My 10 year old son and I went in on a Friday night and we were actually in and out in less than an hour. Diana and Dr.B helped us and both were very pleasant and informative. I didn't get the name of the receptionist, but she made our experience great, too. Thank you guys so much for making the process smooth for us!

To be honest this so called er doesn't even deserve the star that it's getting I thought great Hospital closer that I can go to I have Crohn's disease and at times I do have a flare up last night was one of them haven't had one in quite some time just pretty sure at the time I had a bowel obstruction I'm in the medical field I'm a medical assistant so I kind of have an idea what's going on with my body when I got there I let them know that I was having severe cramping and that I'd had not had a bowel movement in over a week and that I was bleeding from my rectum they came in told me I could leave my shirt and bra on which is very unusual they gave me an IV after I even told them I'm allergic to prednisone that they would have to give me Benadryl they pushed the prednisone and then gave the Benadryl they took me down for x-rays which I have never had for this problem always had a CAT scan or an MRI told me that it didn't seem there was anything wrong I was laying on my side because it hurt to lay on my back the doctor came in and barely even touched my stomach not even enough for me to barely feel it gave me Bentyl as a prescription and sent me on my way there are more inclined to sit out at the nurses station to chit chat mind you I did have to end up taking my bra and my shirt off any x-ray anyway like I knew I would but I just went along with it after he'd already taken a picture when he could clearly see I still had my clothing on I got nothing for pain I left in the same shape that I was in when I got there I went home try to tough it out and ended up going back to a hospital that has a real ER and I was right from the beginning so glad I didn't take there word as to what was wrong I also was told that exercising can prevent Crohns and it can make it go away now I would really like to know where this Dr at the Integris on Council came up with that as well would my sister who has crohns as well and my gi Dr there isn't a cure for crohns and anyone with crohns wouldn't wish this on anyone but we make the best of what we can do and Doctors and ERs that don't seem to even think or care shouldn't be in the file there in and I can say any Doctor or Nurse or MA CNA will tell you the same thing so I'm anemic what is severely high white blood cell count also a nice big red cherry rash on my face from the prednisone that was given to me and there should have been Benadryl pushed before and after the prednisone and I had to go somewhere else to find out all of this information because according to them I was fine and there is an obstruction and the bleeding is from the lesions that are caused from the Crohn's I had my medical rec all on my phone for them to look at and read but they seemed to not even care to I will never go there or recommend them to anyone I will drive the 30 min to the hospital that is way better may have to wait longer but at least the know what the hell there doing

I have nothing but good things to say about Woman's. I just had my baby, which was 4 weeks early, and every nurse and doctor treated me with the utmost care and importance. The entire process, from checking in to being discharged, was positive. EVERY question or concern I had was answered. The nursing staff at this hospital is EXCEPTIONAL and I wouldn't have chosen another hospital to have my baby be delivered at! Awesome, AWESOME job Woman's!!!

I've been going there for my first pregnancy with twins. My regular doctor and MFM specialist are great. I had fetal surgery, and Dr. Moore and his team did a really good job. As scared as I was, their comfort helped me feel safe. The nurses that took care of me that night were very nice! The problem I have is with some ultrasound techs. I just happen to be someone who is sensitive to touch. I have a couple techs who are my favorites bc they're nice, caring, and gentle with me, but there are a few who push too hard on my belly and when I mention that it hurts, they don't care and usually don't lighten up. The one lady in the MFM office pushed harder when I told her I was uncomfortable! I'm not tolerating it anymore. It's not worth the pain. Someone needs to address this issue. They need to remember that everyone is different and on different pain tolerance levels. I was going to give this place 3 stars but then I remembered how tasty the food I had there was so I bumped it up to 4 :D

I was feeling suicidal and my mom bought me here because our insurance company recommended it. Worst decision ever. These people are extremely unprofessional. We waited at least 4 hours for the doctor to come and he didn't give any help whatsoever and forced me to stay for 2 days and miss school when I don't need to. I am so angry with these stupid people who have no idea what they are doing but pretend to.

Scared my family into being induced. Marines DO NOT GO HERE!!! Go to Oschner worse case. AND FORGET about the birth center.... Think about it....... look how close it is to the hospital......Its one of thing to be close should something happen but ...to close for well you do the MATH..... hmmmmm. First of all I went to this hospital because my wife's doctor was affiliated here. The first time I went there for the delivery it was on a Friday and she was already dilated 5cm everyone kept on saying they didn't have enough room and beds to attend her. Later that day she was told to go home because there was no sign of giving birth or further contractions. As we call our doctor and we were advised my wife should have not be sent home on her case. After we find out this then we went to another hospital and our doctor kept on insisting her to go there. I would say the attention we received was unacceptable. The second time we went there it was on Saturday night because our doctor told us to go there again and because my wife wanted to feel confident with her doctor we went again. This time the doctor told the staff what happened previously and the attention was a little better. Facility wise is an old hospital and house keeping does not do a good job at cleaning this place specially in the maternity and labor area. Please see the pictures I posted as I found a dirty wall cover in dust and a sink which was completely nasty and it looked like it was never clean. Both of those in the labor area. Unless you don't have an option stay away from this hospital.

Horrible customer service, you will get no response from nurses/doctors in emergency. I had fractured elbow went to ER and after four hours was sent home with pain killer mortin. Obviously I was not satisfied and went to booth memorial hospital ER. And was seen by othopedic surgeon with in 30 minuets. I had an IV my pain is gone and scheduled for surgery. If you are in pain like I was please don’t go to flushing hospital!

