm you have to call them, and then they ask you " what do you want?"... and then you have to prove to them that you need help. Their billing department is even worse. You are better off visiting Walgreens than going here. Absolute racist, absolute idiots, absolute frauds. They will perform unnecessary test just to have an excuse to bill you. I sat in triage for 30 min, was not admitted, received zero care, no medication, no procedures were done , and was charged 450$ in physicians fees alone! I've already reported them to both local and national fraud prevention agencies. If you do nothing you deserve nothing! Instead of giving you oral benadryl ( you know, the pink pill) they try to give you an IV with benadryl. Instead of giving you asprin they try to give you IV asprin! This is if you say you have a headache. IV for a headache... Are you kidding me?! You could litteraly leave and walk to Walgreens and would be better off. I can tell by how empty it always is that they are struggling financially. In my opinion these people are vultures. Stay far far away. I hope this place gets shut down. West omaha deserves better...I guess nebraskans don't know any better???

The nurses are rude and slow and for an “emergency” room have no sense of urgency. Brought a family member here and they told her “they’re making rounds” yet nobody checked on her for two hours while was crying in pain. When she asked the nurse how much longer it would be the nurse was very rude and short with her. The receptionist was nice and I’ve seen a couple of nice providers here but otherwise I’m seriously unimpressed.

Steve M

Rude nurses. Ordered food and it never showed up.

Mary Hester

Staff generallyvery helpful and respectful did have problem with one RN and one hospitality MD with disrespect

Shari Scott

Decent for how its set up. Some staff aren't as helpful as others. Emergency room is clean and sees patients within a decent time

Jennifer Kutschkau

Bill of Health is a must! Make corrupt hospital's and their, "billing," responsible! Get educated, ask questions about medical coding and get it in writing! #miscodedanddoublebilled

Elizabeth S

Dr. Horacek is condescending, doesn't listen, and talked to my boyfriend for literally 5 minutes before throwing pills down his throat. She doesn't listen and it's a shame that a doctor can still be that negligent. Absolutely horrible! I knew we should have gone to bergan mercy. I have no words.. I'm boiling.. this woman has no sense of knowledge or empathy. I could go on and on. DO NOT GO LAKESIDE HOSPITAL..AND DEFINITELY DO NOT SEE DR. HORACEK!

Galen Niu

I like the doctors and nurses here. The front desk is also great. The facilities of lakeside is excellent. However,it would be even better if they can provide detailed cost estimate, like out-of-pocket vs insurance coverage for their service.

RetroGamer _

Please be careful with this CHI they are thieves when it comes to billing. They have taken my money from credit card without my knowledge and at the same time made me pay monthly

Gena Coleman

Was in the ER and bathrooms were NOT clean at all. The nurse didn’t even help me to the restroom or back from it. We were in there for a few hours and no remote for TV for spouse the reason we got was oh who knows and most don’t have batteries. They were nice but in an ER with germs and what not everything should be clean.

Toni A Scott

The. Dr and nurses are great there.

Erika King

This is one the most disgusting hospitals I've ever been to in my life. Spend a little money on updating this s**thole and practice better care for your patients. If I could I'd give a NEGATIVE 10. God help me if I ever get sick. I'd never recommend this place to anyone!

Brian Hickman

Couldn't have been more satisfied. Dr. Dressen was awesome. From check in too check out, it flew by. I assume I might have visited on the perfect time, around 6am. Nursing staff couldn't be any better. The women who takes the blood was spot on. Usually I'm a hard stick.

Bob Bruhn

I was taken to CHI Lakeside by rescue squad for chest pains, numbness in the left shoulder, and shortness of breath. I was diagnosed by the emergency room physician, Dr. Dreessen, as having "non-cardiac chest pain". He told me I needed to exercise and to come back if the chest pain continues. I wasn't satisfied with his diagnosis and made an appointment with cardiologist. He performed an angiogram and discovered I have 60% blockage in one artery and 45% blockage in two others. Avoid CHI at all costs, especially Dr. Dreessen, it could cost you your life.

Jeremy Ware

My mom came to this hospital and was admitted which they discharged her after 1 day with pneumonia and didn’t check for anything else. She now went to a different hospital and they have checked her and did everything lakeside didn’t and they’re testing for everything. Lakeside is absolutely horrible.

