Wonderful. Staff. Great. Care

Sue Parker

My dad went in for vomiting- he's 86 and any bug is worse for him, long story short they gave him too much fluid for dehydration and he lungs filled up with fluid- he never had issues before, had to give him meds to counteract , now he has fluid BEHIND his lung. My mom wanted to transfer him but can't tell the fluid is gone. seem odd they screwed up and now he can't be transferred. Also the nurse actually said" guess we flooded him" Two more people have told me the same thing happened to their family members. We will get to the bottom of this! Wish I could do a - - - - star. I'd be very alert if you take an elderly patient there , even for something simple.

My husband was wrongly diagnosed at another hospital, I took him to Parkview and was immediately told what was wrong with him and they operated. On him. He is in ICU and is receiving excellent care Thank you Parkview for excellent care

The nurses and staff were the friendliest I've ever seen. The doctors managed to do a complicated procedure that saved a family member, so I definitely would vouch for them. The cafeteria was too good, I spent a little more than I should have, but they have sushi, a grill, taqueria, brick oven, salad bar, sandwich bar and prepackaged meals. Gift shop was overpriced, but they did have cold meds, dental hygiene and personal care products. If you need to stay overnight you might need to sleep in a coat, they will provide pillows and blankets, but they also keep the lobbys really cold at night.

By far the worst experience... The staff was so rude, disrespectful, and clearly did not care for there patients. My step father was left sitting in blood for hours, with out even being offered a wet towel. After we asked for something they brought it in put it on the table and walked out my mother had to bathe him. His arms were left unattended and open for a long period of time. No one seemed to have any information or answers and were super rude when asked. The worst part was when we asked where my step father was going to be placed after causing harm to him self they informed us that they weren't sure they were placing him anywhere that they might be sending him home!! Not too mention at one point the nurse said to him "your the one who slit your wrist I'm not sure what you want me to do about it". After a long period of waiting with no answer he was finally sutured up and sent too a facility he had too be send back out too another hospital shortly after arriving to be re-sutured because the stiches were so poorly done. I also work in health care and understand what my step father done was not right but, I also believe that from a health care point of view he was clearly looking for help and they should be there too care for the patient and give them the best care possible and not judge. I just felt that the whole experience was awful and I would not wish that upon anyone!

They gave my father Amazing and exemplary care up until he passed away. I would definitely recommend this hospital and would definitely choose it again if I had to. Thank you to all the staff for keeping my father comfortable until he passed. It meant the world to my family and to my father's friends. I am sure my dad would say he was pleased with the care he received. God bless you guys

I would like to thank the nurses on the 4th floor who cared for my mother this week. Everyone was kind despite her anxiety at being hospitalized and they went above and beyond. She has a very bad experience years ago at the old Parkview and this stay really helped change that experience. The only issue we had was a doctor visit that did not happen the first day which was frustrating but they did apologize for miscommunication between the two specialists and it was fine from there. This is a very nice facility. Thank you again.

kaylynn enyart

One nurse wasent the nicest, but all the other nurses were.

This review is based only on my only one bad time. Overall since I started my cancer treatment experience I've had nothing but exceptional care. But I had an awful experience on July 20th 2017. I made sure to come early to get home early 10:30am. Was told nothing was on schedule. Was on my way home only to be called right back. Spent till ~6:30pm. There was a lack of a driver (my fault) one was on her way still couldn't start my treatment. I wish that particular nurse had more faith on my word. I still prefer this hospital. Just wish for more trust on my part as a patient.

Just released a few days ago after a heart scare, pain in my chest and left jaw area. Was very pleased with the care, the nurses and staff and of course the doctors.I would urge anyone that needs medical care go to Parkview hospital they treat people with respect, show an interest in their patients and answer all your questions about your care.RATED A ++++

I drive from Michigan just to go to this hospital. I’m actually currently pregnant & I’m going to have my baby at Parkview in Kendallville, IN. They have been nothing , but helpful & supportive . I highly recommend them to everyone.

As a visitor of a friend who spent 4 days at Parkview, I was impressed with the care from the nurses/medical team and her comfortable, spacious room. A beautiful campus with plentiful parking, a large gift shop and the cafeteria offered lots of options.

