Went in with severe pain in my left back flank side that came to the left front. After blood work, he said it was my stomach and gave me meds for stomach. I insisted NO IT IS NOT MY STOMACH> Blood work showed high sugar and infection somewhere. He did NOT catch a severe kidney infection. duh.... high sugar and pain in the back????? When I got back to Dallas, my doctor caught it right away. Because it had gone so long, got a bladder infection and had to go onto antibiotics...CIPRO... allergic-then put on Bactrim - WAY allergic-broke out in hives. 6 weeks later, still on meds for the hives. NOT impressed, but was desperate. and he charged me $2000 for HIS bill.

I only clicked one star because it wouldn't let me not post any stars. This place is a joke!! HORRIBLE hospital with the most RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL staff I've ever encountered, especially a so called "Doctor" Bird...I think "Big Bird" on Sesame Street has more sense than this quack. He is extremely rude with how he addresses situations and I am not someone to take to rudeness very lightly, so I hope this gets passed along to him as well as the rest of the staff there. They also sent home my discharge papers with someone else in the ER and thanks to these complete strangers finding me on FB and telling me, I was able to sue for a major HIPAA Violation and received my settlement in June of 2016...so, please, keep on screwing up Teche ER cause I will keep winning in the end!

We were treated extremely well. My husband is a VET and the Emergency room staff were fantastic and took great care of him. Everyone at Tech Regional were great and provided the best care. We left very happy. Thank you .

this hospital seriously needs to be shut down!! my girlfriend went in for sickle cell and they told her it was gastritis.When a sickle cell disease person goes to the emergency room they are suppose to get IV Fluids and Oxygen. My girlfriend went in crying in pain and left crying in pain when she mention that she was still in pain to the nurse multiple times she finally came in with discharged papers. The fact that the doctor and nurse stood there and laughed about her Sickle Cell is disgusting. They are just horrible the nurses and doctors stand around laughing. I wouldn't recommend this hospital to anyone. The fact that there is one doctor on call for about nine people is RIDICULOUS!! Maybe its time to stop writing reviews and start showing them action. They act like they racist towards blacks and any other color that isnt white. This hospital doesnt deserve a one star... My girlfriend and I should look into talking to a lawyer about this hospital... My real rate for this hospital is negative -120...

Good morning My name is Ashley Mayfield (Evans) and I was a recent ob/gyn patient here on last Thursday, October 12, 2017. I would like to start with my husband, my mom and I and our close family members by thanking my Dr., Dr. St Martin, as well as the ENTIRE surgical staff on that particular evening. After completing their shifts for that day and returning promptly after our arrival we could not tell whether they were tired because of the super successful high risk c section surgery they performed! As well as allowing my mom AND my husband into the surgical room! We also commend the nursing staff on the 4th floor during our 2 day stay with their compassion and excellent bedside manner and care. Specifically; Doelissa and Mrs. Felecia in the nursery for their info and patience with me and my newborn's breastfeeding instructions and Jackie, Monica, Brianne and any nurse I forgot to mention. Also to the manager on duty from behavioral health who allowed my aunts, Tasha and Tanya, to visit me prior to surgery. We arrived at 7pm and had a handsome, healthy baby boy by 8:42pm. My overall visit is definitely rated a high 10 on this day!!! Thanks again from the Mayfield (Evans) Family Teche Regional!!!

Horrible place. Staff is rude. No compassion, unprofessional healthcare staff. They care not to see about you. Your health is not a priority. I wouldn't bring no one here or myself not even for a earache. Go to Thibodaux...Houma.....or Franklin. Skip over this place

The only reason I have this place one star is because it's the only way you can give a review but Dr Scott domingue is a joke I came in and had a 8 in nail stuck in my leg and he wanted to send me home with altram I said it doesn't help then Tylenol 3 was the most they would give me for pain . I had back surgery and have a high tolerance but he refused to give me anything stronger than Tylenol sad excuse for a doctor that cares . Maybe he might make a good vet for animals bout I doubt it

I had my gallbladder out on 5/4 And today, had my colonoscopy and endoscopy, also, had a sebaceous cyst on my back removed. I can't say enough positive things about the 5th floor OUTPATIENT nursing staff as well as operating room Dr's! Wonderful wonderful wonderful! Shelia, Kelly, Amanda, and the team of Dr's are top notch in my book! Thank you for such wonderful care!

