I appreciate the help that I received while I've been here. Yesterday on the 11th of August 2018 I had a seizure in the morning the remainder of the day after sleeping for a few hours I was up and about moving around because I knew that when I went to sleep that night my muscles from having a tighten up and they did. I also understand that most people do not know what a seizure feels like. I feel like I've been rolled over buy a steam roller and I hurt everywhere my muscles feel tight and I feel like I'm really hit by a car. I am for broken ribs and a broken wrist on the right side. By walking around yesterday like I did I made it possible for me to get past the muscle aches in maybe 2 or 3 days with which would have taken more along the line of a week. My nurse is doing wonderful and I hope that the rest of the staff is doing as well but I know that whoever is at the front desk on the 12th of August prior to 9 in the morning was not very polite or nice. I also know that they are very busy but asking for assistance in hospital I do believe is required and being told no to getting assistance is kind of rude when you don't know what the other person is feeling appreciate., thank you post

Went to this pathetic hospital with my blood pressure being 211/116 they sent me home with bp being 172/112. I SEE WHY THAT PLACE IS CALLED MURDER METHODIST. IT NEEDS TO BE SHUT DONE. IT SERVES NO PURPOSE. I should have went to east chicago.

My father was having breathing problems. And I took him here and for some odd reason I couldn't even get in the building. It was locked. So I called to ask why the main entrance was locked of course the lady didn't have a clue and told me to hold for security. So instead of waiting for my father to kill over I drove around until I found and open door. But of course there was no one at the desk and no one around to help. The only person in a uniform didn't even acknowledge us. I honestly can't believe that a place like this is where we are suppose to go for health care. I will be taking my father to the hospital in the next town over from now on.

If possible, never bring your child to this hospital! Been waiting on a transport for over 3hrs, and yet, I'm still here without an ETA. I offered to do the drive, but they won't release, saying he's a child. If it's really important that he gets seen, why is he being pushed back? Never again will I.

This is the worst Hospital I ever been in. I brought someone here at 7pm and they did not get seen until 1am. This is so ridiculous to have someone waiting this long. Community or Saint Anthony get patients right in and out. This is truly a horrible Hospital. Methodist Northlake doesn't even deserve a 1 start...Just a pitiful hospital.

today my freinds fiancee was broght in by ambulance and he was treated very poorly IMO. the ER nurse behind the desk was very RUDE and disrespectful to this man who also has PTSD. she called security because she didnt want to do her job and answer any of his questions after waiting for at least 45 minutes in the procedure room. just told him to get out and wait in the lobby. WHAT A C@#*! at least the security gaurd was respectful and was able to calm him down. when blood relitives are hours away and the only one there is not treated with respect and given answers to relay to family, that is NOT doing your job. and the condascending little smirk on her face proves to me that she does NOT care about the public she is supposed to be compassionate towards when they are in distress. probably some little rich white girl that took a job in the hood so she can claim her SJW status on a future resume.

Wow!!! I never go to the hospital unless it is absolutely necessary, but to sit in the waiting room for several hours with a high fever, chills, headache and so much pain that it actually brought me to the hospital for you to not treat me makes me realize that you shouldn't be open to the public. It is extremely apparent that you really don't give a fig about your patient's. Go literally anywhere else other than this hospital. You are probably better off seeing a fake doctor, heck that way you might actually get treated.

Horrendous experience with this facility; there are knowledgeable Nurses, but many are rude and discourteous. The is always a issue with the level of cleaniness of the building. Maybe the level of clientele predicates the type of service that you will receive but truly it is a place where in you would not bring a loved one for medical care and service.

My husband was sent there because it was tbe closets trauma center in our area and my surprise I was shocked at how bad they treat ppl my husband's experience there has been. Horrible,he has a searious injury and was in terrible pain and the staff there made him wait hours for pain medicine and to top that the staff there is unbelievable they are rude and very unprofessional they come of like they had no training in patient care at all and they wonder why ppl don't want to be there .

Terrible company. Do not offer a full range of services in Gary. Screwed up my billing. It took a threatened lawsuit to shut down the mouthy clerk who billed me a year after my account was paid. I went here for a mammogram and they found a lump of incompetence and profit motive.