These people need to be called out. Talk about medical negligence. I come to the ER because I am losing my eyesight. They gave me a lumbar puncture, which proved my diagnosis. I was then told, by the doctor, that I'd get into a neurologist right away, yet, I had to wait until September to get in (with the extra CSF building up in my brain, I would've gone blind). Not only that, I was then discharged with the WRONG medication!!!! I told the PA that I didn't need something for my headache, I never once said I had a headache, I needed something for the extra spinal fluid filling up in my brain. He didn't listen and discharged me with medicine that wouldn't even drain any of the extra CSF. I then go back to the ER (it's the weekend mind you), because I am going blind. I am the last one to be called in and the PA finally sees me, and asks very rudely, "What do you us to do for you?" Like I was crazy coming back. I told her I needed the right medication (I told her what I needed) because without it, I'd go blind. I told her I was discharged with the wrong medication. She then got very defensive because she didn't know anything about this rare disease. She gets the doctor. This is where the doctor WAS NEGLIGENT. He comes in telling me, "We can't help you here, you need to go to Ohio, they are the only ones who can help you, but my PA had a great idea and wants to give you the right medication." All of a sudden he offers me the right medication that I was begging for since the day before and made it sound like it was the PA's idea. Lol. The nurse then walks in and says, "So, I hear you need surgery?" I said, "What? Surgery? What for?" She goes, "Oh, let me check." Turns out the doctor said I needed surgery for my eyes and I'd need to get it in Ohio. I then ask the nurse, "Since I need surgery and he told me I need to be seen on Ohio, can he give me a referral to Ohio so I can save my eyesight? I am begging you." She then goes, "Oh, that would make sense, let me check." She comes back five minutes later in shock and says, "They won't write you a referral." On my ER records, the PA then said surgery isn't needed at this time, without even looking at my eyes and seeing what grade of optic nerve swelling I had. Was she serious? Please tell me this was a slip up and the PA knew better then to come to rash conclusions without even know my grade of optic nerve swelling.... I am a 25 year old woman, about to go to a top 20 law school in the nation, with a life ahead of me, and no doctor in this ER would lift a finger to help me. Please imagine how this felt. Losing my sight, and waiting for the neurologists appointment in a few months wasn't an option for me. I went to the ER at Ohio Wexner that Monday. I lied and said I was referred to them from Parkview. They right away knew how serious my condition was. They referred me to a neuro-opthlamologist (NO) who had a 6 month waiting list and already started talking to him about what to do to help me that day. They also referred me to neurosurgery. They corrected my pills and dosage, which ultimately, saved me from needing neurosurgery and saved my eyesight. When I told this NO that I was discharged with 10 grams of Topomax the first time I went to the ER, he was astonished and upset that these people would put me in such danger. Not only that, my grade of optic nerve swelling was so severe that I needed extremely high doses of Diamox. My point is, don't act like I'm a drug seeker because I have a rare disease (I actually have a graduate degree and am going for my second), don't give me the wrong medication, it wouldn't have hurt the doctor to refer me to the actual place which could save my eyesight. Why was I treated like this when I was scared/needed help? Why did these people act with such negligence? I am still, to this day, stunned. The top doctors who review my case are continually stunned. Also, my MRI was read wrong, months before I had a MRI done at Parkview. The radiologist said my MRI of the brain was GREAT! Turns out, U of I said it showed extremely high pressure. NEGLIGENT!

Richard Offhaus

My wife and I were in a serious auto accident outside Ft. Wayne 200 miles from home and were taken to the ER. We each received a thorough exam and tests to ensure we had no serious injuries. I was released the same day and my wife stayed overnight for observation. We received wonderful treatment by the entire staff. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

This has been the worst hospital experience I've ever had. My daughter went through an amputation at ParkView Regional medical center 11109 parkview plaza drive In Fort Wayne five days ago and they're already Shipping her off to rehab. They don't care about people, they've withheld medication even though the doctor recommends the medication. Nurses are doing whatever they want. Protocols are not followed, and nurses act like they're the doctors. Where is the compassion, the oath you took to serve these patients and to save lives. Her blood pressure 168/128 in pain almost stroking out and the nurse said that she would play it hour by hour. Not to give her medicine to bring the blood pressure down but to play it hour by hour. Can you tell me who gave this girl her license, cause it need to be revoked.