I went to the emergency room at 3:45pm because I felt dizzy and lack of oxygen and chest pain and they make me wait for six hours. At 10 pm I asked why I was waiting for so long and the nurse who was in charge of calling the patients, told me that they have patients with worst conditions than mine. I left the hospital at 10:30pm and they never called my name

The nurses were okay wasnt to fund of them much. My most complaint id that I went into labor 2days before going to assessment center when i did i was not in pain at all with my contractions, my original dr wasnt on call but the the other dr was so he came and i told the nurse i wanted a all natural birth as possible but the dr came in to check how far dialted i was and without telling or asking he broke my water and hooked me up to more IV's which made me later on get an epidural which i didnt want to but i started having extreme contractions i couldnt handle...a first time mom didnt know what he was doing tell it was already to late and my mother was there but turned around so i could have privacy but stayed in the room with me so she couldn't stop him in time when she turned back around.

I love this hospital very organized and staff are very friendly and professional.Before visiting this hospital I went to Elmhurst hospital emergency room and after waiting for four hours .I was still not seen by a doctor they claimed it was only one Doctor ...Either way I was so disappointed and in pain from a car accident I had .I couldn’t believe How I was in the emergency room yet was treated like if it wasn’t an emergency. I remembered flushing hospital it’s a bit further from my way which is why I chose Elmhurst hospital because I was I so much pain ...anyway I took another Uber to flushing Hospital because I remember how fast it was when I was last admitted...As soon as I arrived to the emergency room ..I was taken care for in less then an Hour I already was seen by a doctor and took X-rays... personally this hospital has yet to fail me ..I love it and will never cheat again regardless the distance ..

The new location is at: 100 Woman's Way Baton Rouge, LA 70817 I really miss the old location. I felt like it was centrally located in Baton Rouge making it very easy to get to from anywhere in the city. In its current location, if you have an appointment in the late afternoon, be prepared for heavy traffic. The new place is very nice through and will be the location of the birth of my first grandchild.

The hospital is great, nice staff , clean place. My only complaint would be the Cc's coffee shop , the lady working on March 7 2016 at 4:23pm was so rude!! Clearly she hates her job, rudeness to the max , I went to buy me a latte after a long night of standing next to my sister who just had a baby. She raised her voice at me for no reason, took my order treating me like I was asking for free coffee. I'm a bartender and yes I understand that some customers may be hard to deal with but I was very nice to her, softly ordered my coffee but she really killed my vibe!! #grosscoffee #rudeness #badcustomerservice

I took my 1 year old son who was vomiting all day and with 103 fever all day. The hospital put my son to wait for 2 hours before anybody saw him. No one took his temperature and when the hospital gave him a space in a room the room had blood in the floor and the bed not made hygiene of the room was the worst. The nurse was trying to force my wife to take the temperature and give my son the medication with out helping her, that night my wife was the nurse that night. Please avoid this hospital at all cost.

This hospital felt like home to me.Friendly atmosphere,Doctors and nurses here are so caring and helpful. I was brought to this hospital a week ago as I was suffering from severe pain in my lower abdomen.Then after the results of CT scan The Doctors from Dr. Rajinder S.Malhotra's team took a quick decision and did not let me go home as I was suffering from appendicitis....Soon the appendix was removed after the treatment of inflamation around it.The staff treated me really well.The nurses are very helpful and are just one call away.Specially Karriza, Raniyal, Victoria, Anu and Margeret were so kind and caring. Special thanks to Dr. Rajinder Malhotra and his entire team for putting so much effort during my treatment.

They didn't even find or fix my problem. I told them it's almost impossible to get a IV in me. They stabbed me over and over n over for 6 hours, they told me I needed IV fluids n antibiotics. They put me in so much more pain , then just sent me home with cough medicine, and gave up. That was stupid and very wrong,. They are quacks. Be prepared to be tortured!!!!

I am here now. Nursing care is the poorest! Following my surgery, I am only allowed 1-1/2 teaspoon of water or combination of ice / water per hour. I call early so I can receive it timely, it arrives 20 minutes late. The nurse laughs, indicating she forgot, that I should call her on the exact time it is due. I do that, it arrives late. Comfort and care is not priority here. Bathroom breaks are not timely either. Nurse Bridgettette is a zero! I only wish I knew the names of the ones that preceeded her on shift. I cannot wait to leave thisvery poorly run hospital! I post this at 2:35 am because I am parched and cannot sleep! Only if I had opportunity to show them the same care! Lisa Primeaux

They first confirmed that I was a relative authorized by my brother to obtain the information. The staff was friendly, from nurses and doctors. Good hospital…nurses were great except for this nurse who snapped at me in the labor delivery room…my wife was 10cm dilated and the third time I called her she came in and got nasty. My wife in labor had to shut both of us up!! from then the gyn/ who delivered our baby to the the nurses assistant were great. BiBi (nurses assistant) went out of her way and even bought me an extra meal. She had such a motherly personality. I'll def recommend this hospital...

Idiot EMT Bennet came to my house while my mother was suffering from delirium from a UTI. EMT Bennet said that my mother was exhibiting symptoms of dementia (it ends there, she needs to go to the ER) but she is rational and alert. HUH? My mother went on to have seriously worse symptoms that became violent. this went on for three more days. Do not let this idiot. EMT Bennet into your home.

Wow! I am so impressed with the care and treatment of my adult daughter at The Woman's Hospital Assessment Center. Whether she was in early labor or it was a false alarm remains to be seen and we should know this morning... However, our nurse, Amy and Dr. Alfred were extremely kind, comforting and caring. And let me not forget the rest of the staff; from the time we walked through the door, the girls checking in wore beautiful smiles on their faces and checked us in quickly. In fact, before I had time to pull around and park, they already had her back in the triage area. Everyone was professional from the beginning to the end. I can not say enough about how sweet and comforting Dr. Alfred and Amy were!! The 2 as a team were absolutely incredible!! THANK YOU DR. ALFRED & AMY!! The employees, especially security guards are heartless, sad souls who NEVER tip the people that bring them food... What's more is they expect you to be there almost instantly with said food! Considering most of them hardly get off their butts all day and act like they're guarding Fort Knox, we find them to be a joke and go out of our way to make sure their orders are late! Oughta call it RATCHET hospital!