As soon as I go in staff was talking about other patients in front of me. Had severe pain one week after IUD including sweating, shaking, seeing stars and all of a sudden heavy bleeding, they told me it was "normal" and to go see my gyno. Gyno wasn't in which is why I went to them in the first place. Looked at strings of IUD and said it was fine. No ultrasound or anything. Doctors act like you're lying and just tell you to take pain meds. Thanks Teche, not like the IUD can perforated your uterus or anything. The strings would tell you that, right?

Went in for an absess pain , looked at me like I was crazy / or a pill head beging for drugs . Sat there for 10 mins ( there were freaking ants in the room I was in !!!) gave me antibiotics told me It was just a cracked tooth . There was no absess to them ... (they didnt even look) Didn't care to give me any pain med. told me to take ibprophen .( Im pregnant cant even have that and they knew i was pregnant ) . Was extremely rude. Heard staff laughing about how I was crying over tooth pain . You are better off driving an hr away .... this place needs to be shut down .

We got here at 9:40pm after my boyfriend sliced his fingers open on a garage door. He bled for 30 mins at home before I brought him here. It's now 10:52pm and no one has come to stop the bleeding. I'm a nursing student and know how to treat these type of cuts. This doctor acted like I was incompetent and didn't know how to stop bleeding. I'm literally so heated

Just had the worst experience at the hospital just because my kids where laughing and talking (my kids ages are 2 and 4) by a really rude security. I understand that they are other people on the rooms but my kids where not miss behaving. I told him that kids are kids I could not make them not talk nor laugh nor move around. What really bothered me the most is the way he said it and his tone. Because I am not a person who likes to be disrespectful the whole time I was talking to him in a nice way but he just kept going louder.

Went there because I started cramping and bleeding while I was 11 weeks pregnant not even from Louisiana just happened to visit, nurses didn't even know how to use a Doppler, the doctor came in one time and just asked questions and never came back so they sent me to get an ultrasound done and the radiologists told me that the doctor himself told him I basically had a miscarriage but yet I never got told anything and my baby was fine but the radiologists didn't wanna tell me wat was really wrong he gave me a disc to give to my doctor which was okay at that point I'm just trying to get back home to texas. So I got my bills (3 of them) the first 2 weren't bad but the 3rd one was 5,000 and something dollars!!! Uhhh for wat exactly??? I know no ultrasound costs that much! No blood tests no urine tests so wat are they charging me for? Pads? And I try to call and get put on hold for the longest! Ughh I would give no stars. Btw I found out wat it was and it's called a subchorionic hemorrhage and it's gone and my baby's fine currently 4 months now so jokes on you doc.

Every time u step foot in there ER they assume your a dope head wanting pills ......it's funny how u can have pain thats a 1 and they give u Tylenol with codeine and when your pain is a 10 they give u the exact same thing .....my wife sat in the ER bed for hours then a doctor stumbled in saying " o you ok .....no buddy she's not but just his luck he did everything possible to pass time because his shift end was almost over .......me and my wife have been residents of Morgan City since birth we watched all kinds of old things turn to new .....and I'm sure everyone in Morgan City would agree that it's time for a new hospital .....demo deathwood and start fresh or this hospital is gonna stay with 2 stars and never get better

Hands down, Teche Regional is my most favorite place of employment! I get to be a part of an amazing team that grows together every day! My family has also received some of the best patient care with the birth of our first child and visit in the Emergency Department. I recommend Teche Regional to any patient looking for healthcare or any person looking for a career!