I went to Methodist Southlake and experienced expert care...I requested referral to an alcohol detox or rehab, and was transferred by ambulance to Methodist Northlake. When I arrived with the EMT's I requested to put on socks before I stepped on the floor, the nurse said, "you'll be okay," and the EMT said, " she would just like the socks." The socks were about 3 feet away from the nurse, but she still refused and made me walk even further on the filthy floor barefoot. I was later informed that I only had one available time to brush my teeth or take a shower, so I went a full day without brushing my teeth or taking a shower, when I regularly take 2 showers a day. When I did take a shower, there were pubic hairs from the previous person in the room, and when I addressed my concerns to the charge nurse Veronica, she said, "when have you ever been to a hotel that was perfectly clean." I said, "Yea, I don't know but I get what your saying." The truth is that I have never been to a hotel with pubic hair left over. I also had bugs crawling around in my bathroom and in the hallways on a daily basis. When I addressed this to staff, they said that the department was an "add on to the hospital and we are lucky that it is only bugs." The unit I was in was supposed to be "structured" with a schedule, but each "group" was off schedule and lasted about 5-15 minutes, and no one was competent to actually meaningfully participate because they were either so drugged or just delirious. Medications were not appropriated at consistent times. It depended on whenever the nurses were done gossiping, talking about R.Kelly, Love and Hip Hop, deciding what they wanted for lunch, or listening to inappropriate rap and hip hop songs. None of it was appropriate for a therapeutic environment. They listened to rebel music and during quiet times I was forced to listen to the nurses music ON BLAST. I was threatened at breakfast by a patient that he would kill me, that I should kill myself, and that if he saw me he would beat me or have someone else beat me. The nurses Cynthia and Anha defended him and told me to stay away from him even though I was already across the room from me and he was yelling at me across the room because I defended another patient who wanted to pray the "Lord's Prayer." The patient was being attacked by Clifford X for praying and I defended him. I immediately told nurse Cynthia and she said she would talk to him. The doctor decided to release him to the public today, at the same time as I was discharged. They told me that I could file a police report, and I did immediately. Then the social worker and Anha approached my car and asked what I was doing. I had already expressed to Anha that I was going to file a police report. The social worker Michelle asked me why I did not mention the incident to Dr. Butt. I explained that I was concerned about my case, not someone else's and that it is the nurses responsibility to observe and report to the doctor about patient behavior. Cynthia and Anha and all of the other patients witnessed his threats, but the nurses did not report this violent behavior to the doctor. He is probably back on the streets of Gary tonight or wherever, after making homicidal threats because Cynthia and Anha were not concerned with their responsibilities. Like I said, most of the staff is concerned with themselves, and insincere with the care they provide. It is a terrible facility and should be shut down...they are not doing any meaningful therapeutic practices. They just want to play spades, listen to rap, gossip, snap their gum in your face when you ask a question, and eat. Sincerely.

JUST CAME IN TO THE E.R I'M 15 WEEKS PREGNANT CAME IN WITH BACK PAIN, BELLY PAIN HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO KEEP ANY FOOD DOWN SOAR THROAT CHILLS, AND THE WHITE LADY IN THE FRONT DESK LAUGHED AT ME AND SAID ITS NORMAL YOU'RE PREGNANT.... 7/26/18 @ 3:52PM IF I COULD RATE IT 0 STARS I WOULD!

My 40 y.o. daughter became ill while driving home from Chicago with her young daughter. They pulled into Methodist Hospital and were seen through the ER. The doctors and nurses were very caring and kind.The support staff addressed us in the halls asking if they could be of assistance to us. In a 24 hr. period my daughter received excellent care from her assigned doctor, her daughter was taken out to their car by a kind nurse to retrieve personal items and to lock their vehicle, a social worker talked to us about options regarding getting my daughters car home, the nursing supervisor checked in with us to see if we were getting everything we needed, the environmental department checked on the cleanliness of our room, and a countless number of nurses and nursing assistants provided wonderful care.

What a joke! Worst ER ever! Went with a friend having severe pain. After 2.5 hours, they only managed a blood sugar reading. Still waiting for a full blood test and xray and some pain management! Waiting and waiting...we ended up just walking out. At that rate we would be there for over 12 hours. People must die there all the time waiting for care.
