Excellent care of my mother by the nurses and doctors. The ER receptionist was extremely inappropriate. My mother arrived in the ER with chest pain/pressure. We explained that she had been diagnosed that week with two 90% blockages in a primary artery of the heart, an angioplasty was scheduled in another hospital, but suddenly was having symptoms and needed to see a triage nurse immediately for evaluation. The receptionist did not acknowledge what was said to her and requested my mother's SS number. Reaffirmation that my mother would be seen quickly, some indication of understanding of the urgency of the moment, and then a polite request for her SS number and name would have been much more helpful than ignoring the information that had been given her. She responded inadequately with lack of judgment or compassion in a moment of crisis. Then emphasized that she needed to have information about the patient before doing anything. I told her my emphasis was to save her life. Highly recommend a more mature person in such a position. The care of the nurses and doctors in the ER was considerate, efficient, and compassionate. The receptionist that evening left a very negative impression.

I don't understand the bad reviews here. I had heart surgery and the entire staff was competent and capable. It always disturbed me that two or three doctors would stick their head in the door and ask how I was doing so they could charge a fee, but the nursing staff and other professional team members were superior. They pretty much took care of every need I had and did it quickly. These people, especially Dr. Dave Kaminskas, deserve nothing but appreciation for the job you do. If you are sitting in an emergency room for 9 hours, it might not be an emergency. You were alive enough to complain. Appreciate what you have instead of complaining about what you don't have.

My father has been coming here when needed since 2005 and every time were here the staff is very courteous and they have a staff of great doctors that have led to my dad having 12 good years so far of good living after heart failure.

My fiancé, who is a dialysis patient, went intp the ER with chest pains. They did an ekg on him and tested labs, did another ekg and said nothing showed up, they couldn't figure out what was wrong. They kept him over night for observation and sent him home the next day with pain meds, even though he was still having chest pains, and said they would schedule a stress test. A day later he was feeling worse and he finally went to Parkview where they did an echo cardio gram just to find out my fiancé had fluid build up on his heart; They drained off 12 OZ of fluid!! Why did the staff at Lutheran not do an echo cardio gram? The Dr's at Parkview said had he waited any longer he would have died. Plus, the Lutheran staff should had known to an echo cardio gram on a dialysis patient with chest pains! Had they proceeded with the stress test, it would have killed him instantly! Lutheran, because of your negligence, my fiancé almost lost his life! Thank God for Parkview!

Not a fan of sitting in the hallway for treatment. I feel that is a HIPPA violation, especially when I can hear the lady across from me in a room. I know just about all her health information. I know her address and telephone number and birthday and the last four of her social. What if I was some psycho individual, that is just not good for someone. The care I received was pretty decent, just keep people out of the hallway for treatment.

My husband came by ambiance from Marion General Hospital, where they say he broke his back, arrived at 7pm FINALLY at 10:15 he goes for an MRI, done around 11:45. Still NO WORD AT 3:15AM What's going on. My husband still laying here in a lot of pain.

Very unhappy with the care received during an 8 day stay. It is very obvious that the making/stretching the dollar is more important that the patients care and comfort. Several examples, Nurse to patient ratio is 1/5 and on certain shifts there are no Nurse techs. There’s no way 1 nurse can manage 5 patients in the hospital without the patient suffering because lack of attention. Some time’s it took over an half hour for a nurse to answer the urgent call request. Had nurses elect to BS in the hallways instead of doing their jobs. Had nurses and techs leave a patient on the toilet that was dependent on their help for over a half hour. Equipment is old and worn out. Continued to have problems with non-working equipment. I must add, there are a few wonderful nurses there. God bless them for their strength and their ability to work with the lazy non-caring employees that management continues to employ. I have been in 7 different hospitals, this was by far the worst.

Rating mediocre due to Billings. On several occasions we received invoice for our portion of bill a full 11 months after date of service. Insurance paid their portion within 30 days of service. Totally uncalled for. Also had one first invoice a full 14 months after service that was not paid by insurance due to a coding error. Lutheran turned it over to a collection agency which I fought. After 18 months, Lutheran finally corrected their coding error and the bill was paid by insurance... sloppy billing department.

My friend completely hit the floor because she lost consciousness, busted her head off a floor, sat at the E.R. waiting 4 1/2 hrs while running three tests just for the dr. to say there was nothing wrong with my friend!!!! How the hell does someone lose consciousness out of no where and nothing be wrong??? The dr. and nurses was all very rude I completely dont recommend this place to anyone!!!!!