Teche Regional, aka House Of Horrors. From the unfriendly receptionists who must be ex-government workers, to visiting physicians who are in town one day out of the week, this place should be more concerned about how up to date it's own malpractice insurance is than yours. Since the old Lakewood days this place has been the laughing stock of medicine, famously known for having one of the worst medical staff in the country. I'm not just making this up or being angry, you really need to go to another hospital if possible. Get a taste of the Third World, try Teche!

Had to give it one star cause it wouldn’t let me put less.. this is by far the sorriest excuse of a medical staff I have ever seen beyond unprofessional! They listened to none of my concerns whatsoever the staff was so busy cutting up and screaming profanities down the hallway they didn’t even bother to try to settle down the Baby that was screaming for 3 hours straight or help the woman that was violently throwing up in the bathroom for half an hour.. not to mention for myself went in because i have had pains in my right mid abdomen and back radiating into my chest and all they did was urine and blood sample and sent me on my way usually those are signs of appendix issues! On my paper work they explained their diagnosis as easy to read and sent me on my way with a few muscle relaxers and naproxen if they would have dug into my medical records they would have seen I can’t take anything with acetaminophen Because I have liver enzyme issues and that causes my levels to rise! I am severely disappointed in their lack of education manners and care for their patients not just myself! The e.r needs to be either shut down or everyone needs to be fired and bring in an entire new staff!

My husband Mark a Domingue went there for a bad knee injury all they did was take a x ray put him in a knee brace and gave him crutches and said you need to see a orthopedic surgeon come to find out his injury needed emergency surgery it should have been done that day luckily I had enough sense to go some were else "OUR LADY OF THE LAKE IN BATON ROUGE "THEY DID EMERGENCY SURGERY AND HOPEFULLY HE WILL BE ABLE TO HAVE USE OF HIS LEG AGAIN DO NOT GO TO TECHE REGIONAL MEDICAL. HOSPITAL EVER IF YOU DON'T DIE THERE THEY MIGHT KILL YOU!!!!!

I've never been to an ER like this place before. When you arrive and it's not busy....they place you in a room and don't come back for over an hour...while you are waiting you hear the staff talking and laughing at the desk and discussing personal problems. If there was another hospital closer I would definitely never come back or then again maybe the ride is worth it....HELLO....get a clue...you get paid because of our business....and yes I pay for my insurance!!!!!!! I clicked 1 star because it wouldn't let me post with zero stars!!!!

I sat for over 3 hours before I even got into a room. I had a large hot red lump on my left calf which was incredibly painful. Having already experiencing a DVT in that leg which resulted in a pulmonary embolism I was extremely anxious. After HOURS of sitting I could barely extend my leg to walk to the back when FINALLY they called my name. The Dr. prescribed antibiotics and told me he was giving me 800 mg of ibuprophen and ultram for the intense pain. I picked up my meds and the 2 prescription for pain were missing. I called the E.R. and was told I would have to come back and pay for another visit if I wanted that medicine. They refused to contact the attending physician to verify their mistake. They acted like I was a drug addict trying to score. Seriously .....for ibuprophen and ultram????? My husband is offshore and I guess I will ring in the New Year sitting here hurting to the degree I can't get to the restroom. I WILL NEVER GO TO THAT PLACE AGAIN.

Do not like going to this hospital. Years ago I went here for a car accident I wound up having a fractured rib which they didnt find they told me I could go to work now today I go to see them thinking I'm pregnant cause I know my body which I still do believe I am. But the urine test comes back negative. I dont even get to see a doctor all I saw was nurses or nurse practitioner I even asked them to do blood work to see if I'm pregnant. All she kept saying was I'm not. Ugh worst place ever to go to

It was awesome that my grandbaby was born but the air condition was terrible. My daughter in law laid in the labor room #444 sweating because it was so hot. Finally I went to the front desk and asked if someone talked to maintenance concerning the air and they said no, OMG!!!