On Tuesday, October 1st I had a mammogram. Their department was quick but very efficient. I then had an my annual appointment with Dr. James Stenhouse. I have seen Dr. Stenhouse for over 30 years. His bedside manner is top notch. He also addresses any and all questions and concerns in patient terminology. I checked in early for my doctors appointment and was called back within 5 minutes. I wasn’t feeling well and just wanted to move the process along quickly. I waited longer than 30 minutes in the patient room. Dr. Stenhouse is worth the wait but this happens each time I have an appointment. I know he gives each patient and appointment his time and knowledge but I wish when an appointment was set that he and his staff could stay on schedule. I just gave birth to my son here on November 7. I was scheduled to arrive/be induced Nov. 7 at 3:30am. My pitocin was started at exactly 4:30. My two nurses during my delivery were incredible. Once in the recovery room, nurses are suppose to check on you every 2 hours for any pain, vitals, etc. They definitely are on schedule. Every nurse that I had the 2 days I spent there were amazing. Very attentive, kind, and informative. They were a lot of help with baby the first night due to me not being able to get out of bed and baby was having some congestion issues. They are also very on schedule with all of baby’s tests. We were discharged almost exactly 48 hours after my son was born. He was born Nov. 7 2:36pm and we were signing discharge papers Nov. 9 at 2:38pm. I can’t recommend Woman’s enough.

My wife went here for her delivery with appointment yet she was asked “Why are you here?” Even after explaining that we have an appointment that our doctor set it up for us. They made us wait for hours. I dont even wanna rate them 1 star. This hospital is a BIG FAT “NO”. I do not recommend you this hospital what so ever even if you’re in a critical situation.

My grandmother fell on the floor in her hospital room once in the early morning hours and called for help but no one came until much later. She bled from her head slightly. But the lack of competence and compassion in this hospital is incomprehensible. Quality of care is terrible.

-I had to repeatedly ask my nurses for things because they kept forgetting- pads/pain medication/ etc. - the nurse that gave my son his first bath didn't even allow the water to get warm and bathed him directly under the VENT with air blowing on him. Not only that, she dressed him in his long sleeved footed pajamas and when I took them off to change him she had left POOP smeared down his leg!!! And this is right after his bath!!! - the nurse asked if I wanted the rubella shot and when I asked her what it was for she said "chicken pox" when I told her I already had them she told me that I had lost immunity to them so I could get them again if I didn't get the shot but even if I got the shot there was a chance I would lose immunity again so really it was just up to me to take that chance. - when I first asked about all of my charges I was told I would only have to pay my deductible so I started making monthly payments on it. They posted one of my 100$ payments on the WRONG account and tried charging me for it TWO times after I had already paid it. - come to find out I also owed a huge delivery fee which I was told about 2 days before my due date that had to be paid before I delivered and that would take care of everything else... so I paid that day IN FULL and got ANOTHER large bill. When I called to inquire about that bill I was told to "ask my insurance about it" so I did.. my insurance company called THE SAME NUMBER I called to ask them THE SAME QUESTION I asked them and supposedly the bill was correct and what I did in fact owe... today I got a check in the mail from the hospital for an amount even larger than the bill they just made me pay. Overall - completely lazy and incompetent. Clearly no one takes their job seriously. I really wanted to love delivery at this hospital but it was a horrible experience.

So bad experience, my daughter had to stay because she had so much pain caused by some bacteria in her stomach and the nurses didn't even take the temperature, didn't even ask if she needs some water or anything like that , I ask to talk to the person in charge and nobody was on charge only an Asian lady who made fun of my 10 year old daughter cause I asked her for baby rash ointment, she wasn't even a nurse , she was a secretary or something like that, my experience was the worse, my daughter had zo bad stomach problems like diarrhea and had pooped on herself and I ask for a clean sheet and nobody gave it to me, is so sad to see how the hospital is doing compared to a few years ago, at the end the doctor on charge send my daughter home with a letter saying that she could go back to school on February 30 when this day doesn't even exist in the calendar.

I am at a loss of words for this facility. I have previously been to Women's Hospital to visit family members and friends and was astounded the great service then. Today, however, was my first time as a patient (for an MRI). The entire staff from Imaging Services was nothing but cordial, quick and informative each step of the way. One staff member took initiative when dealing with referral doctor/insurance issues and resolved the issues quickly while I waited. I've never seen a hospital take such sincere interest in their patients, and to finally have one do so was a treat. Women's Hospital in general (and their Imaging Center in particular) will certainly be my preference for future medical services.

The er part is great just make sure you dont get a obgyn in the lsu section cause the dont answer phones to answer any of your question after 9 a.m and you'll have to be in the office aiting for them to see you for atleast 2 hours for an appointment hat will usually take all of 10 mins if nothing wrong and your just there for a check up.

I'm currently expecting my second child and this will be my first time in the new hospital, so I hope my expectations aren't too high compared to old hospital. I don't think I'll be disappointed. We are fortunate to get a good OB doctor. But today's experience at the injection lab was totally disastrous!!! The black lady was so negligent and gave a casual flu shot to my wife. My wife told me that the lady didn't even look at her arm when giving the shot. It only took a second for the process and a lot of liquid came out immediately. she's still feeling the pain after a half day. If she told me earlier I would immediately look for the supervisor but of course I could imagine no penalty would happen. Nowadays some people are protected and can't be blamed. Better to find in a livable place than complaining.

