Doctors and nurses are excellent. The cafeteria and janitorial co they use are horrible. Bathroom in my mothers room was filthy. Food was missing items that she ordered. Whoever runs this hospital needs to be fired.

I had a kidney infection and went to the ER. I went on a saturday night around 10:30pm. The wait was ridiculous. We waited for like 3-4 hours and we finally just left. I was in so much pain that I wanted to cry. We came back to the hospital the next morning after being woken up by the excruciating pain. There was not that many patients and we were seen 20 minutes after arriving. The staff was very nice and caring. Dr. Magee was very helpful and his nurses were as well. They made the pain go away and they even did a follow up call to see if I was feeling better. Besides the wait I would definitely come back.

I absolutely love Methodist. I’m always treated great and the doctors always run every test imaginable to figure out what’s best for me . The last time I went the emergency room Dr was such a gentle soul. I had been crying all day and he was a breath of fresh air. I wish I could remember his name so I could thank him. Honestly, I would love to thank everyone there that I have ever came into contact with. Truly the best hospital around!

i didn't go to this hospital my mom did they refused kemo but made her get a surgery for kemo that she never use because they killed her before she got that far. she was stage 4 cancer and they told us it would be ok if they gave her this surgery they could save her. they never told the family she was stage 4.. she died 3 months after this hospital got a hold of her. they burned her throat with radation and she never ate again. The company billing department is very rude. My number was on someone else bill and i never been to that hospital yet they wanted to argue with me that i know the person and i needed to give them the persons number. When i mentioned a lawyer they had nerve to ask if the lawyer was representing the person they were looking for too. I would NOT recommend any one to go to this hospital !!!! if i could rate it negitive i would..

The slowest hospital i have ever been too i mean and no patient friendly at all... prisoners from jail here go before people bleeding in the waiting room its just nuts.... a child hit in the head with a baseball waiting just not what it used to be

My dad spent time here twice in the past two years. He needed a lot of tests both times, and for some reason, the hospital only did one test a day. Sometimes a planned test was canceled unexpectedly so an entire day would pass without any tests being done at all. It took days longer than they originally said to get him moved to the rehab floor. It’s like they were tying to stretch out his stay at the hospital. And every day he spent just hanging out in the hospital waiting for tests, he got weaker and weaker. Also, they forgot to feed him twice.

Great staff and administration team. Clean rooms, prompt service, kind nurses but Doctors can use a bit work on prompt meds especially for pain. But other then dat great people. Pharmacy is absolutely TERRIFIC!!! THANK U

Had my baby here on June 7th wonderful staff, not only did they take care of me and my baby they went above what I believe other hospital would of for me and my health..thank you to all the nurses on the labor and delivery floor. Your the best....thanks

The ONLY reason i am giving this hospital 3 stars is because my grandma was in here for surgery a couple weeks ago , and they did AMAZING and they were very nice with her and she is recovering very well. On the other hand though , i took my mother to the ER a couple days ago because she wasn’t feeling very well. The ER staff was VERY slow and leisurely with their time , (there wasn’t very many people in the waiting room to have to be waiting that long) we were waiting in the waiting room for almost 4 hours. Also , my mom started throwing up in the bathroom and i told one of the ladies who was working there what was going on , and she did nothing and left the throw up on the floor.

My mom had surgery on her gallbladder, she was suppose to have surgery at about 12:30, got there at 12. They finally operated on her at 4:30. After surgery the doctor never came out to talk to us. My family was sitting in the waiting room from 12- 7: without hearing anything. The nurses are nice but they could have shown some more respect.

I had surgery and you can not even get message to doctor if you have a question. One surgeon did my surgery and was quite nice but he relocated to Illinois right after my surgery. I had a question and can not even get in touch with surgeon I was transferred to. This was my first surgery and I had a couple of questions.

Thank you to the amazing doctors, nurses, and support staff at Methodist Southlake. Not only did I receive excellent medical care but they treated me with the upmost compassion and kindness. This personal level of treatment supported my recovery by helping me to keep a positive attitude during my time in the ER, ICU and IMCU. They made me feel important and that they were invested in seeing me get better as a friend or family member, not just a patient.

There is nobody in the lobby and we have been in the e.r. waiting room for over two hours. The lobby is dirty and people are coming in and out just hanging out. I hate this hospital and will never come here ever again.

My Father-in-law was a patient in ICU for about 8 days before he passed. I cannot express how grateful the entire Zale Family is for the care, compassion, and above all knowledge. As a former Critical Care Nurse, I can vouch for the expertise of the aiCU Team (doctors/nurses/ and entire multidisciplinary team).