I was admitted through the er spend 3 nights and 4 days on the 4 th floor the care with the drs and nursing staff was excellent

George Galooli

Pretty comfortable. A few things could be fine tuned, but for the most part people are competent. Honestly the only thing bad I have to say is that there are a ton of pot holes in the parking lot.

Bill Cornell

Lakeside's medical staff is great....their billing department SUCKS! I've tried to pay them and get info so I could pay them and you can't find anyone. Then they turn you over to a collection agency without explanation.

Lakeside hospital is amazing! The staff and especially the nurses were awesome to work with. Everyone has been more than helpful in taking care of all of me and my families needs during my entire stay. I was so impressed by the concern they show and willingness to help. I looked at some of the reviews and couldn’t fathom why someone would rate this hospital less than 5 stars. My only thought was given the area that they’re most likely the type that ask to see a manager every where they go, but that’s besides the point. If you want awesome, friendly and professional care this is the place to be! Thank you to all the staff and keep up the awesome care!

James Castro

If we would have saw the reviews before we came I never would have. My husband cut his hand pretty bad. And we haven't even been seen yet its been 3 hours. This is bull the nurses are eating pizza and because I point my husband to where the restroom is they make a comment because someone is standing in the hall (looking at me) just think its funny they can talk and eat pizza and give us ugly looks as we still wait to be seen. Id post a picture but there isnt an option for That.

Mallory Kohmetscher

My experience at this hospital was absolutely terrible. The night shift nurse that I had when I arrived was extremely rude and had absolutely no compassion whatsoever. The on-call doctor did not want to come in in the middle of the night to provide an appropriate standard of care. I was extremely sick and felt completely helpless. I would absolutely never want anyone to go through what I went through at this hospital!!! The staff should be ashamed of themselves. I could not get transferred out of this hospital soon enough!!!

My wife has unfortunately needed health care a number of times. Lakeside has, by far, been likely the best hospital in town ... for the most part. However, after having some pretty major surgery today, she could not relieve herself without a catheter. By the time they figured this out, she had gone through a number of painful "waves" of pain (it gets better). This evening, on shift change, they're informed about exactly what occurred. It happened again (yes, they didn't leave the catheter in before) and not only did it take them a HALF HOUR to take care of it this time ... but they were training while they left my wife in the worst agony I've ever beheld. Pathetic,

Clarissa Jacobs

I had to have knee surgery here to fix a torn ligament and remove broken cartilage. The ONLY reason that I am giving this place 2 stars is because the staff was friendly and my surgeon (who is based out of Fremont) did a good job. After surgery I was in horrible pain and they said they gave me all they could to help it (which I don't believe that they did). It was an outpatient surgery and I ending up leaving the hospital in horrible pain as well. Now I am currently dealing with their ridiculous billing department. I asked for financial assistance paperwork and received it, filled it out, and returned it. This was over a month ago. I have called them about 5 times today and have received different stories from every person that I spoke to. First it was they never sent me financial assistance paperwork and I never sent it back it in, and then it was they did sent me the paperwork and I never sent it back in. I put my return address on the envelope when I returned the paperwork, it was never sent back to me and they supposedly didn't receive it so I guess it's just floating around in space somewhere. Then I spoke to Rusty who is supposedly the regional manager in that department. He was very rude and called me a liar about turning in my paperwork. When I asked to speak to someone above him he told me there was no one above him, which I found out after ANOTHER phone call was a lie. I'm currently waiting to hear back from a nicer woman who IS above him, but it looks like I will have to fill out their paperwork again and write ANOTHER one page letter explaining my situation. I will NEVER go to Lakeside hospital again and I recommend that no one else does either.

Brian Vaughan

My mother went to Lakeside due to an infection in her foot. While she was waiting for a second surgery her congestive heart failure started getting worse. She was having trouble breathing and had put on considerable water weight. Despite all of the symptoms they refused to properly treat her heart issue. She decided to check herself out of Lakeside and into UNMC, where she was a heart transplant candidate. UNMC found elevated protein levels and are giving her the care she needs. There's a real possibility that she would have died at Lakeside due to lack of care(ing).