I had my third baby there and regret it. Worst experience of all. First of all they have some old nurses who are totally burnt out and do not want to do anything. They should be retired and give the chance for younger nurses who actually care. One of those nurses wanted to discharge me and just get rid of me. I had a c section which meant getting a prescription for OxyContin to control the sever pain. The day of discharge the nurse tells me they are prescribing iboprofine because OxyContin is not covered by insurance. I refused to sign the discharge without getting the proper pain killer since iboprofine is WORTHLESS with the c section pain. The nurses got angry and actually banged the food table with her fist because I refused to leave without a better pain killer. It turns out that my insurance actually covers OxyContin but no one bothered to check in the first place. Not the intern doctor nor the nurse cared to check with insurance and decided to give me iboprofine because they don't want to bother doing their jobs. The nursery wanted to get rid of my baby, I believe they were short staffed or something. I was having extreme pain that I couldn't get out of bed to carry my baby so I demanded them to take the baby over night. The next thing I find them still bringing the baby to my room claiming that he throws up a lot because of the formula. MThe doctors and nurses DO NOT COMMUNICATE at all. One doctor comes in having me sign a form to have my baby circumcised and no one did anything. When asked the nurse the following day why no one picked my son they claimed they know nothing of the form and the doctor never told the. They reached the point of rudeness that they claim that I got mixed up and never signed any forms at all. It was really insulting to insinuate that I am stupid and unaware of what forms I am signing! Also, this hospital is not breastfeeding Pro. When I first got out of the C section I told them I want to breast feed the baby before the epidural effect wears off and pain comes kicking. Of course no one brought the baby and they fed him formula and they said they weren't told of my desire. AGAIN NO COMMUNICATION BETWEEN THE STAFF MEMBERS. Also, The room is the worst ever. It is too small for two patients to stay in. The design is really bad. The bath room is located in the side where the other patient is. So for me to go to the bathroom I had to ask the ladies' husband, who is staying there with his wife all day and night, to get out of the room because his chair is literally blocking the door of the bathroom. Totally uncomfortable, inconvenient, embarrassing and uncalled for especially for someone who just got out of C section and can't walk from the pain! The bathroom itself doesn't have a single shelf to put my stuff on. So I am bleeding and holding me change of cloth and simply has to either leave them on the bathroom floor which is disgusting or keep holding them under my chin until I go. 99% of the time the change of cloth and pads I am holding end up falling in the toilet or the floor and end up getting a replacement. For me to wash my hand, by all means I had to invade my roommate's privacy because the sink is in her part of the room. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE STAY. Moreover, the male doctors there have absolutely no respect for privacy. They should understand that women who just got birth and are breastfeeding are of course not usually well covered. So decency requthat male doctors or nurses knock and wait for a response? Right? Nope, wrong. They knock and just burst in without waiting for a response as if it's normal to see women indecent. Pure rude and unprofessional attitude from everyone. Even during the C section it self I felt this touch of rudeness. The patient should be covered at all times until they start the operation especially that the epidural makes the woman numb and unaware of here own settings. What I felt that day is carelessness and unprofessionalism when it comes to the patient's modesty and privacy. Made me totally uncomfortable with the whole procedure. NEVER AGAIN!

My son was born in this hospital as my gynocologist was affliated with this hospital. My experience with the flushing hospital was disappointing. Starting from the baby sonogram nurses to the recovery room. The sonogram nurses were VERY unfriendly. They seem to be bothered by questions you ask and always rush you out. The recovery room was tiny and you have to share with another mother. The reason why I gave two stars is Dr. Wang who delivered my son was great. She took good care of us while we were there. But I would not go back for any future baby deliveries.

This is the absolute WORST care I've ever recieved while pregnant. No one knows how to properly enter in an order. Hospital and doctor's are not really questionable. But the nurses. More pinpoint to labor and delivery department. Not all, but most of the Nurses are pretty clumsy and nasty attitude. Specially after delivery. If you have caesarean (C section) and you have to stay at the hospital, don't expect any help from nurses ( specially night shift nurses). I remember one latino nurse name Erica, totally rude and scary behavior she will give you night mare. I already reported to the hospital. I had two labor experience at this hospital. Worst hospital in flushing area. They only used one machine to treat and just took a long time. You can hear the doctors and nurses yelling and shouting and I don't believe they are giving the right treatment. If you have a very simple sickness, they will just check you and send you out. I had a negative experience was with Tamara at triage. You check in with Tamara right when you enter ER. She was rude and laughed in my face when I told her about my severe pain and difficulty breathing due to a bacterial infection and then offered painfully obvious medical advice with contempt ("Well maybe the meds aren't working because it's *viral*"). I wish Tamara just checked in sick patients as fast as possible instead of diminishing their suffering. There is also a lack of organization - all the PAs and nurses (I was seen by three) asked me the exact same questions. I wasn't even seen by a doctor. A nurse gave me my antibiotic injections after a 1.5 hr wait and quickly shuttled me out of the hospital.

I went on a Friday morning and got right in. The personnel were courteous and efficient. The doctor immediately diagnosed me and I had two prescriptions within 10 minutes. I'm doing much better now. Much better than sitting in the Yukon Integris emergency room for an hour.

First off I just want to say is you go to the emergency room and you expect to be in and out in less than a couple of hours, well I want some of that crack your smoking. Also this is a hopsital ER not an urgent care, people are seen in order of urgency not first in first out. I was a little apprehensive about going here because of all the bad reviews, forget about it. Don't let any of the ER abusers sway you away. Side note: people if you go to the ER with an ear infection, you are low priority, expect to wait forever. This place was nice, clean, the staff was knowledgeable and professional. In fact it was one of the best ER experiences I've had. Sunday night I was being stupid and ended up needed some stitches. Full tour from in the door to out the door was less than 2 hours. The doc was great, the nurse was awesome, hell even the reception/cashier person's demeanor was impressive. I want to say thanks to all of them, they made a bad situation better. If I'm ever stupid again, I know where I'm going.

