Absolutely the worst medical facility I’ve ever been too. Don’t plan on friendly, or prompt services. Plan on big huge bills and mental anguish.

Last night I took my husband to Deaconess Hospital with chest pressure and referred pain down his arm. Just five weeks before he had been hospitalized in the Seattle area with multiple, large pulmonary embolisms. We were really worried. We couldn't have had better, more attentive, efficient care! Everyone from the receptionist to the techs to the doctors did their jobs with care, professionalism and efficiency. Thank you Dr. Sturgess, Matthew, Brandy, Grace, et al.

Over the years, Bozeman Deaconess has continued to grow, and spread out into nearly all the walk in clinics in the area. They staff walk-in clinics with PAs, and charge the same rate as if I saw a specialist. Probably great for everyone who has insurance, so they screw your insurance company and contribute to everything wrong with rising health care costs in America. They destroyed the reputation of my primary during the purchase of his practise by saying he didn't have good records of the drugs he prescribed over 35 years, so they contacted the DEA to discredit him, and get out of paying for his agreed upon retirement package. Now I'm out the best physician I've had in 20 years, and my old primary can no longer practise medicine. Poor ethics, and the pursuit of the almighty dollar is their only interest. Shareholders should be ashamed of themselves! Always pay before you leave, and get something in writing saying that you have a zero balance and zero due. Part of their common practise is to tell you nothing is due at the time of your visit. They cant even quote you what an office visit might cost, because they prefer to send you a phantom invoice for an insane amount. Don't worry, your first bill might not show up for 6 months, but when it does, if you question the bill, or ask for details, they will let you know that even though this is the first bill you have received, it will go to collections in 30 days. We waited 14 days just to ask why we received a $39.00 invoice from Feb in Oct. They couldn't even tell us what it was for, because it was already paid. I could go on and on but you get the idea. Paying $385 to see a PA for an ear infection is absolutely insane, and I refuse to pay that ever again or go to any Bozeman deaconess affiliated "practise"!!

The most rude people on the phone you can talk. I had a lady give me a lot of attitude and be very rude the entire time we were on the phone. I was being very polite and saying please and thank you. At the end she just hung straight up on me. Not recommended.

Wendy Westfall

Bozeman Deaconess Hospital has been my primary healthcare provider for the past 4 yrs even during the time I stayed in another state for work. My family has received excellent care from day to day healthcare to major surgeries. Dr Spinelli and Karen Izbicki PA have been phenomenal!

Doug Rand

I recently broke 4 ribs and partially collapsed a lung and bounced my head off the bottom of concrete swim pool. The staff at Bozeman Health could not have been better. They took care of me right away and every one of them did a great job. In the past 33 years I have often used their services including the ICU for myself. This a very good hospital staffed by the best you will find. (Those unhappy reviewers might consider the possibility you are not very good patients.)

I had a series of strokes a few years back. There are signs warning that when you have a stroke "seconds count" all over there hospital, "brain cells die by the millions as seconds pass", they say. I was wheeled into emergency throwing up and "BLIND", I had completely lost my eyesight and use of my right side! They told my wife to move the car and while she was trying to find a parking spot I was left setting in a wheelchair. I remember sitting in that chair blind and I could hear someone close to me emptying trash cans, I was trying to say "HELP" but was unable to, it was terrifying! It took my wife ten minutes or so to find a parking spot and get back to emergency, I was still sitting in the chair in the same place as when she left, she threw a fit and finally I was wheeled into a room and laid in a bed where I was ignored for 10 or 15 more minutes. 25 to 30 mins before first doctor showed up. "UNCONSCIONABLE" lack of professionalism!! St. V's in Billings were so different in their approach it was amazing, avoid Bozeman Deaconess at all costs!!!! When "seconds count" they'll be with you in "30 minutes"!!!

I drove all the way from Helena to go to the ER. I was seen right away, not even a 5 minute wait. The staff were incredibly nice and did there best to treat me. Great hospital!