Jordan Frost

The hospital itself is very nice and Modern. Most of the staff is great too! Where the huge breakdown is with the billing dept. Just like other reviewers stated. They are horrible!! Bills sent long after services were paid in full to, calling to discuss payment before surgery even happens, and the worst one for me was someone from the billing dept coming in asking for money while were in the ER with a serious injury!! Really, talk about classless and tacky!!

John Smith

Great doctors, great facility. The billing is hilarious and unprofessional. Don't think you are safe from bills even a year out from your surgery. I had an appendectomy over a year ago, and am still receiving bills that insurance listed as paid out a month after surgery. Mine wasn't an emergency, I'll take non-emergency stuff elsewhere from here on out. I guess Blue Cross was right about this place.

Venus Buck

I an ankle fusion done. It is a very painful procedure and being a medical professional myself;I was fearful. First Jeri in pre-op calmed my fears and Dr. Jurgens made sure I was comfortable through out my surgery. Then when I went to my room Kourtney was the most awesome nurse I ever had. He was attentive to my pain and checked on me frequently. The CNA's also were awesome and I believe I had Ashley and Kevin. Jason , my doctor's PA was fast to adjust medications when needed. Then, Dr. Inda, I knew I chose the best when I chose him. Can't leave out Physical Therapist Leila and the rest of the PT staff who waited until my son who wants to be a PT came up to help with my PT. Of course , Respiratory therapy checked on me, Nicole, Renee Barb and Dave. I appreciate the excellent care!

Brody Pruitt

Went to lakeside for terrible pain in my ankle they did the testing and told me that it was just a sprained ankle a couple days go by the swelling is getting worse so i go to a orthopedic and he tells me there was a fractured bone in my ankle and he was baffled how they didn't see it DON'T GO THERE.

I am scheduled for surgery at Lakeside soon. Today while at work, I received a call from the facility. The person on the other end of the phone, asked if I had a few minutes to talk about my procedure. I figured this would be Pre-Opp instructions or what to exspect on the day of the surgery. Instead it was to talk about my insurance, deductibles, and what was my responsibility for the bill. If it wasn't for the convenience of the location, and having to reschedule with the doctor I think I would cancel surgery. I have not even had the surgery yet and they are worried about their money. Personally I find this very disrespectful. It is all business now, not about care. What happened to Patient Care?

Linda Humble

Very poor quality of care. I'm a 64 yr old with extensive cardiac history. I came here today after suffering extreme chest pain and shortness of breath. Dr Dreessen was rude, belittling and dismissive. He first said I had a tummy ache; and was too stupid to differentiate my chest pain, radiating to shoulders and arms- ignoring medical history. He then said he reviewed my records which show 80-90% LAD blockage, claiming no such records exist. He also insisted there is no such records in my name and DOB, and told staff I don't know my name and DOB. When he finally had to acknowledge medical history, and recent medical evidence of significant blockage- he embarked on verbal rebuke! "I should be grateful I'm alive, considering 16 yrs post organ transplant". "I should understand that I don't deserve treatment for arterial blockage, due to previous 16 years post organ transplant". Finally, very willing to dole out Nitro pills at $??. But won't give me a script to fill at pharmacy!! Avoid this hospital and especially Dr Dreessen.

I absolutely cannot understand how it takes 2 years to get insurance billed correctly. Once that was resolved, we had new insurance (info was provided), and they billed the wrong insurance company 3 times, even after calling each time to provide the correct information. Perhaps this is how they keep the mental health side in business - by driving the patients crazy.

Corrine Sullivan

My experience at Lakeside started in the ER, where every staff member was respectful, courteous and worked efficiently to diagnose and start treating me immediately. I was admitted to the hospital and stayed about four days on the 4th floor. Every Doctor and Nurse that I encountered was professional, kind, attentive and always patient. They took amazing care of me and made sure I was comfortable while there and had all the information I needed to care for myself correctly after I was discharged. Thank you to the entire team at Lakeside Hospital, my family and I appreciate you all so much!

Tregg Jobman

We had a very poor experience with my dad. Had to move him to Methodist.