Went in last night and was in the waiting room less than 5 mins. Every one of the staff was knowledgeable and very friendly. Having to go to the Er is a stressful thing to a person, and they were wonderful putting me at ease. They took the time to really listen and made sure all basis were covered, and taken care of. Very clean facility. I'm unsure why they have all the bad reviews on here. I saw absolutely nothing to complain about. I mean we all hope we do not have to go see them, but if I do, this is where I'm going from now on.

After 2days, they sedated him without identifying the accurate symptoms. 7days later, my grandfather passed away with sedation! This hospital should never be operated. I can’t THANK YOU enough 5W Labor/Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery Department. Five solid stars !!!! So carrying, professionals, and always there when you need them. I would highly recommend this medical facility. My nurse- Ruth, and OB MD Lucot Cherofante was brilliant they made sure I was fully informed at all times and helped me through labor, they gave me confidence in the process and really did put my mind at ease. Don't expect stellar care here or in the physicians offices. If you're looking for a PCP then you may get lucky, but if you need to see a specialist for anything, then I recommend going to Northwell Health. If you want to leave a physician's office feeling like you've recieved bottom basic care and had none of your concerns and questions addressed or answered, Flushing Hospital is your place. If you want to wait months for an appointment, but then have them cancel it on you, Flushing Hospital is your place... If you like doctors* who make you feel uncomfortable and stressed after your appointment, Flushing Hospital is your place. *Not everyone will have this experience, but no one should have it in the future. I have had great experiences in the past at Flushing Hospital, but there has been quite a change in the last 8 years and I don't think anyone should feel the way I was made to feel.

Everyone is so slow here. Waiting to speak to a doctor for over 3 hours. The nurses take very long too. They bring the compression machine, dump it on the bed but dont put it in the patient until the next day. Horrible care here. Old building patient bathroom sink is outside the bathroom and only a toilet no shower in the room. Patients have to share a bathroom in the hallway. Theres abandoned buildings across the alleyway and theres no air conditioner it's hot in here a breeding ground for germs. Window screens have huge holes in them. Old TVs that dont work. This place should be shut down. UPDATE: this hospital is still a dump! And the doctors are very rude. No compassion or bedside manner at all. They dont even have the decency to look at you. They have the medical students and residents do everything for them. I got 3 different stories from different doctors about what happened to my father. Onky 2 nurses were good the others were rude, too busy, and clumsy. One nurse even dropped the bedside table right on top of my fathers wound just 2 hours after surgery!!! Stay away!!! You will be disappointed. I don't know why they bother with surveys seems like they dont even read them.

Very bad service. My grandma was sick and got admitted to the ER. The nurse took care of her trying to access her IV without cleaning the IV access hub. When ask to please cleaning the IV hub she roll her eye and went got the alcohol wipe than turn around say "sorry only two people can stay here everyone have to leave." All of these women were professional, courteous, kindhearted and warm. I went to Flushing Hospital to deliver my baby and I was so impressed with the whole experience. The entire staff was very helpful, knowledgeable, and respectful of me and did everything they could to give me a safe and easy delivery. My maternity care was also a wonderful experience. All of the nurses and doctors did a great job of preparing me to care for my baby and myself after I left the hospital. As a first time mother they showed me all the signs to look for when my son is hungry or gassy or needing to be changed and I left feeling very prepared. I highly recommend Flushing Hospital to anyone having a baby.

I have fibroid and I am having heavy period last 3 months. I went to Flushing hospital many times. But today's service was very memorable. I had severe pain since this morning. My husband took me to the hospital. As soon as I entered the security guy and nurses ran to me and arranged wheel chair and took me in emergency room. 2 male nurses attended me and the Gyn Dr Katari came and immediately gave me medicine to relieve from pain. Flushing hospital is a small friendly community hospital. Most of the staff are very friendly and compassionate when it comes to caring for their patients. Rooms are cleaned throughout the day, food is always served according to the patient needs, and the top priority is to insure the patient is comfortable, and is taken care off. Yes they have issues sometimes where a patient is not satisfied but that’s at EVERY hospital. They are worse hospitals than Flushing hospitals and bashing one completely because you couldn’t get a extra juice or something is just disgusting

This is where people do not get to live. My grandfather died here and if we had the option to go to a different hospital we would have. The ICU is not a good ICU. There are no rooms only curtains to separate patients. I would not trust the staff. They don’t show sympathy for you. The equipment is very rusty. Please don’t go there. Specially after delivery. If you have caesarean (C section) and you have to stay at the hospital, don't expect any help from nurses ( specially night shift nurses). I remember one latino nurse name Erica, totally rude and scary behavior she will give you night mare. I already reported to the hospital. I had two labor experience at this hospital. Guess what..! both times I was disappointed. So not again. Neither my family and friends.