Pete Sobrepena

The most unprofessional environment at the ER. Front lady leaning back BS in with two other girls talking about nothing. Nurse came in very unprofessional did not greet look like he was always mad. Go over the hill to Livingston. I little bit longer but may make your needs much better during an emergency time

It's hit or miss on getting a doctor and/or nurse that is there to practice medicine and help people rather than a team that is just there to socialize. There are a couple good ones but I'd say the odds are not in your favor.

Other bad reviews are accurate in my opinion. Only department worth seeing is the women’s health specialist for primary care, and labor and delivery for pregnancy. I’m flying all the way to Mayo Clinic in a few weeks for something that could have been taken care here if the infrastructure, communication and departments took pride in their work.

Went through a phase where I was in and out of the hospital for constant/chronic nausea and vomiting. Every single time i would come in they would give a different cocktail of medications and send me on my way. Multiple times i would leave in worse shape than i was in. They did tests once and were constantly rude to me. I only go here because it is the only hospital in bozeman. I literally am on the verge of needing an ambulance and i refuse to do so because i will not return to this hospital. So sad.

Michael Vincent

I am a healthcare worker in the Phoenix area. My mother and father went to the ED today at Bozeman Deaconess when he woke up with persistent nausea/vomiting, tremors and unable to stand. He is going through radiation therapy after having a prostatectomy (in Phoenix) for prostate cancer. The highlight of the experience was when my 62 year old mother wheeled dad out of his ED room letting them know he needed a bathroom break. Nurse Missy said okay, pointed in the general direction of the bathroom and watched her wheel him away. My 62 year old mother then grabbed him up from his armpits and hoisted him over to the toilet. Now, in my hospital, we don’t let family members lift patients up and down. They seem to do things differently there. I am actively looking for a flight to go help take care of things. In the meantime, I am very frustrated with their general lack of concern for my family. I have plenty more stories to tell in the short three hours that they have been there, but that one really infuriated me. On a side note, when I called to “visit” with the charge nurse, he was understanding and tolerated my dissatisfaction quite well.

Julian Gaub

My mom has had a couple stays at Bozeman Deaconess, and we have met members of the staff from the ER, PT/OT, Med Floor, Case Management, etc. Every staff member we have encountered has been nothing but excellent. They all do an amazing job not only caring for my mom, but also caring for all of us family members as well. This is an excellent hospital.

Cody

Scheduled an appointment for my first visit. Had to schedule a month out. About a week and a half after scheduling I receive a call letting me know another doctor can see me sooner. I reschedule so I can get in 2 weeks earlier than my original appointment. Three days after receiving this call and rescheduling, I receive another call that my new appointment has been cancelled, because the new doctor had to go out of town. They then proceed to tell me that they can reschedule me another month later from the current date, and can’t get me in sooner. They rescheduled me, then cancelled and tried pushing me out over a month and a half from the day I submitted my original request for an appointment. Horrible service. Never experienced anything like it before.

Tanner Schmitz

Very very inconsistent care! If you want real help save your time and just buck up and go to Billings. They least have a real grasp on how to execute healthcare.

Elena Sera Jose

Very rude on the phone. The nurse was clueless and confused my boyfriend with some other guy. I wish there was another hospital in the area.

Daniel Layeux

Staff are incredibly rude and dismissive, joked about a patient while she couldn’t breathe and was passing out in front of them. Do not go to them for anything ever. Find a different hospital. Dr. Borke should have his medical license stripped.

Tina Neil

This is the worst place ever and unfortunately it's the only option if you live in Bozeman. I have a chronic illness and have to see a specialist. The Neurologist I see is great but the rest of the staff in the office can't seem to do anything right. I don't know how many times I have to call them just to get them to give me a refill on a prescription. The billing department is even worse, you get a bunch of bills that all say Bozeman Deaconess on them but when you call to make payment arrangements they don't tell you that you have to make arrangements with each department individually. If you can avoid going here I would.

Kat Fincher

Had to come here after a skiing accident, really wish there had been a different choice. The staff were nice, but the administration was awful, they wanted to pretend like my insurance didn't exist.