On October 12, 2017 @ 6:30 p.m. all the way untill the birth of my son at 8: 42 p.m., I had the most wonderful staff joining the infamous Dr. St.Martin as my wife and I experienced a very high risk pregnancy. Dr. St.Martin is one of thr best doctors in the medical field. This is not opinion..this is facts. The staff that assisted us on our two day stay were amazing as follows: [DR. ST. MARTIN and company]- Doelissa, Ms. Felecia, Jackie, Monica, and Brianne. These people will definitely turn Teche Regional around and make this hospital great. People like Ms. Patty have work to do pertaining to people skills, with all that negative energy she transmitted. It seemed to me our color was a problem to her but its ok because i thank you anyway for you subtle efforts to make a paycheck. As for the rest of the wonderful Dr. St.Martin team and Dr. St.Martin.....you guy will bring teche great respect. Thanks! God speed. MICHAEL MAYFIELD JR.

I took my 5 month old in for a UTI. I knew it was a UTI because she use to get them all the time. They stuck her 8 times before getting the IV in and then took blood from another source! They kept doing test on her until I told them Id sue if they did anymore test. UTI came back positive and they wanted to do a spinal tap on a 5 month old! Of course I told them no! We leave, they forgot to call in the prescription. The nurse calls me a few days later and told me that a nurse contaminated the blood and they were unable to find the source of the UTI. We then received two bills for over $6600 and $700 they will never get paid because they did absolutely nothing but hurt/endanger my poor baby! Worthless hospital and all of staff for that matter!!! Please don’t put yourself or kids under this hospitals care you will regret it!!!

In January my daughter fell off hoverboard and broke her arm. We were triage, xrayed and placed in room quickly. Dr Bourg was her doctor and he was great with her. Everyone who helped in her care was great which made my daughter feel less scared. I highly recommend Teche!!

Only if you're crazy I was rushed here twice by Acadian Ambulance on 03/25/16 and 03/26/16 with severe back pain after being told by the ER staff that it was just Sciatic my L3, L4, and L5 discs blew out on my Cauda Equina nerve causing me to lose control of my bladder and uncontrollable pee on myself and lose control of my lower half of my body and being told there wasn't nothing wrong I argued with them to do test at which time they kicked me out the ER without running any test I was unsatisfied and I had my lady take me to Baton Rouge we went to Baton Rouge Orthopedics Emergency After Hours and told them what was going on and the PA called the doctor and they said it sounded like I was suffering from Cauda Equina Syndrome and needed Emergency Surgery and I was sent to Lady of The Lake and I underwent an emergency Laminectomy, Decompression, and a 4 Level Fusion S1-L3 and have been in a wheelchair since the day of the surgery 03/26/16 so in other words stay away from this Mickey Mouse Hospital I know why the locals call it "Deadwood"

ASK LOTS OF QUESTIONS, ESPECIALLY ABOUT BILLING!! I just received a bill from an imaging center for the reading of my mammogram. First bill I received after having my mammogram done here 3 separate times, for wellness visits. They sent my results off to be read to an out-of-network facility. Had no clue that this happens. Supposed to be covered 100%. Was actually told by someone in the billing department that they don't have to explain that to the patients. Now I'm appealing with my insurance company and have a list of in-network facilities that the hospital is supposed to accept. At a separate time, when my husband was getting his appendix out, I had my purse hidden in his hospital room to go to the operating waiting room, he was admitted for two days, $140 was stolen out of my purse while he was being operated on. Someone had to go through our stuff to get to my purse. Don't leave your stuff unattended, even if you think it's not seen. I can't believe someone had gone through our clothes and other personal items!

We had to bring our son last night to the emergency room. We were quickly taken back to a room. Everyone worked together as a team. All staff were pleasant & professional. We were there for less than an hour! This is the fastest emergency room visit we have ever experienced. Great job Teche!