Jeff Finfrock

The best hospital, by far, of all hospitals I've ever been in, even above O.S.U. Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

Tanya Hall

I like it....but some of the Nurse's are just RUDE an some are just inconsiderate. my boyfriend is in the hospital now and he's having trouble breathing and has seizures in the doctors are doing nothing to help him breathe

Margaret Gernhardt

I love this hospital. They have great staff. The nurses there are great when my daughter was there they took great care of her. Our doctor id nice there. Love Parkview North and Parkview Randallia. Thank you

Matt Kline

Took excellent care of my parents !!! Awesome staff :)

Connor Fox

Ridiculous to be led to the wrong place 3 times and almost miss my appointment just because nobody there actually knows where to go. Find out where you need to be long before because the staff sure as hell won’t know.

Walston Tim

Most professional kind and helpful staff in the very dept I’ve been to highly recommend

Potato Queen

I had my daughter here. Overall it was a pretty good experience. My biggest compaints wasn't something they could control, so i dont blame them at all. The one thing you NEED to pay attention to is if you have any food allergies or restrictions. I can't eat cheese, but they added it to dishes a couple times after i had asked them not to. Its a busy place so its not shocking, so just be sure to check all food before the staff member leaves. Overall the place seemed clean and the nurses were friendly.

Christopher Ananias

If you are a photographer taking pictures they will call security. I took a friend to Parkview. Waiting for him I strolled around the grounds attempting pictures of wildlife. This huge industrial type medical complex has displaced a variety of plants and animals, but across the street it looked promising. On my way back they called the cops on me, because an Eric in marketing doesn't like people taking pictures. What are they hiding? Your guess is as good as mine? I thought we could take pictures in the USA. If you like taking pictures of wildlife like I do. Do not go there because they made me feel like a criminal when I was just enjoying nature.

Sylvia Corona

I have been hospitalized quit a bit lately. I always go to Parkview Regional Medical Center. My stay there is great. I hear people complaining all the time about this hospital. But the nurses and staff are really good with the patient there. There are even certain nurses that went above and beyond their own duties. People complain about the emergency room. But they need to remember it is a EMERGENCEY ROOM! and that more urgent patient WILL BE SEEN FIRST OF COURSE. Nurses and Doctors are human and can only go as fast as they can. But I'm sure the Parkview Regional Medical Center will be getting even better. I would always be grateful and thankful to the Nurses and Doctors of Parkview Regional Medical Center.

Rebecca Fulton

The Staff are Amazing and really show that they care about everyone we need more of this in the world for sure!!!! They took great care of me with the surgeries I've had there I would recommend to anyone for sure!!!

Worst hospital I have ever been too... nurses made fun of my disabilities,an were rude and threatening toward myself and my husband... no doctor ever came in and talked to me or my husband... I was stabbed with needles over 40 times leaving my arms bruised from shoulders to knuckles ( which now leaves me with shotting pain in my arms..possible never damage)... after waking up from being sedated constantly finding bruises all over my body that were not there when I went in an no explination... I was left to lay in my own Feces for hrs till my husband arrived and demanded they clean me up...nurse bunched me in the chest three times trying wake me up when I tried to defend myself by pushing her hand away she bent my arm over the bed rail causing a huge gash an bruise on my arm...I was never offered any food.. my husband had to go out of hospital to get me food...there is so much more that happened in three days I was there...it was horrifying and has add more trauma to my medical ptsd..I filled a complaint with them and nothing was done but a letter sent to me stating we're sorry for your experience... what a crook of s@#t...I would never recommend this hospital or any of parkview hospitals to anyone

Marlena Joslyn

Friendly, courteous, professional, attentive and caring.

Gina Frankart

Happy Person

This 1 Star isn’t for the staff, it’s for the greedy owners. Pay your staff more and you will get more. Of course you don’t work 17 hours a day.. but expect the nursing staff to. Some of the nurses are over the top friendly and caring. Most of them are sorry, sad people that should be working at Walmart.

Diane York

My elderly father had a recent stay. Nurse named Angel 4th floor.. very rude. No call back from caseworker Elizabeth. Luthern hospital has been a much better experience. Take your family elsewhere...my father said he doesn't ever want to go back.

No Name

Dysfunctional hospital being run by average Joe businessmen. Doctors are great though. Sad that medicine has become corporatized.