Seth Powell

I would give you zero stars if I could for your lack of care given to my wife and I.

Andrew Thomas

I was out running on New Year's day and fell on ice. I broke my wrist. I wasn't looking forward to spending the day in the ER, but I went anyway. Best thing was, I was in and out of there in under two hours. I was pretty happy, considering it was a holiday. Everyone there anticipated what I needed and things moved along really efficiently. No one wants to end up in the ER, but it went as good as it could possibly go and the care was great.

Frank Parrish

This was the best medical experience I have ever had. My wife was very ill and we went to the ER to have her seen by a doctor. The check in, vitals, and exam room assignment literally took less than 5 minutes. Dr Kellher was in the room in less than 2 minutes. He spent a great deal of time listening to us and explaining his thoughts. The blood tests were done quickly in the room. Even the Chest x ray was done in the room. I was seriously impressed at the thoroughness, kindness, and professionalism we experienced. This was an amazing experience. I highly recommend this medical facility. You won't be disappointed.

Phillip Carson

As a whole it is an OK hospital but the medical staff is absolutely horrid rude, inconsiderate.

Corbin Thornton

Good service, I had a minor allergic reaction to my medications and was looked at and discharged with a new prescription within roughly two hours. Really put my worries to rest.

Hillary Smith

This entire hospital is a joke; ER, Internal Med, Rheumatologist, etc. I have been going to the hospital at least once a week for the last 3 months and the ER three times to figure out a diagnosis for my ongoing medical problems. In 12 weeks I was passed off to four different doctors, each one more incompetent than the last one, where each doctor said "I was a head scratcher" meaning they couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. I finally got so fed up I decided to drive 2 hours to Billings Clinic and lo and behold, they figured out what was wrong with me in ONE VISIT with ONE DOCTOR. Needless to say, my new Doctor at Billings was really unimpressed with all of the paperwork and blood lab results I brought her from Bozeman Deaconess. Long story short - save your time and drive the two hours to Billings or Helena to get real help. Also - Billings Clinic is opening a location in Bozeman so hopefully we all don't have to wait too much longer for good help!

Ange Apple

If I could give no stars I would...went into the ER several times for problems with my health and each time they had to give me an IV. You would think this is an easy task. I don't have tough veins (back in Washington they got me an IV on the first try no problem). But no counting, two visits alone and over 15 tries for them trying to get an IV in before I could even get anything done. They popped 4 blood vessels and finally gave up and had someone bring in an ultra sound. I have never seen such incompetent and RUDE nurses in my life. They have had a rude nurse(s) every time I go. Once, they ran tests and found nothing wrong they sent me home still not knowing what's wrong with me having severe stomach pain this time and severe nausea and other symptoms that suggest I have an infection. Go to Billings or move to Missoula if you actually want to be treated in the ER. Terrible staff, terrible bed side manner, terrible practice. CLOSE THIS HOSPITAL.

Brandon Endy

Most unhelpful people I have ever encountered. I have called for both obtaining medical records and changing billing and receive nothing but "yeah, we can't do that". I'm not one to write reviews, but you don't deserve to be left alone on this. First of all, anybody has a right to obtain their medical records, for both insurance purposes or for rehabilitation purposes. So I find it odd that when I call and ask how I can request that information that all I heard was, "oh sorry but we don't do that" and "we don't provide that information". Oh, you don't do your job? You don't grant a person something they have a right to obtain? I also called to make a very simple change with my billing info and it ended with me hanging up the phone because I was frustrated with the sheer stupidity of whoever I was talking to. How can somebody be in charge of answering a phone if they are going to be completely rude, unhelpful, uninformative and act like they hate their life? Listen, if you don't like your job, get a new one. Don't put other people in a confusing situation because you have a terrible attitude. It should be VERY EASY to change payment info. I've done it online multiple times without having to deal with some rude numbskull who somehow gets to keep their job that they perform so terribly. Yeah, the care at Bozeman Health is nothing to complain about, but the staffing in those departments is awful. Put people on the phones that know how to talk to another person and has a full, in-depth understanding of what the hell you are paying them to do. Absolutely ridiculous, you should be ashamed that you have those people giving your establishment a bad name.

