THE WORST EMERGENCY ROOM EVER !!!! Don’t ever think to come to the emergency room because you will be waiting forever !! We had Worst experience ever !! We regret coming here !!

had the misfortune to experience this place first hand this weekend... the staff are AWFUL - so rude - unnecessarily so. The staff would promise updates/come to get me from the waiting area for my husband that was in trauma - but, didn't. When I'd check to get a status, I got "you'll have to wait". The doctors however, are amazing. Most of the ones we interacted with were residents, but, so great. The bathrooms were gross, and, had no toilet paper - when I mentioned the lack of toilet paper to the desk staff in the ER, they didn't seem to care. I had to ask if there was another bathroom... the response was pointing and saying - back there. It's not like we had a choice of where we were taken in the ambulance - but, staff has a choice on whether to be professional and kind. FAIL

They REALLY try and help people when their sick. working there was amazing! People, dignitaries from all over the world visit there at the time I was working on the burn unit.

7 hours later....Nothing. Absolutely nothing while staff sits there and watches other staff work, or they sit around gossiping at triage.

Very unprofessional.They wrote in my patient Discharge summary that I used overdose Tylenol which I didn’t and I didn’t say anything like that. I only came for a complaint about urinary tract infection. I never said I use narcotic or overdose on any drug. I have never done anything like that in my life. I don’t have any mental ailment. I only complained about a discomfort that needed urgent attention which is the urinary track infection I wasn’t attended to and I was in pain for 6 hours. I took a single dose of over the counter Tylenol and they ended up writing in my discharge summary about Narcotic drugs. I’m deeply sad cus I’ve never over dose in my life.After taking antibiotics for 7days the symptoms still remain. I came back with burning sensations and they couldn’t figure out why I’m having urinary track infections after several days of prescribed antibiotic. They make you wait for hours and still they are not passionate about helping you to get well.They are not working to help anyone they just want to clock in and clock out.

Incorrect surgery done at Northwestern Hospital I was scared and in pain I have never seen a medical team work so well problem was recognised and treated I was treated with respect I felt truly blessed and thankful Black female doctor a true professional who excelled in her position I can only say Thank you to all and may god bless you if only there were more

I don't know what people are talking about when they say they've gotten the worst service ever. This hospital treats everyone without regards in the patients ability to pay. One of The Best hospital!!!

This was definitely the worst experience i ever received! Sorivette Surillo Ortiz was the doctor that i had when i went to the ER. She was extremely unprofessional she did not took me seriously when i was talking to her when i was explaining my situation i was so scared and she just made me feel even more scared i did not felt safe at all. Also the nurses were also unprofessional they were using there cell phones during working hours and when one of them drew blood she made a huge mess and a lot of blood stained my white sheets the good thing i was not scared of blood but still very unprofessional. When my father came that was when that Ortiz lady took me seriously.

Dont ever go to the emergency room at stroger. It's like a walk in doctor clinic. You will sit there for hours. The police will wheel in incarcerated individuals that trump any other person. You wont even be registered for hours. Must be way understaffed or very lazy or both. Take the extra half hour to drive to a different hospital. That extra half hour drive could save your life and or hours and hours of waiting. Avoid ER at all costs. Ive seen a few emergency rooms in my day, this gets 10 stars for being the absolute worst slowest and poorly run ever