M Rotella

Do not use this hospital or ER! They are ridiculously overpriced and they overcharge. They won't work with you on payments or settlements. It's worth the drive to go to a Methodist facility instead.

Matt Greenlee

I’d give negative stars if it was possible. The lack of follow up and concern for their patients is astounding. Though their website claims to quickly diagnose and treat digestive disorders, they’ve done little but an endoscopy and a three day prescription for antiemetics. Now its been over a month of calling for refills and trying to get someone on the phone. Go anywhere else, you’ll receive better care and actual treatment. No wonder this place is nicknamed “Death by the Lake”.

I got mixed reviews. Experience with 1st child delivery was fabulous. Pre & Postpartum care/check in and out process/food/facility, etc. The 2nd child was not pleasant. Wait for at least 10 mins before an inexperienced nurse showed up with questionnaires to complete before checking my dilation and got an experienced nurse to recheck and prep me with iv lines. It was about 55 min by the time they were done and I was already 8 cm. dilated. My ob-gyn could have been there in time if the process was quicker. Nurses had to deliver my baby. No skin on skin like the first child. More than anything, we had to wait 3 hours before moving to postpartum room. A head nurse came in and apologized because there were a number of deliveries that morning and they were understaffed. Despite this unpleasant experience, I like the facility though. It's nice, clean, modern and friendly staffs.

Jenny Swanson

Went to the ER on 01/08/17 I had APRN Nancy Tosone she was absolutely horrible! I questioned her diagnoses and was crying because I was not getting any real answers, Nancy stormed out of the room saying she "is not taking my attitude anymore". Once I calmed down and asked to do a test she suggested she refused telling me to leave the ER. When she first entered the room she thought she seen be before when I have not been at that hospital since 2009 I was not after any narcotics but that's how she was treating me as if I was. I left went to Methodist hospital and actually gotten taken care of also they did the test Nancy refused to do and found something that needed to be looked into further. I have filed an official complaint with the hospital and reported Nancy Tosone to the Medical Heath Board. If you get Nancy and feel like you are not getting the proper care ask for someone else!

I get brought here by ambulance (which by the way they recommended) and of course you can't see a doctor so they send in a nurse practitioner. After over an hour and some test she comes in and tells me everything checks out and tells me how I wasted her time and couldn't understand why I even came in! Wasted her time, what about my time dealing with a second rate doctor? Do you think it cost me any less to see her? Nope!

Kimberly O'Connor

I absolutely love this place. Everyone I had interaction with from Tracy the guy at the check/registration deck to the nurses that did my breast exam to the mammogram and altrosound techs Everyone was absolutely very kind professional and amazing to me. If I could give it 100 stars I would.

Kimberly Garcia

ER nurses and aides were helpful and courteous. DR Jon Keebler was useless, not empathetic, lacked sincerity.

Deborah Day

I just had a 5 day stay due to Severe Sepsis. All of the nurses and doctors were wonderful. The nurses anticipated any problems or pain I was in and was ahead of any issue. They were very caring. I did come in through ER but this was the first stay at Lakeside. Due to my experience, I have to say I would recommend the hospital to anyone!

I've never been treated so badly by a health care provider in my entire life! First, I tried to make an appointment with my general doctor in Council Bluffs who informed my Dr. Monister no longer works for CHI (now I know why). I then tried calling another location, in which I was transferred two different times, both places stating they don't handle my health care needs (dislocated finger or broken finger, I still don't know). I finally received an appointment for today at 1:30PM and was informed it was at the location on 161st and Maple in Omaha, NE. I show up to my appointment early as requested and am informed I was at the wrong location. The young lady at the desk was very nice, looked up where I was supposed to go, and let me know that she would call ahead so they knew I was on the way. Once I get to the appointment at 1:53 I was informed by the front desk person, I believe her name was Kim, that I was over 20 mins late and that she would need doctors permission to still honor the appointment. After she was off the phone, she informed me that I would not be treated, but offered an appointment for 2 hours later or 3 hours later. For any average Joe, I'm sure this would have been fine. I have 3 kids, a demanding job, and plenty of other stuff on my plate, making it difficult to change my schedule. As soon as she got off the phone and told me I wouldn't be seen, I was highly upset and requested the recorded conversation of the set appointment as well as a number I'd call to file a formal complaint. I was informed you no longer record calls due to having enough volume, and I was not supplied with a number. When you look it up on google, you can find a number that gives you an email address, or in other words a "Black Hole". When I requested a number to call and file the complaint, the front desk lady was quick to inform me that the person that whoever made my appointment doesn't make mistakes. I'm sorry, are you the one that made the appointment? Were you on the phone when I made it? I wasn't even aware there was a location on 161st and maple, not to mention how would I have gotten the maple location if I made the appointment at Lakeside??? The lack of caring from your Doctors and staff is absolutely unprofessional and disappointing. I never had a problem when it was Alegent.