Randall Griebel

An R.N. is unable to diagnose since it is out of their scope of practice (to the person that posted about their frostbite and warts)!

Vanessa Gunnell

Financial services rarely returns calls, and had never picked up the phone when I call. But, they are quick to send one to collections even though I'm making trackable payments. My individual doctor, and some of the nurses are awesome people, but, they nearly killed me once, and I ended up with a massive infection that no one believed me for a long time because I didn't have a "fever or discharge. " Hospital stay with IV antibiotics after that. I have more than one friend that has terrible stories about infections due to foreign things left inside, during surgery. Night nursing staff and day nursing staff-totally different entities Beware at night, you are expected to keep track of what time it is and call when your next set of meds is due. If be all good with that if the day staff operated the same way, but they don't. That was a hard learned, and incredibly painful lesson. I can't get an appointment with a rheumatologist, and it took them about four calls over a year period to still not really tell me they wouldn't take me. I used to go to an NP there that I loved. She listened, she was intelligent and had all kinds of great ideas, outside of the usual box. The hospital changed hands and philosophy, and she was pushed to have way shorter appointments, could no longer remember what we'd already talked about and done. I was brokenhearted after ten years with the same NP. If they ever build another hospital, or you can get out of town to Livingston, and away from this system, I recommend you do. They're attitude and terrible service carries right over to the Urgent Care on Main Street, lately. It wasn't always that way. It is now. You're better off going to Zip Clinic.

Night staff absolutely awful. I’m currently 7 months pregnant and I fell down the stairs and broke my toe and sliced my hand open. I was given two male nurses who then told me to take off all my clothes which was extremely uncomfortable. I was put in a room and no one checked on me for almost 45 minutes. No body EVER cleaned my wounds. They just gave me a bandaid. Which is ridiculous. I was hooked up to machines to monitor baby and I couldn’t reach my call button to say I desperately needed to go pee. I had to unplug my monitor limp through the hall at 7 months pregnant with blood all over my foot and hand on the dirty floor and no body would help me find the bathroom and then finally one nurse turned around very annoyed and pointed waaaay down the hall and then proceeded to watch me limp back to the bathroom which I then had to clean my own foot and hand with my little bandaid that they apparently only had on hand. I asked for a wheelchair and they acted as if I slapped them in the face. I was moved to labor and delivery and the nurses there were wonderful! So surprising the night nurses in the ER are so awful and yet just at the other end of the building they have wonderful labor and delivery nurses.

I've been to the ER a few times here. The first time they couldn't figure out what was wrong with me and told me I was fine and sent me home. Same thing two days later when I was back in because I couldn't breathe. Three days after that, my roommates had to carry me in because I couldn't walk, breathe, and had a sky high fever along with fever blisters. They still couldn't figure out what was wrong with me and just gave me painkillers. Never did figure out what was wrong. In the ER today with my boyfriend, who is having a hard time breathing, can't talk, chills, and nauseous. We've been waiting to see someone for at least 2 hours and we've seen at least 6 + people who have come in after us get taken back before us. I'm pretty sure they forgot we were there. Absolutely the worst Emergency Room ever. I could have driven us to Billings and been seen by a doctor by now.

Dan Houck

Hands down the worst company in Bozeman. Their only motivation is to charge you or your insurance as much money as possible. What makes it even worse is the arrogance you get from everyone, starting with the doctors down to the accounting department. Here's a crazy thought. We are your customers, try to remember that!! We will go somewhere else!!

Janet Jones

Very caring informative medical center

Ievy Frost

The emergency room is the worst. Maybe consider driving to Billings. They never fix a problem and you are there for 12 to 13 hours. And everyone is extremely rude. Except maybe the receptionist.

Donna Boatman

They sent me home from the ER saying they couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. I passed out driving home and flipped my car. I had c-dif.

william navarro

Worst hospital in the state, wife crying in pain over 3 hours in the ER . Everyone else is more important to them. Left without any treatment.

