At this moment this business has a score of 2.4 stars out of 5 and this rating is based on 107 reviews.

As you can read, the average score it has is weak, and it's founded on a very high number of feddbacks, so we can say that the rating is very faithful. If people have bothered to rate when they are happy, is that it works.

As you know, we don't usually bother to place feddbacks when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...

I tried to set up a payment plan for a recent visit. When I offered $50.00 a month, I was told they would only accept $80.00 a month. I have a chronic health condition, so unfortunately I rack up a lot of bills. They would rather turn me over to collections than accept what I can afford......very caring....NOT. Thank goodness hospitals in Cincinnati are more understanding and will accept the $50.00 a month payment we offered them!

Uncaring, rude, arrongat, and lazy. I would give no stars if I could. Everyone I know including myself hates this hospital. We just go to Cinci now!!!!

My grandfather was recently in this hospital and they were going to let him leave with a bleeding aneurysm. They dont even care. They dont have supplies for surgery. The E.R rooms are dirty as hell and nasty. I don't understand how this hospital is even still up and running.

Diane Bielo

Beautiful facility. Kind and helpful staff!

The worst care ever! They was reasonable for my grandmother's death. My mom just was in there on life support, I am poa an next of kin. I didn't get NOT ONE CALL!! I had no idea her condition had gotten bad an i walked in on my mom having nurses savin her life, wasn't prepared for that because I didn't get a call notifying me her condition had gotten worst!!

My husband was having heart problems and stay overnight. Nurses were great but the medical assistant was hateful and rude. Never again!

Linda Ottaway

I was hospitalized @ St. E's, Florence, for five days in March because of a low blood count. Doctors came in my room everyday to check on me, and the nursing staff was great. Doctors and nurses were professional and friendly.

dave

Do not even waste your time going here. Do yourself a favor and go to a hospital in cincinnati as st e is going to tell you there is nothing they can do and recommend you go to another hospital anyway. Total waste of time and money.

This place is a joke all u see is a Dr assistant. When u ask to see a Dr he comes in and acts like u are not worth his time. Will never bring my love one here again. They need to re think their doctor staff.

I am so impressed with the staff at St. E's. My sister was admitted late last night and I've pretty much spent 24 hours with her and I am surprised how many of the staff went out of their way. One nurse brought her own personal phone charger in for my sister to use and another nurse came in to help my sister with a c-pap machine that she had at home. It wasn't even the reason she was in here but she showed her how to use it. I have a feeling your only hearing from the negative which is ashame because there's so much positive.

I can't tell you how amazing this place is. Our procedure was smooth and we were discharged very quickly. Dr. Moon was fantastic and I can't say enough good things. Thanks for all you do.

Susie Green

The doctors care about their patients. The doctors, nurses and aids are all GREAT. Our stay was very pleasant but we are glad to be going home. THANKS to Dr. Emily Kenner and Dr. Moise. All the nurses( too many to name all of them ). And all the aids, also too many to name. BUT YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE. THANK YOU DO MUCH. Drelon says HELLO.

Matthew Stiverson

My wife was rushed to the er and I was not allowed back because "they haven't roomed her". Even though I know the room she is in since her sister was with her.

Samantha Perkins

disorganized and poor planning, will drive the extra 20 minutes to edgewood in the future

The physicians for women department here is terrible. First they tried to charge us for services that our insurance covers, they tried to have us order prescription drugs through them and would not provide a prescription for us to use elsewhere, and they are degrading each and every time they discover that you are not Catholic. Their billing practices are confusing and we constantly get bills, pay them, then get refunds for the difference only to get the same bill again stating that it is unpaid. The nurses here are wholly under trained and ignorant of even basic healthcare and client management. They are rude and lack common courtesy which seems to be a trickle down effect from the management and administrators. I would not suggest this hospital to anyone looking for affordable, caring, and courteous healthcare. This place seems to think they are doing favors as opposed to being in business.

Although the nurses were great, I gave St. E a 1 because of their service. My dad who is 92 was admitted for four days. We had to provide his Kleenex. The hospital doesnt provide any toiletries unless you pay for them. Dad wasn't allowed to get up on his own and physical therapy only came once to walk him. The only time he got any exercise was walking to the bathroom. The doctors care a joke. You never know when they will show up. So if you want to talk to one, you better pack your bag. The day he was being released, he wasn't released until 9 pm.