Michael Jones

If they cared more about your health than worrying about food issues, than they might be good and get a better rating. We have been here several times for months straight, and still can't figure out what is causing the problem. They never give your medication that you need to survive, and they are always on their phones. Call lights can be on for twenty minutes at a time, and nurses are just sitting at their desk laughing away. This place is a complete joke!!! If you love your family or friends and care about their overall well being, I suggest taking them to some where else.

Joann Hart

During my mother's 1 month stay at this hospital, we had a few nurses who were exceptional. Overall though, it was a nightmare and we will never choose to go to a Parkview facility again. If you have a choice of hopsitals, choose anywhere but here. Giving 2 stars over 1 because of the amazing food court.

Drexel hall

Great nursing staff!

Christal Buse

Jason Johnson

Fast er response time. Compassionate, caring. All hospitals in Fort Wayne are just as good!

Justin Burnett

Really nice hospital with an amazing cafeteria!

Doug Holbrook

I have been here since 7/20 and today is 7/24. While the ER wait was a bit long, the care I have received is absolutely unbeatable. The 6th floor staff has been more than accommodating, a special thank you to Pam & Ben who consistently helped me with everything I needed and then some. I will never go to another hospital if I am given a choice. The service here is nothing short of perfect!

Brock

Nurses are great...

Darlene Cruz

Never met a rude person here.I came in through the ER,had surgery and stayed 4 days.I then went back a couple weeks later for an outpatient surgery.I found the staff cheerful, helpful and compassionate. The nurses worked hard to make sure I was stable and comfortable. The doctors I encountered were well schooled.Dr.Nic Kiehl did both my surgeries and followed my care afterwards.I can't say enough good things about him.My anesthesiologist Dr.K.Porter was very respectful and kind.He eased my nerves before surgery and made me feel safe.Im very glad I ended up here.Ty to everyone I encountered for making my stay and aftercare a great experience!!!

Gretchen Lentz

Staff and Doctors were absolutely amazing!!!

Brenda Lewis

ER took quick action as needed.

Jennifer Abbett

Ridiculous. Have been here for 3.5 hours waiting on cardiologist. Was just informed that "they come on their own time ". In the meantime your loved ones are crying from pain and begging you to help. E R dr was in to see us once 3 hours ago.

Matt Bosserman

The nurses and doctors are considerate, have taken the time to explain issues and discuss options. I am very pleased with the care and the dedication the people here have shown.

Susan Wensil

My mother in law stayed in the hospital due to a collapsed lung. She was treated and cared for by competent and accommodating staff in a clean state of the art facility. 5 stars due to the following: 1. Hospital is brand new, clean, the rooms are comfortable for patient and their families. 2. Staff are friendly, professional, accommodating to patients. 3. Meals are selected by patient from a menu and delivered when the individual patient is ready to eat.

Helen Hughes

My grandson recently had a bicycle accident that involved having emergency surgery for a brain bleed. The care and quick action he received was tremendous. It was a scary situation that could have gotten much worse had it not been for the love and care that was given to him, his parents and his grandparents. I cannot describe how much we were made to feel like we were family to all that worked there. Thank you for your professionalism , constant care and direction you bestowed. May God bless each and everyone of you with His grace.

The nurses and doctors of SICU and the Cardiac unit saved my life. They are the best and I will never forget them. Suzanne Leggett-Smith

TimmDaBomB

My grandma had to stay here for half a month due to a harsh virus which could have killed her if it wasn't for this amazing hospital! Took great care of my grandma and after visiting her everyday we'd eat here at one of the best cafés around! Don't go to Dupont or Lutheran Hospitals when you could go here. Amazing park is located near here too If you need to go to a hospital, go here!

I'm thankful to the ER Doctor that saved my life. I found it interesting that they have 20 robots working at this hospital. Also the echo of the heart is coming in 3d soon. Technology was cool to learn about granted I was there to recover. Thankful for the Doctors and Nurses. The Doctors are Gods handy man and the Nurses are Gods Angels. God speed and God Bless!

I am sometimes a tough critic but this hospital has outstanding patient care. A very clean facility the cafeteria had great food, all the staff were helpful and easy to talk to and the Dr that took care of my son was willing to listen, answer, and suggest good things. Very accommodating facility.