Hannah Newman

In the ER for extreme morning sickness. The nurse was looking through my files and told me I wasn’t pregnant. I was shocked and said, “yes I am, what do you mean?” And she blankly said I wasn’t again. My husband demanded how she knew and she said she didn’t see it on the report. He then looked through it and said, “IT SAYS HERE, she has Hyperemesis and is 12 weeks pregnant.” She said, “oh okay.” This is a summary but for ten minutes we were fighting with her that I WAS PREGNANT. The trauma of hearing I wasn’t and she was insisting it was something else is UNACCEPTABLE. I wish I could remember her name and give a full complaint. Older lady with blonde hair.

Watch your bills! They repeatedly miss charged or over charged our bills and take months to turn things over to our in network insurance company. One of the latest things that happened to us, was our insurance company charged Bozeman Deaconess a penalty fee for being so slow when submitting their charges. Bozeman Deaconess then turned around and tried making us cover their penalty fee. We eventually got that figured out. After that, they duplicated a charge, making a bill appear to be much larger than it should have been. By the time I got both the insurance company on the phone with Bozeman Deaconess to get everything figured out, Bozeman Deaconess had already turned us over to a collection agency! It was a big ugly mess and all Bozeman's fault. I have more than enough money to cover all their charges in full and I'd love to simply pay my bills as soon as they come in, but if I did that, I'd just end giving a couple thousand dollars extra to the hospital. I hate this so much and it happens pretty much ever time we receive a bill.

Phil Williams

Cardiology Department provided good service and gets four stars, but the billing department with the fancy-pants title of "Bozeman Health Patient Financial Services" was terrible and gets a zero: worse than one star. One Monday morning I tried to phone that billing department, was on hold for 40 minutes with no answer, then left a phone message with call-back number. Nobody called back. Tried again around 2pm, and left another phone message with call-back number. Again nobody called back. The administration of this hospital, particularly in billing, seems incompetent and inefficient. I noticed when going on to billing's website that lots of functions didn't work, such as the FAQ, which provide an error message when you click on FAQ. And the hospital website still has a message supporting one of the 2018 election's ballot initiatives (I-185?) as of 01/07/2019, a good two months after the end of the election in which that initiative went down to defeat. Hospital administrators need to be held accountable for some really low-quality administration and management. Perhaps a relevant fact here is that Bozeman has only one hospital and thus no alternative and no competitor, unlike Missoula's two hospitals. The billing department and administration in general needs an intensive review and overhaul so that patients, doctors, and nurses can be more professionally supported by an effective administration for a change.

Jason

The worst facility ever. What ever happened to a doctors oath to care for and treat patients with compassion. The doctors lie and for the most part, you have nurses that are burn outs? Or just plain do not care. Here is an idea, treat the patients according to what the patient feels, listen to a patient, they know more about their disease than the doctors. The nurses are just as much of a joke, you take care of patients, but don’t read the patients charts. Give the wrong medications or input an opinion about what you think a doctor would do. Worst facility and quite honestly, I bet your lawyers are constantly busy defending your staff. You almost killed a patient 3 years ago, because the nurse didn’t feel the patient wasn’t seriously ill, 45 minutes later patient was in emergency surgery. I could only hope, there is another facility built closer to bozeman or that The administration and doctors, stop labeling patients and just start treating them with compassion again. Here’s an idea, go read the oath you took and look at it and maybe then, you might remember why you do what you do and for whom. You are not gods, stop acting like one.

I had excellent care from the time I entered the ER until discharge. The staff was competent, caring and excelled in their individual capacities. Thank you, Bozeman Deaconess for being there and doing a fantastic job.

