We had to stop using Masonic due to the fact that in the PICU I walked in and he was covered in poop from his hands to his feet- he had a tracheotomy and there was poop on the gauze. Then a few days later, my son ended up with a huge burn looking sore under his armpit, due to the fact his skin wasn’t being assessed under his blood pressure cuff. It was left on for several days, I should have never assumed they were taking it off and looking got the skin underneath. As well as the fact braces seem to be an annoyance for the nurses, he came home with a huge red spot underneath his helmet because his skin wasn’t being assessed like I instructed several times. We also had a resident tell my pediatrician there was no hope for my son, completely inappropriate wording. As well as when we would call pretty far into a nurses shift they would say they haven’t really been in the room. Being a mom of two I couldn’t stay 24.7 and it killed me. To know my son was hardly being watched- breaks my heart. Clearly; I was very unimpressed with our last stays at masonic.

Could not have had a better experience with my 2 year old getting stitches yesterday. Nurses and the care specialist really took the extra time to ensure that my child had the most peaceful experience possible. Highly recommended!