WORST HOSPITAL YOU CAN HONESTLY EVER GO TO. The process to even call you into the emergency room is a very long time/wait. Meanwhile they had a few beds that we’re empty in the adult emergency. Most of the staff is very rude, and clearly don’t care about there patients. I went into the hospital mainly to get an IV Fluid due to me being very dehydrated and weak. I was not holding down any food nor drinks what’s so ever. Any medication I would take I would throw it back up within 5-10 minutes after taking it. The first room and nurse that seen me when you originally first walk in to the hospital was very nice. Unfortunately I couldn’t catch names due to how much pain I was in. She took my blood pressure, temperature and asked me what was wrong. I told her everything and she automatically told me I was very dehydrated just from what I was telling her. She told me I would need and IV Fluid. I then waited in registration for a few hours until my name was finally called. Once I got into the emergency room my nurse told me her name and then I didn’t see her after that for awhile. Finally asked her when the doctor would come because I honestly felt like I was going to pass out. She kept telling me the doctor would come but I waited a few hours once again. I finally see the doctor, I did tell him I have been throwing up but that’s wasn't my only concern. I told him I didn’t feel nauseous, just I would randomly start throwing up. But once again that wasn’t my main concern. I kept telling him how weak and dehydrated I was. And he kept ignoring that part. So he tells me that he’s going to give me some medication to help with the nausea. However like I said before I haven’t held anything down for about a day and a half. And ANY medication I would take I would throw it right back up. So I told him I didn’t want to start off with a high dosage of medication because I know my body, I was going to throw it right back up. And not for nothing but I’m the one in pain, I don’t want to take medication if it’s not going to help. Cause then I’ll just keep throwing up and be in even more pain. So I then asked him for the fluids because that’s what I really needed. He kept denying me to take fluids. He actually told me “ that I’m too young to be taking them, there for old people”. I told him any hospital I went to, I told them im dehydrated they automatically gave me fluids. But they kept denying me for fluids. I get he wanted to medicate me for throwing up, but if your so dehydrated that your whole body is num and crapping up to the point you can’t move or walk you clearly wouldn’t want to start popping pills. I even told the doctor and nurse if we can either do the fluids first and then take the medication. Or, give me both at the same time, but they were very rude and not understanding. Definitely won’t be back to this hospital ever again!

Im disappointed. I’m not from this part of town and I’ve always said the hospitals here are way better. Everyone is so polite and kind. Actually care about you. But today I went to the assessment center since I was not feeling too well and I am 6 months pregnant. They didn’t even acknowledge ALL my symptoms I told them I had. I felt as though they were more worried about getting me out of there. Or didn’t believe me. Who knows. But i felt so uncomfortable there. One of the nurses was so nonchalant. OLOL nurses are WAY more sweeter and more kind FOR SURE. Especially to pregnant women. I just said I was better and left. Last time I visit the assessment center. Next time, I will just deal with It or go to the regular ER.

We recently moved to the area, in the last month of our pregnancy. We were a scheduled c-section, and I have been so impressed with all of the staff at the Women's Hospital. The doctors were attentive and not rushed. The nurses were caring and always quick to answer questions and take care of the baby and I. Literally everyone was so nice. Great Hospital & Amazing Staff! I was going to this hospitals clinic by orders of my doctor for gestational diabetes control. My baby showed a variable during one of the monitoring visits and my doctor recommended I stayed at hospital for induction as soon as possible for the safety of the baby. I didn't know anything about the hospital itself and started reading online reviews while being admitted and boy can they be deceiving! I was nervous because this hospital only has merely 2.9 stars and can tell you this... Don't be discouraged by the look of an old building and online reviews. THIS HOSPITAL AND ITS STAFF DESERVE 5+ STARS. I work in health care industry as a medical assistant and I can tell you the level of care and compassion you'd expect to receive from doctors and nurses you will definitely experience above and beyond great level of care at Flushing Hospital. I hemorrhaged pretty badly after delivering my baby boy and the doctors took such good care of me and my baby. Doctors are compassionate, attentive, extremely kind and professional, the communication between shifts from doctors and nurses is impressive and the nurses are the best nurses I've had the pleasure of being around in years. Extremely pleasant, patient, helpful, kind and compassionate. Thank you all at Flushing Hospital for the wonderful level of care that you provided during my stay at the hospital I am one immensely grateful patient to you all ❤️

I had to go in for surgery. I was nervous and all the Nurses ,and staff made me feel very Comfortable. My Doctor is awesome. I went to recovery waited for a room but to no avail so I requested to stay in recovery. The best thing I did. If I needed anything they were there. In the morning they helped me get ready to discharge which was the easiest and fastest of anytime. Just so everyone understands this is a Hospital not a Hotel and I am tired of listening to people complaining of everything that is bad in a hospital. Called 911. I almost died tonight. And after I was brought to this hospital. I wasn't given no meds nothing. I was on the bed laying down for ages. Me and my wife just recently moved to Baton Rouge and crazy enough this was the only hospital that would except her but almost every time we go in for something like measuring the baby we always end up waiting on the car at the hospital for two to three hours because they don't allow kids in the hospital. Another thing is you can't even call the hospital because the don't except phone calls until the end of the day all in all some people say this is the best hospital to go to which is extremely sad

People call this hospital a joke. I disagree. They saved my dads life after being given medicine for an infection he didn't even have from another clinic. He had a reaction to the medicine. Was taken by ambulance to the ER and was told he didn't have an infection. Thank you PMH.

I have no qualms of this hospital in fact it holds personal experiences however I can be perfectly frank in stating that the staff move uncoordinatedly and extremely slow, the best scenario is waiting for an hour in pain, the worst is waiting several. The staff are nice when they have to be but do not offer actual aid, they speak but don’t act or do anything else. Nonetheless it does have many options in languages, Korean, Spanish, English, Italian etc. and has parking but paid.

Im 12 weeks pregnant and I went in for my first prenatal visit. It was a poor experience. I felt very rushed. I wasn't able to get any questions heard. My doctor schexinder was a rude individual. He called me 'Kiddo' 3 times , I'm 27. I was in shock. I wasn't able to have any questions heard. It felt like I was on a conveyor belt. The ultrasound was the only genuine part of the experience. The nurse was very nice. Everyhing else felt like I was a pain to their existence. I didn't talk to anyone about what I should be expecting in the next couple weeks. For a first prenatal for my first pregnancy it wasn't a positive experience.

