One of the best hospitals I've ever been to.

Probably the worst medical care I've ever witnessed. Delayed ambulance response time. Ambulance took almost three hours for what should have been one hour round trip. No handwashing or antibacterial soap enforcement in ICU. No doctor in ICU half the time. The doc on rotation also rotates to other towns and was unreachable for 8 hours at a time. I'm not sure how not having a doctor on site is considered "intensive care". Nurses chewed gum in ICU. Food and drink were out next to patient rooms in ICU. Pharmacist left appeared to be a tackle box of drugs open in the hall. To top that off, from a customer perspective, the "liaison" only appeared once and that was to collect the insurance information. Never saw her again after that. Poor communication with family members who were on site, but HIPPA was violated as on multiple occasions as medical information was shared with extended family members over the phone without proper permission. Billing information was not coordinated to ancillary services. The most helpful people at this hospital are the other guests visiting loved ones.

Would be 0 but there is no such thing. I was calling for a payment arrangement and a lady didn’t know her way around I kept telling her I know the other account and I am already paying that but I received another bill saying I owe this much. She tells me there is nothing on my account and I should be getting a bill soon. Um. I already received it that’s why I am calling. So if it’s sent to collections I know who to have pay it since she told me I didn’t need to worry about it.

Seriously the worst services I’ve ever experienced. I have been with this place for 6 years and they still bill my father and charge the wrong insurance company. I have given them my insurance card and information multiple times and ask them to fix this problem and the continue to bill the wrong person and insurance company.

I truly believe there should be a way to show a Zero score. This is truly what this Hospital deserves. I pray some day I can forgive this facility (and those involved) for the life which was so carelessly stripped from my mother, my family and myself at this Hospital. Yes, my mother was finally sent via Life Flight to UNMC after being resituated and stabilized from the bleeds (aneurysms) which occurred after being seen by the neurosurgeon.... WHICH then proceeded to leave for his nice cozy home.... tired I guess...he was yawning. Yes, mother lived after being left to lay for hours in the ER at this facility... ALTHOUGH she will never again know life as she once did. The change to her life, my families and myself is very challenging and heartbreaking.... AS I am now a 24/7 caregiver. Yes, many of us live with the permanent brain damage my mother now has. It has been over a year, yes, but I feel it only right to warn others so no person OR family has to live through and what this family continues to live with on a daily basis. If you need a Neurosurgeon... I can recommend UNMC, even Bryan LGH West. NEVER, and I do mean NEVER would I recommend this ER or Hospital for any reason EVER. With what little I had to interact with the "on call" ER DOCTOR (which was only somewhat involved) I have one word for this MAN... POMPOUS!

Highly unprofessional. I was sent home with no help suffering the effect of a brain injury and had to relearn everything alone. And had complications due to the lack of follow up. I spoke to a care manager who lied to me stating she "had no idea" I had to relearn everything. She knew. She didn't care.

My husband became ill while we were traveling back home to Utah. He had practically passed out in our rv, when I saw the hospital sign. I came off and proceeded to the facility, which I found quickly. I pulled into the side of the ER parking and saw two attendants in an ambulance. I approached and asked for help and they jumped into action. The man literally lifted my up and out of the rv onto the cart with help of the female. Man, they were on him, hooking him up rushing him inside. The ER staff went to work immediately. They SAVED my husband that day, because if we had continue it would have been fatal! I thank the Lord for this hospital, he was there for two days and the whole staff was awesome even to the (3) people in Security, Terri, Scott and the young man I met that morning. The helped me hook the rv up till my husband was released. I love this place, I have never met a more friendly, God loving hospital staff of people. The Admitting office the lady at the window gave me information about the stores, was very helpful, very nice. Then the Er, again the doctors, the nurses, everybody these people could teach the world about love and Kindness, without the prejudice. I being a Black female felt so much love and care for my husband I want to move to Nebraska, this town. Everybody I encountered was totally nice, no racial slurs like back here in Utah. I love this town and these folks. God please keep your hand over this place. Thanks again, Verne & Nora

Poor care

Judgemental religious people that charge outrageous prices and don't fix the problem. Horrible place to go. The type of people that would tell you to pray while you're dying and need medical attention not prayer. I'd rather die in peace, i would not go there ever again even if my life depended on it!! Because I'd die anyway

CHI Health Good Samaritan. It is difficult to find the words to explain the awesome care I received at CHI GSH. From the time of admission, to pre/op, to Surgery to PACC-revovery to admission and care on the OB unit. I was treat like a VIP- (very important patient.) This health care organization is blessed with the top professionals. We are so blessed to have CHI health GSH In our community.