Kelsey Akers

The process during pregnancy was easy. Now 6 months after the birth of my child, I get calls from collections agencies. 3 so far... For different things. I'm a disabled veteran, I gave them my paperwork, but they decided to send the large bills to collections instead of notifying me or sending the bill to the VA. Going back and forth through everybody is getting ridiculous. And according to the VA, this isn't the first time Lakeside has been an issue.

Brooke Tesmer

Horrible experience! I will never go to the ER there again!

David Leppek

Lakeside is fast, friendly, and best in quality. I stay in Omaha for the schools and best healthcare in the country.

Felicia Held

My son recently went to the emergency room with a gash on his head in need of stitches. His entire left cheek was a raw open soar. When we requested a plastic surgeon to stitch him up they told us that they could page one but most of the time they don't respond at all. That is exactly what happened. The on call doctor didn't respond and the back up doctor refused to come in. The P.A. Jeremy told me we could have him or the other general doctor there do it or go home. We asked if they could check with other doctors or hospitals for their on call plastic surgeons and they agreed. Thank goodness Dr. Stice (a plastic surgeon that was not on call) took mercy on us and came in. She was the only bright light in the whole experience! She was a superstar. She was professional, positive and meticulous. Prior to Dr Stice ' s arrival the emergency room staff did absolutely nothing for my child. The didn't clean his wounds or offer him any pain meds. They had to put numbing cream on his wound before he was stitched up and the nurse went to tape a cotton ball on my child's head but stuck the tape on the dirty hand rail prior to attempting to put it on his wounds. This was an awful experience.

Brian williams

I came to the ER after getting bit in the face by a bat.....the flying kind, not a baseball bat, lol. I received prompt, courteous care by the entire staff!! Kelly, Lynette and Dr. Horacek were wonderful with their care! Also, thank you to Ana, Kara, Cindy and Dave for checking on me while I was there! You guys are all great!!!!

Kara Brownfield

Great care and great nurses

Matt Walterson

What kind of s*hit doctors do they hire at this place?! A patient came into the ER with a classic case of appendicitis. The doctor tried to send him home claiming it was "a result of Marijuana use".. Less than 12 hours later, his appendix was removed. Had he gone home, he would have been back in an ambulance... Or worse. This HACK of "care provider" is the antithesis of the hypocratic oath, a financial liability to the hospital and a threat to its patients. Johnathan Kendler (I omitted "doctor" purposely) needs to be properly evaluated, in his knowledge, his bedside manner, and most of all, his conscious reasoning abilities. CHI health - if THIS continues to be the face of what you call Healthcare, your reputation, your bottom line, and your patients will all surely suffer a terrible hardship.

Saravanan Arumugam

Worst place to go. Irresponsible staffs. Reception people have no idea where the patients have to go. Their phone numbers are all mixed up. In the end you call and you’ll be invited to one branch but the appointment will be on another brach. I got rescheduled for their inaccurate system. The people shamelessly lie to you to make up for their mistakes.

I think they deserve 10 stars! Dr Mendlick, Kari and Lisa (nurses) are VERY compassionate and caring. After a mammogram and ultrasound showed I needed a biospy I was scared and nervous. Having the care of these 3 made me feel they not only do their job well but truly care about the patients!!! Can't thank you enough!!!!

