REVIEWS OF LMH Health IN Kansas

Diane Judd

I was recently admitted into LMH and I have to say they took care of me the minute I came through those doors. The staff was very professional about the care they gave me. I had no idea what was going on with my health but I'm recovering. I'm so thankful for all those who helped me. They worked as a team and I'm grateful for the excellent care I recieved! God bless!

J Hampto

Will never go there consciously again. Sign nothing. If you end up there, ask to be taken anywhere else. Arby's would be more useful.

Elizabeth Kimaru

I was in the E.R. tonight and they got me in and out I'm new to the area and Im not used to that lol Thank You

Expensive care & horrible management in Pt Accts, Admissions, & HR. Making money is #1 priority as a former patient and employee.

Unprofessional and rude. Will not name names, but there is one staff member in particular that inspired this review.

Was attacked and the nurses found out I lived with a mental illness and suggested I was drunk. Then proceeded to act like the glass door which wasn’t all the way shut was as thick as ice, meanwhile I could hear 3 drs/nurses laugh amongst themselves about my situation. I eventually was tranquilized and they told my dad not to come for 3 hours. I’d say I had one compassionate dr the entire time. This was awful.

My wife has been an oncology patient at LMH for two years now. The oncology staff overall have been caring, empathetic and attentive. My one gripe is the time it takes to begin her infusion. When we first started back in January of 2016 it took 30-45 minutes before her treatment started. Gradually it became 60 minutes, then 90 minutes. Today was the absolute worst. It took 1 hour and 55 minutes. When we ask the nurse why it's taking so long we're always told it's the pharmacy. We understand that the infusion is custom mixed, but waiting 2 hours we believe is unreasonable.

It was the worst hospital ive ever been to will never go back ever

My partner was diagnosed with cancer and has had several surgeries at lawrence memorial and chemo. Her experience has been nothing but WONDERFUL. The ER can be a little slow to get in at times but after several trips to other ER's it's about the same as others in the Kansas City area. The staff has always been gentle and friendly. We have been to other hospitals but we choose to make the 45 min. Drive to Lawrence

I rarely do a negative review however after attempting a reasonable response here goes. I will never return after a visit to the ER. To have eight stitches in my leg due to a dog bite, I waited two hours to receive care, was charged my than $2000.00 I wrote the board of directors, which did not throughly review the facts in particular time, service, treatment. Basically a letter saying “were good, pay the bill.” Eight stitches $2000.00 say it one more time out loud. This is a sad joke. Oh but Im so lucky because they will take payments from me. Isn’t that great. Looking forward to a similar LAME response such as viewed on other posts listed here. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AVOID THIS HOSPITAL. I dont need a LAME Social Media Response (Propaganda) Thanks for nothing!

My wife and I just got home from having our 4th child. We were hesitant because we have had two of our kids at home. However, the staff in the maternity ward was excellent(especially Dr. Underwood). They were extremely flexible and worked with our mid-wife, and no request was dismissed as silly. We appreciate the care given to us and would recommend it to anyone of our friends who were looking to have their child at a hospital!

I landed in this hospital twice while visiting Lawrence earlier this year. I was 2000 miles from home and felt just as comfortable and cared-for as I would have at home in Seattle. It was not a matter of simply having no complaints. It was more like all the times my husband and I turned to each other with raised eyebrows to indicate our astonishment at the level of attention I was getting. I spent a total of 9 days inpatient, and will happily recommend this hospital and its emergency department to everyone.

Jessica Skinner

The ER staff is very unprofessional. I have unfortunately had to take a trip to the ER several times in the past year and each time has been as unpleasant as the next. The staff seem very bitter about their jobs and seem to take it out on patients who are there for their help. They treat their patients horribly, and are a disgrace to the healthcare system. The nurse Casey is horribly rude in particular. Pray you don't get her as your nurse. If you do, ask for a new one.