Andrea Stepp

Its a hospital not necessarily a place I want to be at.

Teresa Eiting

My name is Teresa West and I just want to say that my husband Jon West was taken care of very well at this facility. A special thanks goes out to the nurses and staff on the fourth floor heart institute and also nurses and staff on the seventh floor and last but not least the emergency room staff. Thank you all for your deep concern for my husbands health and well being. you all know who you are!

The Parkview Regional Hospital multi-bistro food court is not only the best hospital food that anyone's ever had, but it is actually, the BEST place in the whole town to eat! They have gourmet, healthy food that tastes amazing and is made right in front of you! There are also pre-packaged foods to take with you for snacks and meals later. They have a pasta bar with stir-fried options, a grilled sandwich shop, a brick oven Pizza center, an additional Pasta Bar, a Mexican Tequira, a Sushi bar, a Soup counter, a world-class Gourmet dessert section, and several refrigerated areas of Healthy Choice drinks, sides and additional sandwiches. Their eating area is beautifully modern and is always clean. The best part is that it's open 24/7!!

Cindy Lucas

my adult son is currently at parkview for brain injury, he is in icu and was on a ventilator and now on a trach and feeding tube, he has gotten excellent care, all the nurses and therapists are kind and do such a great job, thank god for these people!! they are the best.

waldo Virto

Best Hospital that I've been in... ..... All of the staff are pretty nice.... Really good with there jobs... I don't like to b in a hospital but these 1 makes me what to b here lol.....

Patricia Thaxton

It's great, getting older and this makes it so easy

HEATHER BEAM

My husband has been a patient there 5 times this year alone (2015) and has had excellent care each and every time...whether at the Heart Institute or on the med-surg floors. I, and he, would recommend Parkview to anyone who needed hospitalization. If there is any complaint, it would be that not all the food is good served in the rooms...but who has ever been in a hospital that had good food all the time?

Karin Hollenback

Great hospital and staff, but don't ask for medical records and don't fax the request. Nobody has it, nobody knows about it, waited over 2 months and was just told it would be available in 30 days. Again, no reflection on the hospital or staff, but the records department needs to figure our where their after hour faxes go, as personal information was sent and NOBODY knows where it went....not good for HIPPA

Shelby Rose

Not cool

Missy Francis

Amazing nursing staff on the 5th floor both times I had a surgery this year!

Shawn Dunakin

No communication have 3 Doctors. The change and do orders with out talking. One wants feeding tube one wants me to eat. I have waited over 2 hours 2 times for pain meds. That in itself is so sad. Confronted nurse about it in which she said she never got the message. Had to have a x ray for feeding tube to be put in my nose. Two hours before they sent me I asked to sedation in which I had a order for. I told both Dr and nurse Im can't do it unless you can help me. The nurse assured me of sedation that I didn't need my ordered pill. Guess what happened? Yes I go to x ray for feeding tube. Ask where is my sedation. The lady looked at me like I lost my mind. So now Im on my 5th day no food. And they put on my chart I refused. Hmmm would I refuse if they would have done their job???? Really not cool. I could go on and on but why. If you need hospital care please please choose another hospital who sees you as a person rather than a job.. The only reason I have not pulled my plug and left is i can't afford to pay for the stay. Im trapped and stuck in one of the worst hospitals I have ever been too. Pray I make it out of here and home to my kids..

Michael Meisener

I'm mixed between Lutheran hospital and here. But if I was going to stay a while the food is better here

Love this hospital and everything Parkview Health stands for. They took excellent care of my husband at the ER after an auto accident. He is not used to anything medical and they were patient with him and cared greatly for him during his short stay there.

Ashley Ryan

I was in the hospital for a week in March following my second stroke. I had really bad double vision and they had an alarm on my bed so I have to contact them to go to the bathroom. Everyone was so nice! Im not from Ft. Wayne and was lifted to Parkview and I couldn't be more pleased. I also still see a few doctors from Parkview! In still seeing double but every doctor I've seen is trying to get to the very bottom of why this continues to happen to a girl so young. We will see!