Only been admitted to a hospital once in my life. Long story short, at 48 thought I was having a heart attack, wife drove me straight to ER. Immediately taken back and evaluated with heart ruled out. Next concern was stroke so had CT scan that showed no bleeding. An older neurologist was consulted who took one look and told my wife it was a "complex migraine" and I would be back to normal in 24 hours. Placed in ICU, monitored and was perfectly normal when I woke up. Have had my son in ER twice. Top notch care and attention. Wife just had colon surgery here. Private room, I stayed with her at night and could not even hear the nurses in the hall talking. Very relaxing. Nurses are all different but most very attentive and explained every detail of her care. April (I will omit last name) should be nurse of the year. Maybe the best bedside manner and communication I've ever seen and I stayed with my mother in a different hospital for two months, day & night.

1/4/2017, took my 90 yr old mom to the er. No where to sit. Was told 3 hr wait once u went back to be seen. More than an hour to b triaged. 4 1/2 hrs still no dr.

Rather rate it 0. This hospital is only getting worse. They treat patients with little to no respect. They don't care, and employees treat patients and family rudely. The gentleman i take care of was stuck in waiting room over 2 hrs when he was clearly having medical issues. The worse part is, when he had to use bathroom, no one came. Twice i ended up transporting him myself. I'll NEVER come to this location again.

Emily Fabian

The ER is a joke. Went in with foot injury at almost 3am. The triage nurse was rude to begin with. Next the xray tech was short with me and acted like I was wasting too much of her time (it took me a minute to get from the bed to the wheelchair) then I didn't get to see a doctor but only an APRN and she had zero compassion or bed side manners telling me I only have a bruise I'll be fine and walks out. Triage nurse comes in with discharge papers and says here sign this and you're free to go. No explanation on what to do to help with pain or discomfort no post op instructions if things get worse. I felt totally disrespected as a patient.

Tom Somebody

It is a hospital so it seems some people are expecting concierge service when they write their negative reviews. Getting medical attention is not a first come first thing, priorities are the concern. Having said this, I have been here quite a few times for check-ups, therapy and most times I get in at the time I am scheduled, though I do not have any experience with their emergency rooms. The staff is friendly and very polite.

Rebecca Adams

I went to the ER in Edgewood because I was feeling really low from a medication change. As it ended up, they felt that I was in danger and had to stay for 72 hours. Well, that facility was filled, so I had to go to the Mental Health Unit in Florence. My first impression, being wheeled-in to a hallway with neat windows, was actually pretty good... then we turned into the hall and it became darker, dirtier, and a lot more outdated. It only got worse from there. I have Aspergers and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. When I got into the mental health facility, it was terrible! They had me sit out in a single chair in the hall with noise coming from everywhere and I was all by myself with people who I couldn't even tell if they were the nurses or not coming by. Being in that environment ALONE drove me into an even WORSE state than if I had just been at my house. It took until I literally tore-up the patient rights packet (because they didn't even give me a stress ball or check on me) and the bottom of my paper shirt until someone actually came to check on me and get me out of that environment. So, after THAT transition, to shorten this review, the place was HECK for anyone with Aspergers. You couldn't escape the noise in your room because it was loud in there. You had no privacy ANYWHERE (the whole facility could hear you use the restroom), there were bright lights everywhere, no one came to check on you even if you were sobbing hysterically--better yet, I'm on the gluten-free diet and when I told them that (because I need to be on it) the people in charge of food didn't even KNOW what that was! To make matters worse, they listed me as being on a REGULAR DIET when I was wearing an allergy band FOR MY DIET! No one asked WHY I was wearing it! Oh yeah, and another thing, they kept passing risperdal (RES-PER-DOLL) out like candy--and that drug has a lot of lawsuits out for it for giving people diabetes, permanent nerve problems, and so on. Yet, when they wanted to put ME on it, they claimed that it only enlarged men's breasts sometimes and that's why they were there. Yeah, nope! (Seriously, guys, type in "risperdal" to your Google Search Bar, the lawsuits literally are the first thing that pops up.) They also gave you nothing to comfort yourself. We had no blankets supposedly so we wouldn't suffocate ourselves but we had pillows? How does that make sense?! To top everything off, they would tell me what medication I was on BUT THEY DIDN'T GIVE ME THE DOCUMENTATION OF IT! Not while I was there, not when I left. How was *I* supposed to remember the name of a medication that sounds like "polysifjbfijskdf" or "opidogidingdongdoodly?" They apparently expected you to be so drugged-up, you wouldn't care about things--and they made that completely obvious when they kept shouting, slamming doors, scraping chairs against the floor, and clattered things about all throughout the night. I was only there for 24 hours at most. Because my medication had worn-out from the change, my episode was over and I managed to convince the very nice psychiatrist that I didn't need to be there. THAT was the loophole that could get me out early. I probably never needed to be there in the first place, but if I had been left there, I would've. If you have no conscious will to live, don't have Aspergers (because they seriously had NO IDEA how to deal with it), or are totally buzzed-up on heroin or some other drug, you should totally try it--it's what they're expecting.