Thomas Spears

Very nice people Pros Who care

5 star service! The nurses are amazing.

I had a very good experience at Lutheran Hospital. Thanks to my team of nurses, my recovery and care was excellent. I was in room 406 during my 5 day stay at the hospital. My nurses took very good care of me, they were compassionate and they made sure my needs were met. I want to thank them all for being so kind and caring.

Shelley B

Thank you for saving the lives of my loved ones in a terrible situation where only God and the wonderful care from Lutheran health care providers and our first responders could have given this miraculous outcome !!!

Nice hospital. Some of the nurses weren't very pleasant after surgery once I got to my room. Most of them acted like I was putting them out if I asked for anything! (Not Michelle, though)I'm over 65, so I buzzed them to help when I used the bathroom, so I didn't fall with my IV bag. It always took them awhile to respond. And, I overheard the nurses/aids on night shift arguing whose job it was! Are you kidding me?! And, when I finally get released, there is a bill already in my mailbox stating if I'd paid it the day before, I would've gotten a discount. But, the next bill that came was for the full amount, because the hospital had sent the bill to the wrong insurance company. Duh. I thought that is why they made copies of our insurance cards.

A close relative had surgery to remove a portion of lung due to Cancer, she is a life long non-smoker and in her 80's. We were told that there would be a possibility that the anesthesia administered could cause temporary mental issues, especially due to her age. The possibility became reality. Our loved one was seeing things that were not there and generally being unruly. Staff including Doctors, Nurses and other medical staff were very friendly and helpful.

Excellent service and care every single time. The staff really cares for their patients. I have had good experience with the surgical, emergency and gastrointestinal doctors and nurses.

J. Seth D

Extremely kind and caring nurses and doctors. They actually listen to all you say and work to figure out what's wrong. They actually care.

Andrew Galvin

Lutheran is usually a pretty good organization. So it it rather baffling that the doors from the parking garage into the hospital lock automatically without any signage letting the public know. I was at the emergency waiting room when some items were needed from my car in the parking garage. I trekked from the ER to the parking garage and when trying to return it was not possible to enter the hospital. The security staff said they were "contractors" and it wasn't their problem. So to make Lutheran even better here are two recommendations: 1. Put some signs up/on the entrance to let people know they can't get back in after 8pm. 2. Heaven forbid a senior citizen parks on that side of the hospital and has a health issue...the door area is poorly lit, doors locked...what could go wrong? How about one of those emergency stations they have on college campuses (blue lights) to allow notification of a emegency? Unless pesky notifications would interfere with the security "contractors" coffee breaks....

I love this hospital . always had very nice doctors and nurses. They always took care of us and always found the problem that we had and took care of it.

If you need prompt cancer care avoid Dr. Carr and this place in its entirely. The doctors own words and actions have earned him a report to the state and possible legal action. He not only drug his heels at every turn, but skated around every question asked. When confronted on why my medical care was being hampered and why he wasn't doing anything but waste my time he did nothing but get very visibly upset and threaten me. Go anywhere but here if you need help with your care!

I totally agree with Brian. I am blown away with the lack of service and care that my sister has been receiving since her stay at this hospital. I am from Michigan and have been a patient and have had a husband on disability who has been in and out of hospitals for years. Both Borgess and Bronson in Kalamazoo offer the best care in all areas. From top notch Doctors to the housekeeping staff . . . . the hospital staff employees are on the ball and are speedy and efficient. I guess I can only compare my experiences to what I am seeing first hand at Lutheran!! The lack of nursing staff there is sad. I was just there yesterday, went into the hall to talk with one, but no one was there!! I mean no one was to be found from one hall to another!! When one did finally appear, I had to ask for the basic needs of my sister, who was the patient; like pillow cases, ice water, gowns, etc. If you are ever a patient there, you will need assistance from your family members. Then when she needed help to get up and use the restroom, the nurse suggested to use the bed pain, because it was too much of a hassle to get her in and out of bed!!!! Your frickin' kidding me right??? And I don't mean to just bash on the nursing staff, some are much more efficient than others. It just appears to me that the administration of the hospital operations is poor. Patient care is not stressed enough. Compassion is a word not know to many who work at Lutheran, I am sorry to say. Today she has waited, without food or drink since the supper hour last night, to have surgery this AM. It is now 4 PM and she is only know having her procedure done!!! Twenty four hours with no food or water . . . in a hospital for God's sake!!! Who are you people?? Maybe the name should be changed to "Only The Strong Will Survive"!!! To complicate things even more, why I was visiting yesterday, three different professional people, came in from three different area's of treatment and told her three completely different opinions as to how she was going to be treated and if and when she was going to get to go home!!! Does anyone there even talk to one another?? Does anyone there even read a chart before they enter the patient room?? Does anyone there even care ??? Seems unlikely to me. I am very sorry she has to be there and I hope after this ordeal is through, she will never have to be admitted to this facility again.