Jasmine Garland

Could be better it's about 50/50 I think the nurses in labor and delivery could be less stuck up. The pain clinic I have been going to since before they where located at LMH after the move to this hospital it is not the same the treatment is poor but sometimes it can be ok.I have lived in Lawrence my whole life and I would tell you if you can speak care some where else....although you may get lucky and get one of the rare doctor and nursing team who actually cares.

Sharon Fox

Poor service passed out with cramps and ect. before comming there and I’m 10 weeks along they all treated me and my unborn child with no respect a lot of them judged me for even showing up like it wasn’t important so I will definitely be finding a new ob/gyn in another hospital and that’s the last visit I’d be making there.

This is VERY important to know about the LMH emergency room: they reverse triage. In order to improve their official response time to ER intake, they will see the *least* sick, *least* injured, *least* critical patients first. Your only chance of getting seen quickly unless you have an easily treatable, simple, no-hassle problem like a sprained ankle that will count toward their success rate in under 10 minutes is basically zero - unless you're making a mess in the waiting room by puking or bleeding. You can go in there with symptoms of a heart attack, stroke, spinal meningitis, you name it - if it's complicated and potentially lethal, you're not going to be seen soon (if at all - depends entirely on how long you're willing to wait). That's because they maintain two separate workflows, one with ultra fast turnaround (easy problems, easy money, easy numbers) and one for serious problems - and the serious problem flow has way fewer beds, can only process a few patients at once, and those serious patients take a LONG time to sort out and stabilize. That's bad for their numbers, which is why they want to load balance the kind of patients they see to make the ER appear more effective and more efficient and more competent by sheer metrics. This dual workflow was explained to me by one of the front desk triage techs. They didn't add "so we can look more competent" but that's the very obvious outcome of front-loading easy problems and putting the serious ones on the back burner, handling a max of 3 or 4 at once. Based on what I heard from the nursing supervisor, I think there are only 3 or 4 serious problem beds. Every other bed is hot sheets. Separate workflows, remember? They won't have an opening in serious problems for hours, but they will crank those nosebleeds, ear infections, sprained ankles, etc. out on a rapid churn. From what I can tell, if a patient goes in just saying "I'm puking" (and maybe you are puking - salt water and ipecac are good for that) you will get seen ASAP. Once you get into triage just let them take your numbers (pulse, temp, etc.) and keep saying "I'm puking" - you will get in to see a PA in zippy time. Then tell him or her that you're also having problems X, Y, Z. They can NOT send you back out into the waiting room, once you're in the room you are IN THE ROOM. They also can NOT ignore the fact that you just told them the symptoms you're having aren't easy metrics and try to route you back over to the serious medicine rooms. Malpractice is the problem at that point. Once you're in the room, you're in the room, and they have to deal with reality. You will be seen by a doctor, and the doctor will have to treat your stroke/heart attack/etc. instead of the "burned my hand on the cookie sheet" person. It's getting in the room that is the problem, when the ER is used as a primary care facility by every clown, weirdo, addict, homeless person, crazy, or unenrolled in a 30 mile radius. You will watch meth heads who need to have the chunk of scalp they ripped off their head while tweaking patched up SAILING ahead of elderly cardiac emergencies in that ER. It's all about the numbers. The girl who pinched her finger in the shake machine at the fast food restaurant will go ahead of the guy who is literally struggling to remain conscious in his chair because the pain from his injured back is so severe that he has turned an alarming shade of purple. You will watch that guy sit there for an hour. And then two hours. While you sit there, unable to feel half of your hand and most of your arm... For almost four hours. Watching literally every other person come and go. Wondering - is this a stroke? Did I throw a clot? Is it just nerve damage? Will I get sensation and function in my arm back? Are my chances of getting the arm back going down with every additional hour? That's what you sit there wondering. In the "serious" workflow lane. For hours.

Don't go to this hospital if you can help it. They are rude and incompetent, they could care less about you untill they get there insurance cards from you. If you dont have insurance they will not treat you. They wont try to dig deeper to really find your medical problem. They will just do the bare minimum to get you out the door.

Jeanne Reese

I was there for a very long 3 hours. Although my visit felt rushed.