My son had a feeding tube put in his nose and they never hooked it up for hours totally not necessary for him to have such discomfort for that length of time for no reason

I have no idea how this place even qualifies as a hospital. If you need anything go to UC or children's. I've had to experiences with this place. Each worse than the last. This place needs to be shut down for good..

Dr Paul, Dr Kim, Dr Schott and the TCU, ICU and ED people were just amazing. Everyone from the doctors to the cleaning people really cared. I could not have asked for better treatment. I was far away from home and felt very alone and vulnerable. They gave me peace of mind. Love you guys!

The Life of Michael Mullins from the beginning

This is the worst ER I have ever been to. You sit for hours in the waiting room. The doctors dont wanna do anything for you besides rush you out. I was told take this pee cup and use the bathroom and bring it back to the desk. I did and when I got back there like sorry shes gone to lunch just hold it. This was on a thursday morning with very few people waiting, but still took 2 hours to be seen.

erich fitzpatrick

In 2012, this awesome team of professionals saved my life with an innovative procedure. The care I received was top notch from all departments. Thank you!

Mariah Cannoy

On there website they state that "patients express that the equality of care St. E is unmatched". Now at first i didnt believe it was true. Then the more i thought about it, the more its coming true. They are unmatched. But for a different reason. That being because they are a horrible hospital. With degrading doctors && nurses that just don't give a crap. Every other hospital around here is no comparison, because there auctually good hospitals. If you ever have to go to the ER go over to Ohio or to Lexington. You'll recieve much better care!

E B

Not a great experience with my son however they simply are just not equipped to deal with mental health issues in the ER for children. Our nurse Sandy was amazing though. There needs to be more people like her in this world. Very kind and understanding. No judgement, no rude comments or spirks. Very professional and just kind hearted. Sandy went above and beyond for us and truly cared. Thank you so much you were a Godsend.

terrible...terrible...terrible!!! i would love to give them a negative 10 if i could. the first 3 hours we were there i had only two nurses come into my room..i was in excruciating pain and no one was doing anything. literally!! after being there for about 3 1/2 hours i had to call the nurse back in and let her know what i needed done! my family doctor told me to go to the ER immediately because she thought i had possible nerve damage in my ear and all i needed was a CT scan and they were treating me as if i was there with a sinus infection and looking to get pain medication!! i was livid!! they finally sent the doctor in and he said he would order a CT scan. pretty sad that i’m not even a nurse and had to tell these idiots what needed to be done. after another four hours i received my results and was able to leave. i will never go back to this dirty...rudely staffed hospital again. they don’t care about anyone and the amount of time that was wasted for no reason was insane!! i have never been in so much pain in my life and they didn’t even care!! WHAT A JOKE! never ever will i recommend this hospital to anyone. don’t go there unless you want to be treated like your life doesnt matter.

Mike B.

Unless you enjoy being spoken to and treated as if you are a walk-away from the dementia wing of a long tern nursing facility, find another hospital; preferably one that treats adults with dignity. Not everyone with white hair requires being walked fifty feet across the lobby to a clearly marked check in desk. However, in the words of the responsible administrator, "We walk everyone over and hand them off." While I'm certain St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Florence experiences their share of senior citizens requiring that level of hand holding, to treat everyone as if we are incompetent shows a total lack of respect for us as individuals.

ALI Q

Great service but we got completely ripped off with bills after delivery. They claimed charges for a lot of services they didn't even provide at the hospital. I wouldn't recommend, unless, you have 100% coverage.

I wish I could give them zero stars. My grandmother was admitted here due to an oxygen level being extremely low and she almost died. She was not alert and was unaware of what was going on. My mother had visited her but she was still asleep. After two days she woke up after my mother had already left, frightened and in pain. Not knowing where she was she yelled for help. The nurses yelled and screamed back at a scared, confused, sickly, old woman who was in a great deal of pain. The nurses decided that she was a complicated patient because of this and would often choose not to answer her call button. She had at least two times where she could not breathe and pushed her call button only to be ignored leaving her to call my mother and have my mother call the nurses desk to get them to help her. When my husband and I visited her her c-pap machine was on crooked with a leakage of 45 %. Her mask was too small bruising her face and sucking up her lips. She was lying half way off of the bed and her pee bag was completely full. She had been told they would remove the mask when her food had arrived but the cafeteria had been closed when we got there and her food had sat next to her for a few hours. This was the first meal she had in two days due to her being out of it until then. After we complained they gave her a bigger mask, changed her pee bag, and claimed that the small mask had no leakage, which was bull as I read the monitor first. After she got better they would help move her around to prevent bedsores from laying there so long. They would help her to the chair. Sometimes she would find it hard to breathe and need to have her position changed. On the last day she was told by a CNA or PCA not sure which that "she had better watch herself because they weren't going to be moving her around all day long" which scared her because again in some positions she can not breathe very well. The doctors were great but the nurses were not. They were rude, snarky, over sensitive to questions. They were negligent and in some cases I feel like some of them were abusive. I would not recommend anyone taking their loved one here unless it was the only choice they had and in that case make sure to be there with them every waking moment if you want to be sure they treat your loved one like a human being and not a burden they don't want to help.