Poor quality. Had to have second CT scan because of their negligence (yet I had to pay for it). They don't listen to patient. I Received a bill, 5 days later they were inquiring why I hadn't paid up yet. Go to Parkview.

Been coming here since I was a child. Never have I had a bad experience. Even as the old staff retire and the new refill their shoes, I still have a comfortable and informed experience. Keep up the great work Lutheran.

Terrible experiences at Lutheran over the past year. Last year I miscarried and the nurse told me I would never be able to have children... upon seeing my gyno she said the nurse should have Never said that. She kicked me while I was down not to mention it took 12 hours to get an ultrasound in the er. Ridiculous. Then, took in a friend into the er for a suicide attempt. They sent a man into the bathroom with her for a drug test. Left her unsupervised for hours on end. After being there for 6 hours and them doing nothing we decided to leave and go to a different hospital. They didn't notice us leave. They didn't call for 12 HOURS to find out why she left. Then sent cops to look for her. Ridiculous when they didn't care while we were there. She was already admitted into another hospital at this point. Staff is rude and don't seem to care about their patients. It's not very clean. The only reason I'd ever come to this hospital again is if someone was having heart problems. Any other issue I would suggest going to another hospital. Lutherans been going down the toilet for years.

Rex Mercer

Its a good hospital but the only problem is billing will not work with you on payments. They will insist you get a loan if you cannot pay a deductible in time. I understand that they need to make money but I cannot afford $150 a month. Hopefully, they will work with me before I go to collections.

Today is 5 May 2016. This morning, my wife and I had an appointment with our endocrinologist. Usually, we see him at DuPont but, because of staff scheduling issues, we had to see him at Lutheran. when we arrived at the valet parking area outside MOB #1, it was pandemonium. There was a large number of cars that had not been parked. I got out of my car and asked the first person I saw if he'd seen a valet. The guy launched into a diatribe how he was doing the best he could, he was helping others (really?), he could only do so much. I reminded him that all I asked was were the valets on duty, a reasonable question considering the backlog of UNPARKED cars. I asked for his name and the name of his supervisor. I never found the supervisor going into the hospital or when my wife and I came out. I asked other valets where the supervisor was and no one knew. I called Lutheran to register a complaint but no one called me back. I've already told my endocrinologist: We meet at DuPont or we don't meet.

My son just spent 3 days in the pediatrics. I have not ever met more caring and patient medical staff. They was great to my son and patient to answering parents questions. The staff did a great job helping us feel comfortable. I highly recommend this hospital to everyone.

Gale Buckhannah

Focuses on the look of their facility more than the needs of their patients and staff. Some staff regularly work 12+ hours without breaks and even have difficulty finding time to use the restroom due to them being overburdened with patients. The result? Extreme staff stress, burnout, and patients not receiving the care they need and deserve. Communication between units is also poor and the sense of ownership and teamwork is in a critical state. Additionally, a RN was found sleeping while he was giving blood to a patient. This employee was NOT fired, but rather relocated to day side where the patient workload is even greater. A toxic member of the team to begin with who put himself above the team and the patients... and yet he was not dismissed. Understand that the priority here is on their IMAGE, not on quality. Beware.

Michael Gross

I went into the ER on a Friday for possible leg blood clot and heart issues. I am a diabetic with Cirrhosis of liver also so many other issues to be dealt with,. From the ER Docs, nurses, techs everyone listed to my several concerns, had the right tests done and kept me overnight for their and my peace of mind due to long term Diabetic survivor. I praise this Hospital and this is not made up as I am a child of God and ask God to continue to bless this place and everyone who walks in the door to get awesome, top notch care.... I walked out feeling very good with some new meds and treatment info to help me cope and live with Cirrhosis and be here to provide hope, help to others!!!

Krista Reid

I was put in a room in the ER because there weren't beds. The nurses turned off my call light and never checked on me even though I had to go to the bathroom for an hour and they repeatedly turned off my call light outside the room and never sent anyone in! I was put NPO because I needed surgery even though nobody could tell me why I needed surgery even the surgeon refused to do surgery because there was no reason! After all the times I was given pain medicine even though I only asked 1 time 4 different nurses gave me pain medicine without asking or even checking my band!