Though some of the reviews say the wouldn't awnser questions, I disagree. My mother is in Methodist and I am VERY impressed the staff is VERY attentive and being in the nursing field as well, they are MORE than happy to awnser any and all questions Dr. Patel and Dr.Dave (cardiologist) are by far the best doctors I have ever encountered their bedside manners are amazing and they are more than happy to awnser any and all questions. The nursing staff are very attentive I placed her call light on about 2pm and with in 2 minutes I had a nurse and an aide standing in tye door asking what theu could do. Most hospitals make you leave at a certin time but they have allowed me to stay the night with her when I knew I wouldn't sleep at home anyways. The only complaint is Dr.Lee if you recieve her as a Pulmonary doctor REQUEST A DIFFRENT DOCTOR I will by my mother in the morning. She is RUDE and does NOT want to awnser questions I will be lodging a complaint with tye hospital administrator come moring as she was already fired from another hospital. I will continue to place my full faith in tye nurses and most of the doctors here at Methodist and will come here mysepf and bring my mother back ANYTIME we ever need emergency care again.

I was bought to Methodist in Merrillville on 6/21/2019. While I was somewhat frightened with my condition, I was made very comfortable starting in the ER. The ER doc and nurses were great. My experience continued on 5th floor room 5211. The nurses on all three shifts were 2nd to none. They were kind, concerned and very attentive. I want to thank you all for showing love to a stranger.

Worst er in the area. Brought my husband in for a few stitches on his hand. The dr was about 900 years old, and they didn’t make it to the parking lot. Came in because I had an abnormal ultrasound, only to find out I was having a miscarriage after about 6 hours of waiting to see someone. No information beyond that, no follow up instructions or anything. Was basically told to have a nice day and sent on my way. Today’s visit is brought to us by a cut by my son’s eye. 2 hours of waiting to be put into a room at 9:30 at night with ONE person in front of us. Not one person in the waiting room. One person on the patient list. Wonder how their board of directors feels about situations like this....

The nuses are sneaky at this hospital my nuse gave me the wrong medicine and then put in my chart that she gave me the right medicine she drop someone else medicine on the floor in my room and the charge nurse covered for her If you have a sick family member stay with them at the hospital this nuses have will kill your family member..trust no one and watch everyone all they care about is money and the will take you like or cause you to be sicker thought surgery just so they can get paid. They don't care about you at this hospital..be careful and keep your eyes and ears open

The lady in the Emergency room was very rude, I think she went above and beyond to be rude! The register in the ER was just as rude. I had to tell her twice to change the contact info for my husband. Didn't happen. I had to tell the nurse who took my husband for his test and that is where things we're fixed. Thanks to the nurse in the X-ray Cath Lab. Wish everyone here at this hospital was just like her.

The labor and delivery nurses are absolutely fantastic! Each one of the nurses were caring, kind and efficient, going out of their way to make be feel cared for and comfortable. They explained each step, rallied for my natural birth and helped me through the miracle. They are the true rock stars that aren't celebrated enough for their important work. I feel so lucky to have delivered there and was brought to tears so many times of how they treated me like a million bucks (could be the hormones too, but these ladies are phenomenal)! They were kind to my family, encouraging to the process and eased my concerns with calm care and advice. Thank you, I genuinely appreciate each one of you that contributed to my experience into mommyhood!

Terrible 2nd floor ICU let my mother sugar dropped to 12 with no follow up and my mother slipped into diabetic coma. She was neglected to the point that she was laying in her feces and urine and had burn marks from her backside all the way around to her private area and down her thighs, she looked like a burned patient. Nurses became confrontational reported over and over. And instead of taking care of the situations they transfered her to the 5th floor Icu. Then after 4 days she was transferred to regular room 5th floor baddddd care again. Then after I complained about that floor she was transferred to 4th where it is when I was told a shown that my mother had a bed sore so big 13×8 by 13x8 I was devasted. This place needs to have more focus on the care of people then their friends that are neglected and abusing people.

My experience was awful. They didn't even have a real doctor seeing patients, just a very young Physician's Assistant, Vincent Lam, with very bad bedside manners who will forever work in a dump hospital like this one because no actual hospital lime Franciscan in Munster, would hire someone like that. Unfortunately, I'm new to state and didn't realize this was a crappy hospital that was more geared toward uninsured poverty level people.

I have literally been here at this hospital since 9:37am and it is now 12:18pm and still haven’t seen a doctor.... this is ridiculous sat in lobby for 2 hours before called to the back....and been sitting in room and not a nurse or doctor has been in here to even see what the issue is .... this hospital needs to do better

They have the best ICU in NWI. My father's life was on the line and he was not even expected to be alive he had a 5% chance to survive his heart stopped 4 times and each time they brought him back. This staff is so wonderful they saved my father's life we all thought it was over thank you so much God bless you.

This hospital has the worst administrative staff and nursing staff of any hospital that I've seen so far (and there have been a lot). Stay away from here. They are rude and won't answer any questions. Then they duck away from answering any questions.

Hello, I'm a cancer patient and had to be admitted to the hospital. For my stay I can truly say. I experienced "Royal Treatment". Everyone was very professional and they made me feel very well cared for and safe. Keep up the awesome service.

If I can give this hospital zero stars I would.! They are absolutely horrible with time I’ve been in their waiting area for 2 hours in excruciating pain and I’m still in the waiting room.! And this is like this every time I come here. I hate them I hate their service and I will no longer come to this hospital I’ll drive out of my way to go to Chicago before I come here again.!