John Davison

Well, I got in right away, and a doctor looked at me pretty quick. All he did was look at my ear and refer me to an ENT who did the real work. But that didn't stop them from charging me $1,000+. Seriously. And that's with "insurance". So 5 stars for being quick about it, 1 star for pricing, 3 stars average? Is that fair?

Nicki Sheaffer

Do not go here. Doctors do not care about patients. I came into the E.R. with chest, neck, and jaw pain. After sitting in the waiting room for 30 mins I was finally taken into a room and was seen by a nurse. I was finally admitted still in pain. I was constantly asked how is your pain? I finally left on my own after a 12 hr stay. I was given two tylenols lol. Don't go!

I went in for tighness of chest and back, they did the EKG, then admitted me to a room for further testing. The staff were all very kind and attentive. They went thru a check list, to eliminate the most serious, of heart blockage, to ensure that they covered everything, they took blood, took Xrays, did the CAT scan and communicated with me all along the way, what was next. When they decided to keep me overnight, to monitor my heart, the shifts changed, and I was introduced to the next nurse on duty and several doctors stopped in to check on me. They went out of their way to ensure that I was comfortable, and the food was very good. I had lunch, dinner and breakfast and was happy with the healthy heart choices. The only person that I was not thrilled with was the "heart doctor" who seemed rather arrogant, but the rest of the staff and emergency room doctor were all absolutely wonderful! It turned out to not be an issue with my heart, but rather tighened muscles due to stress. I left there feeling like I was taken well care of and would definitely return, should the need arise in the future.

Thomas Bjelland

If you have a child with a hyphema, your better off getting your doctorate and checking it out yourself. However if you come in with a cough good news your top priority and will be seen right away. Only person to give a damn is the desk lady on arrival.

Heather Fritsch

I would give this ER a negative rating if I could. They seriously took two cases before us and the kids were obviously fine running around the damn waiting room while my child sobbed in pain!!!! It's a joke. They were clearly fine and my child who had rapid onset let side pain which indicates appendicitis sat and waited!!!!.

angela mitchell

The care my daughter received was horrible. She bled every where and they did not even provide us with the chucks to change her. We waited nearly 3 hours just to get Tylenol for her pain! Her door was left open with her only wearing a gown on three different occasions! I became angry and they attempted to call security on me for advocating for my daughter and their lack of care! I would never recommend anyone here. However the lady taking insurance info was amazing and pleasant

Terry Webster

Dint wast ur time here the nurse s r vary vary rood and this one nurse was rude to me and i would not give any stars at all

Sara Arroyo

worst place ever, I refuse to go here, I perfer Covington and Edgewood.

My son has been in and out of this hospital several times over a year now and has had excellent care. I find the workers and the staff people very nice and helpful. he is there today again. I live in Ohio. Thank you everyone!

Kristen Schneider

If you don't know where you're going, don't worry ... someone on staff will escort you. When I arrived, there was someone there to meet me and when I was finished, I was led back to the main entrance. Talk about door-to-door service! More places need to do this.

dropshocking

How do you review a hospital... Not the newest location but if you don't feel like dealing with the awful traffic at St. Elizabeth Edgewood do not avoid this place. Very competent staff. Short wait times usually and the same St. E care

Troxelsbabe

If I could give this bandaid station a - I would. This place and the people who work here are a joke! Please if you have the time I would recommend going across the river and far away from this monopoly!

matt vancleve

I let every nurse or MD know on the way in that I was light sensitive, at least 3-4 people. The MD named Greg walks into the room and turns the light on without even acknowledging me first. This place is a major joke and is only in it for the money. If you aren't on the verge of death, I'd recommend going somewhere else.