I've seen who I believe to be a nurse 1hr 30min ago and I'm still waiting on someone to see me. It's 9:00pm and excluding 3 other people, who came in after me, it's empty. no excuse to have not seen a doctor by now

Mr. Montana

Just to be clear, this feedback is spot on. I am a healthcare executive with years of experience and I wanted to respond to inform people what to do when they have a complaint with this facility, a healthcare provider, or anyone that carries a license in the state of Montana. If you file a complaint with the CEO (in this case it would be Mr. Hill who is the CEO) the buck stops there. The reason I say this is for several reasons. Executive administration wants to keep things in house & protect their employees, support staff, & their environment & reputation, & in this case, "the lack of". I do think that people get into healthcare initially because they want to make a difference & help people out (this is good) but a lot of people (e.g. physicians, nurses, CNAs, support staff, billing/revenue cycle people, general staff, etc) get burned out by the inadequacies of management and the inefficiencies in operations. We all have bad days, but we know healthcare is expensive and we want the best service possible for ourselves and our loved ones. If you are the patient, or you have a friend or family member who is the patient, & they have a bad experience with the care or administration, I do believe in reporting it to the hospital & management. HOWEVER, if you really want to see some changes in healthcare, report the incident to Montana State Medical Examiners Board. You can do this unanimously. Call them and you will talk to a "real" person and they will give you all the time you need to express your concerns. They don’t rush you and they seem to genuinely care about you. In turn they open a report for this person(s). They reach out to the healthcare provider and this can be very embarrassing for them. This record follows them forever. So, if they go to another facility, or another state, this record follows them. The only way healthcare will change is to make that call. CEOs & administration staff are busy so once you make that call to Helena, at times they even require the provider to drive out & visit with the board. The board is awesome, and they are all human but until the public starts to reach out to the Medical Examiners Board, the care you receive in a healthcare facility will be sub-par. You may be fortunate and receive good care one time, but I can tell you better go buy a lottery ticket if you receive the same outstanding care again which unfortunately is not likely or common. If the general public knew that physicians in clinics and hospitals are pressured from administration in the hospital to see so many patients per hour, or if they knew of the initial under-staffing that takes place and not filling FTEs so they essentially can put more money in their pockets, or the complexity in Billing, etc. Many hospitals use templates for their operations (not specifically designed software which would come in handy), are heavy on meetings and emails, then the public would start to cry out and start asking questions on why we are paying so much for healthcare services. I tell you because we have too many people doing the same things in the healthcare setting and are not willing to change because the money keeps rolling in. Try calling the CEO of our hospital and see if you ever get a call back. Most people in Administration are so out of touch with the real issues and they are more concerned about making more money and offering more services, but not worried about fixing the underlying issues before growing. What a waste of money and it costs everyone money including the private payer, insurance companies, as well as the government payers. I know we say, well they have the money, but I can tell you the private payer who struggles to make their premium payment and have health insurance for their family (which is many of the middle-class people) will tell you these costs keep going up yet nothing changes in the system. So, pick up the phone and call The Montana Medical Examiners Board. Or you can at least threaten to call them, and you will see managers, supervisors, and CEOs start to respond.

My son broke his femur in 6 places in a ski accident February 27. The staff on the surgical floor cared for him for 5 days. It was the best care we could have ever asked for during such a trying time. There were attentive and knowledgeable. Wish we lived closer!!

Mikeal Beland

I have had unspeakable experiences here. Shame.

Sarah Javorsky

Treated us poorly. I understand the nurses are under stress but they could have been a lot nicer to the wife of the paitient. I can't give this place enough bad reviews. These people stink.'= The incompetence is unbelieveable as well

My wife had 2 kids there. Anastacia almost killed her and they sent the wrong last name to the collectors. Bozeman hospital is awful and they messed up our life and credit.

Randall Scott

The doctor is great but their billing department is a nightmare. Can't pay online as they advertise. Just got turned into a collection agency by them for $4.65. Wasn't even aware of this charge.

Jungle Jim

you're in severe pain? red flag for drug seeking behavior. everything you say from this point on is a lie and will not be taken seriously. recurring sickness for the last two years, you say? probably allergies. heres some more antibiotics. if your condition worsens, we will cross that bridge when we come to it. sorry, we dont offer preventive healthcare. that comes to a total of $3,000. theres the door. goodluck!