Aesha Lietaert

Had to be admitted to the ER for nausea last night associated with my partner's contraction of the Noro Virus. Was prescribed two meds that haven't been sent out to the pharmacy. It's been 12+ hours. How am I, 24 weeks pregnant and nauseated, supposed to eat if I can't keep it down? Vomiting is NOT normal for me and having no access to the medication I need is putting my baby and me at risk. Not cool, Lawrence Mediocre Hopsital.

Jennifer Oldridge

every visit has been smooth and easy with a thoughtful staff. although the billing department doesn't seem to ever answer the phone.

My wife has been here dozens of times and we have had many different experiences.Every once in awhile (every fourth or fifth visit), we have a good ER. Dr. and experience. That means 75 - 80 percent of the time we have a poor experience. Main complaint is that Drs. don't listen to the patient. We have tried to set up a protocol with the hospital administration. They said the right things, but never followed through. We still use this hospital because our choices are limited and the convenience. If there was another local alternative, we would have tried it.

Ashley Ikehorn

Worst ER experience ever. How is this an EMERGENCY room but you have to wait forever to be seen. I took my fiancé here and we sat in the ER waiting room for almost 2 hours before we were seen! Of course they took his vitals and all of his info shortly after we got there but after that an uncomfortable two hour wait! Do not waste your time coming here. If you really need seen go somewhere that will actually see you!

Crystal Stude

One of the worst hospitals I have ever been to. They undermine you. Believe they know more than you and are very condescending. They don't like to do much work to get to the root of a problem. If you have a true emergency I would recommend going any where but LMH. My 4 month old son died July 9th 2018 after valuable time was wasted taking him to LMH first instead of straight to Children's Mercy. They were not prepared and it was over there heads. Took my daughter there on 5-7-2019 after she vomited fecal matter. Was told there is nothing wrong with her. All they were willing to do was run labs. Now we are at Children's Mercy with a bowel obstruction. This hospital is a joke!

Kaitlyn Clayton

HORRIBLE SERVICE TO REFERRING PROVIDERS.

Joel Stapleton

Took my 90 year old grandmother here and sat waiting in the ER for a doctor to return. Nearly two hours went by and finally asked a nurse about the wait. The response I got was a very rude and loud "maybe there are people here sicker than her". Yeah when you've had an ailing 90 year old grandmother being told that it's very infuriating. Ready to make a call to Topeka about this hospital.

Jessica Nickel

WENT TO ER AFTER CHILDBIRTH. NEXT TIME WILL NOT SIGN CONSENT TO TREAT. I was taken to LMH for a few complications after giving birth at home, which I absolutely will do every time I give birth. Though, it is safer statistically, things can (gasp!) ... still go wrong! The ER staff berated me, sent off for ridiculous unrelated tests to keep my baby hostage while discharging me 10 hours after losing a liter of blood. Dr. Mercado (OB) is quite a snake, an Dr. Koster (Peds) takes terrible care of his own body. Neither are very bright and both are nasty and condescending. I am a kind, very intelligent woman who exercised her rights to care for her own body during pregnancy and birth as she saw fit. American freedom and liberty? Or no? That pains the egos of the borderline psychopaths that work at LMH. I'LL BUY SOME PITOCIN ON SILK ROAD AND DO IT MYSELF NEXT TIME. :) So that's only part of my story. I'm contacting The Joint Commission today, and if you've been mistreated by a hospital, you should too. If you are interested in the history of Nazi medicine and its influence in US hospitals such as "Lawrence Memorial Hospital" for the last 70 years, look up "Project Paperclip". The implications are far-reaching, and are adversely affecting the people responsible for raising the next generation, to say the very least.