My dad was in the hospital for over a week dealing with chemo and related issues. I was so impressed at how skilled, knowledgeable , dedicated, and kind the entire nursing staff was each day, all day. I want to thank them all for going above and beyond to take care of my dad. They worked long, busy days, but for all the days I was there they were so professional and thoughtful to my dad. I wish I could remember everyone's names, but I wanted to give a big thank you to Megan and Kim for all of their help and support. Much gratitude to you both!

I normally don't like to commit on bad experiences, but I have had 4 separate family encounters at Good Samaritan Hospital and have had disappointing experiences. First one was with my mother. The second one with my father was horrible, and there are so many details of bad care that I don't want to take the time to elaborate, from lack of a DNR acknowledgement in the ER, to being called two days after my dad passed by the patient care coordinator, to discuss his "transfer" to a care home. Third one was with my father-in-law. The last one was just recently after a auto trauma accident, I had to practically beg to be admitted, but yet leaving the hospital in a walker, 2 days later. I can understand anyone can have a bad day, but it seems that this hospital has so many issues with staff, physicians, procedures that the patients are the ones who are caught in the cross-fire.

This is the worst care givers the head physician is the worst . Family member in hospital for 3 1/2 weeks They never found out what was wrong with him. Finally he was transferred to Omaha the found out the problem he had but with to much wasted time he did not survive. It was a very curable pneumonia! Will never have anyone treated at CHI the only thing they have that cares is the nurses and one doctor!

Alen Eckhardt

Friendly staff and doctors, seemed weird nobody was at the front desk when I walked in but there were clear instructions and a map that told how to get to whomever you were visiting, I did visit during a holiday which may explain the lack of people.

M Carr

Simply appauling care. The nurses don't care about the patients, too busy gossiping at the main desk. Flatly ignore requests. Requested a wheelchair which took over an hour. Changed the diaper of a bedridden patient once a day. Doctor refused to listen to patient concerns. Blatantly mis-led the patient on possible medical options. After talking patient to UNMC, she recieved the care she requested that Good Samaritan said was "unnecessary and too much work" within hours. Cannot stress enough the substandard care that was provided at Good Samaritan. Seriously, AVOID

There's not enough horrible things to say about this institution.

My children were involved in an automobile accident on Super bowl Sunday. My 19 year old daughter was airlifted to Good Sam after suffering a spinal cord injury. After spending 38 days in ICU she was released to rehab. In the 38 days we were there the entire staff treated us like they would treat their own family members. The ICU department is filled with some of THE BEST NURSES I HAVE EVER MET! They were caring, compassionate, and extremely patient. My daughter as well as our entire family has since gained an extended family in these GOOD SAMARITANS. GOOD SAMARITAN HOSPITAL IS THE PERFECT NAME FOR THIS FACILITY AND ALL OF IT'S EMPLOYEES. THANK YOU GOOD SAM FOR LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went in for a hip replacement and came out with a mangled ankle. I was supposed to be there 3-5 days...kicked me out the next morning so i wouldn't discover my black & purple ankle in their care! That was in 2015. To date i've had to have two surgeries on my ankle due to their lack of competence! Oh and yes its all on my dime! MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ME!

I had my fourth baby here. I had wonderful care and felt like a princess the way the nurses pampered me. Highly recommend for labor, delivery and recovery.

My mother was a patient at CHI just recently. The doctor my mom was seeing ordered physical therapy to help her. Not knowing what exactly was wrong with my mom, my dad started to ask questions and the physical therapist said he was following doctors orders. My dad kept asking him what he was doing therapy on and the therapist started to laugh and said he was just following doctors orders. He would not answer my dad and in fact made my dad more frustrated. So the therapist left and said that they refused therapy which to a certain point it is not true. If he would have not laughed at my dad for his questions and showed some respect towards my dad the therapist would have gotten more accomplished. After the therapist left my moms room, I overheard him tell the doctor who was in the nurse's station to watch for the people in room 3317, that therapy was refused, but actually it was not if it was explained well enough on what was going to happen and if this therapist would not have laughed at my dad and walked out of the room. This therapist also started to monk my dad and was laughing the whole time he was telling the people in the nurse's station. This therapist saw that that I was listening and then started to whisper to another fellow employee which then I could not hear nothing. This in my opinion is very very much unprofessional and not ACCEPTABLE BY NO MEANS... I think the physical therapy dept needs to be retrained on how to show respect to the patient and their families.. Thank you for listening..

This hospital was amazing when it came to giving birth to my son. I couldn't have been located in a better place. They have a NiCU on site as well as air-ambulance services.

Everyone who cared for me at Good Samaritan was caring, professional and demonstrated a high level of compassion. They took the time to explain to me what was happening and offered suggestions to keep me comfortable. I felt very confident in their expert care.