Amy Becker

2 years ago my daddy had pancreatic cancer and was in here for over a week due to throwing blood clots. He was taken care of with some amazing staff, From housekeeping to Dr's. We lost our youngest son to suicide on October 27th 2016. The Chaplain and Dr's were extremely kind and patient with us. They stayed with us and comforted us as best they could. Now my Uncle is in due to strokes. I've yet to encounter anyone with a bad attitude. So far everyone is great with him. Thank you ALL very much for doing what you do, I was in nursing for almost 20 years and the small Thank you goes a long way.

12/25/18 Went in to the ER for the 5th time in a month with lower abdominal pain. I was sent to the observation area for a 23 hours. I spent 3 days in this area seeing countless doctors. Hospitalist changed every 12 hours and so did my medication. They finally decided to do a colonoscopy so I did the prep and they found that I had c-dif. They never did the colonoscopy. Decided they had found the problem, but the pain was still there and not improving. They took away all pain medication except for 1 percocet every 12 hours. My pain was still a 9 out of 10. Saw pain management NP who said that they don't treat c-dif patients. Asked many times why my pain was not getting better, no answer. When they decided to discharge me they only gave me pain medication for a few days at 1 pill per 12 hours. We asked to see patient advocate who arrived and gathered 3 doctors who all came into my room and inferred that I was an addict while patient advocate said nothing. The patient advocate only made the situation worse! The hospitalist called me and my husband a child for getting upset about my treatment. We left and have not returned to this hospital. Now we get a bill from the doctors, still haven't seen one from the hospital, 2 of the doctors coded differently than the 5 others so my insurance wont pay them. Called patient advocate they put it under review and 3 months later I get a letter saying to bad so sad pay us. Wow! Your patient advocates are a joke! Only there to help you save face definitely don't care about the patient. I like parkview, but as for parkview north ER and hospital no thanks. Wont be returning to them. I went out to parkview Whitley county and had surgery just because of this situation. Guess what pain wasn't because of c-dif it was from another medical issue. Great job parkview north for making me feel like a piece of dirt and being completely indifferent to my pain. I am still suffering and am working with way better doctors to find a solution.

Great service

It is my belief that both Parkview Randalia and PRMC records and radiology imaging systems are compromised. Either due to malware, or pure ignorance. It has been confirmed, at least personally, that records have been "shuffled" and are not of the correct patients. This includes imaging and pathology reports. Trying to work with staff to correct this issue gets you nowhere. They simply trust their own corruption. All patients need to request and verify their records. It is also important to know, these people use a myriad of games to hide information. Hospital records, radiology imaging, lab reports, "significant events" and other records are all independent of one another. They must all be requested separately. They use "third party" loopholes to cover up their corruption. Be very careful with these people. They do not know you, nor do they care. They trust what their systems tell them, and their systems have been compromised.

I had sugar diabetes during my two pregnancies. That I control when I was pregnant with both my children. The doctor I was seeing insisted I have an c- sections. I end up with two c- section. My third pregnancy I had a ectopic pregnancy. I went to the ER with serve pain. I was told I had a ectopic pregnancy. Few tests latter. I was told I can keep my ovary but I will lose my one tubes. After surgery I was told I lost both my ovary and my tube. The doctor performing my surgery. Told me during one of my c-sections one of the doctor's scar my tubes. I am pregnant again and I am afraid loosing another ovary if I get pregnant again. Causing me to go into menopause in my thirties!

They say stress is not a good thing. My experience at this hospital was just that stress. They said the doctor would be by to speak with us some time. No not once all day. They had my mom on a no eat and drink diet, yet they put her in a room where people where eating. RUDE.

Discharged from the ER after they did absolutely nothing, no xrays, no examination, absolutely nothing. Complained of severe leg pain, given a shot of muscle relaxer, treated like a drug addict looking for a fix and sent on my way. 2 days later, Dupont hospital takes xrays, does an MRI and takes me into surgery almost immediately because I had ruptured a disc that was digging into my spinal cord and causing my leg to be useless. So what Parkview dismissed as nothing turned out to be a severe injury that could've caused even worse problems than I'm already facing after having spinal surgery. 0/10 would never recommend after the way I was treated when I had a serious injury but they couldn't be bothered with even examining me.

I have been there several times....for the most part.....I have had a positive experience but when you are about to have surgery they have 4, sometimes 5 people you see before going in.....it seems like they figure the more people you see the more they can charge....they need to make you vist more personable and not so overwhelming!