Recently a bad experience at LMH South. Doctor chewed and shouted at me for 15-20 min for seeing other docs. He is the one that referred me I reminded him. Even chewed on me for even seeing his own nurse practitioner...the staff referred me so I could get in to the office quicker. He also does not even remember my name after 6 visits. After his appointment I was admitted to Stormont Vail ER for severe dehydration, vital signs diminishing, electrolytes issues, chest pain, spilling sugar into urine. Previously in the doctor's office he did nothing but scream at me...no medial interventions at all! I see the office visit was billed to Medicare for what reason? I'm 73 with disabilities including cardiac issues. I'd like to know why LMH allows this abuse to happen. I've never received a reply or answer pertaining to this issue. or my questions answered. What kind of hospital does the Administrator/ CEO want? The more questions I ask the staff becomes even more angry. This attitude is pervasive throughout the operation. Thanks for Storment Vail near by...I could have died to be honest. I reported the doctor to the Board of Medial Arts in Topeka, and I'd also like to receive a response to this complaint. This hospital needs a real good cleaning out and hire some competent staff. Your health grades are embarrassing.

Greg Cappel

My wife and I adopted a child who was born at LMH and everyone there was incredible. They were super friendly and knowledgeable. Would recommend.

Waited for 3 hours in the ER waiting room, followed by a 5 minutes rush visit.

Great experience in every way. The Doctors, nurses, dietary staff, and housekeeping were accomodating, compassionate, helpful and informative. We would recommend them to anyone. We are new to the area and very impressed.

If there was time and place for patient zero It be here.

Our family has had 4 visits to LMH ER in the last year. Each time we have excellent care! Three of those visits were then admitted one to ICU two were admitted to 2North. We could not have been more pleased with the care we received!

Hailey

The worst care I've ever experienced. Had a hard time breathing and throwing up and couldn't walk so o went to the LMH emergency room. Waited forty minutes to even get seen and then another twenty to get vital signs checked. Asked for a heated blanket and was just thrown a regular blanket. Didn't even care that I couldn't breath. I've gotten this type of crappy treatment every time I go.

Don Rad

Worst doctor ever. I'm 65 years old and have a lot o doctors. She is horrible. I tell her I have a problem with something and she just looks at me confused, doesn't know what to do. Hundreds of dollars wasted before I got away.

Eurich Garcia

In 3 months they still.dont know.about MH. Still having panic attacks and i told them it doesn't work on me. Doc was stuck thinking everyone is the same and said we will not give me the meds that work. She only cared about my ktrac. FYI I just fired two docs.

Lauren Nus

Horrific Customer Service. I was calling to rectify a billing mistake on their part and the woman told me to either pay it or it'll be sent to collections. It was a mistake made by the hospital. Absolutely no investigation into the problem or problem solving skills. "Well you can not pay it and that is your prerogative but then it will be sent to collections. Have a nice day! " I don't know where they find these people but if you have any questions about billing or your account, you'd be better off going there in person and demanding attention.

Shayla Tuffley

Had a mammogram recently and was treated with kind and compassionate care. Thank you LMH.

Top 100 ER very good

I was in pain more pain than I could of handled Ad they yelp me years ago I'll be heading there today bc of throwing up blood as having chest pain

Mandy Riley

I usually get the Best health care there, But this time was not good at all , I was told I was seeking pain meds, when I just had surgery on the Friday before I went on Sunday the doctor gave pain meds because I had a stent put in my kidney, the pain was so unbeatable I went to the ER and treated like I was a drug addict, witch I am not I was crying and Cleary in pain , then I was told that I took to many pain meds but that wasn't the case , I was given 20 med and I even wote the times I took them and it was supposed to be for 7 days if you take the meds like they are prescribed at 1-2 meds every 6 hours for pain that is only 2 1/2 day worth, The er doctor was very uncaring and Cleary, didn't care , I was given vaulam and noproxin witch i can't have because I was bleeding, I don't think it's fair if you are in pain and you ask for them to help you get the pain you are in under control doesn't mean you are a drug addict, I have never asked any time before for them to help me with pain. Before I felt so bad and when I left there. It's unfair and uncalled for the doctor to treat you like that. But thank God for the surgeon that did the surgery helped the next day so I had to spend the whole night in pain and crying cause the er doctor didn't want to the help or even do the right thing to make sure I was okay even if he would have just kept me over night to help get it under control would have ment so much more. Some of the doctors in the er are amazing this one happen not to be. I feel sorry for anyone that has him as an er doctor cause he has no sympathy for the patient.. Thank you for your time.