(Translated by Google) This place is a rubbish. They are very racist despots, few emergency professionals have nothing. Before hiring the nurses, they should be trained to teach them how a human being is. Whether Hispanic or Asian, rich or poor, we all have equal rights. In the last two of my only three visits to my doctor at St E in Florence, I was called by the wrong name. Each time I corrected the receptionists and nurse’s aids, they adamantly said something like, “Oh, This is your proper name then,” seeing there were two names on my paperwork, my real name and someone else with the same last name, but different first. Each time, I replied, “No my name is NOT Diane, nor has it ever been, and nor will it ever be, they just looked at me, like “right.” Since on the last visit it happened again and no one seemed to care about doing something about it, I told them something needed to be done. Both the aide and receptionist replied with, “Oh no, we can’t do anything about this, this came out of the STATE!” I’m thinking, “What exactly are you talking about?” Although I did not want to look, I couldn’t help but see the other name on my chart, as I was told we were linked together. I was also told it might be because we had the same last name, same birthdate, and same last 4 digits on our social! But, again, no one seemed bothered but me. At a glance I could see over a page of prescriptions for the other lady and then my two. Seems like a breach of confidence to me and I WILL NOT let it go on. I was told since it was from the “STATE” I was the one who would have to get my record straightened out. I was given Kasper as the name to contact(but no contact information), so I suppose our state has a new name. I was also told I could go through my pharmacist! I was not happy about having to take care of a problem someone else created. This never happens at any of the other St E facilities, mind you. So I called Kasper and as I expected, I was told, “No, honey your DOCTOR’s office will have to take care of this as I was not allowed. Surprise, surprise. This lady also mentioned checking with my pharmacy and on the way home, I did. Again, I was told everything was correct in their records of me and that they would gladly help out if they knew how. So I called my doctor’s office and although it was not time to close, I was sent to their voicemail which told me if I was calling during normal business hours, and I was, someone would get back to me, but they didn’t. Another surprise from the receptionists who seem to be glued to their seats and certainly don’t want to be bothered with problems they’ve created. Disappointed in this St E facility and you WILL be hearing more from a concerned and frustrated patient in a world of stolen identies and what not. Since I’m linked to this person, logic tells me she is linked to me and much of my personal information. That’s NOT RIGHT, St E.

worst group of hospitals I have ever dealt with. 'Unusually slow and the staiff is rude...

Some of the staff are helpful but some are really rude! Especially rude when they get your information at check in.

Where do I start? My wife is clinically diagnosed with depression and wanted to have her placenta encapsulated to regulate hormones after birth, so we discussed this as a part of her birth plan before we ever went into labor, then again when we were admitted. They gave verbal confirmation multiple times that this was okay, then when it came time to leave they wouldn't let us leave with her placenta until she (after waiting *an entire extra day* at the hospital to get her placenta since it was a time sensitive issue to get it to the company that encapsulates them) was forced to make a scene and have them call in their supervisor's manager's boss (my wife is an attorney and we were thinking about suing the hospital over this at the time). We were patient and pleasant for the first 3 hours when there appeared to be a misunderstanding. "It's a part of my body you took from me and won't give it back?!?" she exclaimed. But ya know ... it's some kind of "policy" they have. Our family was in town that day everybody waiting for us to come from all day long at our house to see the baby and we didn't get home until about 8 - 9pm due to the delay over this in the hospital. Finally the big man came into our room and told us we could have our placenta back. Wow. It totally turned what could've been an ecstatic day of celebration into a nightmare. There were other problems too. Like the fact that they don't give you "Birth Fax" when you leave, and yet they told us when we inquired about getting our son's paperwork (e.g. Birth Certificate and Social Security Card) they told us "Oh those will come in the mail later," then when the Social Security Card finally came in the mail over a month later we still didn't have a birth certificate to prove to our insurance we had a son - and when we called them about it they said we had to pay for it and fill out an application and it would take a while to get it (nevermind standard insurance policies). When we saw the application we remember that we had already filled out that same form when we were in the hospital. What happened to that form? Why did we never get a birth certificate? Now we have to pay $36.50 to get it over-nighted because we are on thin ice with our insurance company. Really? Horrible experience. Horrible. I'll save you the rest.

I really don't think there is enough room for what I went through. I will just tell you some of the things I went through. 1) I " supposedly"had a heart attack in 2014. I say that because when I called the ambulance, it was because I was having trouble breathing. I was also living with a person (room mate) that I didn't know. A so called friend of mine told me about an elderly man that needed a room mate. I was living in one of the worst hotels because the ex got us evicted from the APT. we lived in.(He was a bi polar, alcoholic with diabetes and ex Navy). I found out a week before we were "kicked" out that the ex did not pay the last 2 month's of rent. That is enough to make you crazy!!! So after I moved from the hotel (it was the Super 8 one on Dream Street, home to some nasty drug addled individuals) into the now ex roommate, my stress levels were high. Severely high. No we didn't have children(the ex and I and were married on paper for 23 yrs.) So, the breathing I was having was so severe I called 911. I could barely get a breath in! They took a chest x Ray at Grant County St. E. And within moments the Dr. was running down the hall dreaming "admit her!! She is having a heart attack!!" They immediately rushed me to the Florence St. E. hospital. I had No One to be there with me!! I was 46 then. My family was no help. They (all 3 of them) called me on the phone!! Okay the treatment at that hospital was, well not telling me what was really going on. All throughout that experience all I was told is that I had a huge blood clot at the bottom of my heart and they treated that with 2 blood clot drugs. Then sent me home. with a booklet to read about heart failure. The cardiologist did do an angiogram. That isn't all. Some of the nurses were awesome. The doctors did not speak English well. So I spent my time asking a ton of questions. It was truly a mess. Lynn

People helping other people for free like my grandma these people save lives.