There should be an option of no star. The staff lacks bedside manner. My sister and I work with the mentally undeveloped and have formed real relationships with these individuals being that, that is the human thing to do.. my sister and I were at a particular individual’s bedside who had basically become part of our family. During the entire stay at the ICU, the staff ignored us as if we did not matter.. as if we were just flies on the wall. Even during his passing, one woman gave us just a few minutes to accept the news before she just came in to pull the tube out from his ventilator and she did this in front of us without even letting us know that was what she was going to do. My sister had worked with this individual for years and of course when the nurse just removed the tube without a word it drove my sister crazy and no remorse came from the woman. She pulled it out and left us there in shock. How cruel can you be? Even prior to - they treated him as if he were just a thing to do as opposed to a person, a human being who loves and dreams just like everyone else. Honestly, the staff in the hospital should get some kind of bedside manner training. I would hate to see them function in their regular life - are they equally so numb to human interaction and affection in their day to day lives as well?

the worst hospital ever , came in today into Emergency for urgent treatement for nonstop caughing and asthmatic breathing problem cuz i can barely breath and they put a mask on my face and asked me to wait in the waiting room to be called by a doctor and that was 6pm by a nurse after checking in at the door at 4:45 !! I was at flushing Emergency room during the weekend for my father my father speaks Spanish only and I speak English, before I got there my father had no clue what tests or what they were saying to him since no one in that whole emergency room speaks proper English or can translate. I found it very rude when the nurses spoke in Korean or Chinese Im not sure if it was either one, in the same room as my father but did not have the audacity to even explain anything to us or even get an interpreter. Worst ER . It's like we're living in a Third World country .. Stay far away from this hospital 1 star . My advice hire more Spanish speaking bilingual workers let everyone be comfortable it is 2017 !!

The women on the 3rd flood are RUDE AS HELL & one is a bit racist ( she barley has any hair & a mustache ) anyway when we came to see my nephew in the NICU yesterday the lady raised her voice for me to lean in the window for her to check my temperature just because she didn’t wanna reach her arm at all (mind u I am pregnant & have a hard time leaning over counter top things) then we came by again today & they let 8 people 2 adults & 6 kids UNDER THE AGE RESTRICTIONS but for us the rule was 2 visitors at a time & that rule is suppose to be applied to anyone going in the back of this area PERIOD it doesn’t matter if the babies have different issues or anything that’s THE RULE OF THIS AREA , it’s even posted on the big board by the doors ! I completely see why women’s has now went down hill & why there are so many bad reviews about this place now because women like the ones working the 3rd floor .

I’m black my wife who is pregnant is white, we went there to do a sonogram on feb,21,2019. The person doing the sonagram who is a female of Indian decent refuse to let me into the room while all the other couples were allowed to be with their spouses during the sonagram, my wife and I ask her why and she didn’t have an answer, i ask to speak to the floor supervisor only then was I allowed in, I believe race Played a role in how I was treated. This is a very unorganized dysfunctional hospital, my grandfather was there for a week and not only did they mess up his follow up appointment and gave us a completely wrong date but , the nurses where rude the staff in general where rude and unprofessional. Then they gave the pharmacy his wrong birth date and I had to pay out of pocket for his medication. I just want my grandfather to move to NC with me but he won't leave New York he's been there all his life. I live in North Carolina but born in New York and the hospitals their have always given me and my family exceptional care. If I could give this hospital negative 5 stars, I would in a heartbeat. Because of this hospital and the choices of the "administration", we missed the birth of our daughter. You see, we adopted a baby girl who was born here. Due to hospital protocols, we (the adoptive parents who did absolutely nothing wrong) could not see our baby until discharge. They would not even confirm her birth or that she was even there until her birth mother (who was incarcerated) was discharged. We went as far as to get written permission from the local warden to be present for the birth of our child. But according to the sheriff's department, the hospital supersedes their decisions. I (the adoptive mother) was to be present in the delivery room while my husband (the adoptive father) was permitted to see the baby after she was born. We wanted this time for skin to skin bonding and to actually get to see OUR child. In fact, because of the permission from the warden and the fact that the hospital knew of the adoption plan ahead of time, we spent thousands (on top of the tens of thousands spent on the adoption process itself) to fly halfway across the country over a week prior to her birth to ensure that we didn't miss anything if she was born before her due date. That was completely pointless as we could have flown down on the day of discharge to pick up the baby at the hospital and wait for ICPC clearances for a few days. These power tripping heartless administrators literally caused us to miss the most important moment of my child's life at this point. I called numerous times and could not reach said administrators. I called to speak to the head of security...did not happen. Instead we were bounced around to social workers. They actually went as far as to change the room of the birth mother because the jail had made us aware of the room number. We literally pulled into the parking lot all excited for the birth of our baby only to be told that we were not permitted there. I assume the rent-a-cop security team would have escorted us off of the property or called the real police, who had given us permission to be there...ironic, huh? I am a Master's level RN and my husband is an RN as well. I understand hospital procedures well as I teach nurses basically how to be nurses. Yet I had to deal with these rude and obnoxious incompetent staff members who blocked me from my child. And on discharge, I signed the release papers! So they had consent from the birth mother to discharge the baby to me yet could not tell me that the baby was there or even born. I received minimal information on the birth and health of my baby. I learned from the birth mother that she had aspirated meconium. The nurses NEVER told me this. I learned from reading the minimal records that she was also born jaundiced. I was never told weight, length, time of birth, etc...I had to ask the birth mother who luckily was able to provide the information. Then, to even twist the knife, although they were aware of the adoption plan, the placed my child in the room with the birth mother and continuously referred to her as the "mother" even after she corrected the numerous times. Can you imagine how hard it was on her to be going through an adoption while being forced to care for the baby (birth plan stated that she would see the baby for 30 to 60 minutes before giving her to us) and while being called "mom" by the heartless nurses. Then, the birth mother and other witnesses present told me that the staff not only treated the birth mother poorly (because she was incarcerated, no doubt) but were also "rough" with my daughter. Let me just say that the staff members who were rough with my newborn are extremely lucky that I was not present to see this. As a nurse, I treat ALL patients with the same respect and dignity. I do not base the quality of my care based upon the patient's social status, race, gender, sexual preference, or incarceration. These nurses are not judges. Who do they think that they are to judge and mistreat the birth mother and my daughter? This is abuse!! Horrible hospital!