Jonathan Herrera-Thomas

Incredible experience in Labor & Delivery. They honored our wishes and knew how to comfort will guiding my wife to a successful delivery. OB/GYN doctors are exceptional. Every interaction with each doctor was thoughtful, empathetic and honest. Thank you for an amazing experience. Truly a great hospital!

INDIGO DISCLOSURE

I have only had bad experiences at this hospital. they ruined my experience of my birthing of my first child, they were very rude to me and had my family stop recording the birthing of my first child. and the ER staff profile and discriminate against people. this hospital is very snooty and unprofessional. its like walking into a highschool and everyone's trying to have a popularity contest with each other among the staff. I hate this hospital. i'd rather drive to Kansas city during an emergency then to ever go to this hospital again!!

Leander Bonner

Diabled veteran. Asked to be transferred to VA for care. Instead they sent me to another hospital. It took months to pay bill. Should have been covered. Great job in delivery of my son. Dr. Mercado is great. Hope she is still there.

Flora Morton-Woods

This hospital is wonderful! Every single person that came to see me, even the doctors, were unbelievably kind, considerate, and very sympathetic. I would recommend this hospital any time! Thank you all for taking such wonderful care! God bless you all!

Leslie Holliday

DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS FACILITY FOR MENTAL HEALTH EMERGENCIES. Your very life will be in peril. They will have you speak with a social worker and send you on your way. This is NOT mental health emergency protocol. For a facility in a community with so many young people, it is truly horrifying.

Lauren Ashley

Always a terrible experience they always send people home not knowing what's wrong with them worth driving somewhere else

C Carter

I have had multiple bad experiences with the hospitalists at LMH. There is one hospitalists in particular that I do not trust his judgement after two near fatal calls by him. I have went as far as to tell my husband that this man cannot treat or be responsible for any member of my family. Unfortunately the last instance was over a holiday weekend & I was told in both the ER & on the floor that this individual was the only hospitalists on duty. Can someone please explain why a 308 bed hospital only has one hospitalists and one social worker per shift on a holiday weekend for the entire hospital? This is ridiculous! I am pretty sure there were more than 15 to 20 patients (which is the recommended # of patients for a hospitalists) on the one floor in which we were dealing.

Jose Castro

Melissa Monroe

I have spent more time then I'd like in hospitals in the last few years. I've spent time here as patient, visitor, and client to out patient PT and Urology. Overall, I've been impressed by a staff that works hard to meet the needs of patients in a timely manner, keep everyone comfortable, and generally be helpful. Sure there is the occasional busy time when you have to wait, a grumpy nurse, or some paperwork nonsense, which is why this isn't a perfect place. The scale leans far to the side of good in this hospital. Heck, check out the gift shop at least--that's top notch.

Leanna Meyers

Terrible experience in some way or another every single time I go there. I only had 2 labor and delivery nurses that were worth anything and honestly my entire labor and delivery experience even with those 2 amazing nurses was complete idiocracy. I wasn't given my medications that I normally take at home because the first nurse "didn't get around to it" in regards to putting it in my chart, the booklet with information and the mandatory videos was never gone over until my day of discharge and was brought to my attention by my lactation nurse, I was told there would be a photographer on site to do newborn photos and there was absolutely no photographer to be found and no one said anything about it until I brought it up and even then couldn't give me a straight answer, a nurse's glove opened up in my open abdominal cavity during my c-section and thankfully my amazing OB/Gyn took care of it immediately, and I was pretty irritated at how strongly they push breastfeeding on you. I then went to the ER a few weeks ago following gall bladder removal in pain and the comments in my discharge papers were "I think you are fine." Not to mention the ER doctor didn't even come back after my xray to speak with me, but instead had the nurse come in and all she said was my blood work came back fine and I'm allowed to go home. I had to ask her if he had said anything or found anything, to which she just read the comments directly off the discharge paperwork. I'm currently filling out an application for financial assistance as well because the billing departments can't seem to do their job correctly, ever. I had anywhere from 2-3 insurance policies throughout my entire pregnancy as well as with the gall bladder removal and they were not put in the system in the correct order, and some not at all, and most of the claims are past the timely filing deadline so there's nothing I can do other than to fill out this application and hope for the best because of their stupidity, incompetence, and negligence. If I could give this hospital 0 stars, I would. I would however, give Dr. Moreano a million stars if I could. At least I have one positive thing to say about the place...