Bob Smolen

Be Warned!!!! If you go into the hospital for a procedure, make sure ALL of the doctor's involved are covered by your insurance. I just received the bill from a third party that the hospital contracts with and found out the third party is out of network. The hospital refuses to take responsibility for this, even though I went through them to set up my procedure. Pretty sad.

Nicole Creer

Hands down one of the best experiences I've had at a hospital. I've have 4 surgeries prior to this one and this hospital has by far been the best. The nurses and doctors were absolutely amazing. Extremely caring and genuine people. I felt safe and well taken care of the entire time I was in there hands. Big thank you to the men and women who helped take care of me and made me feel as comfortable as possible.

Rebuilt Gearbox

I've had a lot of dangerous jobs and hobbies in my life, so I've been to a lot of hospitals, and this is a very good one...mostly. They did save my life, cared for me through a coma, and brought me back without my brains fried, but my bills went to collection while I was still forgetting how to put one foot in front of the other in mid-step...by the time my mind was working coherently, everything I had ever put in the bank had been taken, and I'm now in poverty. There have been a few other stays, for appendicitis and smaller things that went pretty well as far as healing me went, but I've had bills go to collection after they were paid by insurance and every couple of months, I get a wave of collections notices and calls about bills already paid. Overall, I would say that the medical staff is great, but they keep a barrel of soul-less monkeys as a billing department.

Angela Lockridge

Best hospital ever. We are from Spokane wa my husband was sick while we were on vacation. All the staff was amazing and took good care of my husband. The dr. Melissa was the best. Wish we had drs. And hospitals like that in Spokane. Thank you so much.

bill gingerich

Jessica Detlor

not much experience among other areas, but their family birth center is amazing :)

Theresa Schrum

The billing procedures for this conglomerate are a nightmare. The online system does NOT work. Even with the bill right in front of you, the system says the enrollment ID is invalid. So, you call the number to pay over the phone and wait on hold forever. I guess they don't want their money too badly. I think I'd rather pay the collection agency.

Alex Talbert

Had two terrible experiences with them and each visit had outrageous hidden fee's. My dad had a sliver removed from his hand and it cost $580 to remove but was told the his bill wouldn't exceed $300. These people are white collar criminals so try not to get hurt or just drive to Butte and pay half the price!

matthew goulett

Worst hospital in all of America!!!!!

Jeffrey Cory PhD at Bozeman Health has committed Fraud and Malpractice against me and Bozeman Health will not repair their very proven mistakes as Bozeman Health is Bogus Health doing very proven harm to their Patients

What is funny is that not only do you get bad service, the employees complain about their jobs including the Dr.s. Everyone keeps saying administration is horrible.

Great doctors and nurses.

Wish you guys knew how to treat blood clots and didn't tell patients that it was all in there heads and that they had nothing to worry about, would also be nice if your nurses worked on their bedside manner instead of being explicitly rude and arguing with people about their medical history etc . It would be super great if anyone in the emergency department knew hot to give an iv without blowing out several veins and digging around in my mothers arm for 20 minutes. Worst hospital ever I would not recommend coming here if you want to receive proper treatment GO TO BILLINGS !!!!

William S.

If you don't have to go here, don't. Particularly stay away from the disaster of an ER. Staff don't care, the ER techs will probably ridicule you with the nurses and doctors. Billing transparency is non-existent and their staff are unqualified for much of their duties.

Logan Smith

Criminal Organization. I was there for only 30 minutes total between waiting having a nurse clean a cut and give me 3 stitches. A month later I was given a bill for nearly 1300.00 I asked them to to reduce the ludicrous bill multiply times and then never heard back now I have collection agency's calling my work and demanding money immediately. For reference my friend went to zip clinic with a much worse cut and needed 7 stitches they charged him 147.00. Go anywhere but here.

If they don't have any billing info for an employee, they just send you to collections.