Healingfromwithin777

They are helping my Aunt tremendously, who had just had a stroke . The nurses in the ICU and on the fourth floor were always smiling and in a good mood which helps the patients heal.

Rachel Tidwell

I would give it zero stars if I could. That place is horrible. My husband was sent there by a dr for antibiotics. The first dr had cut the area open to drain it. When we arrived he was bleeding and in a lot of pain. They him sit there over an hour, bleeding, and no one even checked on him. But the triage nurse had the time to tell me my child shouldn't be playing on the floor in the area set aside for children where they had toys. So I was supposed to keep a 1 year old from screaming her head off while we wait for hours. But she can't play in the toy area. Every staff member I had contact with was rude. The triage area wasn't very modern or we'll kept either. Will never go there again. We left and went to good sam western ridge.

Mariah Flowers

If I could give this a negative star I would. We had an alcohol poisoning issue (don't get me wrong... It was a self made problem) but OMG!!!... It took an hour to get fluid and see a doctor and we even had to leave without recommendation!! The registration (his name was Greg F.) asked us why we were being rude.... For starters, and I truly wanted to know if my spouse had alcohol poisoning... So of course I was worried and definitely assertive. We were placed in the psych ward room, our nurse (Kim B ) whom had been brought about by shift change... Was absolutely 100 and 10% not concerned about my spouse and even diverted the attention to the fact that I had no medical degree and should not pull my spouse out of the hospital without recommendation!!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE FOR EVEN SOMETHING THAT COULD BE POTENTIALLY LIFE THREATENING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This hospital is a true joke.

was taken in to St. Elizabeth because of a vehicle accident. They took great care of me and my family. the surgeon even prayed for me.

My mom (88) has been here for 5 days. I find the level of care and attention by all staff (nurse aides, nutritionists, Physical and respiratory therapists, nurses and doctors and even housekeeping) to be great. They are meeting all our needs, caring, and responsive. We are NOT experiencing the problems others seem to be having with this facility. We will not hesitate to come back if the need arises. Thanks for helping mom get well.

My husband took our son to the er here late night tonight because he woke up with a horrible ear ache, swimmers ears. They did absolutely nothing,I mean nothing!! Our son is 12 years old and in pain! So I am doing holistic healing. I think I will find a lawyer, not so much for money but to get these dam doctors to care a bit. I bet our bill will be at least $1000 for nothing!!

There's good and bad about this place. You can definitely tell there's people who care here and then you can tell who's here just for the paycheck. I was admitted into St Elizabeth with spinal issues and one of my nurses had then nerve to ask me if I was milking my injuries. That same nurse proceeded to roll her eyes every time I asked for help. I also nearly choked to death in my bed mashing on my nurse button to no response but thankfully I had a visitor to help me. And lastly my "psychiatrist" who is supposed to be positive and helpful didn't care about a single answer I gave him, constantly rushing to the next question. And he assumes that I was gay becsus of my appearance. I'm severely upset with how many people here just don't seem to care and I will be filing a major complaint to whoever I can to make sure other people never get this same treatment

Make sure you cancel all your plans, don't expect to be seen as soon as you get here. You might be lucky with a 4 hour wait time

Medical neglect and incompetency is rampant in this hopital! The level of care is horrific, they don’t deserve 1 star! They left my son who was at risk for DKA (a serious diabetic condition) out in the hallway for 9hrs exposed to complete madness along with a very elderly man & others before being told he needed to be in ICU. Yet 3 hrs later and still no room or even fluids started much less any insulin (which is vital to overcome DKA) except he was given a Sprite and a crustless pbj after 12 hrs!! Not a remedy for the situation!! Needless to say he left without treatment bc he was starving & it was imperative he get more fluids!! Btw diabetics need to eat or their sugars can go high or low!!

The staff was great when I was sent to the emergency department. I could not breathe and they were able to stabilize me until I could be transferred. It is never fun or a good time to go to the hospital but the staff was very attentive and made all the efforts possible to help me in such a time of need.

Surgery 4 hours late. We were told to arrive at 12 in preparation for a 1:30 out patient surgery that should only take 30 minutes. We waited 5 hours to be brought back to surgery. Very poor planning and communication. No sense of urgency or customer service. We'll schedule future surgery elsewhere.

