I understand wanting to go paperless, but having the receptionist manually asking and filling out each patient info is extremely time consuming and not necessary

The receptionist/ check in clerk failed to check in for lab work causing to wait nearly an hour until I walked out. When questioned she failed to own up to her mistake. Called Oshsner help line in which representative was not very nice, finally obtained apology from Doctors office whom admitted clerk failed to finalize the re check in. Completely unprofessional operation. I would suggest using Our Lady of the Lake.

Dr. Wheeler-Duke could not have been nicer. But the facility is CLEARLY understaffed with medical support personnel. It took almost two hours for us to be sent on our way after treatment. The first room we were placed in could not be used because of a faulty computer. Finally we were placed in a usable room and we proceeded to wait at least 15 minutes between the times either the nurse or the doctor would come in to see us. After 1.5 hours I went to the nurses station to just get our school excuse and go home, but it was refused and I was told to go back to the treatment room to wait a while longer. I understand that the nurse or MA (it was not clear which she was) wanted to finish up on the phone (assumingly with a patient), but we could not wait any longer. So, my son and I proceeded out to the lobby. I really appreciate the receptionist taking the time to get an excuse for us and sending us on our way.

I love the Ochsner system as a whole. This clinic is an exception to the rule. When we first started using them, we had several great experiences. Kind staff members, quick service, accurate diagnosis. Within the last year, the nurse practitioners we have seen seemed to be in a rush and have horrible bedside manner. Today, while I trying to speak and voice my concerns, the NP followed each of my words with mmhum, mmhum... this came off as what I wanted to say was unimportant. I was then told I would need to make a decision as a adult that if my rash progressed to take a few days off of work. Really? I never would have thought of that! When I asked for testing I was told this was diagnosed based on presentation. I knew this to be standard practice already, but found out there is testing that can be requested. After I was belittled and realized that I wasn't getting a word in edge wise I didn't bother to continue my efforts to find out cost or turn around time of the test. I need to be at work. I want to be there. But in my line of work, a wait and see approach would not be acceptable. I was willing to go the extra mile to find out for sure. Previous visits also left my daughter and I with a wrong diagnosis. We both required further Dr. appointments (not with Ochsner) that left the Dr. puzzled why it was not able to be properly diagnosed the first time just a day before. We have used Ochsner because our primary's are an hour away. We thought this was a great place for treatment of common illnesses and minor injuries, it seems as of now we were mistaken. I walked out of my appointment today, I've had enough. We are done with this Ochsner clinic. I refuse to be rushed, talked over and belittled all for a 50/50 chance I'll need to see another Dr. the next day. Today is another wasted co-pay.

The staff at Oschner Urgent Care in Denham Springs was kind and thorough. Every person I came in contact with was caring and professional! I was in and out quickly and would definitely recommend this facility to others. This was not the first time that my family has seen Catherine David, NP. I am impressed with her bedside manner and the time she spends to assess and explain things to her patients.

First, I would like to say that the doctor, Dr. Wheeler-Duke, is the best; very nice and knowledgeable. But, this low rating is for Ochsner, itself. They are extremely understaffed at this location. The front desk clerks are also rude and do not fully answer questions. Also, the greatest issue with Ochsner is their centralized call center. If you try to return a call to your doctor, FORGET IT. Wanna talk to your doctor, FORGET IT. Want to find out results of a test, FORGET IT. Their communication system is horrendous.

Great local location for O.B.G.Y.N..I absolutely love Mrs.Bethanie but not very fond that it shares a building with the emergency care...being that I'm pregnant maybe I'm a little too paranoid around sick people,but I would hate to catch a cold at 32 weeks pregnant.

Wow! This place is SO nice, and the staff was so sweet, friendly, and competent. My son started showing signs of flu (fever, coughing, sore throat) when he woke up for school two days ago, so because of concerns about the severity of this year's outbreak, i had my fiance bring him in to the urgent care up the road while I went to work. They didn't swab him, said he wasn't showing any signs of illness, and sent him away with a one day doctor's excuse. I was upset (still am), and his symptoms started worsening that night. So yesterday I brought him to this urgent care and they immediately swabbed him. His test started showing positive before the test line was even finished. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars was because it was a pretty long visit considering how slow it was in there (2 hours and only 2 other patients in there), and the nurse was kind of abrupt, but everyone else more than made up for that brief interaction. My concerns were immediately taken seriously and addressed, and they were apologetic about the wait time. I will DEFINITELY be going back here and have already started recommending it to people. It's awesome.

We brought my son in on a Saturday morning and was seen immediately. Faith at the front desk was so sweet and helpful. Lacey was our nurse and she was so kind to my scared little boy. Coleatha Fowler just put the icing on the cake. She had him laughing and playing by the time we left. She explained every little thing to him as she went and gave him good instructions for at home care. They all really cared about him being comfortable. I would absolutely recommend them! Plus the office and bathroom were very clean!

I went in for a well-care visit. My GP is the best! I also had bloodwork, x-rays and an ultrasound completed. From the staff checking me in to the nurses to the techs, all were very friendly and made me feel well taken care of.

The NP that treated me was very thorough - very knowledgeable. Explained her diagnosis very well. Made arrangements for me to go to the ER since I needed further testing that couldn't be done at that facility. Without consulting me - she went to the the waiting room while I was getting dressed and explained to my son how we needed to move forward - evidently she cared enough to let my son know I should go to ER with out delay! I liked that

As with any professional service which includes PhD's of any type you need to do your research before using there services. Our experience was not so good in that the Doctor that did the exam missed the mark completely. It wasn't until we visited our primary care provider the next day that the pain was remedied. Let's say, "Take to Aspirins and Visit your primary care practitioner" before you spend money on a guess. As I said, read their bios, listen to their introduction and read their training and resume before visiting. This goes for any professional, always check to make sure they are truly the professionals (Doctors) you need to see for what you need. In our case, lots of money for basically nothing. To bad, they were located so close to home. I gave 2 stars only because I have seen 1 star doctors in my life.