Olivia

I understand that ER visits are long but this is ridiculous. They brought in an EKG and chest xray mechine and neither of them worked. The nurses and Doctor are nice but you can't find a nurse ever. You push the button and they never show up. Everything looks out of date and kind of dirty and you can't get a simple response about anything. Every question is just answered with a "we will see what your nurse says" or "I'll check with your doctor" but we never get an answer. The people there really are nice and maybe they were just understaffed but it took 3 times as long for them to do anything they said they would. I think next time we will go the few extra miles and go to parkview.

****WARNING .......STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE IF YOU,OR YOUR LOVED ONE IS SICK . .......I SEE THAT LUTHERAN HAS BECOME AS HIDEOUS AND DISGUSTING AS PARKVIEW. .......LUTHERAN HAS FINALLY CAUGHT UP WITH PARKVIEW............PATIENT ABUSE , PATIENT NEGLECT.......UNCARING, IGNORANT NASTY NURSES AND NURSES AIDES ......HOSPITAL STAFF WHO ONLY CARE ABOUT THEMSELVES ......NOT PATIENTS. .....THE DIRECTOR OF NURSING STAFF IS "MARY ANN REARICK" ........SO YOU KNOW WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL THE ABUSE AND NEGLECT OF PATIENTS. ......YOU CAN ALSO FILE A COMPLAINT ONLINE WITH THE STATE OF INDIANA NURSING BOARD . .......STAY HEALTHY , USE HOME REMEDIES AND KEEP AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AND ALL HOSPITALS.

First class Hospital!

Im her now in the ER i told then i have a stint and having chest pains 30 mins later still sitting in the lobby bout to leave and go to another ER this is a joke

Josh Hyatt

Lutheran Hospital has the following: 1-Frivolous billing dept. 2-An inept "Chief Medical Officer", 3-The ability to allow an oversight on their behalf to expand into an ordeal taking more than 30 days to resolve. In all reality said oversight should have been resolved in less than 7 days. Their Chief Medical Officer was "busy" and still won't return phone calls.

Brian Gaines

I am absolutely amazed at how poorly this hospital is run. It is the epitome of what is wrong with the US health care system. I would recommend going anywhere but here, including a witch doctor. Hopefully the new CEO has an ounce of competency, as that would be a welcome improvement.

Michael Meisener

It's got great doctors

Horrible Place to get any service from ... Very impatient and disrespectful staff Nurses were polite though I been here twice since I move to Indiana Both times were horrible Cafeteria workers very disrespectful and talk with so much slang you can’t understand what their saying Food very horrible recommend you eat before you COME But other than that this a nice hospital

Liability issues!!! Student nurses push IV narcotics in WITHOUT ANY SUPERVISION....The ER manager Mrs. West said this is totally acceptable practice at Lutheran Hospital!!! This was following the student nurse not even knowing how to start an IV. Two nurses later tried to give me the same pill then were ranting about it in the hallway. Sat in the CT hallway for over an hour. Listening to staff discuss weekend plans. The doctor said he wanted the entire bag of fluids to go in before I left (he had to flush open my IV that student nurse hadn't even left open to run) and the nurse who came to discharge me said that less than half the bag was "good enough." Then as I left in pain and tears they so compassionately cared only about the co-pay I needed to provide before leaving! Needless to say the care falls less than short of substandard. When I called to complain about very valid issues they simply PASSED IT OFF as the quality control department said it looks good. The staff was rude and impatient. I would never recommend this ER to ANYONE!!!!