I used to praise this hospital, however, the shift towards administration and policy heavy service has led to repeated disappointing experiences. Just today, calling the Emergency Room to find out if they were slammed or not before bringing in my mother after a fall down a flight of stairs, I was refused a transfer to the ER by the operator, and transferred to a nurse hotline in an entirely different city where I sat on hold for over 15 minutes. It us my firm belief that good medical care providers are being unduly hampered to a shameful degree. If there was anywhere else I could take my family in an emergency, I would.

Had kidney stones and had multiple surgeries done there. Go to emergency room and get scan. Found stone. Do surgery and dont re image me. 6 months later , stones again. Go to emergency get image. Re imaged before surgery, then imaged/scan after surgery. Struggling to pay all the charges. I question why wasn't I reimagined after first surgery? And question if stone was left in? Hospital sends all my Bill's to collection. But not one collector but 4. Do an internal investigation and send me a letter stating they investigated themselves and found no responsibility on there part. They did everything possible to hurt my family financially because I threatened to sue. Couldn't find a lawyer in Bozeman that would touch it. Most were already retained by the deaconess or said there wasn't enough money in it for them.hope we get a better hospital one day. Ended up and this is even with insurance, the hospital ended up getting my retirement fund to pay them. They wanted at one time payments of 2600 per month. So here I am 50 years old, 401k gone to pay the Bozeman deaconess hospital. Glad they are here to help.

One star is giving Bozeman Health ER too much. This is Matt's wife speaking. I am terribly dissatisfied with the care I got from Bzn ER for a locked knee. I should have gone to Bridger Orthopedic Urgent Care first. The ER dept. sent me away with an Ace bandage, crutches, pain killers and hopes that I might be seen by an Orthopedic in six days. They told me that a MRI request is frowned upon by insurance companies, so that was a dead issue (even though it's what truly needs to happen). Meanwhile, I have memories of having to lie on the waiting room floor to get comfortable and have two X-ray techs tug at my leg to get a botched X-ray (my leg would simply not go into the position for the proper X-ray). The next day I passed out from the pain I was in. My husband called the ER asking if they could issue the MRI that I should have gotten the previous day. They told him we could come in again if we wanted, but they couldn't promise anything (other than another expensive bill). After getting off the phone with ER, we decided to go to Bridger Orthopedic Urgent Care. They were fabulous. Dr. Teri Dudzinski found the solution to unlock my knee and get me out of my misery. Once my leg was able to straighten, they were able to get the X-rays needed. Bozeman Health ER was not interested in caring for me as a patient, they just saw me as a $$$ (and welcomed me back the next day without any promises). I am disgusted.

Great ER experience X 2

RN & PA failed to properly diagnose frost-bite and a wart virus. Then tried to stick me with a $300-400 bill weeks later. Had to pay Dr.John Tkach, 300 N. Wilson Ave. $133 to tell me to purchase Benzoyl Peroxide/Terminator 10 (Acne cream) that fixed the problem so-far WITHOUT going to Bozeman Deaconess.

Horrible. My boyfriend had an abscess in throat, he was spitting into a garbage-can because he couldn't swallow, and he was in so much pain he couldn't sleep. We went in the middle of the night (2AM) and although it was dead in there, I waited 5 hours before he came back out. They had ran one test on him (strep throat, which I have had done before and it takes 5 minutes for the results). After that they sent him home with a clinically diagnosed "soar throat". By 9AM that same morning the pain had intensified to the point that I made him go to the Urgent Care facility that diagnosed him properly and gave him medicine that made it go away in a couple days. The doctor told us that it was very serious and if we had waited any longer that surgery would have been necessary.

Over the years there have been too many discouraging experiences and outcomes with at lease three doctors, that I have placed my trust in, to give this facility a recommendation. -On two occasions the doctors diagnoses turned out to be incorrect once a second option was sought. -Drug orders were not placed by the doctor. He forgot. -Final diagnosis was a long time coming...allowing condition to worsen. The doctor stated that a second opinion was not necessary. Outrageous. -On one occasion, what should have been a rather uncomplicated surgical biopsy sent me to intensive care for three plus days. Be careful and ask lots of questions. Do your research.