Absolutely love this Hospital, the staff, and the care they give! great customer service and they work with everyone from all walks of life! I would choose this hospital over any other in Fort Wayne! You will get top of the line care and everyone really takes care of your needs!

At the end of August I spent 5 hours in the ER. Only saw the doctor for around 15 minutes and they ran minimal testing . Diagnosed with a miscarriage and discharged even though I tried to tell the doctor that something was really wrong. 2 days later ended up back in the ER (Doupont this time) only to be told I was in fact experiencing a tubal pregnancy, my tube had burst 2-3 weeks prior, and I was close to bleeding out. I had to have emergency surgery because I almost died due to the care I received at Parkview. They will never have my business again. I’m now stuck with an $800 emergency room bill for care that almost killed me. It’s unbelievable.

Always slow! Also a lot of nurses like to violate HIPAA policy and talk about what's going on in other rooms with people. Common sense says if you have to use a double room you shouldn't put 2 people with the same first name and same medical condition in there together. My daughter was admitted and had to do breathing treatments while there and that is when I discovered that the hospital needs to train their respiratory therapists better. I ask many times for them to not chase my daughter with the nebulizer mask and to hold her instead, I even volunteered to hold her but they kept saying she is fine. Not fine. She was scared and they wasn't making it better. Lastly it's hard enough to sleep with a baby at the hospital cause of all the alarms and staff coming in and out that if their both actually asleep how about people not come in and wake us between 5am and 6am just ask if I want my daughter to participate in some skin research thing!!! Leave people alone.

The staff is amazing they sure know how to take care of my son that has Epilepsy and how to calm a mother's nerves and reassure me and know that he well taken care of. Parkview Neuro is the best.

My grandson needed an MRI with sedation, and the staff was amazing in taking care of him as well as the rest of the family. Especially his mom, she was more upset than the pt.

My husband fell ill last December, after an ER visit to Whitley Parkview (not part of this review-that's another story) he was referred to Hematology Dept. and was told he had advanced stage of acute leukemia. The hospital/ doctors/nurses/advocates ALL were wonderful, helped us process paperwork and get through his hospitalization and continued chemo. It was honestly sad to leave on the last day- they were all phenomenal people. I highly recommend them.

Our son and Dil was in trauma ICU and they are so rude. Don't offer anything kind to say when your child is injured, just you can't do this you can't do that. Don't offer sympathy, drinks, details. You sit in room and listen to nurses complaining about patients out at the desk. I'm sorry but for someone's loved one to be in trauma they are very sincere in pretending to not care about family and there needs also.

Rhonda Tyner

Dealt with this place along time. No major complaints from me.

Nicole Foster

I’ve been to a lot of hospitals with my family. Parkview, DuPont, Lutheran, Riley, Saint Vincent and Saint Joe. Parkview is hands down the best in this region.

Angel Villalobos

The most expensive hospital I have ever been too. If you make good money and have insurance than they really get you. Lesson learned

More like a 5 star hotel with medical care! I delivered my son here two months ago, and have been Admitted a couple of times since for complications unrelated to the facility or care. They are wonderful, prompt, thorough, and efficient.

Shaun Reincke

Horrible wait don't care about you.

john dunn

Great place to visit.

The ER is entirely too slow. This is coming from a person who lived in Chicago her entire life and knows how slow a large city hospital can be. We waited so long while I was having a gallstone attack that we left and drive down the street to Dupont.

My dad was at this hospital about 10 days at this hospital. Nurses on the 7th floor was great. Then he was move to the 2nd floor. The nurses on the 2nd was fair. My dad was not like the nurses on the 2nd floor.

Abby Rice

I had a significant heart attack and they saved my life.

John Rheinheimer

I just got released from this facility after having an extensive back operation and spending a few days inpatient. This is the best experience I have ever had at any hospital. I rarely had to use the call button because they were always making sure I was doing fine. The entire staff was extremely courteous and I could not have asked for a better experience.

Guy at the front desk in section 7 of the hospital was completely rude!!!!!

Tim Durnell

Just ate at the cafeteria. Believe it or not, it's great! Try the salad.

James Sands

I had to come here once for a medical problem and the staff was very nice and helpfull. I like how they didn't give me an attitude like most hospitals. I did have to wait about an hour to be seen but I understand since I wasn't a life threatening patient