On February 19 I had a total hip replacement done, I must say from being to the end the care that I receive was very good,everything was explained Exceptionally well everyone that was involved in this Procedure I met. Dr Shah team was Awesome, now I am working with therapy team very nice group as well I am looking to working hard in order to get back be my old self. Not easy but willing to put in the effort .

Very slow in helping. Waited 3 hours for CT Scans. Doctor totally forgot we very still in room. I finally opened curtain hoping they would see us. Doc says oh I'll be right back I still need to check labs. Glad we are visitors to area.

I fell and broke my leg pretty bad, the tibia and fibula. I was taking to Methodist and the were great. I was six weeks pregnant when I fell so they were limited in the ER to what they could give me. When I was moved to a room all the nurses and staff were great. They were so kind and helpful and didn't complain when I called them 90million times a day for pain meds or to use the restroom or reposition my leg. The only negative thing I would have to say is I was in the ER for ten hours. I got there at 7am and didn't have surgery until 7pm. But other than that I was very satisfied with the whole ordeal. Now I am home recovering and will be going back to see doc. Wood next week for a a follow up. A special thank you to the nursing staff, Sara and Alisha and Jodi and Whitney and Natalie and brian and Sharon and Linda and all the others.

I’ve been to this hospital a few times in emergency situations. The wait is always way too long. I went once in my first trimester of my pregnancy... so dehydrated to the point where I was shaking, waiting 2 hours to see someone. I got 3 bags of fluids... I’d say that was an emergency and I waited as long and someone with a bad cold. Totally unacceptable.

I set in the waiting room today literally for four hours with my daughter who couldn't stand on her own from vomiting and dizziness. They took her vitals twice that's how long we were there. We was leaving because it was more waiting time because after asking 4 times she told me there wasn't any beds available. Before you leave can you sign this paper it just says that we aren't refusing you treatment you're choosing to leave, I read the paper, it says that they were trying to send her for scans to check for any problems and I refused the scans so I didn't sign because they didn't send her for nothing except to continue waiting. Read before you sign they lie

Worst experience!!!! After waiting for 3 hours in the ER, I asked when will they "get" to my daughter. They said it went by severity. Although the lady next to us had a cold and went in before us. Finally when the nurse comes to get us to go to the back she was very rude to us because I guess the front staff told her we complained about our wait. She then said they have people dying and that my daughters pain isn't as bad, basically we were not a priority. She warned us we could be waiting for another 4 hours. After we told her we will leave, she said and I quote, " its doesn't matter we are billing your insurance regardless". We left! This happened tonight on 11/09/2017 we got there at 5:30 left at 9:00. Very inconsiderate staff and nothing was done to help us. Best part of the visit was the nice people we met in the waiting room.

I’m 23 weeks pregnant needing assistance because of severe leg pain. I’ve been patiently waiting for over an hour!!!! This is ridiculous. It’s such a small town you’d think you’d get prompt service. WRONG! I’ve asked several times what is taking so long and they don’t know. I’m beyond frustrated. I’m from out of town. Worst hospital I’ve ever been to.

I was there 3/16/17 and my entire experience was exceptional. I was sent there by my son's pediatrician thinking he may have appendicitis. He was taken in and the RN Sarah explained every step that was about to happen. She was so good with my son, making sure he was comfortable as he could be, and he didn't even feel the needle. She continued to check in on us to make sure we were ok throughout our time there. The PA Julie came in and went into detail about each of the previous steps and the tests being taken, she completely took my stress level from an on and off crying mom of 100 to feeling like he was in good hands. Doctor Mike came in after all the tests were completed. Turns out it wasn't appendicitis and went into detail of what it was, the difference between the two, and showed us how to check for it. He continued on in detail of what medication was prescribed. I can not show enough appreciation of how well my child was treated. Everyone was professional, kind, and did everything in a timely manner.

I am only giving one star because I have to to say what b.s they did! I waited 4 hours in waiting room and 30 in room to have the doctor walk in and say he called in a script for lidoderm patches and then couldn't get filled in my insurance. So all that time and no relief what so ever! That's some b.s. so another night with no sleep

Horrible receptionist... Not helpful at all. Rather than answering the specific questions regarding WHO I should talk to regarding the location of my son's surgery. She got an attitude and thought it was necessary to state she was the receptionist. Really???

I went to the ER on 2-14-17, I was in excruciating pain down my right leg as was seen by PA Jessica Bruskoski. Without running any tests she diagnosed me with sciatica. I was prescribed a narcotic for pain, muscle relaxer, and anti inflammatory. Everyone I talked to that I knew was shocked that I was not put on steroids. Three days later I was not getting any relief and made an appointment with my doctor who prescribed me steroids, within 3 hours I had relief. My doctor was also shocked that she prescribed me a narcotic to a patient that has high blood pressure. He immediately sent me for a CT scan wich showed I had a herniated disc L5. I usually would go to St Anthony's but my doctor that I have been with for 14 years switched to Methodist. I will never go to Methodist again!!

Went there for the flu a couple weeks ago and was very impressed with the professionalism of the ER. I waited about 45 minutes before I got treated and was out of there about 1 hour later. staff was great, especially Laura and Diamond.
