I had the misfortune of having driving my brother to the hospital after he had a bout with food poisoning. I don't feel like I can honestly put into words the distain I have for this Hospital and its staff. After being rudely treated by the Personnel in the ER, they finally escorted him back to a room and then ignored us for almost 3 hours. In that time they told us they can't give him anything for the pain because they can't be sure he wasn't taking drugs. At three different times I tried to talk to various medical staff and see if they could do anything to help him relieve some of his pain, only to be told to calm down and that there is absolutely nothing they could do for us but to wait until the blood test results came back. I sincerely hope that I will never have to visit this hospital again because I think I will take my chances in a life-threatening situation to drive to Missoula. This hospital should be boycotted and then promptly shut down.

Yeah Youbetcha

I have had numerous procedures at MDMH and have had overall good experiences. Perfect ? No, but I feel like it is a pretty good hospital. A lot of feedback I have read is based on individual interactions with various doctors not so much the actual hospital.

Not capable of caring for children in the least bit. My daughter was taken in and diagnosed with pnuemonia. Two nurses were absolutely great, there were two that shouldn't be nurse. One nurse in the ICU forcefully held my 3 year old down while she was in pain, having a hard time breathing etc. My daughter was screaming for her life at this point. I had to yell at this nurse to get off my daughter and she proceeded to yell back at me that if she didn't cooperate she would die! Who says that!?! I proceeded to tell her to get out of my room so she took my daughter's oxygen tube away and told me I was refusing my daughter oxygen!!! I said no, I'm not refusing her oxygen, I'm refusing her you! Thankfully I demanded them to transport my daughter to community hospital in Missoula! I will NEVER go back to Marcus Daly!

Dr. Couershan at the doctor office in Corvallis, isn't very good. She has misdiagnosed several patients. Patients that had pneumonia,COPD and colon cancer. She basically told them nothing was wrong with them.

My wife, a Military Veteran, had her wrist done and is doing fine. Very caring compared to Northern Rockies Orthopedics, their Dr. Stayner was very rude and belittled my wife and also insulted me. Dr. Stayner needs to take lessons from Marcus Daly Memorial in treating patients with Respect and Care ! Thanks again to Marcus Daly Hospital and its Caring Team!

The nurses on staff lied to my girlfriend about her rights to discharge and held her against her will. Even if it's not medically advised a patient can still leave. Some cases if the law is involved this isn't true. In her case she is being held against her will and against her rights.

Our 19 month old son was having a hard time breathing. What they call retracted breathing that all parents are warned about. Went to the clinic, after flu test came back negative, it was recommended to go to the ER. We took him to Community where we were told there was nothing they could do for him unless his condition got worse. It was obvious he had very labored breathing. After being home for a bit, we couldn’t stand to watch him in so much discomfort. After a lot of worry and dilemma we decided to take him to Marcus Daly for a second opinion. Being a Sunday, we had to go to the ER...AGAIN. The diagnosis was the same, but they gave him a simple breathing treatment and within minutes his breathing returned to almost normal. They took the extra care and decided to do a chest x-ray, since his onset was so quick. Looking for any physical obstruction. Luckily that came back negative but confirmed what they had suspected, a viral lung infection. I was outraged that such a simple solution wasn’t administered on our first ER visit at Community. I’m very aware of the misperception of Marcus Daly in the community, but they are the ONLY reason my 19 month old finally got the relief he needed. We are very grateful for the compassionate doctor who understood our worries and to the respiratory therapist, Jay, who was so patient and informative. Thank you Marcus Daly’s ER, I can’t explain the relief and comfort you brought our family after a very long and stressful day.

When I broke my back they didnt do a full scan and had up and walking around! I kept getting worse and worse! They finally scanned the rest of my back, immediately strapped me to a board and said dont move! Your hoing in for emergency surgery! This was only done after 2 days of walking around. Now I have so much more damage it will never be fixed because they didnt do their jobs. My mother in law went there into ER every few months with severe stomach pain & throwing up & since shes on pain medicine for a major wreck she was in they blew her off for about 2 years. At one of these er visits we removed her from their care when we found out they gave her medicine she was allergic too. Drove her to Missoula, foind out she was having a major heart attack! They almost killed her and had no clue! If you are not bleeding out and think its safe to go to Missoula do it! Bypass MDMH if you want to be healthy

Went there as my son got a moderate concussion that I wanted checked out. Took him to the ER. Nurses and doctors were friendly and helpful, but intake was super slow and I had to answer the same question multiple times from the intake assistant...I get pretty frustrated when someone asks me a question, I answer and then they forget what my answer is and ask the same question later-especially when I want my son checked out ASAP. Took a good 3+ hours from intake to diagnosis. For a small town hospital, that seemed a little slow to me. We were there at 10am-so it's not like we were there when there was a skeleton staff. If nurses and doctor weren't as nice and reassuring to my boy, they would get fewer stars for the intake and slow diagnosis.

Great hospital, great staff. My husband and I both had bad experiences at the Catholic hospital in Missoula. Got wonderful care at Marcus Daly. Will always go there first.

Over the past 8 years my husband has needed emergency care for various accidents and incidents...one landed him in the hospital for 9 days. We have always experienced caring, communicative doctors and staff.

Was terrible to say the least!!!The ER doc told my 3 year old granddaughter that her mommy was gonna die yep that's right didn't ask me to step out of my van at all...when I did so my grandchild didn't have to hear he yelled and screamed at me so close to my face his spit landed on my face!!!Uhm why would you tell a child that then treat me that way I did nothing to deserve that treatment!!!He been smiled when he told my daughter what he told her child how sick and twisted!!I'm still upset and shacking over the treatment I got and my grandchild has finally stopped screaming over a hour and half of her being scared to death all cause of what the doc said to her!!!I want to know what gives a doctor the right to do what he did...I'm an adult fine give me your best BUT to my granddaughter all of 3 years oh no that's messed up!!!Who can I call or call me to deal with this his treatment of me and my grandchild verging on assult with having hos spit landing on my face!!!If I was to treat a doctor that way I'd already be in jail for it...dont they have to obey the law as well???At the least know what and what not to say to a child?!?!?I need no want answers for the way we were treated today!!!!Thank you

Worst hospital and doctors ever! I have been there numerous times even with MRI and x rays records from Neuro surgeon in Missoula and California I have a rod and screws in my lower back with degenerative disc disease, scoliosis nerve damage etc. It is inoperable specialist in Missoula said there is no surgery that will help at this point it is getting worse and will continue. They all want to accuse of drug seeking! ! I am a retired peace officer and it is humiliating. No I don't and no need in trying to explain that to any of them, I was in horrible, agonizing pain dr.urso is one of the worst. As I understand the epidemic with opioid pain medication in Montana there are people like me who are responsible and in need of help at times. As the only hospital in our community it should be where we can support and trust.

Diagnosed with Breast Cancer, Dr. Channer operated on me, he was very caring and thoughtful.Im so grateful for the support him and his crew gave me. Also with the oncologists in Missoula, Dr. Linford. If you want a 5 star , red carpet hospital maybe you need to leave Montana and go to California.