Aweful, there are not enough words to describe this meaning for this hospital. My younger brother cut his hand on a hedge trimmer and soaked a towel with blood. When my dad got him to the emergency room, we live bout 5 minutes away, they made him wait....mind you he is bleeding and its dripping on the floor. There was hardly anyone in the room at all. There was an elderly lady in a wheelchair with her son. They made the receptionist enter my brother into the system before them. After both she and my brother were entered into the system, she went in first and came out before my brother was even called back. By this time the towel on his hand has dried with blood and his cut had fully clotted up and dried. I shall never willingly take someone here or enter myself for an emergency

RIDICULOUS! This hospital is complete garbage! My mother went there and although the nurses are outstanding, the doctors were awful and seemed to care less about the patients. She went home to find that her incision that they went over at discharge was not even stitched up. How do you send someone home with directions to come back to remove stitches and not know you never stitched them up. Idiots. There is so much more I could add, yet I will not waste my time. Just stay away from here if you can.

I spent this past weekend in the hospital for pneumonia. The care I received during my stay was good. However, they sent me home on insulin for my diabetes as oral medications weren't keeping my levels controlled. I have never used insulin before and was give very little education on how to do so. I was told to check my levels before meals and dose with a fast acting insulin according to a sliding scale based on my levels. The sliding scale wasn't in any of my documentation they sent home with me. I had to call and get it over the phone. I was never told how to deal with highs and lows between meals. I was never shown the proper way to use the prefilled injector for my slow acting. I managed to figure that out on my own but I'm still stumbling through between meal lows and highs. Maybe I should have asked more questions, but I was sick and overwhelmed and exhausted and never should have been sent home with medication that could potentially be deadly if used improperly without the proper education.

Wife wasn’t able to keep nothing down and they said she had generalized abdominal pain but here’s the thing she was released with still holding nothing down throwing up as she was walking out of the Er room then we had to go to another hospital in Ohio cause I drive a truck and come to find out she had two things wrong with her with the same symptoms and the dr didn’t treat her correctly. Miss diagnosed completely. Filing a complaint with the medical board.

This place is a joke. I came in after a severe mold encounter feeling dizzy, having breathing difficulty and chest pains. I explain I felt fine until the bad mold exposure over the last couple days. So after I sit back here for 2 1/2 hours they come to try giving me something for nausea and heartburn. I've had heartburn issues for too many years to believe that. Heartburn causes dizziness, body pains, metallic taste, chest pains, breathing difficulties and a headache? Really???? No. This is scary. This is the result of st e the monopoly.

My boyfriend came here for DKA (diabetic keto Acidoisis) which as everyone knows is very urgent and a serious issue that can lead to coma and death... he sat in a bed in the hallway for 11.5 hours due to “overcrowding” one doctor was preparing discharge and another one came back and said he’s going to ICU and isn’t allowed to leave and a nurse told us something completely different they were all over the place and didn’t inform us of anything. They wouldn’t allow him to drink water or eat anything even though he kept mentioning how hungry he was and thirsty. He wasn’t vomiting so there’s no excuse for that. They said a room was clean and he’d be instantly moved to ICU... another 3 hours and still sitting in the ER. Nobody came to check on him but once they didn’t offer food or anything. They said he’s be on a special diet due to being a diabetic but they said they didn’t have any food left to give him so the nurse brought him a sprite and a crushable packaged PB & J sand which with high sugar and carbs... even though they said he was in DKA. It was horrific we ended up leaving because they were getting nowhere and didn’t treat him because they didn’t have anywhere to treat him in ICU. Absolutely terrible service I am shocked and appalled by the unorganized rude staff working there. Such a horrifying experience.

We were in Cincinnati for two days for my husband’s job interview; when my daughter had a little accident and we had to take a trip to the ER. She’s two, and the staff was FANTASTIC with her. They got us checked in, back to a room, stitched up and discharged within an hour. Amazing! This was our first major ‘boo-boo’ and trip to an ER; so the compassion and attentiveness meant everything to us as parents! I’d especially like to thank Rose. I wish I had gotten her last name so I could recognize her further. But, she came back, after getting all of our info into the system, with a bear and two stickers for my girl. My daughter slept with that teddy bear that night for a little extra comfort! Thank y’all!!