When I went to see my nephew the wifi was not password protected and the connection was good and fast. The new woman's hospital is the place to have a baby. My wife and had recently had our first baby there. While it wasn't planned the way it happened (she was 4 weeks early), the nurses from labor and delivery were nothing short of amazing, the recovery was a bit rough on my wife but everyone was exceptional in explaining everything and helping with any and everything we needed. Our baby spent some time in the NICU and let me tell you these nurses are angels in scrubs. They encouraged us to stay and visit as long as we wanted, call as often as we wished to get updates and showed us the proper way to care for our baby. Our little miracle is a month old on Christmas and she is doing great. Women's Hospital is the best hands down.

I've tried to get care from Women's Hospital twice. The first time I was suffering miscarriage and needed immediate help, the second time I was pregnant and needed my first appointment scheduled quickly so I could get the early care I needed since I have a history of miscarriages. Both times the receptionist refused to allow me to make an appointment until Medicaid had cleared completely. I was completely willing to set up billing and pay the expenses out of pocket until insurance cleared, but they refused service. I feel that they don't care about their patients care, but only about the bottom line. Neither time have they offered any options or help for the position I was placed in.

I was having a seveal fever and diarrhea through all night and went to this emergency early in the morning. They asked a thousand questions with bad attitude to the patient who could not even sit up straight because of the pain. And made me waitng there for an hour so i had to leave i could not even see a doctor's gown. This place is horrible the worst place ever DO NOT go to this place if you are in real pain.

You have some nice nurses there but the doctors are about as incompetent as they can be. 20 different doctors telling us 20 different things. No communication between them. Extremely unhelpful. Horrible experience. We only went here because it's the closest to family but never again. A little more travel time is worth it to go to a better hospital with doctors who actually know what they're doing.

By far the worst hospital I have been to. I had fell sick with gastrointeritis. They admitted me and put me in a ER full of other patients. We were like sardines, with beds almost touching each other. I waited an hour before someone even took my urine sample. I needed assistance to the restroom and waited another ten minutes on the nurse to come back. If it was something fatal, I definitely would have died. If you are suicidal, don't commit suicide, just go to this hospital. It was that bad.

Recently, a family member was admitted to Flushing hospital's care. The tidbits of racism and lack of assistance only encourage me to continue writing this review. What I found interesting is the fact that the resident attending the patient told me that an examination procedure could not be performed until Tuesday 2/17/2014 due to the holidays. I wasn't aware that doctors observed President's day. He looked perplexed when I said that I wanted the least invasive procedure done to the patient. I only say this because usually at sub par hospitals, they employ cost-effective methods. I also say this due to complications that may arise from certain techniques of administering anesthesia in the elderly. Not too sure if Flushing hospital had stellar reviews for their exemplary service and professionalism. Absolutely, positive about the pompous, god complex, condescending behavior from one nurse and some white coat Asian lady, who apparently is too busy to help a family member of a patient to pretend to work fervently at the computer. Personally, I would have gone to North Shore, yea some residents there are arrogant also but the facility is cleaner and simply put, its a better hospital. In conclusions, its sad how some of these individuals chose to have a career in medicine. I remember doctors and nurse, who became doctors and nurses to help and provide to those in need because they cared. Now its all about status to inflate arrogance, job security, and your HMO.

@Dr Elvis Alfonso... When will you admit you assaulted me? You turned off my epidural without permission, forced me to push, and verbally, physically, and sexually assaulted me (forced pelvic exam) while I was giving birth to my son at Parrish Medical Center in 2008. Your insistence that turning off the epidural to help with pushing is false. In 2010 while I was giving birth to my daughter at Parrish I demanded that my epidural be kept on during the entire process as is my right. I had no difficulty with pushing. In fact, the birth process went much smoother due to the fact that I wasn't in pain. Not only did you assault me, but you also lied about it on my medical records and to DCF, which led to me losing custody of my son. While it is true that his paternal grandparents have adopted him, the fact remains that your treatment of me during his birth is what led to me not being able to care for him properly. My daughter is old enough now to understand the difference between what happened when she was born and what happened when her brother was born. She knows that the fact that you assaulted me during the birth of my son is why I have been able to raise her but not her brother. It is for them that I will not let this rest. Women have rights during pregnancy and childbirth. We have the right to pain relief. We have the right to not be abused in any way. We have the right to decide if we want interventions or not. Our rights come before the opinions of the doctors and nurses. Indeed, they come before the rights of the unborn child.

Came in for an appt and was told the doctor was running behind but I could see her nurse practitioner. No big deal. After an hour I finally asked what's taking so long. They never put me on the NP's list. After waiting longer I was told the NP cant see me. Then I get put at the bottom if the doctor's wait list. This is ridiculous. I will not be back.

Assessment nurse Ginger was ridiculously rude , daughter student at LSU arrived in pain and was told she didnt need to be there that her pain was not an emergency. Not what you want to hear when your 500 miles away from your child.

The worst hospital ever. If I could I'll leave -000 star. The doctors are butcher not doctors they only think how to take the money from your insurance and always find something to go there every two weeks. Their told me to don't keep my baby only because my wife had the diabetics. I have done the transfer only for this and my son is in great condition. Hope that all doctors( butchers) can suffer on their skin all that stress that causes the patient. Dr. Butcher Chan is a criminal.