83 yr old mother visiting from out of town. She can't speak due to a previous stroke and onset dementia. Has muscle weakness in legs and can't get out of car to stand or walk. Take her to ER at Lutheran, they admit her for 3 days (number of days allowed that Medicare will pay them for is what they told me), then a social worker from another floor tells me at 4:00pm they are releasing her and she needs to go for rehabilitation. They want to know right then and there which nursing home/rehab center I want her to go to. I'm in shock and frustrated b/c evidently the social worker on her unit has been writing notes in her file - but never contacts me by phone or in person. Don't know anything about nursing homes/rehab in this area and never had a chance to visit any because both social worker and doctor treating her have never attempted to contact me. Meanwhile I have been asking the nurse where the doctor is. Totally disgusted with their lack of communication as I have been there everyday visiting and waiting to hear from someone. Nurse always says she doesn't know anything. Second visit to ER b/c my mother fell and broke her collar bone. Taken to Lutheran ER by ambulance. CAT scan done, x-ray confirms broken collar bone. They give her a flimsy arm sling that doesn't stay in place. Send her home w/o rx for pain meds. Meanwhile she is crying is pain at home. Dr. Sutter was the ER doctor. Discharge papers mention taking meds prescribed, and refer to her as child - WTH. In ER room from 1:30am to 4:30am, explain that she has zero tolerance for pain. Had to call the ER back next day and ask why rx was never given for pain. No list of pain meds on her discharge paper. Finally get ER doctor on duty to write a rx - it's a 3 day rx on a Friday night. Can't get her an ortho appt for at least a wk, they don't care. Is that how they would want their mother treated? Won't be going back to Lutheran ever again. I don't think the ER doctor ever listened or retained what I said to him when he was asking questions about tolerance for pain, did the least he could in my opinion for my mother. Totally disappointed with lack of communication and their care and concern for an elderly woman.

Randall Elam

I was in distress so I went to Lutheran Hospital walked into the emergency entrance and went to the front desk needing help and the lady was to busy trying to repair her watch so I waited on her then she finally asked may I help you so I told her I needed to see a doctor and finally was admitted and having a very good idea what was wrong with me after suffering for several years from black mold exposure and asked to be referred to a specialist only to be told by the doctor that's not what's wrong with you, well guess what my mom dad and me have all been sick from black mold exposure and black mold is deadly to the elderly so thanks to the ignorance of the doctor not listening to there patent was boarder line the death of my parents and prolonged my suffering as well. PAY MORE ATTENTION TO YOUR PATENTS!

Julia

Every time I've been here, the staff have always been very friendly. Even when they were extremely busy, they made sure I was taken care of. I've never had to argue with them about where I'd prefer they put an IV in me, simply because I said I knew it wouldn't hurt if they listened to me. I've had to fight tooth and nail for this at every other hospital I've visited. This is definitely the best hospital I've ever been to.

Brian Dorsett

It is my belief that Lutheran records and radiology imaging systems are compromised. Either due to malware, or pure ignorance. It has been confirmed, at least personally, that records have been "shuffled" and are not of the correct patients. This includes imaging and pathology reports. Trying to work with staff to correct this issue gets you nowhere. They simply trust their own corruption. I have been labeled a "security threat", and all I asked them to do was objectively review the records with me. These people are criminal. They are no different than Parkview. The doctors either work at both, or they are connected through family, etc. They will look the other way, or label you, when any of them screw up.

Horrible! went in the emergency room for chest pains i have been having the people were nice on the 1st shift but after shift change was awful, only thing they did was eliminate it being my heart left my husband and i sit and didnt help me at all with the chest pains i was having, 4.5 hrs later left with chest pains, no answers, what a joke so upset and the Physicians assistant was an ass to me, the nurse Mary couldve cared less whether i was there.. I wont go back back ever again! Maybe if they had less patients theyd learn to hire better staff. Went in there with no answers , came out no answers and im sure a big ass bill...

Lawrence Kreider

Been in the ER for over 4 1/2 hours just to find out what is wrong from blood work and urine sample. Staff and nurses are kind but this place is completely understaffed and very poorly managed! I don't know how more people don't die here?

Please what ever you do do not go to this hospital!!!!!! My sister went their they did surgery put 5 tubes in her stomach area ( they discharged to go home still being sick couldn't walk and hurting and it only had been 3 days after major surgery) And after she got home she fell!!!!!!!!!! They should have sent her to a rehab center to help her get stable.....

Barnabas Brown

Visiting my aunt in the hospital. Bathrooms were a little dirty, nurse staff was very friendly though. Had to do some work remotely as was during the day and the waiting room was kind of noisy but once the kids left it became much quieter.

Matthew Reed

Went to Lutheran for a off set broken leg on saturday and sent me home with crutches. Said it wasn't life threatening, or a emergency so there was nothing they could do until monday.

Cathy Holt Gilliom

I've been in several hospitals and found this one a very good one! As a patient and as a long term (2 1/2 month) spouse of a very sick husband in the cardio-vascular intensive care unit, I found the Doctors, nurses, techs, well literally everyone down to housekeeping to be very caring and supportive during both of my stays! I think if you are kind and courteous to people they give back in kind! I for one will go back to Lutheran hospital if I need hospitalized again and will recommend it to others! Maybe those who are giving bad reviews just caught someone on an "off" day!? They are human just like us after all! I'm not excusing bad behavior day after day, but as I said, the way you treat people will definitely determine how you will be treated, either with warmth and caring or with just what you need when you need it without friendly caring banter!