I went to this St E's emergency room because I was afraid something was seriously wrong with my wrist. I have joint problems, so I pushed myself up into a standing position from sitting and something inside my wrist snapped off and I felt my whole arm go numb and pins and needles shooting up my elbow and down my fingers. This lasted for two hours. I wait for HOURS, and then finally see a doctor. He is very obviously trying not to laugh at me, flippantly dismisses my concerns, doesn't want to do an x-ray, deduced it's just tendinitis by a quick tap on my wrist, laughs at me again when I say there's a lump in my joint that's not in my other wrist, and tells me that he's not concerned about anything being seriously wrong because I'm a young healthy girl with no history of arthritis or serious conditions. My chart noted that I do have a history of arthritis, and also that I have Multiple Sclerosis. So, he very clearly didn't even read my chart!! A couple of days ago, I saw a joint doctor. I do not have tendinitis, I have a CYST IN MY JOINT. It could have been there for years with how long I've had pain problems in this wrist! This was the worst hospital experience I've ever had. I would rather drive back up to Cincinnati for hospital care than ever go to ANY St. E again after this experience! NO DOCTOR SHOULD DISMISS A PATIENTS CONCERN AND LAUGH AT THEM. AND READ YOUR PATIENTS CHARTS, YOU SMUG SACK OF DEEP FRIED TESTICLES.

From transport to emergency room, I've never seen a more aggravated, unprofessional people in my life. Next time I'm out , of town keep driving.

Yes this is where my husband told me he'd rather not be a parent if it meant having to deal with me

Marylu Funyak

I've had nothing but good experiences here. Caring nurses, very competent healthcare, and nurses treated me as special, very caring.

I am so utterly shocked and disappointed with my visit to the ER on the date of 2/19/2018. I went in regarding some bladder pain, pain when urinating and because I was having trouble urinating at all. The waiting room was packed ( no fault of theirs it is just worth a mention ). I waited one hour until they called me back to take my temperature and blood pressure. But at this point I was okay with that and understanding, because though I was in pain, there were people there who needed to be seen worse than I did. So I go back and they do my vitals and ask me the normal stuff then hand me a urine collection kit and say; "if you gotta go, go." So I go to the restroom and try my very best to trickle some urine into this cup. When I am finished, I ask a nurse what to do with it... her response? "keep it with you in the waiting room". So I walk out to the main waiting room, urine cup in hand COMPLETELY embarrassed. After sitting for another ten minutes I walk to the front desk and ask again about the urine. Again, I am told to just hold onto it. And I did. Until they called me to a room THREE HOURS LATER. Then they test that sample. The one that sat in my purse for hours. Eventually the doctor comes in and is from the very beginning a very condescending and rude man. He would not refer to my genitals in a formal way instead he referred to them as my "lady bits" *eyeroll here*. And with every simple thing he said he slowed down and described it in laymens terms like I was a child. It was humiliating and infuriating. He says he tested the urine and it seems good that he is one hundred percent sure that it is not an infection. And says he will prescribe medicine for a UTI and medicine for an HSV outbreak (I have only had one outbreak ever but I am diagnosed). I asked if maybe I should be examined before he just starts prescribing me medicine and he says; "they wont do you any harm. if they dont work then I guess go to your OB." Ok... Well after he leaves the room I called in a nurse and let her know I would like to be examined but NOT by a male. And she says its him or nobody and I should just call my OB. I then proceeded to tell her it was from a personal childhood trauma that made me uncomfortable with the male doctor... she says "mm yeah sorry". That was her response. I felt humiliated, embarrassed and honestly just... dehumanized. I left your ER crying and feeling awful . . . I will NEVER return.

Jessica Huff

Worst hospital ever!! Their instruments do not even work. Had to wait over two hours for them to check an eye with a pen that had blue light. If you want to live I suggest UC or St. E south!!

Can't stand this place. Edgewood and Covington are great Doctors have been nice and nurses any time I have been at either place didn't matter if it was for me or a family member. But Florence location needs a lot of work. People are rude and they don't care.

Bridget Niece

I was visiting a friend in emergency yesterday and I was met with the most helpful staff I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with at a hospital with one exception. The young lady at the outside desk was very nice but she was getting yelled at by the wife of a man being brought by ambulance. Instead of that lady just understanding that the wife was acting Rudely because of her situation she was rude right back. I know it's hard to deal with people when they are like that but it's always compassion that wins the day.... I think she needs addition training and maybe some system to allow staff to release stress and smile on short breaks to redirect their attention and restore a right attitude. The other staff in the room were amazingly sweet, upbeat, helpful and comforting. There was a Male volunteer that I wanted to hug to pieces for his precious demeanor. We need more people like him with a servants heart. We all need to be servants. If everyone wasn't out for themselves and instead had an outward servant focus we would all get better service everywhere and we wouldn't get so bent put of shape when things weren't perfect. Thanks amazing staff!

Doug Bowling

I think the care here is sub par compared to Edgewood, they do a terrible job of listening to patient needs very slow to react and not going over there medical records to know what has been going on.