Cassie Nech

I have delivered two babies with Phillip Moreano at LMH and could not have been any happier with the staff, facilities and the Doctor. Everyone was kind, compassionate and helpful.

Scott Colerick-Shinkle

Everyone seems nice enough but at both appointments today they've just left sitting in the exam room for over an hour

Joshua

Hospital is in a very convenient location. They have treated my wife very well their.

Dave Duhaime

Murderers....dont take older people ...they wont come home...

Mark Schumacher in Radiology was very reassuring and sweet to me. He looked me in the eye and smiled and said everything I was experiencing during the CT scan procedure was normal and I believed him. Thanks, Mark!

Lady B

I was born there. Six of my siblings were born there. My four children were born there. My one and only grandson was born there. Our family has utilized many of their available services and I have always been pleased with my experience! From the ER to the cafeteria, I recommend it all!

Nat Ichiro

We've had multiple bad experiences at LMH. They have referred us to other hospitals due to lack of staff or equipment. They have sent bills to wrong addresses several times. They were unable to locate payments that we had made to them although we had email confirmations from them stating the bills were paid and the money was taken from our checking account. On the positive side: The people at the hospital who wanted to take care of my family ,as a whole, have been pleasant. Unfortunately, I can not in any way recommend going to LMH. I am sorry.

Chlo Li

I am seeing a lot of reviews where people feel that their medical care was inadequate and Lawrence Memorial did it because people in handcuffs in Alcoholics got in to see doctors before them but I will tell you one thing triage when appropriately incorrectly done is not based on who is a better person and who is a criminal and who is not triage is it system designed to save the most life possible and not let a single life fall by the wayside okay triage is based on Whose Medical Care is truly most urgent life-threatening cases come first if a person in handcuffs or an alcoholic came in before you it's because their medical condition was far more serious and if you honestly believe that their life is worth less than yours well frankly I do not respect your review but I do respect the care that I have received at Lawrence Memorial Hospital and I appreciate it greatly

Aubrie Wauhob

Bridget Law

I've been a patient here several times. The Oncology Clinic has the most fabulous people and Dr. Stein is my hero. I've been through the emergency room and the people have always treated me with prompt and courteous care. When I go to the hospital this is where I want to be.

Frank A. Westgate

Angels watch over you there and get you home safely

cami gammons

I' am unfortunately a frequent visitor. I' am in constant pain and have had 7 surgeries in my lifetime for the SAME issue. The first 2 times I went here, I was treated well...after that it went down hill and the nurses or P.A.'s are judgmental. They sit in their stations and talk LOUDLY while you can hear patients moaning in pain across the hall but no one checks on them. They had the gall to insinuate that I was seeking pain meds when I already had some prescribed by my regular Dr. The last time I went I had upper right quadrant pain...they did NO tests except urine. I subsequently went to another hospital where I was told that my appendix area was sensitive to touch but blood work was fine and that I need to watch how I feel bc I could be developing appendicitis. Their attitude so so rude last time I went that I' am in process of TRYING to complain to the patient rep who never answers her phone then calls back when Im unavailable.

Mr Salty

If you can go to KU MED in KC at all cost. NEVER GO HERE...

Traci Koebel

Sitting in the ER waiting room for hours, 4 so far for a ROOM. Will never come back.

Amanda Barnhart

Thankful to you urgent care.