I recently had a 4 day stay at Lakeside Hospital and I could not have been treated better. I came in through emergency, and was kept for 4 days to rule things out and keep me safe. I have stayed at 3 other hospitals in Omaha and I feel this was my most pleasant visit. The E R staff was kind and reassuring. The doctors upstairs we not only through but had lovely bed side manners. You could tell that they genuinely cared about you as an individual. The nursing staff came whenever I needed something and met my every need. There were certain Dr.s and also a Russian nurse that that took the time to make me feel I was going to be just fine. I cannot praise this treatment I had there highly enough. I am grateful for their education and their devotion to their fields. If I need further care, I will choose Lakeside Hospital. SWC

The staff are very caring and seem more like your friends than just nurses.

Dr. Dreesen is an excellent physician, and we have had the good fortune of having had him see our child once in the ER. Dr. Keebler, however, is an absolute nightmare. He was horribly rude to our child, and he was 100% incorrect in his diagnosis. Never, ever go to the emergency room here if Keebler is working. I am honestly considering filing a complaint with the state medical board.

The er sucks, I had all the signs of an appendix rupture but the dumb ass doctor told me it was just an ovarian cyst even though I was crying and screaming in pain. Then they gave me pain killers that made me throw up 20 times without telling me it was a side effect. I could go to a gas station and the workers there could diagnose me better than this hospital.

Tara Lueck, Arlynn Hobson and Ben Devries take the most amazing care of me and all my problems! Highly recommend Dr. Meyers and staff for all your family.

Staff is rude and incompetent. Nursing staff placed my life at risk and did not seem trained well for emergency situations. Nurses lied on discharge instructions stating I refused education which it wasn't offered. And when I made her aware she didn't care or make changes. I was billed by a doctor that did not perform the services. 4 days later I had complications from my procedure and had to be seen which acquired a new bill from their mess up. The nursing clerk is never there at the hours on the discharge paperwork. She informed me she gets sent home due to census being low. Horrible Experience.

I have been to Lakeside emergency twice in the last 8 months for episodes of diverticulitis. Everyone from Pam, the receptionist, to my nurses, Christie and Brenda were awesome! Very kind, prompt, and professional! Would definitely recommend Lakeside emergency.

Extremely slow at registration to getting results back on why your sick. Once your in a room it takes them 2 1/2 hours just to start tests. NOT coming here again ill wait the hour to get to my home hospital.

At a minimum you would think there would be someone in the main lobby to answer questions but not here

I just got a bill from a collection agency for a bill I NEVER received. When I called to ask them why they sent it to collection agency they said I would have to talk to the collection agency! After reading the previous reviews I can see that the billing department is horrible.

There’s a reason this hospital is called “death on the lake”. My has been went in there with a heart attack had emergency surgery the next morning and they needed three stents. They only had one. They had to close him up and three weeks later he had to have another surgery at Bergen Mercy hospital. And they tried to charge us $4000 for the second operation. What a horrible, horrible experience! One of my doctors told me he wouldn’t send his dog to that hospital.

The emergency room was dirty. Equipment seems old and run down. Did not have a good feeling about my son being in there. I would not recommend and would definitely never return in a true life or death emergency. One of the nurses was nice and the nurse practitioner was friendly but other staff members rude as hell and the head nurse was the rudest of them all. No one ever explained to us what was going on and the staff was getting agitated with me as I kept going up and asking questions about my sons care as we had been there for several hours. It is definitely worth the drive to go to Methodist.

I went in the ER for what I believe was possible food poisoning. I was having abdominal pain on right side and on right side of my back. The doctor came in talked to me then sent the nurse in. She wanted to draw blood. My veins tend to roll so I know where they are sticking me wont work. I suggested my hand and she didn't want o do that. She would rather dig and fish in my arm for the vein. When I said that's enough she was angry with an attitude. They brought someone else in he tried the same spot. Again he did not hit it and was blaming me. Then they wanted me to give a urine sample. They sent me to the bathroom. When I entered the bathroom I was greeted by a urine filled stool with urine dried on the toilet seat. I am a female so needless to say this was not ok. When I said something about the male nurse who had fished for a vein replied "We are not janitors" ...i couldn't even believe I was treated and spoken to that way. I walked out. No stars deserved.

I can't believe of the response that I got from this hospital just now about a serious situation and got no where. Was transferred 4 times to two different hospitals. Unbelievable.