Donny Anderson

I just spent 4 days on the Cardiac floor with my mom. While everyone was very nice, they were sorely understaffed. If there had been an emergency, I don't know how quickly the staff would have been able to respond. For instance, as soon as mom got out of surgery she was feeling nauseous. I told the nurse who was going to get her meds. 10 - 15 mins later, and no nausea meds yet, Mom began to convulse. I ran out to the hallway (couldnt find an emergency button to push) where i couldnt find anyone - noone at the nurses station, noone in the hallway - so I began to yell and whistle for help. Next, mom needed to use the restroom and she was unable to get up and walk alone, so we pressed the nurses button. Noone came for 30 minutes! I took her, so no harm no foul, but that was typical for them to take between 10-30 minutes to get to the room. Then, we would request pain medication, or whatever med request, and 20-30 mins. later, they would return and sometimes without the medication. My mom's pain levels would get out of control the first couple days until I let them know in no uncertain terms that it was UNACCEPTABLE to make her wait like that. The nurses were unable to respond in a timely manner because they didn't have the staff. I could go on and on with examples, but these are the reasons I stayed the whole time mom was there. I was afraid to leave her alone because in case of emergency, I had no confidence in the staff being able to respond in time. I will reiterate, the staff were capable and friendly. Just not enough of them.

Dennis Brown

Friendly staff but could be a little better at giving directions to areas inside the facilities. I was just visiting a friend.

I will not go to any other er, yeah sometimes you dont get a nurse to answer your needs right away, but they are busy, people just need to learn to be patient!

I will never go back. Horrible and rude nurses. No respect for family’s wishes!!

Sitting in "Quick ER" for 9 hours watching them milk BC/BS because the main company is in toilet and have to find someway to get revenue. Keep telling me finding me a room, but that was 4 hours ago. Asked if they could send my results up to Parkview. Which is where I should have gone. Welcome IU Health. Sat in hallway waiting for a room 7 hours. Other patients bypassed me, I guess I was a display on how short handed they really are. Yes, when you fire have the staff, moral suffers. What a joke of a hospital.

Brandon Smith

Do not deliver you're babies here they're a joke. The nicu is amazing. But there was neglect due to their staff.

Due to the medicaid law suite. This company is still not looking into their medical studies and seeing that they are doing wrong treatments for their patients and over charging them for things that dont even need to be done. This place needs to be looked into.

Have had multiple experiences with Lutheran over the past 15 years and they've all been great! From having a sibling's concussion treated, to multiple surgeries in the family (including my own) to a niece staying in the NICU, every time we are treated with care and respect. I even saw a nurse help watch another family's child and give her crayons when they were unable to bring her back into their room. If it wasn't so far from where I live now I would continue to use this hospital.

Bill Gantt

unappropriated behavior by doctor and staff

I had a great experience at Lutheran Hospital. The nurses are so personable and the doctors really work with you one on one. The food service was really yummy too.

Wish I could give -ve star. We always went to Parkview and never had a problem. This time on someones recommendation we took a surgeon from Lutheran who used their OR and admitted as inpatient. The most horrible experience ever in fact it was a nightmare which still continues after two months of surgery. Extremely incompetent crew all over. However, some nurses did stand out in a 20 days stay but on average, it sucked. Recent experience with a followup test, we had a radiology scan set up at 9 AM. We got there at 8:30 AM but registration process did not complete until 9:50 AM. Many patients came and left, it looked like we were on some kind of punishment drill. After almost 45 more minutes later, a nurse came and took me back for scan and broke the news that now you have to drink solution and wait another hour. Say what? Could have given me solution when I was rotting in the waiting room for registration. Anyway, they sent me back to waiting area and said to let registration people know when all solution is gone. Told both ladies but they did not inform people inside. Again, more punishment for us. Finally around noon I had to walk inside and told nurse that solution is gone/drunk. 20 minutes later I was called in again, and scan was done in 15 minutes. The whole experience was full of disinterest, I don't care, and screw you patient type. With insurance claims of over 200 K, and wiping all my deductable in couple of days, I expected some care and respect. Staff of this hospital miserably failed to provide that. I will not recommend this hospital for any needs. Don't know how they are still in business.