Brian Brush

Im from out of state the reviews i read are nothing like what i read i was treated great er staff was awsom

Katherine Anderson

I had gone to LMH to get my leg looked at after taking a hit with a softball. I sat in the waiting room for over an hour and a half, I remember desperately wanting to leave after I reached my diagnosis (it was just a bone bruise), but no one came to discharge me for a half hour so I couldn’t. I actually had to grab someone in order for the discharge process to happen. All they took were X-rays (which is a service that I am happy to pay for). I was giving no pain medication, no other services were performed on me, no doctors even really talked to me while I was sitting there. Just the x-rays. Please explain to me how sitting in a room off to the side warrants $900 (WITH health insurance... it was doubled that without) worth of “Emergency Room” bills, when I received no additional services? I can not believe it. I was there for 1.5–2 hours max (due to their inability to work efficiently, I should have been out of there in a hour AT MOST). How does that cost $900 out of pocket?

Christy Cagle

Very poor customer service! Called to check on my sister's status and was basically given the brush off. I asked for an estimate for how long it would be until she was released only to be told they don't know anything.

I have been to the ER 3 times since moving to Lawrence. Each time they have been wonderfully helpful. People on here complaining about the "unprofessional" I guess I can understand. BUT I also know they are human and the job isn't easy. I was always givin excellent promt care even in a busy time. They always did everything to make an accurate diagnosis and I feel comfortable going there anytime I am sick.

Val Smith

Outstanding care, and superb doctors and support staff!

Benjamin Langston

Incompetent, rude, expensive.

Annabelle Lee

Avoid the ER. The nurses seem to confuse their anatomy, either by ignorance or on purpose, and then run tests for the wrong part of the body to make sure it's not ailing. As a result, your bill grows substantially. The doctors don't seem to know how to use Google, or how to correctly prescribe medication for the diagnosed condition. When I saw a specialist the next day I had to dispose of all the prescribed medication because it wouldn't work for my condition.

Gemi Snow

I was so impressed with this hospital! I had surgery last February, and I received awesome care by awesome people. Keep up the awesome work! <3

My visit was not unexpected but the timeline was rushed. I spent 4 days / 3 nights with the 3rd floor staff. Nicole,Mandy and Adam were so accommodating, letting me do what I could for myself under supervision. Absolutely the best staff.Thank you

Pave Kae

ER is terrible

Stephanie Hershey

This was by far the worst hospital I have ever been to. I received a bill from them and attempted to pay numerous times, including requesting financial assistance to help with paying it. Instead of sending me anything or giving me a chance they decided to SUE me without warning. Thanks for screwing with me Lawrence Memorial Hospital. I will never return here and will tell people I know to never use your services.

Hannah Enke

Worst hospital I had my DNC there and they did not fully get everything out like they where supposed to I got an infection then had to undergo another DNC to get the rest out

My 2 year old was having trouble breathing and was blue, she has asthma and weak immune system. It was late at night and I took her to here. Her oxygen was 50 and they didn't even know how to put in a IV. I Told them to take her to children's mercy. Where she was diagnosed with enterovirus. They did so much better than LMH. LMH has a bad wait times and rude and/or clueless staff.

For a hospital, this place is great. All of the employees that I have interacted with have been pleasant and helpful. The finance department is very helpful in getting you income based assistance. Their online system works well for patient forms and bill pay. I also can't complain about their complimentary flavored water in the front lobby. I get it every time I walk in for my prenatal appointments, which is becoming more regular lately!

Abysmal care. I won't set foot in the ER ever again unless I absoultely could not make it to Topeka or KC. Was misdiagnosed by the ER and my regular doctor was shocked at how "off" they were. They literally almost killed me. Have taken my children there and gotten horrible care as well for them. I won't go in to the long and shocking details but would not take my dead or dying dog there, let alone another human. There is a decent hospital, a research hospital, KU Med over in KC. Please go there if you value your health and life. Not to mention the fact that LMH will upcharge you to over twice what they will at KU Med. Actually, you're better off at ANY other hospital in our region.

Spent two hours and half to get the urine test result.

Er staff very professional and caring.

All the staff I encountered were empathetic and friendly. Wait times we're reasonable, pretty much what you'd expect with any hospital. The parking situation could be better. Would not have an issue going back there if I had to.
